Euromed Postal 2022 (Maritime Archeology in the Mediterranean) stamp set on cover from Albania

Série Euromed Postal 2022 (Archéologie maritime de la Méditerranée) sur lettre d'Albanie

Pour rappel, depuis 2014, certains pays membres (23 au total actuellement) de l'Union Postale pour la Méditerranée (PUMed), une union restreinte de l'UPU, émettent chaque année des timbres "Euromed Postal" ayant un thème commun lié à la région méditerranéenne.
Après les bijoux artisanaux de la Méditerranée en 2021, les 15 administrations postales participantes ont émis en 2022 des timbres "Euromed Postal" différents consacrés au thème de l'archéologie maritime ou les cités antiques de la Méditerranée.
Avec plus d'un an de retard, la poste albanaise a mis en circulation, le 20 octobre 2023, sa 3ème série Euromed Postal (4 timbres) illustrant uniquement le thème de l'archéologie sous-marine ("Arkeologjia nënujore" en albanais).  
As a reminder, since 2014, some member countries (currently 23 in total) of the Postal Union for the Mediterranean (PUMed), a restricted union of the UPU, are issuing each year  "Euromed Postal" stamps devoted to a common theme related to the Mediterranean region.
After Handicraft Jewelry in the Mediterranean in 2021, the 15 participating postal administrations issued different "Euromed Postal" stamps in 2022 dedicated to the theme of Maritime Archeology or Antique Cities of the Mediterranean.
More than a year late, the Albanian Post put into circulation, on October 20, 2023, its 3rd Euromed Postal series (4 stamps) illustrating only the theme of underwater archeology ("Arkeologjia nënujore" in Albanian).

 

Conçus par Petraq Papa, ces 4 timbres (avec présence du logo Euromed Postal - un faucon stylisé - sur chaque timbre) ont été imprimés dans un même feuillet composé de 8 timbres (2 de chaque, tirage : 3700 feuillets) ainsi qu'en feuilles de 28 timbres pour les timbres à 50 lekë (tirage : 125000) et 90 lekë (tirage : 100000).
Un grand merci Sabri pour cette lettre envoyée le 2 décembre 2023 depuis Tirana, incluant cette très jolie série Euromed Postal 2022 !
Je n'ai malheureusement pas de détail concernant les différents sites sous-marins représentés sur ces 4 timbres, incluant tous des vestiges avec présence de plusieurs types d'amphores. 
Il existe une concentration inhabituellement élevée d'épaves le long du littoral albanais. La forme des falaises, les grottes sous-marines et les formations rocheuses submergées ont entraîné les navires vers le fond, mais comme cette région était souvent un théâtre de guerre, de nombreux autres navires ont été délibérément coulés.
L'Agence albanaise du littoral cartographie les fonds marins et a jusqu’à présent recensé 38 épaves, dont la plus ancienne remonte au 4ème siècle avant Jésus-Christ.
L'épave du Joni a été le premier site sous-marin fouillé en Albanie. La cargaison originale d'amphores est toujours à bord et remonte à l'époque de la Rome antique. Le Joni a coulé au 4ème siècle et repose intact, bien qu'il soit dans un état fragile.
Designed by Petraq Papa, these 4 stamps (with the presence of the Euromed Postal logo - a stylized falcon - on each stamp) were printed in the same sheet made up of 8 stamps (2 of each, edition: 3,700 sheets) as well as in sheets of 28 stamps for the 50 lekë (print run: 125,000) and 90 lekë (print run: 100,000) stamps.

Unfortunately, I do not have any details concerning the different underwater sites depicted on these 4 stamps, all including vestiges with the presence of several types of amphorae.
There is an unusually high concentration of shipwrecks along the Albanian coastline. The shape of the cliffs, underwater caves and submerged rock formations dragged the ships to the bottom, but as this area was often a theater of war, many other ships were deliberately sunk.
The Albanian Coastal Agency maps the seabed and has so far identified 38 wrecks, the oldest of which dates back to the 4th century BC.
The Joni wreck was the first underwater site excavated in Albania. The original cargo of amphorae is still on board and dates back to the times of ancient Rome. The Joni sank in the 4th century and lies intact, although in a fragile condition.
