Comme chaque fin d'année, la poste autrichienne a émis un timbre consacré à Noël (Weihnachten). Depuis 2005, elle émet même 2 timbres à 2 dates différentes...
Ci-dessous, l'enveloppe commémorative du 5 novembre 2008 avec un de ces 2 timbres spéciaux consacré au 1er arbre de Noël dans la ville de Ried im Innkreis au 19ème siècle (1847).

Ried im Innkreis (11600 habitants), située dans le land de Haute-Autriche, a logiquement disposé d'une oblitération spéciale évoquant le club philatélique Saint-Gabriel local, avec l'église paroissiale de Ried en son centre.
As each end of year, the Austrian Post has issued a stamp dedicated to Christmas (Weihnachten). Since 2005, two Christmas stamps are released at two different dates...

Ried im Innkreis (11,600 inhabitants), located in the state of Upper Austria, logically arranged a special cancellation referring to the St. Gabriel local Philatelic Club, with the Ried parish church in its center.

Le timbre ci-dessus à 0,65€ reproduit une oeuvre du peintre Felix Ignaz Pollinger faisant partie des collections du musée des coutumes populaires (Museum Innviertler Volksundehaus) de Ried im Innkreis.
Cette peinture montre la famille Rapolter et ses 5 enfants dont la mère, d'origine française huguenote alsacienne, serait à l'origine de l'arrivée de ce petit sapin de Noël à Ried. Installé au milieu de la table, il était décoré de nombreuses lumières, de pommes rouges et de noix dorées. Deux drapeaux rouge et blanc (Haute-Autriche) et noir et or (maison impériale) ainsi que 2 banderoles portant les mentions "Dieu avec nous" et "48ème anniversaire" figurent également sur cet arbre. Le père, Josef Anton, fêtait effectivement ses 48 ans...
The stamp above (€0.65) reproduces a work of the painter Felix Ignaz Pollinger from the collections of the Folk Museum (Museum Innviertler Volksundehaus) of Ried im Innkreis.
This painting shows the Rapolter's family with five children whose mother, of French Huguenot Alsatian background, would be behind the arrival of this small Christmas tree in Ried. Located in the middle of the table, it was decorated with many lights, red apples and golden nuts. Two red and white (Upper Austria) and black and gold (imperial House) flags and two banners with the words "God with us" and "48th Birthday" are also included on this tree. The father, Josef Anton, actually celebrated his 48 years...
