En 1912, le roi Rama VI instaura l'ère bouddhiste dont le début fut fixé au 1er avril 543 avant JC, année du passage de Bouddha dans le Nirvana. Donc d'après le calendrier thaï, 2014 correspond à l'année 2557.
Ce document est à l'origine un entier postal (2 baht, date d'émission inconnue) évoquant la figure de proue (une tête de phénix ?) d'une des barges royales ("Suphannahong", reconstruite en 1911 sous le règne de Rama VI) utilisées lors des processions à Bangkok.
Le petit timbre en haut à gauche (15 baht) fait partie d'une série (10 timbres) émise le 10 mai 2011, consacrée aux plages les plus populaires de Thaïlande, Thale Waek ici.

In 1912, King Rama VI established the Buddhist era whose beginning was set for April 1, 543 BC, the year of the passing of Buddha in Nirvana. So according to the Thai calendar, 2014 corresponds to the year 2557.
This document is originally a postal stationary (2 Baht, unknown date of issue) evoking the figurehead (a phoenix head?) of one of the Royal Barges ("Suphannahong" here, rebuilt in 1911 under the reign of Rama VI) used during processions in Bangkok.
The small stamp on the top left (15 Baht) is part of a series (10 stamps) issued on May 10, 2011, dedicated to the most popular beaches in Thailand, Thale Waek here.
Ces 10 timbres ont été émis en grand nombre, pour les touristes étrangers en particulier, le tarif correspondant à l'envoi d'une carte postale.
Ce site de Thale Waek (province de Krabi, sud du pays) est célèbre pour ce banc de sable qui relie 2 petites îles, uniquement une partie de l'année.
Le timbre en bas à gauche (3 baht), émis le 28 mars 2003, est consacrée à la Croix-Rouge thaïlandaise de la jeunesse, fondée en 1922 par le prince Paribatra Sukhumbhand afin d'inciter les jeunes thaïlandais à être de bons citoyens et à offrir des services volontaires à la société.
Le dernier timbre ci-dessus (2 baht), émis le 5 décembre 1994, commémore le 120ème anniversaire de la création du Conseil d'état, en même temps que le Conseil privé (un corps de conseillers nommés par le roi), en 1874, à l'initiative du roi Rama V.
Ce Conseil d'état deviendra plus tard le conseil de ministres constituant le gouvernement national.
Le palais royal à Bangkok ainsi que les portraits des rois Rama V et Rama IX (le roi au pouvoir lors de l'émission du timbre) sont représentés sur ce timbre.

The stamp on the lower left (3 Baht), issued on March 28, 2003, is dedicated to the Thai Red Cross Youth, founded in 1922 by Prince Paribatra Sukhumbhand to inculcate Thai youth to be good citizen and offering voluntary services to the society.
The last stamp above (2 Baht), issued on December 5, 1994, commemorates the 120th anniversary of the creation of the Council of State, together with the Privy Council (a body of councilors appointed by the king), in 1874 , on the initiative of King Rama V.
This Council of State later became the Council of Ministers constituting the national government.
The royal palace in Bangkok as well as the portraits of kings Rama V and Rama IX (the king in power when the stamp was issued) are featured on this stamp.
