Le 20 avril 2023, la poste du Portugal CTT a mis en circulation une série intéressante (11 timbres) consacrée à différentes personnalités de l'histoire et de la culture portugaises ("Vultos da História e da Cultura").
Parmi ces 11 timbres (conception : Pendão & Prior / Fernando Pendão, tirage : 75000 chacun), un timbre est consacré à l'écrivain Urbano Tavares Rodrigues (1923-2013) à l'occasion du 100ème anniversaire de sa naissance et 10ème anniversaire de son décès.
Ce timbre (1,15€) a été utilisé sur cette lettre avec TAD Premier Jour de Lisbonne. Merci beaucoup Pedro ! 
Urbano Tavares Rodrigues a été un écrivain prolifique avec une vaste œuvre publiée, caractérisée par l'influence à la fois de la région de l'Alentejo, où il a passé sa jeunesse, et de la ville de Lisbonne, où il est né et a travaillé. 
On April 20, 2023, the Post of Portugal CTT put into circulation an interesting series (11 stamps) dedicated to different personalities of Portuguese history and culture ("Vultos da História e da Cultura").
Among these 11 stamps (design: Pendão & Prior / Fernando Pendão, print run: 75,000 each), one stamp is dedicated to the writer Urbano Tavares Rodrigues (1923-2013) on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of his birth and the 10th anniversary of his death.
This stamp (€1.15) was used on this cover with First Day cancellations from Lisbon. Thank you very much Pedro!
Urbano Tavares Rodrigues was a prolific writer with an extensive published work, characterized by the influence both of the Alentejo region, where he spent his youth, and of the city of Lisbon, where he was born and worked.

Il a été professeur de la Faculté des sciences humaines de l'Université de Lisbonne, membre titulaire de l'Académie des sciences de Lisbonne et membre correspondant de l'Académie brésilienne des lettres, ayant toujours occupé une certaine position politique qui l'a empêché d'enseigner dans les universités du Portugal jusqu'à après la révolution du 25 avril.
Dès le début de sa carrière, il a collaboré à des journaux et magazines au Portugal et à l'étranger, notamment "O Século", "Diário de Lisboa" et "Jornal de Letras e Artes".
Son œuvre a été traduite en plusieurs langues et comprend des dizaines de titres, dont des nouvelles, des romans, des chroniques et des essais. Il a reçu le "Grande Prémio Vida Literária" (Grand Prix de la vie littéraire) de l'Association des écrivains portugais et le "Prémio de Consagração de Carreira" (Prix pour l'ensemble de l'œuvre) de la Société portugaise des auteurs.
Parmi ses principales œuvres traduites en français : Bâtards du Soleil, La Vague de chaleur, Les Oiseaux de la nuit ou L'Imitation du bonheur. 
He was Professor of the Faculty of Humanities at the University of Lisbon, sitting member of the Academy of Sciences in Lisbon and corresponding member of the Brazilian Academy of Letters, having always held a certain political position that prevented him from teaching in universities in Portugal until after the revolution of 25 April.
From early in his career, he contributed to newspapers and magazines in Portugal and abroad, including "O Século", "Diário de Lisboa" and "Jornal de Letras e Artes".
His work has been translated into several languages, and comprises dozens of titles, including short stories, novels, chronicles and essays. He was awarded the Grande Prémio Vida Literária (Literary Life Grand Prize) by the Portuguese Writers Association and the Prémio de Consagração de Carreira (Lifetime Achievement Award) by the Portuguese Society of Authors.
Among his main works translated into French: Bastardo do sol, A vaga de calor, As aves da madrugada or Imitaçao da felicidade.

Timbre "Berta Singerman (1907-1998)", commun avec le Mexique, sur lettre d'Argentine

Lors d'une cérémonie organisée le 26 octobre 2022 au musée du bicentenaire à Buenos Aires, en présence du président de la nation Alberto Fernández, un timbre commun entre l'Argentine et le Mexique a été dévoilé, consacré à l'actrice, comédienne et récitante Berta Singerman (1907-1998), à l'occasion du 115ème anniversaire de sa naissance.
D'origine russe, Berta Singerman a émigré avec ses parents en Argentine puis a consacré sa vie à répandre la poésie à travers des récitals dramatisés. Elle a commencé sa vie artistique au théâtre, mais la richesse de sa voix, son sens du son, du rythme et de sa gestuelle l'ont rendue célèbre dans toute l'Amérique latine. 
L'une de ses compositions les plus marquantes est "La voix humaine" de Jean Cocteau, considérée parmi les meilleures au monde. Voyageuse infatigable, Singerman a voyagé à travers les Amériques et l'Europe et a tourné un film en espagnol à Hollywood, "Nada más que una mujer".
Parmi ses nombreuses distinctions, la Casa de Cultura Americana au Mexique lui a décerné le Premio América. En 1962, elle a publié "Poésie universelle", une sélection de son activité artistique. En 1981, elle a publié ses mémoires, "Mes deux vies".
During a ceremony organized on October 26, 2022 at the Bicentennial Museum in Buenos Aires, in the presence of the President of the Nation Alberto Fernández, a joint stamp between Argentina and Mexico was unveiled, dedicated to the actress, comedian and reciter Berta Singerman (1907-1998), on the occasion of the 115th anniversary of her birth.
Of Russian origin, Berta Singerman emigrated with her parents to Argentina and then devoted her life to spreading poetry through dramatized recitals. She began her artistic life in the theatre, but the richness of her voice, her sense of sound, rhythm and gestures made her famous throughout Latin America.
One of her most striking compositions is "The Human Voice" by Jean Cocteau, considered among the best in the world. A tireless traveler, Singerman traveled throughout the Americas and Europe and shot a Spanish language film in Hollywood, "Nada más que una mujer".
Among her many distinctions, the Casa de Cultura Americana in Mexico awarded her the Premio América. In 1962 she published "Universal Poetry", a selection of her artistic activity. In 1981 she published her memoir, "My Two Lives".

Berta Singerman déclara "J'ai rendu la poésie au peuple. J'ai retiré la poésie des livres, auxquels seules certaines minorités avaient accès".
Ce timbre commun a été conçu à travers le regard de Roberto Montenegro (1887-1968), pionnier de l'art contemporain mexicain, et sa peinture murale "Personnages de l'histoire : Poésie, Portrait de personnages ou rituel chrétien, Gabriela Mistral, Berta Singerman" exécutée en 1923 dans le Secrétariat de l'éducation publique à Mexico.
Berta Singerman est représentée à gauche, avec une autre femme debout qui, avec un regard calme, tient un livre ouvert dans ses mains. L'œuvre est complétée par un écrin de fleurs dans lequel se reposent deux oiseaux.
La version argentine de ce timbre commun (150 pesos, tirage : 10000) a été utilisée en 4 exemplaires sur cette lettre envoyée le 23 mai 2023 depuis Buenos Aires. Merci beaucoup Gabriel !
Gabriel a complété son affranchissement avec 3 timbres ordinaires d'unité postale ("UP") émis en 2019 et 2022, consacrés à certains des 37 parcs nationaux recensés dans le pays, le parc national El Leoncito (créé en 2022, province de San Juan, 40 pesos), le parc national Monte León (créé en 2004, province de Santa Cruz, 300 pesos) et le parc national Iberá (crée en 2018, province de Corrientes, 500 pesos) ici.
Berta Singerman declared "I returned the poetry to the people. I removed the poetry from the books, to which only certain minorities had access".
This joint stamp was designed through the eyes of Roberto Montenegro (1887-1968), pioneer of contemporary Mexican art, and his mural "Characters of History: Poetry, Portrait of Characters or Christian Ritual, Gabriela Mistral, Berta Singerman" executed in 1923 in the Secretariat of Public Education in Mexico City.
Berta Singerman is depicted on the left, with another standing woman who, with a calm gaze, holds an open book in her hands. The work is completed by a case of flowers in which two birds are resting.
The Argentinian version of this joint stamp (150 pesos, print run: 10,000) was used in 4 copies on this cover sent on May 23, 2023 from Buenos Aires. Thank you very much Gabriel!
Gabriel completed his postage with 3 ordinary Postal Unit ("UP") stamps issued in 2019 and 2022, dedicated to some of the 37 national parks listed in the country, El Leoncito National Park (created in 2022, province of San Juan, 40 pesos), Monte León National Park (created in 2004, province of Santa Cruz, 300 pesos) and Iberá National Park (created in 2018, province of Corrientes, 500 pesos) here. 

