"Anna Khunová - 75th birthday" postmark on cover from Czech Republic

TAD "Anna Khunová - 75ème anniversaire" sur lettre de République tchèque

Le 18 juillet 2021, la poste tchèque (bureau principal de Prague 1) a mis en circulation un TAD consacré au 75ème anniversaire (jour pour jour) de la naissance de l'artiste, lithographe et graphiste Anna Khunová, diplômée de l'Académie des Arts, de l'Architecture et du Design, membre de l'Association des graphistes tchèques Hollar depuis 1993.
Anna Khunová (née en 1946) a publié de nombreuses illustrations pour enfants (des planches du Petit Prince en particulier) mais a également créé plusieurs timbres pour la poste tchèque depuis 1995 (timbre de Noël). Elle est en particulier la créatrice de la jolie série courante débutée en 2002 (toujours en cours) consacrée à des fleurs (21 timbres émis) ou du timbre récent émis le 23 juin 2021 consacré au festival folklorique de Kyjov.
Ce timbre (tarif permanent "B" - envoi domestique standard jusqu'à 50g en mode économique - 19 CZK actuellement) figure en 2 exemplaires sur cette jolie lettre sur laquelle ce nouveau TAD a été appliqué. Merci beaucoup Slavek !
On July 18, 2021, the Czech Post (main post office of Prague 1) put into circulation a postmark dedicated to the 75th anniversary (to the day) of the birth of the artist, lithographer and graphic designer Anna Khunová, a graduate of the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design, member of the Association of Czech Graphic Designers Hollar since 1993.
Anna Khunová (born in 1946) has published numerous illustrations for children (plates of The Little Prince in particular) but has also created several stamps for the Czech Post since 1995 (Christmas stamp). She is in particular the designer of the pretty definitive series started in 2002 (still in progress) devoted to flowers (21 stamps issued) or the recent stamp issued on June 23, 2021 dedicated to the Kyjov Folk Festival.
This stamp (permanent rate "B" - standard domestic shipment up to 50g in economy service - 19 CZK currently) was used in two copies on this very nice cover on which this new postmark has been applied. Thank you very much Slavek!

 

Ce TAD, conçu par Pavel Sivko, reproduit une illustration typique d'Anna Khunová (cœur, poissons, oiseaux).
Le festival folklorique de Kyjov (sud-est du pays, région de Slovaquie morave), créé en 1921, est considéré comme le plus ancien festival régional de ce type dans le pays et l'un des évènements ethnographiques les plus importants.
Contrairement à d'autres fêtes folkloriques traditionnelles, ce festival de Kyjov n'est basé sur aucune tradition religieuse et l'un des principaux moments forts est la Chevauchée des Rois, une tradition inscrite sur la liste du patrimoine culturel immatériel de l'UNESCO depuis 2011.
Les Chevauchées des Rois, à l'origine une célébration du solstice d'été, ont une histoire qui s'étend sur au moins deux siècles. Le roi est un jeune garçon vêtu d'un costume de fille, portant une rose dans la bouche et montant à cheval, accompagné d'un grand cortège d'hommes costumés. Ils font le tour du village, mendiant de l'argent. Cette tradition symboliserait la fuite du roi hongrois Matthias Corvinus après avoir perdu une bataille contre le roi tchèque George de Poděbrady.

Kyjov Folk Festival (south-eastern part of the country, Moravian Slovakia region), established in 1921, is considered the oldest such regional festival in the country and one of the most important ethnographic events.

Unlike other traditional folk festivals, this Kyjov festival is not based on any religious tradition and one of the main highlights is the Ride of the Kings, a tradition inscribed on the list of intangible cultural heritage of UNESCO since 2011.

The Rides of the Kings, originally a celebration of the summer solstice, have a history that spans at least two centuries. The king is a young boy dressed in a girl's costume, carrying a rose in his mouth and riding on horseback, accompanied by a large procession of costumed men. They go around the village, begging for money. This tradition would symbolize the flight of Hungarian King Matthias Corvinus after losing a battle against Czech King George of Poděbrady.
