Bloc-feuillet "Vice-champions du monde de handball 2025" sur lettre de Croatie

Le 2 février 2025, à Oslo, la Croatie s'inclinait en finale (26-32 contre le Danemark) de la 29ème édition du championnat du monde masculin de handball ("rukomet" en croate), organisée conjointement par la Norvège, le Danemark et la Croatie.
Il s'agissait de la première médaille mondiale pour la Croatie depuis une médaille de bronze en 2013, le pays ayant été une seule fois champion du monde en 2003 (la Croatie a été aussi championne olympique en 1996 et 2004).
En complément, la Croatie avait déjà été vice-championne du monde en 1995, 2005 et 2009.
Pour célébrer cette médaille d'argent au mondial 2025, la poste croate a mis en circulation, le 6 mars 2025, un bloc-feuillet composé de 3 timbres à 1,70€ (tirage : 20000), conçu par Alenka Lalić à partir d'une photographie de Jozo Čabraja, représentant les joueurs de l'équipe croate après la remise de leurs médailles.
On February 2, 2025, in Oslo, Croatia lost the final (26-32 to Denmark) of the 29th edition of the World Men's Handball Championship, jointly hosted by Norway, Denmark, and Croatia.
This was Croatia's first world medal since a bronze in 2013, the country having been world champion only once, in 2003 (Croatia was also Olympic champion in 1996 and 2004).
Additionally, Croatia had already been runners-up in the world championships in 1995, 2005, and 2009.
To celebrate this handball ("rukomet" in Croatian) silver medal at the 2025 World Championship, Croatian Post released a souvenir sheet containing three €1.70 stamps (print run: 20,000) on March 6, 2025.
The stamps have been designed by Alenka Lalić based on a photograph by Jozo Čabraja, depicting the Croatian team players after receiving their medals.

Un grand bravo aux joueurs croates (qui avaient battu la France en demi-finale...) à l'honneur sur ce bloc-feuillet - Domagoj Duvnjak (capitaine), Igor Karačić, Luka Cindrić, Ivano Pavlović, Ivan Martinović, Mateo Maraš, Luka Lovre Klarica, Zvonimir Srna, Tin Lučin, Marko Mamić, David Mandić, Marin Jelinić, Lovro Mihić, Mario Šoštarić, Filip Glavaš, Marin Šipić, Leon Šušnja, Veron Načinović, Josip Šimić, Dominik Kuzmanović, Ivan Pešić, Matija Špikić - et à leur entraîneur islandais Dagur Sigurðsson (en poste depuis 2024 après avoir dirigé l'Allemagne et le Japon).