"European Political Community Summit" souvenir sheet on FDC from Moldova

Bloc-feuillet "Sommet de la Communauté politique européenne" sur FDC de Moldavie

Le 1er juin 2023, la République de Moldavie a organisé le plus grand évènement international de son histoire, le 2ème sommet de la Communauté politique européenne (le 1er a eu lieu en 2022 à Prague), réunissant 47 pays au château de Mimi à Bulboaca.
La Communauté politique européenne (CPE) est une instance informelle de coopération intergouvernementale, lancée à l'initiative d'Emmanuel Macron durant la présidence française du Conseil de l'Union européenne en 2022 dans le contexte de l'invasion de l'Ukraine par la Russie en 2022.
Pouvant être vue comme un forum, elle a pour objectif de favoriser le dialogue politique et la coopération afin de répondre aux questions d'intérêt commun, de manière à renforcer la sécurité, la stabilité et la prospérité du continent européen.
Les discussions lors de ce 2ème sommet ont porté sur trois thèmes principaux : les efforts conjoints pour la paix et la sécurité, la résilience énergétique et l'action climatique et pour un continent mieux connecté et plus stable.
On June 1, 2023, the Republic of Moldova organized the biggest international event in its history, the 2nd European Political Community Summit (the first one took place in 2022 in Prague), bringing together 47 countries at Mimi Castle in Bulboaca.
The European Political Community (EPC) is an informal body for intergovernmental cooperation, launched on the initiative of Emmanuel Macron during the French Presidency of the Council of the European Union in 2022 in the context of the invasion of Ukraine by Russia in 2022.
Can be seen as a forum, its objective is to promote political dialogue and cooperation in order to respond to issues of common interest, so as to strengthen the security, stability and prosperity of the European continent.
The discussions during this 2nd Summit focused on three main themes: joint efforts for peace and security, energy resilience and climate action and for a better connected and more stable continent.

Le 1er juin 2023, la poste moldave a mis en circulation un bloc-feuillet très spectaculaire consacré à ce 2ème sommet de la Communauté politique européenne ("Summit-ul Comunității Politice Europene"), présent sur ce FDC officiel (tirage : 400) avec TAD de Chișinău (MD-2000). Merci beaucoup Nicolae !
Ce bloc-feuillet (55 L, tirage : 25000) a été conçu (par Maxim Kilcik) à partir des éléments de l'Arbre de vie, devenu le symbole et la marque de la République de Moldavie, à l'étranger en particulier.
Pour rappel, cet arbre de vie, constitué de motifs géométriques et zoomorphes, se retrouve dans tous les domaines de l'art populaire en Moldavie. L'arbre de vie présent sur le bloc-feuillet et le TAD Premier Jour comporte différents éléments : fleurs traditionnelles, textile, verres de vin, fruits et légumes, transport et énergie, connectivité, rose...
L'arbre de vie représenté sur le timbre a été imprimé avec un revêtement holographique spécial, d'autres éléments étant imprimés avec un vernis transparent, ce qui fait de ce bloc-feuillet le plus original et élaboré depuis 30 ans. 
On June 1, 2023, the Post of Moldova put into circulation a very spectacular souvenir sheet dedicated to this 2nd European Political Community Summit ("Summit-ul Comunității Politice Europene"), present on this official FDC (print run: 400) with postmarks from Chișinău (MD-2000). This souvenir sheet (55 L, print run: 25,000) was designed (by Maxim Kilcik) from elements of the Tree of Life, which has become the symbol and brand of the Republic of Moldova, especially abroad.
As a reminder, this Tree of Life, made up of geometric and zoomorphic motifs, is found in all areas of folk art in Moldova. The Tree of Life present on the souvenir sheet and the first day cancellation includes different elements: traditional flowers, textiles, glasses of wine, fruits and vegetables, transport and energy, connectivity, rose...
The Tree of Life featured on the stamp has been printed with a special holographic foil, with other elements printed with a transparent varnish, making this souvenir sheet the most original and elaborate in 30 years. 

"National Monuments" stamp set on FDC from Singapore

Série "Monuments nationaux" sur FDC de Singapour

La préservation des sites et monuments (PSM) est l'autorité nationale qui conseille le National Heritage Board concernant la préservation des monuments et sites d'importance nationale à Singapour. A ce jour (depuis 1973), environ 80 sites et monuments de Singapour sont labellisés "Monuments nationaux".
Parmi ces monuments, 5 bâtiments emblématiques, constituant une partie importante de l'histoire et du patrimoine architectural de Singapour, ont été choisis pour figurer sur une jolie série de timbres mise en circulation le 30 juin 2023. Un grand merci Terence pour l'envoi de ce FDC officiel concernant cette série complète, conçue par Sonny Lee!
Le premier timbre (1st Local) est consacré à l'ancien Parlement (style néo-palladien et victorien) qui se dresse depuis 1827 le long de la rivière Singapour. Cet édifice, le plus ancien bâtiment gouvernemental et peut-être le plus ancien bâtiment de Singapour, a abrité le Parlement de Singapour de 1965 à 1999, date à laquelle il a déménagé dans un nouveau bâtiment adjacent. 
Depuis 2004, il abrite un centre d'arts et du patrimoine "The Arts House at The Old Parliament".
The Preservation of Sites and Monuments (PSM) is the national authority that advises the National Heritage Board regarding the preservation of monuments and sites of national significance in Singapore. To date (since 1973), about 80 sites and monuments in Singapore are labeled "National Monuments".
Among these monuments, five emblematic buildings, constituting an important part of the history and architectural heritage of Singapore, have been chosen to appear on a nice series of stamps put into circulation on June 30, 2023. The first stamp (1st Local) is dedicated to the Former Parliament House (neo-Palladian and Victorian style) which has stood since 1827 along the Singapore River. This building, the oldest government building and possibly the oldest surviving building in Singapore, housed the Parliament of Singapore from 1965 until 1999, when it moved to a new adjacent building.
Since 2004, it has housed an arts and heritage center "The Arts House at The Old Parliament".

Le timbre suivant (2nd Local) montre la façade néo-classique de l'ancienne Cour suprême (entre 1939 et 2005), avec ses colonnes corinthiennes surplombant le Padang. Ce bâtiment a été la dernière structure dans le style de l'architecture classique à être construite dans l'ancienne colonie britannique. Avec le City Hall, il a été converti en "National Gallery Singapore" depuis 2015. 
Le musée national de Singapour, qui documente l'histoire de la nation depuis l'époque coloniale britannique jusqu'à l'indépendance, est représenté sur le 3ème timbre (80c). Construit en 1849, c'est le plus ancien musée de Singapour et l'un des 4 musées nationaux.
Le timbre suivant (90c) est consacré à l'ancien poste de police de Hill Street, inauguré en 1934, autrefois le plus grand bâtiment de police de toute la Malaisie et un point de repère incontournable dans le paysage urbain de Singapour. Ce bâtiment a un total de 927 fenêtres, peintes aux couleurs de l'arc-en-ciel.
Le dernier timbre (1,50$) montre la caserne de pompiers centrale (1908, style édouardien), témoin vivant de l'histoire de la lutte contre les incendies à Singapour. Le bâtiment abrite actuellement la "Civil Defence Heritage Gallery", le musée officiel de la Force de défense civile de Singapour.
The following stamp (2nd Local) shows the neo-classical facade of the Former Supreme Court (between 1939 and 2005), with its Corinthian columns overlooking the Padang. This building was the last structure in the style of classical architecture to be built in the former British colony. Along with the City Hall, it has been converted into "National Gallery Singapore" since 2015.
The National Museum of Singapore, which documents the nation's history from British colonial times to independence, is depicted on the 3rd stamp (80c). Built in 1849, it is the oldest museum in Singapore and one of the four national museums.
The next stamp (90c) is dedicated to the Former Hill Street Police Station, inaugurated in 1934, once the tallest police building in all of Malaysia and a must-see landmark in Singapore's cityscape. This building has a total of 927 windows, painted in rainbow colors.
The final stamp ($1.50) shows the Central Fire Station (1908, Edwardian style), a living witness to Singapore's firefighting history. The building currently houses the "Civil Defense Heritage Gallery", the official museum of the Singapore Civil Defense Force. 

