"Morocco united against Covid-19" stamp on FDC from Morocco

Timbre "Le Maroc uni contre le Covid-19" sur FDC du Maroc

Comme de nombreuses autres administrations postales à travers le monde, la poste marocaine "Barid Al-Maghrib" a mis en circulation, le 7 mai 2020, un timbre consacré à la lutte contre la pandémie de Covid-19, intitulé "Le Maroc uni contre le Covid-19".
Ce timbre (3,75 dirhams), conçu par N. Noury et imprimé aux Pays-Bas par Dasa Group BV, figure sur le FDC officiel numéroté ci-dessous (à noter le hashtag "RestezChezVous" en français et arabe en bas à gauche), envoyé le 14 juillet 2021 depuis la ville de Meknès. Merci beaucoup Pierre !
Ce timbre, incluant une carte du Maroc (y compris le Sahara occidental) sur fond de représentations de virus, rend hommage aux forces vives du pays qui ont se sont mobilisées pour aider la population à vivre avec cette pandémie : personnels de santé, employés de la poste, policiers, militaires ou personnels en charge de la désinfection des lieux sensibles.  
Like many other postal administrations around the world, the Moroccan Post "Barid Al-Maghrib" put into circulation, on May 7, 2020, a stamp dedicated to the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic, entitled "Morocco united against Covid-19".
This stamp (3.75 dirhams), designed by N. Noury and printed in the Netherlands by Dasa Group BV, appears on the official numbered FDC below (to note the hashtag "StayAtHome" in French and arabic at the bottom left), sent on July 14, 2021 from the city of Meknes. Thank you very much Pierre!
This stamp, including a map of Morocco (with Western Sahara) with representations of viruses in the background, pays tribute to the country's forces who have mobilized to help the population to live with this pandemic: health personnel, employees of the post, police, military or personnel in charge of disinfecting sensitive places.

 

A noter qu'en achetant ce timbres, les citoyens marocains permettent de verser 5 dirhams au Fonds spécial Covid-19, créé sur instruction du roi Mohammed VI pour prendre en charge les dépenses de mise à niveau du dispositif médical, soutenir l'économie nationale pour faire face aux chocs induits par cette pandémie, préserver les emplois et atténuer les répercussions sociales de la pandémie.
A ce jour, environ 14500 personnes sont décédées au Maroc à cause de ce virus et 940000 personnes ont été contaminées. Plus de 19 millions de personnes sont complètement vaccinées soit 52% de la population. A noter que le Maroc est le seul pays africain à produire des vaccins contre le Covid-19 (vaccin chinois Sinopharm) depuis juillet 2021.
Pierre a utilisé un 2ème timbre (0,40 dirhams) faisant partie d'une série courante émise en 1962, à l'effigie du roi Hassan II, monté sur le trône en février 1961, dont le règne a duré jusqu'en 1999 (le roi Mohammed VI lui a succédé).
To note that by purchasing this stamp, Moroccan citizens can pay 5 dirhams to the Covid-19 Special Fund, created on the instruction of King Mohammed VI to cover the expenses of upgrading the medical device, support the national economy to cope with the shocks induced by this pandemic, preserve jobs and mitigate the social repercussions of the pandemic.
To date, around 14,500 people have died in Morocco from this virus and 940,000 people have been infected. More than 19 million people are fully vaccinated, or 52% of the population. To note that Morocco is the only African country to produce vaccines against Covid-19 (Chinese Sinopharm vaccine) since July 2021.
Pierre used a 2nd stamp (0.40 dirhams) part of a definitive series issued in 1962, bearing the effigy of King Hassan II, ascended to the throne in February 1961, whose reign lasted until 1999 (King Mohammed VI succeeded him).
