Un court message pour partager ce soir avec vous cet intéressant pli illustré concernant la série de 2 timbres, émise le 1er novembre 2011 (année 100 à Taïwan), consacré au 100ème anniversaire de la création du mouvement scout en république de Chine.

Les 2 oblitérations spéciales (différentes du timbre à date Premier Jour) représentent l'emblème de l'association des scouts de Taïwan, qui figure également sur les 2 timbres, ainsi que le salut scout à gauche.
A short post to share with you today this interesting illustrated cover devoted to the set of two stamps, issued on November 1, 2011 (the year 100 in Taiwan), about the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Scout Movement in the Republic of China.

The two special cancellations (different from the FDC's one) depict the emblem of the Scout Association of Taiwan, that is also included on the two stamps, and the scout salute to the left.

Un mouvement scout organisé en République de Chine a en effet débuté en 1912 sous l'impulsion du révérend Yen Chia-Lin de la Boone Memorial School à Wuchang, en Chine continentale.
Yang Sheng-hsiung, le concepteur de cette série, a voulu mettre l'accent sur la contribution des scouts dans la société, en particulier l'accompagnement des personnes en difficulté (timbre à 5 NT$).
L'autre timbre (12 NT$) évoque des activités de plein air avec une tente et une tour d'observation. Des forêts ainsi que le principal sommet du Mont Jade sont représentées dans le fond de ce timbre alors que des gratte-ciel figurent sur l'autre timbre, symboles du développement de Taïwan.
A noter enfin que la Chunghwa Post est sans doute une des administrations postales à avoir émis le plus grand nombre de timbres consacrés au mouvement scout (une dizaine de séries depuis 1957).
An organized Scout Movement in the Republic of China has indeed started in 1912 under the leadership of Reverend Yen Chia-Lin of the Boone Memorial School in Wuchang, in mainland China.
Yang Sheng-hsiung, the designer of this series, wanted to emphasize the contribution of Scouts to the society, in particular by doing social work or helping others (NT$ 5.00 stamp).
The other stamp (NT$ 12.00) evokes the outdoors with a tent and a watchtower. Forests and the main peak of Mt. Jade are shown in the background on this stamp while skyscrapers are featured on the other stamp, symbols of the advanced development of Taiwan.
Finally, to note that the Chunghwa Post is probably one of the postal administrations to have issued the largest number of stamps dedicated to Scout Movement (ten series since 1957).