EUROPA 2023 (Peace - the highest value of humanity) m/s on FDC from Guernsey

Bloc-feuillet EUROPA 2023 (La Paix - la valeur humaine la plus importante) sur FDC de Guernesey

Sur proposition de la poste ukrainienne, le thème choisi par l'organisation PostEurop pour les timbres EUROPA 2023 est "La Paix - la valeur humaine la plus importante", en écho à l'agression du pays par la Russie débutée en février 2022.
Ce choix sonne comme un rappel de la volonté qui avait présidé en 1950 à la création de l'Union européenne après la 2ème Guerre mondiale, résumée par Robert Schuman en une formule désormais célèbre : faire l'Europe pour faire la Paix.
Pour illustrer ce thème 2023, PostEurop a organisé un concours au sein des pays membres et c'est le projet "Nœud de la paix" de la poste luxembourgeoise (auteurs : Linda Bos et Runa Egilsdottir - A Designers' Collective) qui a été choisi, parmi 29 propositions.
Ce projet représente des cœurs entrelacés, et des mains aux doigts entremêlés, inspirés des nœuds d'amour celtiques. Les différentes couleurs renvoient à tous les pays du monde, unis par ce nouveau symbole de paix, une sorte de société fondée sur la coopération, dans laquelle les individus sont solidaires.
On the proposal of the Ukrainian Post, the theme chosen by the PostEurop organization for the EUROPA 2023 stamps is "Peace - the highest value of humanity", echoing the aggression of the country by Russia which started on February 2022.
This choice sounds like a reminder of the will that presided over the creation of the European Union in 1950 after the Second World War, summed up by Robert Schuman in a now famous formula: make Europe to make Peace.
To illustrate this 2023 theme, PostEurop organized a competition within the member countries and the Luxembourg Post's "Peace Knot" project (authors: Linda Bos and Runa Egilsdottir - A Designers' Collective) was chosen from among 29 proposals.
This project represents intertwined hearts, and hands with intertwined fingers, inspired by Celtic love knots. The different colors refer to all the countries of the world, united by this new symbol of peace, a kind of society based on cooperation, in which individuals stand together.

La poste de Guernesey a émis, le 24 mai 2023, une série de 6 timbres illustrant cette thématique de la paix, dont 2 incluant le logo EUROPA (l'un des deux - 1,21£ - reproduisant ce "Nœud de la paix" commun).
Ces 6 timbres, conçus par Chris Griffiths, directeur créatif de l'agence locale "Two Degrees North", ont été imprimés en feuillets de 10 timbres. Les 2 timbres avec logo EUROPA ont également été mis en circulation sous forme d'un bloc-feuillet, présent sur le FDC officiel ci-dessus.
Le concept global de cette série est celui de l'humanité et de la paix sur terre, illustré dans un style naïf et enfantin.
L'idée des astronautes regardant en arrière sur une terre heureuse (2ème timbre EUROPA - 0,87£) permet beaucoup de symbolisme. La terre montre un amour extérieur envers l'humanité et les astronautes eux-mêmes représentent un parti pris non sexiste ou politique / racial.
Les 2 astronautes sont en contact pour représenter la paix et l'harmonie entre toute l'humanité.
The Guernsey Post issued, on May 24, 2023, a series of 6 stamps illustrating this theme of peace, two of which include the EUROPA logo (one of the two - £1.21 - reproducing this common "Peace Knot").
These 6 stamps, designed by Chris Griffiths, creative director of the local agency "Two Degrees North", have been printed in sheetlets of 10 stamps. The two stamps with the EUROPA logo were also put into circulation in the form of a miniature sheet, present on the official FDC above.
The overall concept of this series is that of humanity and peace on earth, illustrated in a naive and child-like style.
The idea of astronauts looking back on a happy earth (2nd EUROPA stamp - £0.87) allows for a lot of symbolism. The earth shows outward love towards humanity and the astronauts themselves represent a non-gender or political/racial bias.
The two astronauts are holding one another to represent peace and harmony among all of humanity.

Euromed Postal 2023 (Mediterranean Festivals) stamp set on FDC from Malta

Série Euromed Postal 2023 (Festivals de la Méditerranée) sur FDC de Malte

Pour rappel, le 9 juillet 2007 a eu lieu la première convention internationale de la poste méditerranéenne signée à Marseille. Depuis cette date, l'Union Postale pour la Méditerranée (PUMed), une union restreinte de l'UPU, a été créée le 11 mars 2011 et comprend actuellement les opérateurs postaux de 23 pays du bassin méditerranéen (incluant aussi le Portugal et la Mauritanie).
Depuis 2014, certains de ces pays émettent chaque année des timbres "Euromed Postal" illustrant un thème commun, les festivals de la Méditerranée en 2023.
Sauf erreur, 12 pays ont émis à ce jour des timbres "Euromed Postal" en 2023, dont Malte avec une série de 2 blocs-feuillets mis en circulation le 10 juillet 2023, consacrés au Festival international des feux d'artifice dont la 21ème édition a eu lieu du 24 au 30 avril 2023.
J'ai eu la chance de recevoir le joli FDC officiel ci-dessous (avec TAD du musée postal à La Valette) concernant ces 2 blocs-feuillets numérotés. Merci beaucoup Silvan !
As a reminder, on July 9, 2007, the first international Mediterranean postal convention was signed in Marseille. Since that date, the Postal Union for the Mediterranean (PUMed), a restricted union of the UPU, was created on March 11, 2011 and currently includes postal operators from 23 countries in the Mediterranean basin (also including Portugal and Mauritania).
Since 2014, some of these countries have issued "Euromed Postal" stamps every year illustrating a common theme, the Mediterranean Festivals in 2023.
Unless I am mistaken, 12 countries have so far issued "Euromed Postal" stamps in 2023, including Malta with a series of two souvenir sheets put into circulation on July 10, 2023, dedicated to the International Fireworks Festival, the 21st edition having taken place from April 24 to 30, 2023.
I was lucky enough to receive the nice official FDC below (with postmark from the Malta Postal Museum in Valletta) concerning these two numbered souvenir sheets. Thank you very much Silvan!

Le logo Euromed Postal (un faucon stylisé) est présent en haut à droite sur ces 2 timbres (tirage : 12000 chacun) ainsi que sur le TAD Premier Jour. 
Les feux d'artifice à Malte ont une longue tradition vieille de plusieurs siècles. En effet, l'art de la pyrotechnie à Malte remonte à l'époque de l'Ordre des Chevaliers de Saint-Jean.
A Malte, la tradition est de tirer des feux d'artifice tout au long de l'année, en particulier à l'occasion des fêtes religieuses des saints patrons. 35 entreprises fabriquent aujourd'hui des feux d'artifice dans l'archipel.
Le bloc-feuillet à gauche (1,70€), conçu à partir d'une photographie de Sebio Aquilina, montre un spectacle de lumière et de couleur se reflétant sur la mer et soulignant la beauté naturelle du Grand Port de La Valette.
L'autre bloc-feuillet (2,50€), conçu à partir d'une photographie de Michele Agius, montre un feu d'artifice au dessus du Siege Bell Memorial perché au-dessus du Grand Port. Ce monument, inauguré en 1992 en présence de la reine Elizabeth II, commémorait le 50ème anniversaire de l'attribution de la Croix de George à Malte en reconnaissance de la bravoure et du sacrifice des habitants lors des attaques contre les îles en 1940-42.
The Euromed Postal logo (a stylized falcon) is present at the top right on these two stamps (print run: 12,000 each) as well as on the First Day cancellation.
Fireworks in Malta have a centuries-old tradition. Indeed, the art of pyrotechnics in Malta dates back to the time of the Order of the Knights of St. John.
In Malta, the tradition is to shoot fireworks throughout the year, especially on the occasion of the religious festivals of the patron saints. 35 companies today manufacture fireworks in the archipelago.
The souvenir sheet on the left (€1.70), designed from a photograph by Sebio Aquilina, shows a spectacle of light and color reflecting off the sea and highlighting the natural beauty of Grand Harbor in Valletta.
The other souvenir sheet (€2.50), designed from a photograph by Michele Agius, shows fireworks above the Siege Bell Memorial perched above Grand Harbour. This monument, inaugurated in 1992 in the presence of Queen Elizabeth II, commemorated the 50th anniversary of the award of the George Cross to Malta in recognition of the bravery and sacrifice of the inhabitants during the attacks on the islands in 1940-42.

