"2020 International Year of Plant Health" stamp on cover from Italy

Timbre "2020 - Année internationale de la santé des végétaux" sur lettre d'Italie

Les Nations Unies (en collaboration avec la FAO) ont proclamé 2020 "Année internationale de la santé des végétaux" (AISV) afin de sensibiliser le monde entier à la manière dont la protection phytosanitaire peut contribuer à éliminer la faim, à réduire la pauvreté, à protéger l'environnement et à stimuler le développement économique.
D'après la FAO, les végétaux représentent 80% des aliments que nous consommons et produisent 98% de l'oxygène que nous respirons. Pourtant, ils subissent la menace constante et croissante des ravageurs et des maladies (chaque année, jusqu'à 40% des cultures vivrières mondiales sont détruites).
Cette thématique a été illustrée en 2020 sur des timbres (Suisse, Luxembourg, Moldavie, Nations Unies, Vatican, Lettonie, Portugal, Turquie, Serbie, Italie, Tunisie, Kirghizstan, Corée du sud, Finlande, Japon, Slovénie, Émirats Arabes Unis...), des oblitérations spéciales (Moldavie), des cartes pré-timbrées (Pologne), des timbres de distributeurs (Espagne) ou encore des pièces de 2€ commémoratives (Belgique).
The United Nations (in collaboration with FAO) declared 2020 as the International Year of Plant Health (IYPH), an opportunity to raise global awareness on how protecting plant health can help end hunger, reduce poverty, protect the environment, and boost economic development.
According to the FAO, plants make up 80% of the food we eat and produce 98% of the oxygen we breathe. Yet, they are under constant and increasing threat from pests and diseases (up to 40% of the world's food crops are destroyed each year). 
This theme was illustrated in 2020 on stamps (Switzerland, Luxembourg, Moldova, United Nations, Vatican City, Latvia, Portugal, Turkey, Serbia, Italy, Tunisia, Kyrgyzstan, South Korea, Finland, Japan, Slovenia, UAE ...), special cancellations (Moldova), prepaid cards (Poland), ATM stamps (Spain) or € 2.00 commemorative coins (Belgium).   

Le 12 novembre 2020, la poste italienne a mis en circulation un timbre (tarif "B zone 1" - 1,15€ pour un envoi jusqu'à 20g vers les pays européens et du bassin méditerranéen - tirage : 1000000), conçu par Maria Carmela Perrini, illustrant cette thématique ("Anno internazionale della salute delle piante" en italien).
Ce timbre a été utilisé sur cette lettre envoyée le 21 novembre 2020 depuis Imola (bureau philatélique). Merci beaucoup Salvatore !
J'aime assez ce timbre incluant le logo officiel de cette année internationale de la santé des végétaux (cinq feuilles d'arbre formant un disque) dans la partie supérieure et une plante stylisée en train de croître dans un paysage rural.
On November 12, 2020, the Italian Post has put into circulation a stamp (rate "B zone 1" - € 1.15 for a shipment up to 20g to European countries and the Mediterranean basin - print run: 1,000,000), designed by Maria Carmela Perrini, illustrating this theme ("Anno internazionale della salute delle piante" in Italian).
This stamp was used on this cover sent on November 21, 2020 from Imola (philatelic office). Thank you very much Salvatore!
I quite like this rather simple stamp including the official logo of this International Year of Plant Health (five tree leaves forming a disc) at the top and a stylized plant growing in a rural landscape.
