Le timbre à droite est a priori un timbre personnalisé (tarif domestique jusqu'à 50g - 1,60€ actuellement) évoquant le cercle polaire et le village de vacances du Père Noël ("Santa Claus Holiday Village") situé près de la ville de Rovaniemi.
Ce village de vacances offrant un hébergement de qualité et des activités variées (y compris des rencontres avec le Père Noël), est situé près du bureau de poste officiel du Père Noël ("Joulupukin Pääposti" en finnois).

Pierre a complété son affranchissement avec un 2ème timbre (0,10€) afin d'atteindre le tarif en vigueur pour un envoi international prioritaire jusqu'à 20g (1,70€).
Ce timbre fait partie d'une jolie série (4 timbres), émise le 9 mai 2017, consacrée à la migration de masse vers le nord des oiseaux de l'Arctique, appelée Arktika en Finlande.
Ces 4 timbres ont été émis dans un bloc-feuillet et 2 de ces timbres (0,10€ et 0,20€) ont été également imprimés en carnet de 15 timbres autocollants.
Les moments les plus spectaculaires de cette migration ont lieu en mai lorsque des millions d'oiseaux migrent via le golfe de Finlande vers leurs lieux de nidification dans la toundra arctique.
Comme par exemple l'espèce de canard plongeur représentée sur ce timbre, la Harelde kakawi (Clangula hyemalis), caractérisée par une longue queue effilée noire (mâle).
Cette série a été conçue par le célèbre artiste Erik Bruun qui a également créé la série EUROPA (oiseaux nationaux) émise en 2019.
Pierre completed his postage with a second stamp (€ 0.10) in order to reach the postal rate in force for a priority international shipment up to 20g (€ 1.70).
This stamp is part of a nice series (4 stamps), issued on May 9, 2017, dedicated to the north-bound mass migration of arctic birds, called Arktika in Finland.
These 4 stamps were issued in a souvenir sheet and two of these stamps (€ 0.10 and € 0.20) were also printed in booklets of 15 self-adhesive stamps.
The most spectacular moments take place in May when millions of water birds and hundreds of thousands of geese migrate via the Gulf of Finland to their nesting places on the arctic tundra.
As for example the sea duck species depicted on this stamp, the long-tailed duck (Clangula hyemalis), characterized by a long tapered black tail (male).
This series was designed by the famous artist Erik Bruun who also created the EUROPA series (national birds) issued in 2019.