Sur proposition de la poste ukrainienne, le thème choisi par l'organisation PostEurop pour les timbres EUROPA 2023 est "La Paix - la valeur humaine la plus importante" ("Friður - hægsta virði mannaættarinnar" en féroïen), en écho à l'agression du pays par la Russie débutée en février 2022.
Ce choix sonne comme un rappel de la volonté qui avait présidé en 1950 à la création de l'Union européenne après la 2ème Guerre mondiale, résumée par Robert Schuman en une formule désormais célèbre : faire l'Europe pour faire la Paix.
Pour illustrer ce thème 2023, PostEurop a organisé un concours au sein des pays membres et c'est le projet "Nœud de la paix" de la poste luxembourgeoise (auteurs : Linda Bos et Runa Egilsdottir - A Designers' Collective) qui a été choisi, parmi 29 propositions.
Ce projet représente des cœurs entrelacés, et des mains aux doigts entremêlés, inspirés des nœuds d'amour celtiques. Les différentes couleurs renvoient à tous les pays du monde, unis par ce nouveau symbole de paix, une sorte de société fondée sur la coopération, dans laquelle les individus sont solidaires.
On the proposal of the Ukrainian Post, the theme chosen by the PostEurop organization for the EUROPA 2023 stamps is "Peace - the highest value of humanity" ("Friður - hægsta virði mannaættarinnar" in Faroese), echoing the aggression of the country by Russia which started on February 2022.
This choice sounds like a reminder of the will that presided over the creation of the European Union in 1950 after the Second World War, summed up by Robert Schuman in a now famous formula: make Europe to make Peace.
To illustrate this 2023 theme, PostEurop organized a competition within the member countries and the Luxembourg Post's "Peace Knot" project (authors: Linda Bos and Runa Egilsdottir - A Designers' Collective) was chosen from among 29 proposals.
This project represents intertwined hearts, and hands with intertwined fingers, inspired by Celtic love knots. The different colors refer to all the countries of the world, united by this new symbol of peace, a kind of society based on cooperation, in which individuals stand together.

Le 9 mai 2023 (Journée de l'Europe), la poste des îles Féroé "Posta" a mis en circulation un timbre EUROPA unique, reproduisant ce "Nœud de la paix" commun.
Ce timbre (31 DKK - tarif pour un envoi international entre 0 et 100g), imprimé en feuille de 20 timbres gommés et en carnet de 6 timbres autocollants, figure sur le FDC officiel ci-dessus, avec TAD de Tórshavn, la capitale de cet archipel situé dans l'océan Atlantique Nord, l'un des trois pays constitutifs du royaume de Danemark.
A noter que la poste féroïenne a participé à ce concours EUROPA organisé par PostEurop, avec un dessin représentant un musicien marchant dans un champ tout en jouant au basson un hymne pour la paix, l'harmonie et la beauté de la vie.
Le même jour, un 2ème timbre "Hymne à la paix" a été émis, sans le logo EUROPA, inspiré de ce dessin, le musicien ayant été remplacé par un soldat...
On May 9, 2023 (the Europe Day), the Faroe Islands Post "Posta" put a unique EUROPA stamp into circulation, reproducing this common "Peace Knot".
This stamp (31 DKK - rate for an international shipment between 0 and 100g), printed in a sheet of 20 gummed stamps and in a booklet of 6 self-adhesive stamps, is present on the official FDC above, with postmark from Tórshavn, the capital of this archipelago located in the North Atlantic Ocean, one of the three constituent countries of the Kingdom of Denmark.
It should be noted that the Faroese Post participated in this EUROPA competition organized by PostEurop, with a drawing representing a musician walking in a field while playing with a bassoon a hymn for peace, harmony and the beauty of life.
The same day, a 2nd stamp "Hymn for Peace" was issued, without the EUROPA logo, inspired by this drawing, the musician having been replaced by a soldier...

Philippe (Filip en néerlandais), né en 1960 au château du Belvédère à Bruxelles, est, depuis le 21 juillet 2013, le 7ème roi des Belges.
Fils aîné du roi Albert II et de la reine Paola, il devient en effet roi en 2013 en prêtant serment devant les chambres réunies, en néerlandais, français et allemand, après l'abdication de son père.
Philippe a épousé en 1999, Mathilde d'Udekem d'Acoz, et le couple vit au château de Laeken avec ses 4 enfants : la princesse héritière Élisabeth (née en 2001) qui deviendra probablement la première reine des Belges, le prince Gabriel, le prince Emmanuel et la princesse Éléonore.

A l'occasion de la Journée mondiale des animaux errants, célébrée chaque année le 4 avril depuis 2010, la poste grecque a mis en circulation, le 4 avril 2023, une jolie série illustrant un chat et un chien.
Il y aurait à travers le monde plus de 600 millions d'animaux errants et cette journée vise à sensibiliser en particulier le public pour venir en aide aux associations et refuges qui accueillent ces animaux, lancent des campagnes de stérilisation ou des appels à l'adoption.
Un grand nombre de ces animaux ont été abandonnés et se retrouvent livrés à eux-même et luttent pour leur survie dans les rues des grandes villes.
Cette série a été utilisée sur cette lettre envoyée le 22 juin 2023 depuis Athènes (bureau de poste situé sur la place Sýntagma). Merci beaucoup Alqi ! 
On the occasion of World Stray Animal Day, celebrated every year on April 4 since 2010, the Greek Post has put into circulation, on April 4, 2023, a nice series illustrating a cat and a dog.
Worldwide, there are more than 600 million stray animals and this day aims to raise public awareness in particular to help associations and shelters that welcome these animals, launch sterilization campaigns or calls for adoption.
Many of these animals have been abandoned and find themselves on their own and struggling to survive on the streets of big cities.
This series was used on this cover sent on June 22, 2023 from Athens (post office located in Sýntagma Square). Thank you very much Alqi!

Conçus par Myrsini Varopoulou, ces 2 timbres (tirage : 500000 chacun) représentent un chien (tarif recommandé domestique "B" prioritaire 20g) et un chat (tarif domestique "B" 20g) avec des scènes urbaines dans le fond.
Certaines parties ont été imprimées avec une encre dorée, en particulier les empreintes du chien et du chat.
Cette année en Grèce, à l'occasion de cette Journée mondiale des animaux errants, les visiteurs accompagnés de leur animal de compagnie à 4 pattes pouvaient visiter gratuitement le musée national d'art contemporain d'Athènes.
Le musée s'est associé au refuge, ouvert et financé par le Département municipal de la faune urbaine d'Athènes, pour encourager l'adoption de chiens errants dans le besoin et faire la lumière sur les conditions quotidiennes dangereuses auxquelles les animaux errants sont confrontés.
Des professionnels et des bénévoles gèrent le refuge pour aider les animaux perdus à retrouver leurs familles et les animaux errants à trouver de nouvelles maisons, et s'assurer que chaque animal qui franchit leurs portes est traité avec amour et gentillesse. Le refuge est responsable des soins médicaux, de la nourriture et de la collecte de tous les chiens errants dans la municipalité d'Athènes.
Designed by Myrsini Varopoulou, these two stamps (print run: 500,000 each) depict a dog (priority "B" domestic registered rate 20g) and a cat (domestic "B" rate 20g) with urban scenes in the background.
Some parts have been printed with gold ink, especially the dog and cat footprints.
This year in Greece, on the occasion of World Stray Animal Day, visitors accompanied by their 4-legged pet could visit the National Museum of Contemporary Art in Athens for free.
The museum has partnered with the shelter, opened and funded by the Athens Municipal Department of Urban Fauna, to encourage the adoption of stray dogs in need and shed light on the dangerous daily conditions stray animals face.
Professionals and volunteers run the shelter to help lost pets find their families and stray animals find new homes, and ensure every animal that passes through their doors is treated with love and kindness. The shelter is responsible for medical care, food, and collecting all stray dogs within the municipality of Athens.

