"Olympic Games Tokyo 2020" stamp set on cover from Turkey

Série "Jeux Olympiques Tokyo 2020" sur lettre de Turquie

Le 23 juillet 2021, jour d'ouverture, la poste turque a mis en circulation une série de 2 timbres consacrée aux jeux olympiques d'été de Tokyo 2020 (32ème olympiade), organisés du 23 juillet au 8 août 2021 à cause de la pandémie mondiale de Covid-19.
Ces 2 timbres (3 TL et 6,50 TL - tirage : 100000 chacun), très réussis, ont été utilisés sur la lettre ci-dessous envoyée le 20 août 2021 depuis Istanbul. Merci beaucoup Tolga !
Sauf erreur, la poste turque émet des timbres à l'occasion des jeux olympiques d'été depuis 1956 et les jeux de Melbourne, la Turquie ayant participé pour la 1ère fois à des jeux olympiques en 1908 à Londres avec uniquement un athlète engagé en gymnastique.
Curieusement, aucun timbre n'avait été émis concernant la précédente édition des jeux olympiques, à Rio en 2016...
On July 23, 2021, the opening day, the Turkish Post put into circulation a series of 2 stamps dedicated to the Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympics (32nd Olympiad), organized from July 23 to August 8, 2021 due to the global Covid-19 pandemic.
These two very successful stamps (3.00 TL and 6.50 TL - print run: 100,000 each) were used on the cover below sent on August 20, 2021 from Istanbul. Thank you very much Tolga!
If I am not mistaken, the Turkish Post has issued stamps on the occasion of the Summer Olympic Games since 1956 and the Melbourne Games, Turkey having participated for the first time in the Olympic Games in 1908 in London with only one athlete engaged in gymnastics.
Curiously, no stamp had been issued about the previous edition of the Olympic Games, in Rio in 2016 ... 

 

A Tokyo, la délégation turque était composée de 108 athlètes (58 hommes, 50 femmes) engagés dans 18 sports dont 6 sont illustrées sur ces 2 timbres : karaté, tir, cyclisme, volley-ball féminin, athlétisme et lutte.
13 médailles (un record depuis 1908) ont été remportées par la délégation turque dans 6 sports différents (boxe, tir à l'arc, lutte, taekwondo, gymnastique, karaté), dont 2 en or grâce à Mete Gazoz (tir à l'arc individuel hommes) et Busenaz Sürmeneli (boxe féminine, poids welters), déjà championne du monde en 2019.
Des éléments rappelant les traditions du Japon, des fleurs de sakura (cerisier), un pont, les silhouettes d'un temple et d'un château, un soleil levant, figurent sur ces 2 timbres, ainsi que l'emblème du comité national olympique turc et le logo de ces jeux de Tokyo 2020.

In Tokyo, the Turkish delegation was made up of 108 athletes (58 men, 50 women) engaged in 18 sports, 6 of which are illustrated on these two stamps: karate, shooting, cycling, women's volleyball, athletics and wrestling.

13 medals (a record since 1908) were won by the Turkish delegation in 6 different sports (boxing, archery, wrestling, taekwondo, gymnastics, karate), including two gold thanks to Mete Gazoz (archery men's individual) and Busenaz Sürmeneli (women's boxing, welterweight), already world champion in 2019.

Elements reminding Japanese traditions, sakura (cherry tree) blossoms, a bridge, the silhouettes of a temple and a castle, a rising sun, are featured on these two stamps, as well as the emblem of the Turkish National Olympic Committee and the logo of these Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
