"75 years of country's Liberation" m/s on cover from Albania

Bloc-feuillet "75 ans de la libération" sur lettre d'Albanie

Le 10 février 2020, la poste albanaise a mis en circulation un joli bloc-feuillet (2 timbres) numéroté consacré au 75ème anniversaire de la libération du pays, à la fin de la 2ème guerre mondiale.
Le 29 novembre 1944, les forces partisanes ont libéré la ville de Shkodra et cette date marque officiellement de libération du pays. Ces forces partisanes faisaient partie du Mouvement de libération nationale, créé en 1942, composé de groupes de résistance à l'occupant italien et allemand.
Ce mouvement de résistance albanaise s'organisait principalement autour du Parti communiste d'Albanie sous la direction d'Enver Hoxha.
Ce bloc-feuillet aurait donc dû être émis en 2019 pour respecter ce 75ème anniversaire (le millésime "2019" figure d'ailleurs bien sur les 2 timbres).

On February 10, 2020, the Albanian Post put into circulation a nice numbered souvenir sheet (2 stamps) dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the liberation of the country, at the end of the 2nd World War.
On November 29, 1944, partisan forces liberated the city of Shkodra and this date officially marks the country's liberation. These partisan forces were part of the National Liberation Movement, created in 1942, made up of resistance groups to the Italian and German occupiers.
This Albanian resistance movement was organized mainly around the Communist Party of Albania under the leadership of Enver Hoxha.
This souvenir sheet should therefore have been issued in 2019 to respect this 75th anniversary (the "2019" year is indeed mentioned on the 2 stamps).

Conçus par Gentian Gjikopulli, ces 2 timbres représentent respectivement des coquelicots (la fleur nationale de l'Albanie) poussant à l'intérieur d'un casque de soldat allemand (250 lëke) et le monument "Mother Albania" ("Nëna Shqipëri"), érigé en 1971 dans le cimetière national des martyrs à Tirana (50 lëke).
Cette statue (12 mètres de haut), une femme tenant une branche de laurier et une étoile, représente l'Albanie, rendant hommage à tous ces partisans qui ont sacrifié leurs vies pour la libération du pays (près de 30000 tombes dans ce cimetière).
A noter que l'intitulé de cette émission en albanais ("75 vjetori i çlirimit të Shqipërisë") figure curieusement 2 fois sur chaque timbre, en noir et rouge...
L'autre timbre ci-dessus (10 lëke), également conçu par Gentian Gjikopulli, fait partie d'une série (3 timbres) émise le 17 août 2016, consacrée à des personnalités albanaises, le prêtre, écrivain et poète Ndre Mjeda (1866-1937) ici.
Ndre Mjeda participa au Congrès de Manastir (Bitola) en novembre 1908, qui avait pour objectif de normaliser et d'unifier l'alphabet albanais.

Designed by Gentian Gjikopulli, these 2 stamps respectively represent poppies (the national flower of Albania) growing inside a German soldier's helmet (250 lëke) and the monument "Mother Albania" ("Nëna Shqipëri"), erected in 1971 in the National martyrs cemetery in Tirana (50 lëke).

This statue (12 meters high), a woman holding a laurel branch and a star, represents Albania, paying tribute to all those partisans who sacrificed their lives for the liberation of the country (nearly 30,000 graves in this cemetery).

To note that the title of this issue in Albanian ("75 vjetori i çlirimit të Shqipërisë") appears curiously twice on each stamp, in black and red ...

The other stamp above (10 lëke), also designed by Gentian Gjikopulli, is part of a series (3 stamps) issued on August 17, 2016, dedicated to Albanian personalities, the priest, writer and poet Ndre Mjeda (1866-1937) here.

Ndre Mjeda participated in the Congress of Manastir (Bitola) in November 1908, which aimed to standardize and unify the Albanian alphabet.