700 years of the city of Celje and oldest pharmacy stamps on cover from Slovenia

700 ans de la ville de Celje et plus ancienne pharmacie sur lettre de Slovénie

Merci Petra pour cette intéressante lettre envoyée le 3 juillet 2023 depuis la ville de Kranj, incluant 2 timbres émis le 31 mars 2023, consacrés respectivement au 700ème anniversaire de la ville de Celje et à la plus ancienne pharmacie de Slovénie.
Le timbre à gauche (1,50€, tirage : 30000), conçu par Borut Bončina, fait partie d'une nouvelle série consacrée au tourisme et en particulier à des exemples les plus extraordinaires du paysage naturel et culturel de la Slovénie.
Ce timbre illustre la plus ancienne pharmacie de Slovénie, qui se trouve également être la 3ème plus ancienne en Europe (seuls Paris et Dubrovnik en possédent une plus ancienne). Cette pharmacie est située au rez-de-chaussée de la tour gauche de l'ancien château d'Olimje (centre-est du pays) qui est devenu en 1663 un monastère des Pères Paulins. Outre leur travail pastoral et leurs activités de bâtisseurs, les moines s'occupent de pharmacologie et, en particulier, d'herboristerie. 
Le mobilier et l'équipement de la pharmacie n'ont pas survécu, à l'exception des fresques peintes en 1780 par Anton Lerchinger de Rogatec (représentées sur le timbre). Il s'agit de scènes bibliques et de représentations de médecins célèbres, d'Esculape à Paracelse. 
Thank you Petra for this interesting cover sent on July 3, 2023 from the city of Kranj, including two stamps issued on March 31, 2023, dedicated respectively to the 700th anniversary of the city of Celje and to the oldest pharmacy in Slovenia.
The stamp on the left (€1.50, print run: 30,000), designed by Borut Bončina, is part of a new series dedicated to tourism and in particular to the most extraordinary examples of Slovenia's natural and cultural landscape.
This stamp illustrates the oldest pharmacy in Slovenia, which also happens to be the 3rd oldest in Europe (only Paris and Dubrovnik have an older one). This pharmacy is located on the ground floor of the left tower of the old castle of Olimje (center-east of the country) which in 1663 became a monastery of the Pauline Fathers. In addition to their pastoral work and their activities as builders, the monks deal with pharmacology and, in particular, with herbalism.
The furniture and equipment of the pharmacy have not survived, except for the frescoes painted in 1780 by Anton Lerchinger of Rogatec (depicted on the stamp). These are biblical scenes and representations of famous physicians, from Aesculapius to Paracelsus.

Les Pères Paulins ont été expulsés d'Olimje par l'empereur Joseph II en 1782. Après la Seconde Guerre mondiale, le monastère est nationalisé et les locaux de l'ancienne pharmacie sont utilisés pour stocker les récoltes. Depuis 1990, le bâtiment abrite une communauté de frères mineurs, qui ont renoué avec la tradition herboriste.
L'autre timbre (2,30€, tirage : 30000), conçu par Edi Berk, est consacré à Celje - Cité des Princes - à l'occasion des 700 ans de la publication mentionnant la ville pour la première fois.
Aux 12ème et 13ème siècles, Celje appartenait à la noble famille Heunburg. Après leur disparition en 1322, un âpre conflit éclata entre les principaux prétendants à leur riche héritage. Celje a été divisé, la moitié allant à Frédéric, le seigneur de Sanneck, et l'autre moitié allant à Elizabeth, la veuve d'Herman, le dernier des Heunburg, et au comte Ulrich V de Pfannberg.
Le 30 janvier 1323, Ulrich et Elizabeth cèdent leur moitié des domaines de Celje à Conrad d'Auffenstein, gouverneur et maréchal de Carinthie, pour une période de trois ans en échange de 500 marks d'argent. Cet arrangement couvrait "le château de Celje et le bourg en dessous, et la tour qui se dresse dans la ville, les nobles qui y vivent et les hommes armés qui leur appartiennent...".
Ce document, reproduit en partie sur ce timbre (avec un sceau arborant les armoiries de la ville incluant 3 étoiles), comporte ainsi les premières mentions écrites du vieux château de Celje, de Celje en tant que bourg et de la tour aujourd'hui connue sous le nom de palais princier.
The Pauline Fathers were expelled from Olimje by Emperor Joseph II in 1782. After World War II, the monastery was nationalized and the premises of the former pharmacy were used to store crops. Since 1990, the building has housed a community of Friars Minor, who have reconnected with the herbalist tradition.
The other stamp (€2.30, print run: 30,000), designed by Edi Berk, is dedicated to Celje - City of Princes - on the occasion of the 700th anniversary of the publication mentioning the city for the first time.
In the 12th and 13th centuries, Celje belonged to the noble Heunburg family. After they died out in 1322, a bitter conflict broke out among the main pretenders to their rich legacy. Celje was divided, with half going to Frederick, the lord of Sanneck, and the other half going to Elizabeth, the widow of Herman, the last of the Heunburgs, and to Count Ulrich V of Pfannberg.
On 30 January 1323, Ulrich and Elizabeth ceded their half of the Celje estates to Conrad of Auffenstein, governor and marshal of Carinthia, for a period of three years in exchange for 500 silver marks. This arrangement covered "the castle of Celje and the market town below it, and the tower which stands in the town, the nobles who live there and the armed men who belong to them...".
This document, reproduced in part on this stamp (with a seal bearing the coat of arms of the city including 3 stars), thus includes the first written mentions of the old castle of Celje, of Celje as a town and of the tower today known as the Princely Palace.

Orné d'une photo en noir et blanc réalisée par Alan Shawcross, ce timbre courant marque le début d'une nouvelle ère dans l'histoire philatélique royale du Canada.

As a reminder, on September 8, 2022, King Charles III acceded to the throne after the death of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II. He is king of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland as well as fourteen other sovereign states, called Commonwealth realms, including Canada. 

Le 23 mai 2023, la poste canadienne a aussi commémoré le 150ème anniversaire de la Gendarmerie royale du Canada (GRC) en émettant un autre timbre (tarif permanent domestique), imprimé en carnet de 6 timbres autocollants (tirage : 100000).
Ce timbre, conçu par Réjean Myette, figure en 2 exemplaires sur cette lettre.
Établie sous le nom de Police à cheval du Nord-Ouest en vertu d'une loi du Parlement le 23 mai 1873, la Gendarmerie royale du Canada compte initialement 300 membres. Au gré de la croissance du pays, elle élargit ses compétences et devient l'organisation policière reconnue à l'échelle internationale qu'elle est aujourd’hui.
Comptant plus de 19000 membres au sein du corps policier et plus de 11000 membres civils et fonctionnaires, la GRC est présente du niveau communautaire aux niveaux provincial, territorial et fédéral. Elle œuvre également au-delà des frontières du Canada par le biais d'opérations policières et de missions de paix internationales.
Ce timbre présente un collage d'images représentant l'organisation moderne de la GRC, et mettant en avant la diversité de ses agents et ses multiples fonctions.

