50 years of TV in Singapore (1963-2013)

Le 5 mai 1923, Radio Singapura émettait ses premières émissions radio et le 15 février 1963, avant le retrait des troupes britanniques, le premier service de télévision était créé par TV Singapura.
Pour commémorer ces 50 ans de télévision dans le pays, la SingPost a émis, le 22 novembre 2013, une intéressante série de 5 timbres (1st Local  à 1,10$) évoquant différentes étapes de l'évolution de l'offre télévisuelle depuis 1963.
J'ai eu la chance de recevoir le FDC officiel ci-dessous concernant cette série complète, conçue par Eric Kong (Design Vizio) et imprimée par le néerlandais Joh Enschedé Security Print (avec application d'un vernis spécial sur chaque timbre).

On May 5, 1923, Radio Singapura issued its first radio broadcasts and on February 15, 1963, before the withdrawal of the British troops, the first television service was created by TV Singapura.
To commemorate these 50 years of television in the country, SingPost has issued on November 22, 2013, an interesting series of 5 stamps (from 1st Local to $ 1.10) suggesting different stages of the evolution of the television offer since 1963.
I was lucky to receive the nice official FDC below regarding that complete set, designed by Eric Kong (Design Vizio) and printed by the Dutch Joh Enschedé Security Print (with application of special UV spot varnish on each stamp).

Ces 5 timbres, à décrypter chronologiquement de droite à gauche, évoquent respectivement la création de la 1ère chaine de télévision en noir et blanc en 1963 (1,5% de la population locale possédait alors un écran TV...), les premières retransmissions de matchs de football, les premières séries animées (pour chaque communauté du pays), le début de la télévision connectée et enfin l'arrivée de la haute définition et des nombreux services associés.
En 2012, la société MediaCorp exploitait sept stations de télévision et 14 stations de radio, ce qui en faisait le plus important groupe de diffusion publique de Singapour.
Pour ce 50ème anniversaire, la télévision va utilisé un réseau digital (en remplacement du réseau analogique) et toutes les chaînes gratuites vont être concernées d'ici la fin de l'année 2013...
A noter enfin qu'une exposition consacrée à ces 50 ans de télévision est organisée jusqu'au 19 janvier 2014 au musée national de Singapour.
These five stamps, that have to be decrypted chronologically from right to left, are respectively featuring the creation of the first black and white television channel in 1963 (1.5 % of households in Singapore owned then a TV set...), the first broadcasts of football matches, the first animated series (for each community in the country), the beginning of the connected TV and finally the arrival of high definition and all the related services.
In 2012, the company MediaCorp operated seven TV channels and 14 radio stations, making it the largest media broadcaster and provider in Singapore.
For this 50th anniversary, the TV will switch to a digital network (replacing the analogue network) and all the free-to-air channels will be concerned by the end of 2013...
It's worth noting that an exhibition dedicated to these 50 years of television is held until January 19, 2014 at the National Museum of Singapore.
