UPAEP 2021 (Tourism) stamp set on cover from Chile

Série UPAEP 2021 (Tourisme) sur lettre du Chili

Après l'architecture en 2020 et avant les arts en 2022, le thème choisi en 2021 pour les émissions de timbres América-UPAEP était consacré au tourisme ("Turismo").
Pour rappel, l'UPAEP (Union Postale des Amériques, de l'Espagne et du Portugal) est une union restreinte de l'UPU, créée en 1911, regroupant une trentaine de pays et territoires.
A l'image des timbres EUROPA, des timbres UPAEP sont émis chaque année depuis 1989, par une quinzaine de pays environ.
Le 26 novembre 2021, la poste chilienne a mis en circulation une intéressante série UPAEP (2 timbres) consacrée à des sites touristiques du pays, le parc national Torres del Paine et l'île de Pâques.
Ces 2 timbres (tirage : 50000 chacun, conception : Daniela Valentini Vergara), incluant le logo UPAEP en bas à droite, ont été utilisés sur cette lettre envoyée le 22 mai 2023 depuis la ville de San Felipe (région de Valparaíso). Merci beaucoup Rosa ! 
After architecture in 2020 and before the arts in 2022, the theme chosen in 2021 for the América-UPAEP stamp issues was devoted to tourism ("Turismo").
As a reminder, UPAEP (Postal Union of the Americas, Spain and Portugal) is a restricted union of the UPU, established in 1911, bringing together about thirty countries and territories. 
Like EUROPA stamps, UPAEP stamps are issued each year since 1989 by around fifteen countries.
On November 26, 2021, the Chilean Post released an interesting UPAEP series (2 stamps) dedicated to tourist sites in the country, Torres del Paine National Park and Easter Island.
These two stamps (print run: 50,000 each, design: Daniela Valentini Vergara), including the UPAEP logo at the bottom right, were used on this cover sent on May 22, 2023 from the city of San Felipe (Valparaíso region). Thank you very much Rosa!

Le timbre à gauche (500 pesos) est consacré au parc national Torres del Paine, situé entre la cordillère des Andes et la steppe de Patagonie, appartenant administrativement à la 12ème région de Magallanes et de l'Antarctique chilien et à la province de Última Esperanza (sud du pays).
D'une surface de 200000 hectares environ, ce parc a été créé en 1959 a a été déclaré réserve de biosphère en 1978 par l'UNESCO.
Il tient son nom de trois formations granitiques emblématiques, les Torres (Tours) del Paine, lui confèrant un fort attrait touristique. De nombreux sentiers et refuges permettent d'en faire un lieu majeur de trekking.
L'autre timbre (1000 pesos) est consacré à l'île de Pâques (Rapa Nui) et en particulier à ses moaï, des statues monumentales datant du 13ème et 15ème siècles. La majorité de ces monolithes (887 ont été recensés) sont sculptés dans du tuf issu principalement de la carrière du volcan Rano Raraku.
Le timbre représente en particulier l'Ahu Tongariki, un alignement de 15 moaï dont le plus lourd existant (86 tonnes), situé au bord de la baie d'Hotuiti, dans la partie orientale de l'île. Cela en fait un point d'intérêt majeur de l'île.
The stamp on the left (500 pesos) is dedicated to Torres del Paine National Park, located between the Andes mountain range and the Patagonian steppe, administratively belonging to the 12th region of Magallanes and Chilean Antarctica and the province of Última Esperanza (south of the country).
Covering an area of approximately 200,000 hectares, this park was created in 1959 and was declared a biosphere reserve in 1978 by UNESCO.
It takes its name from three emblematic granite formations, the Torres (Towers) del Paine, giving it a strong tourist attraction. Many trails and refuges make it a major place for trekking.
The other stamp (1000 pesos) is devoted to Easter Island (Rapa Nui) and in particular to its moai, some monumental statues dating from the 13th and 15th centuries. The majority of these monoliths (887 have been identified) are sculpted in tuff mainly from the quarry of the Rano Raraku volcano.
The stamp represents in particular the Ahu Tongariki, an alignment of 15 moai including the heaviest existing (86 tons), located on the edge of Hotuiti Bay, in the eastern part of the island. This makes it a major point of interest on the island.