This stamp, designed by Réjean Myette, appears in two copies on this envelope.
Established as the North-West Mounted Police by an Act of Parliament on May 23, 1873, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police initially had 300 members. As the country grew, it broadened its jurisdictions and became the internationally recognized police organization it is today.
With more than 19,000 members within the police force and more than 11,000 civilian members and public servants, the RCMP is present from the community level to the provincial, territorial and federal levels. It also works beyond Canada's borders through police operations and international peace missions.
This stamp features features a collage of imagery representing the modern RCMP organization, with emphasis on its multiple functions.

"30 years of diplomatic relations" joint stamp with Qatar, on cover from Georgia

Les relations diplomatiques officielles entre l'État du Qatar et la Géorgie ont été établies le 16 mars 1993. La Géorgie avait alors trois missions diplomatiques dans le monde arabe. Les 2 pays disposent d'ambassades respectives à Doha et Tbilissi.
Le gouvernement géorgien a accordé une grande priorité au développement de relations bilatérales amicales et fructueuses avec l'État du Qatar et le reste des États du Conseil de coopération du Golfe. La Géorgie cherche en particulier à attirer les investissements qatariens dans le pays, ainsi qu'à ouvrir le marché qatari à ses produits.
Le 18 juin 2023, les administrations postales de Géorgie et du Qatar ont mis en circulation un timbre commun afin de célébrer les 30 ans de ces relations diplomatiques.

Official diplomatic relations between the State of Qatar and Georgia were established on March 16, 1993. Georgia then had three diplomatic missions in the Arab world. The two countries have respective embassies in Doha and Tbilisi.
The Georgian government has given high priority to developing friendly and fruitful bilateral relations with the State of Qatar and the rest of the Gulf Cooperation Council states. Georgia is particularly seeking to attract Qatari investment to the country, as well as to open the Qatari market to its products.
On June 18, 2023, the postal administrations of Georgia and Qatar released a joint stamp to celebrate these 30 years of diplomatic relations.

Son portrait sur fond de drapeau de la République démocratique de Géorgie utilisé entre 1918 et 1921, est représenté sur ce timbre. Noe Zhordania fut président des 2ème et 3ème gouvernements de cette République, avant d'être forcé à l'exil, en France, après l'invasion du pays par la Russie en 1921.

The 3rd stamp (1 GEL), in two copies, is part of a series (4 stamps) issued on June 14, 2008, devoted to various Georgian personalities, Noe Zhordania (1868-1953) here. 
His portrait with the flag of the Democratic Republic of Georgia in the background, used between 1918 and 1921, is featured on this stamp. Noe Zhordania was president of the 2nd and 3rd governments of this Republic, before being forced into exile, in France, after the invasion of the country by Russia in 1921.

Sur proposition de la poste ukrainienne, le thème choisi par l'organisation PostEurop pour les timbres EUROPA 2023 est "La Paix - la valeur humaine la plus importante", en écho à l'agression du pays par la Russie débutée en février 2022.
Ce choix sonne comme un rappel de la volonté qui avait présidé en 1950 à la création de l'Union européenne après la 2ème Guerre mondiale, résumée par Robert Schuman en une formule désormais célèbre : faire l'Europe pour faire la Paix.
Pour illustrer ce thème 2023, PostEurop a organisé un concours au sein des pays membres et c'est le projet "Nœud de la paix" de la poste luxembourgeoise (auteurs : Linda Bos et Runa Egilsdottir - A Designers' Collective) qui a été choisi, parmi 29 propositions.
Ce projet représente des cœurs entrelacés, et des mains aux doigts entremêlés, inspirés des nœuds d'amour celtiques. Les différentes couleurs renvoient à tous les pays du monde, unis par ce nouveau symbole de paix, une sorte de société fondée sur la coopération, dans laquelle les individus sont solidaires.

To illustrate this 2023 theme, PostEurop organized a competition within the member countries and the Luxembourg Post's "Peace Knot" project (authors: Linda Bos and Runa Egilsdottir - A Designers' Collective) was chosen from among 29 proposals.
This project represents intertwined hearts, and hands with intertwined fingers, inspired by Celtic love knots. The different colors refer to all the countries of the world, united by this new symbol of peace, a kind of society based on cooperation, in which individuals stand together.

Le 9 mai 2023 (Journée de l'Europe), la poste irlandaise anpost a mis en circulation sa série EUROPA, avec un timbre (tarif international "W" pour un envoi jusqu'à 100g, 2,20€ actuellement, tirage : 56000) reproduisant ce "Nœud de la paix" commun et un autre représentant le projet de la poste irlandaise (conception : Ailbhe Phelan) pour ce concours PostEurop. 
Ces 2 timbres autocollants, imprimés chacun en feuillet de 8 timbres, ont été utilisés sur cette lettre envoyée le 5 juillet 2023 depuis Dublin. Merci beaucoup Gearóid !
L'autre timbre (tarif domestique "N" pour un envoi jusqu'à 100g, 1,35€ actuellement, tirage : 72000) s'inspire du concept selon lequel des nations individuelles, représentées par des oiseaux multicolores, peuvent se rassembler pour être une force motrice pour la paix. Chacun des oiseaux multicolores est différent, mais chacun prend son envol depuis sa patrie d'en bas, s'unissant et se déplaçant solidairement.
A noter la mention "Paix" en anglais et gaélique ("síocháin") sur ces 2 timbres et cette oblitération mécanique avec un slogan évoquant les 100 ans de la création des "savings certificates" ("bons de caisse"). Plus de 25 milliards d'euros sont actuellement gérés par "Ireland State Savings".
On May 9, 2023 (the Europe Day), the Irish Post anpost released its EUROPA series, with a stamp (international rate "W" for postage up to 100g, currently €2.20, print run: 56,000) reproducing this common "Peace Knot" and another one representing the Irish Post's project (design: Ailbhe Phelan) for this PostEurop competition.
These two self-adhesive stamps, each printed in a sheetlet of 8 stamps, were used on this cover sent on July 5, 2023 from Dublin. Thank you very much Gearóid!
The other stamp (domestic rate "N" for postage up to 100g, currently €1.35, print run: 72,000) is inspired by the concept that individual nations, represented by colorful birds, can come together to be a driving force for peace. Each of the multicolored birds is different, but each takes flight from their homeland below, joining together and moving in solidarity.
To note the mention "Peace" in English and Gaelic ("síocháin") on these two stamps and this mechanical cancellation with a slogan evoking the 100 years of the creation of "savings certificates". More than 25 billion euros are currently managed by "Ireland State Savings".

Heureux de partager avec vous cette lettre envoyée depuis l'archipel du Cap-Vert ("Cabo Verde" en portugais) situé dans l'océan Atlantique, au large des côtes du Sénégal.
Merci beaucoup Pedro pour ce pli envoyé le 7 juin 2023 depuis São Filipe, la localité principale de l'île de Fogo située dans le sud de l'archipel, qui abrite une réserve de biosphère reconnue par l'UNESCO.
A noter ce cachet bleu incluant le logo de la poste capverdienne et mention de l'agence postale de São Filipe, sans aucune date (un autre TAD a été appliqué au dos de cette enveloppe).
Pedro a utilisé ici 2 timbres faisant partie d'une série (3 timbres), conçue par l'artiste cap-verdien Domingos Luísa (né en 1961), émise le 13 août 2004 à l'occasion des jeux olympiques d'été organisés cette année-là à Athènes (Grèce). 
Des athlètes du Cap-Vert ont participé à toutes les éditions des jeux olympiques d'été depuis 1996 (Atlanta) mais n'ont remporté aucune médaille à ce jour. Ils ont été principalement engagés dans les sports suivants : athlétisme, boxe, judo, natation, gymnastique rythmique et taekwondo. 
Happy to share with you this cover sent from the Cape Verde archipelago ("Cabo Verde" in Portuguese) located in the Atlantic Ocean, off the coast of Senegal.
Thank you very much Pedro for this letter sent on June 7, 2023 from São Filipe, the main locality of the island of Fogo located in the south of the archipelago, which is home to a biosphere reserve recognized by UNESCO.
To note this blue cachet including the logo of the Cape Verdean Post and mention of the São Filipe postal agency, without any date (another postmark has been applied to the back of this envelope).
Pedro used here two stamps belonging to a series (3 stamps), designed by Cape Verdean artist Domingos Luísa (born in 1961), issued on August 13, 2004 on the occasion of the Summer Olympic Games organized that year in Athens, Greece.
Athletes from Cape Verde have participated in all editions of the Summer Olympics since 1996 (Atlanta) but have not won any medals to date. They were mainly engaged in the following sports: athletics, boxing, judo, swimming, rhythmic gymnastics and taekwondo.

