"Red Book of the Kyrgyz Republic - Insects" stamp set on FDC from Kyrgyzstan (KEP)

Série "Livre Rouge - Insectes" sur FDC du Kirghizstan (KEP)

Après des mammifères en 2018, des reptiles et batraciens en 2019 et des poissons en 2021, la Kyrgyz Express Post (KEP) a mis en circulation le 30 avril 2024, une très jolie série (4 timbres + 1 bloc-feuillet, avec millésime 2023) consacrée à nouveau au Livre Rouge de la République kirghize, en particulier 5 espèces d'insectes.
Le Kirghizistan, avec sa position géographique unique (à prédominance montagneuse) dans la partie sud-ouest de l'Asie centrale, possède une diversité remarquable de faune d'insectes. Selon les calculs effectués en 2012-2013, environ 15000 espèces d'insectes ont été recensées dans le pays, mais en réalité, selon certaines estimations, il pourrait y en avoir 30000.
Environ un quart des espèces d'insectes sont endémiques à la chaîne de hautes montagnes du Tien Shan. Certaines espèces d'insectes sont très rares et locales, d’autres ont rapidement diminué en superficie et en nombre en raison de l'aménagement du territoire et ont désormais besoin d'être protégées. 17 espèces d'insectes sont répertoriées dans le Livre rouge de la République kirghize.  
After mammals in 2018, reptiles and amphibians in 2019 and fish in 2021, the Kyrgyz Express Post (KEP) put into circulation on April 30, 2024, a very pretty series (4 stamps + 1 souvenir sheet, with year 2023) dedicated once again to the Red Book of the Kyrgyz Republic, in particular 5 species of insects.
Kyrgyzstan, with its unique geographical position (predominantly mountainous) in the southwestern part of Central Asia, has a remarkable diversity of insect fauna. According to calculations made in 2012-2013, about 15,000 species of insects were recorded in the country, but in reality, according to some estimates, there could be 30,000.
About a quarter of insect species are endemic to the Tien Shan high mountain range. Some insect species are very rare and local, others have rapidly declined in area and number due to land development and now need protection. 17 species of insects are listed in the Red Book of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Une 5ème espèce incluse dans ce Livre Rouge, une grande libellule jaune et noire (Sonjagaster coronata), est représentée sur l'enveloppe ci-dessus.
Ces 4 timbres (tirage : 9000 chacun) représentent chacun une espèce dans son environnement privilégié : magicienne dentelée (50 KGS, Saga pedo), une sauterelle recensée dans les gorges d'Uzun-Akhmat et dans quelques localités du nord du pays, cicindèle de Galatée (75 KGS, Cephalota galatea), une espèce endémique de coléoptère des basses montagnes bordant la vallée de Fergana, guêpe longicorne de Kuznetzov (150 KGS, Masaris longicornis), une espèce relique rare présentant un dimorphisme sexuel notable, observée dans plusieurs chaînes de montagnes à des altitudes de 1800 à 3100 m, alexanor (300 KGS, Papilio alexanor), un papillon pittoresque et rare au Kirghizistan où une sous-espèce Voldemar a été recensée dans plusieurs localités du nord-ouest du pays et sur le versant sud de la chaîne de montagnes Moldo-Too.

A 5th species included in this Red Book, a large yellow and black dragonfly, Coronate Spiketail (Sonjagaster coronata), is pictured on the envelope above.
These 4 stamps (print run: 9,000 each) each represent a species in its privileged environment: Matriarchal Katydid (50 KGS, Saga pedo), a grasshopper recorded in the Uzun-Akhmat gorges and in some localities in the north of the country, Galatea Tiger Beetle (75 KGS, Cephalota galatea), an endemic species of low mountain beetle bordering the Fergana Valley, Kuznetzov's Longicorn Wasp (150 KGS, Masaris longicornis), a rare relict species with notable sexual dimorphism, observed in several mountain ranges at altitudes of 1800 to 3100 m, Southern Swallowtail (300 KGS, Papilio alexanor), a picturesque and rare butterfly in Kyrgyzstan where a Voldemar subspecies has been recorded in several localities in the northwest of the country and on the southern slope of the Moldo-Too mountain range.

Le bloc-feuillet de cette série (300 KGS, tirage : 3400) représente une espèce de coléoptère appelée Kirgizobia bohnei, endémique du Kirghizistan. Ce représentant de taille moyenne (17–20 mm) de la famille des Cerambycidae n'est connu que dans quelques endroits de la zone de moyenne montagne de la chaîne de Fergana et du système montagneux d'Alai.
Ce bloc-feuillet figure sur le FDC officiel ci-dessus (tirage : 400) avec une illustration représentant le papillon alexanor (Papilio alexanor). 
The souvenir sheet of this series (300 KGS, print run: 3,400) represents a species of beetle called Kirgizobia bohnei, endemic to Kyrgyzstan. This medium-sized (17–20 mm) representative of the Cerambycidae family, is known from only a few places in the mid-mountain zone in the Fergana Mountain Range and the Alai Mountain System.
This souvenir sheet is present on the official FDC above (print run: 400) with an illustration representing the Southern Swallowtail (Papilio alexanor).

Les 4 timbres de cette série ont été imprimés (par Nova Imprim en Moldavie) chacun en feuillet (ci-dessus et ci-dessous) composé de 5 timbres + 1 vignette (tirage : 1200 feuillets pour chaque timbre).
Les 4 vignettes comportent le nom de l'espèce animale en anglais et russe (nom en kirghize et latin sur les timbres). Un bloc-feuillet (tirage : 3000) incluant les 4 timbres de cette série, a également été mis en circulation.  
The 4 stamps of this series have been printed (by Nova Imprim in Moldova) each in sheetlet (see above and below) consisting of 5 stamps + 1 label (print run: 1,200 sheetlets for each stamp). 
The 4 labels contain the name of the animal species in English and Russian (name in Kyrgyz and Latin on the stamps). A souvenir sheet (print run: 3,000) including the 4 stamps of this series, was also put into circulation.

La KEP a également mis en circulation les 5 jolies cartes maximum ci-dessous (tirage : 400 chacune), numérotées de MC-117 à MC-121, concernant les 5 timbres de cette série, reproduisant les dessins originaux de Vladimir Melnic ayant inspirés cette émission. 
The KEP also put into circulation the five nice maxicards below (print run: 400 each), numbered from MC-117 to MC-121, about the five stamps of this series, reproducing the original drawings by Vladimir Melnic that inspired this really nice issue.