Ces 2 timbres illustrent en particulier le taekwondo (10 CVE) et la gymnastique rythmique (60 CVE), le 3ème timbre (100 CVE) de cette série étant consacré à la boxe. Les 3 athlètes capverdiens engagés lors de ces jeux olympiques d'Athènes en 2004 ont participé à des épreuves d'athlétisme, gymnastique rythmique et boxe.
Ancienne colonie portugaise, le Cap-Vert a disposé de ses premiers timbres en 1877 (une couronne et mention "Correio Cabo Verde"), sous le règne du roi Louis Ier du Portugal (1861-1889).

Les pays membres du Marché Commun du Sud (Mercosur en espagnol), une communauté économique et politique regroupant plusieurs pays sud-américains, ont pris l'habitude d'émettre chaque année depuis 1997 des timbres ayant un thème commun.
Après le thème des insectes utiles en 2021, le thème choisi en 2022, la faune et la flore, a été normalement décliné dans les 4 pays membres suivants : Brésil, Argentine, Paraguay et Uruguay.
Le Vénézuela, membre depuis 2012 puis suspendu depuis fin 2016 et la Bolivie, en cours d'adhésion, n'ont pas participé a priori.
Le 1er juin 2022, la poste uruguayenne "Correo Uruguayo" a mis en circulation 2 timbres se-tenant pour illustrer cette thématique de la faune et la flore, et en particulier le monde marin ("mundo marino").
J'ai eu la chance de recevoir la jolie lettre ci-dessous affranchie avec cette série, envoyée le 21 juin 2023 depuis Montevideo. Merci beaucoup Gabriel ! 
The member countries of the Southern Common Market (Mercosur in Spanish, Mercosul in Portuguese), an economic and political community among several South American countries, have made a habit of issuing every year (since 1997) some stamps having a common theme. 
After the theme of beneficial insects in 2021, the theme chosen in 2022, fauna and flora, was normally declined in the following 4 member countries: Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay.
Venezuela, member since 2012 then suspended since the end of 2016 and Bolivia, in the process of joining, did not participate a priori.
On June 1, 2022, the Uruguayan Post "Correo Uruguayo" put into circulation two se-tenant stamps to illustrate this theme of fauna and flora, and in particular the marine world ("mundo marino").
I was lucky enough to receive the pretty cover below stamped with this series, sent on June 21, 2023 from Montevideo. Thank you very much Gabriel!

 

Le logo officiel du Mercosur (constellation de la Croix du Sud) est inclus en haut à droite sur ces 2 timbres.
Ces 2 timbres (tirage : 7500 chacun), conçus par Daniel Pereyra, ont été imprimés dans une même feuillet composé de 3 paires et représentent différents types d'organismes marins avec des dunes de sables dans le fond (Cabo Polonio ?).
Le timbre à gauche (75 pesos) représente une espèce d'algue unicellulaire appelée Noctiluca scintillans, un organisme marin qui peut exister sous forme verte ou sous forme rouge en fonction de la pigmentation présente dans ses vacuoles. Cet organisme, commun sur les côtes océaniques de l'Uruguay, est connu pour sa capacité de bioluminescence, rendant les eaux d'un bleu lumineux. 
L'autre timbre (30 pesos) illustre 2 organismes marins polymorphes coloniaux, appartenant au groupe des hydrozoaires, qui habitent les eaux chaudes du monde entier, la galère portugaise (Physalia physalis) et la vélelle (Velella velella), souvent confondues avec des méduses.
The official Mercosur logo (constellation of the Southern Cross) is present on the top right on these two stamps.
These two stamps (print run: 7,500 each), designed by Daniel Pereyra, have been printed in the same sheetlet composed of 3 pairs and represent different types of marine organisms with sand dunes in the background (Cabo Polonio?).
The stamp on the left (75 pesos) depicts a species of single-celled algae called Noctiluca scintillans, a marine organism that can exist in either green or red form depending on the pigmentation present in its vacuoles. This organism, common on the ocean coasts of Uruguay, is known for its ability to bioluminescence, turning the waters a luminous blue.
The other stamp (30 pesos) illustrates two colonial polymorphic marine organisms, belonging to the group of hydrozoa, which inhabit warm waters around the world, the Portuguese man o' war (Physalia physalis) and the velella (Velella velella), often confused with jellyfish.

"Bergheim, favorite village of the French 2022" stamp on FDC from France

"Le Village préféré des Français" est une émission de télévision française dont le principe est de désigner chaque année, depuis 2012, le village préféré des français parmi une sélection de 13 à 22 villages, grâce à un vote du public sur le site internet de l'émission.
Depuis 2017, la poste française met en circulation des timbres illustrant ces villages.
Après Sancerre (Cher) en 2022 (village préféré élu en 2021), un nouveau timbre a été émis le 3 juillet 2023 (vente générale) consacré au village de Bergheim (Haut-Rhin), désigné village préféré des français en 2022.
Ce timbre (1,16€, tirage : 900000), conçu par Eloïse Oddos et gravé par Claude Jumelet, figure sur le pli Premier Jour ci-dessous daté du 30 juin 2023, avec TAD de Bergheim. Merci beaucoup Olivier !
Ce TAD représente l'une des 3 fontaines de ce village (2000 habitants), datant du 16ème siècle, situé place du Docteur-Pierre-Walter.

"The favorite village of the French" ("Le Village préféré des Français") is a French television show whose principle is to designate each year, since 2012, the favorite village of the French among a selection of 13 to 22 villages, after a public vote on a dedicated website. 
Since 2017, the French Post is issuing stamps illustrating these villages.

This cancellation represents one of the 3 fountains of this village (2,000 inhabitants), dating from the 16th century, located on Docteur-Pierre-Walter square.
Too bad for this ugly double mechanical cancellation applied on July 3, 2023 by the mail processing center of Holtzheim Strasbourg... 

Épargné par les deux dernières guerres mondiales, Bergheim a la chance d'avoir un patrimoine dans un état de conservation exceptionnel. L'emblématique Obertor ("Porte haute", représentée sur ce timbre) datant du 14ème siècle, marque l'une des entrées du village, délimitée par des fortifications à double enceinte commencées en 1312. Comme beaucoup d'autres villages alsaciens, on peut admirer le charme des maisons à colombage de couleurs vives abondamment fleuries.
Bergheim est le 4ème village alsacien à recevoir cette distinction, après Eguisheim en 2013, Kaysersberg en 2017 et Hunspach en 2020.
Ce timbre a été imprimé en feuillet de 15 timbres avec marges illustrées incluant en particulier le logo "Le Village préféré des Français", des grappes de raisin et des détails architecturaux du village, comme le clocher de l'église Notre-Dame-de-l'Assomption (exemple ci-dessus).
Le village d'Esquelbecq (Nord) sera à l'honneur sur le prochain timbre de cette série en 2024.
Spared by the last two world wars, Bergheim is fortunate to have a heritage in an exceptional state of preservation. The emblematic "Obertor" ("Upper gate", featured on this stamp) dating from the 14th century, marks one of the entrances to the village, delimited by double-enclosure fortifications begun in 1312. Like many other Alsatian villages, one can admire the charm of the brightly colored half-timbered houses, abundantly flowered.
Bergheim is the 4th Alsatian village to receive this distinction, after Eguisheim in 2013, Kaysersberg in 2017 and Hunspach in 2020.
This stamp was printed in a sheetlet of 15 stamps with illustrated margins including in particular the "Le Village préféré des Français" logo, bunches of grapes and architectural details of the village, such as the bell tower of the Our Lady of the Assumption Church (example above).
The village of Esquelbecq (Nord) will be featured on the next stamp in this series in 2024.

A noter que la poste norvégienne a participé à ce concours EUROPA organisé par PostEurop (avec un dessin représentant un cœur associés à des bandes de drapeaux abstraits unis dans des anneaux protecteurs, tous unis dans la paix) mais a choisi de ne pas émettre de 2ème timbre EUROPA le reproduisant...  
Ce timbre autocollant ("Europe 20g - 29 NOK" - tirage : 185000), imprimé en feuille de 50 timbres, a été utilisé sur cette lettre envoyée le 22 juin 2023 depuis Mandal, la commune située le plus au sud de la Norvège. Merci beaucoup Rune !
Selon le rapport du jury de PostEurop, ce motif "Nœud de la paix" est une métaphore visuelle d'une société pacifique dans laquelle la coopération dans le respect de la culture de chacun est centrale.

According to the PostEurop jury report, this "Peace Knot" motif is a visual metaphor for a peaceful society in which cooperation with respect for each other's culture is central.

"Africa without anti-personnel mines" stamp on FDC from Algeria

Les guerres devraient prendre fin quand cessent les combats mais pourtant, les mines antipersonnel continuent de tuer et de mutiler bien après la fin des hostilités, et ce sont principalement les civils qui en subissent les terribles conséquences.
En général, l'explosion d'une mine tue ou blesse une ou plusieurs personnes, souvent des enfants, et entraîne des séquelles à vie pour les survivants et leurs familles...
La contamination par les mines rend par ailleurs de vastes étendues de terres fertiles inutilisables, ce qui compromet la production alimentaire et entraîne la disparition des moyens de subsistance. Aussi n'est-il pas rare que des pays en subissent les conséquences des dizaines d'années encore après la fin d'un conflit armé. 
C'est la raison pour laquelle la communauté internationale a adopté en 1997 la Convention sur l'interdiction des mines antipersonnel (traité d'Ottawa) qui bannit l'emploi, la production, le stockage et le transfert de ces armes, et requiert que des dispositions spécifiques soient prises afin de prévenir et traiter leurs effets à long terme. 
Wars should end when the fighting stops, yet anti-personnel mines continue to kill and maim long after hostilities have ended, and it is primarily civilians who suffer the terrible consequences.
In general, the explosion of a mine kills or injures one or more people, often children, and causes lifelong consequences for the survivors and their families...
Mining contamination also renders large tracts of fertile land unusable, undermining food production and leading to the disappearance of livelihoods. It is therefore not uncommon for countries to suffer the consequences decades after the end of an armed conflict.
This is why the international community adopted in 1997 the Convention on the prohibition of anti-personnel mines (Ottawa Treaty) which bans the use, production, stockpiling and transfer of these weapons, and requires that specific measures be taken to prevent and treat their long-term effects.

En Afrique (subsaharienne en particulier), les mines antipersonnel continuent d'avoir de graves conséquences sur la vie de millions de personnes et sur des milliers de communautés. Un grand nombre d'africains sont tués ou blessés chaque année par ces armes, dont la présence constitue un obstacle majeur à la reconstruction des pays qui sortent d'un conflit. 
À deux exceptions près (Éthiopie et Somalie), tous les pays de l'Afrique subsaharienne sont désormais parties à la Convention sur l'interdiction des mines antipersonnel. Près de 30 pays sont concernés sur tout le continent africain
L'Algérie, avec son expérience post-coloniale de déminage (l'armée française aurait utilisé près de 11 millions de mines le long des frontières est et ouest du pays entre 1956 et 1959), peut venir en aide à ces pays actuellement touchés par ce fléau.
En 2017 (55 ans après l'indépendance), le processus de déminage et de destruction des mines antipersonnel héritées de l'époque coloniale a été officiellement achevé par l'Armée nationale populaire algérienne.
Le 1er juin 2023, la poste algérienne a mis en circulation un timbre intitulé "L'Afrique sans mines antipersonnel".
Ce timbre (25 dinars, conception : Khaled Nacir) figure en 3 exemplaires sur cette jolie lettre envoyée depuis Jijel, avec TAD Premier Jour du 30 mai 2023. Merci beaucoup Zine !

Algeria, with its post-colonial experience in mine clearance (the French army is said to have used nearly 11 million mines along the eastern and western borders of the country between 1956 and 1959), can come to the aid of these countries currently affected by this plague.
In 2017 (55 years after independence), the process of demining and destroying anti-personnel mines inherited from the colonial era was officially completed by the Algerian People's National Army.
On June 1, 2023, the Algerian Post put into circulation a stamp entitled "Africa without anti-personnel mines".

"Bayt Mal Al Quds Acharif Agency - 25th anniversary" stamp on FDC from Morocco

Le 23 mars 2023, la poste marocaine Barid Al-Maghrib a mis en circulation un timbre (9 dirhams, imprimé au Maroc par Dar As-Sikkah) consacré au jubilé d'argent (25 ans) de l'Agence Bayt Mal Al Qods Acharif.
L'Agence Bayt Mal Al Qods Acharif (BMAQ), basée à Rabat et créée en 1998, est une agence qui a pour mission de préserver le patrimoine culturel et historique de la ville sainte d'Al Qods (Jérusalem) et de soutenir les populations. Cette Agence relève du Comité d'Al Qods, présidé par le Roi du Maroc, Mohammed VI.
L'Agence est active dans plusieurs domaines comme la rénovation et la restauration de bâtiments historiques, l'aménagement d'espaces publics, la protection des sites archéologiques et la promotion du tourisme culturel dans la ville d'Al Qods.
Elle s'engage également dans des projets de développement humain, économique et social visant à améliorer les conditions de vie de la population palestinienne de la ville. 
On March 23, 2023, the Moroccan Post Barid Al-Maghrib put into circulation a stamp (9 dirhams, printed in Morocco by Dar As-Sikkah) dedicated to the silver jubilee (25th anniversary) of the Bayt Mal Al Quds Acharif Agency.
The Bayt Mal Al Quds Acharif Agency (BMAQ), based in Rabat and created in 1998, is an agency whose mission is to preserve the cultural and historical heritage of the holy city of Al Quds (Jerusalem) and to support the populations. This Agency reports to the Al Quds Committee, chaired by the King of Morocco, Mohammed VI.
The Agency is active in several areas such as the renovation and restoration of historic buildings, the development of public spaces, the protection of archaeological sites and the promotion of cultural tourism in the city of Al Quds.
It is also involved in human, economic and social development projects aimed at improving the living conditions of the Palestinian population of the city.

 

Pour rappel, Jérusalem est aujourd'hui de facto la capitale d'Israël et, pour la partie Est, la capitale proclamée et revendiquée par l'État de Palestine.
Début 2023, l'Agence a annoncé avoir reçu pendant ses 25 ans d’existence un total de 65 millions de dollars de dons: 22,3 millions de dons d'Etats (dont le Maroc est le principal contributeur à hauteur de 75%), 27,1 millions de dons institutionnels et 15,5 millions des particuliers.
J'ai eu la chance de recevoir le joli FDC numéroté officiel ci-dessus concernant ce timbre, envoyé le 27 avril 2023 depuis la ville de Meknès. Merci beaucoup Pierre !
Ce timbre (tirage : 50000), conçu par Mohammed El Ouanti, illustre une superposition des symboles religieux de la ville d'Al Qods, le Dôme du Rocher et la mosquée al-Aqsa. Le drapeau palestinien ainsi que des colombes de la paix sont également représentés, le logo officiel du 25ème anniversaire de cette Agence étant présent discrètement en haut à gauche.

As a reminder, Jerusalem is today the de facto capital of Israel and, for the eastern part, the proclaimed and claimed capital of the State of Palestine.
