La poste de Malaisie avait prévu d'émettre en 2013 un bloc-feuillet intitulé "Persembahan Filateli Diraja" ("Hommage philatélique royal") consacré au sultan de l'état de Terengganu, situé sur la côte orientale de la péninsule malaise.
Pour des raisons techniques, ce bloc n'a pas été mis en circulation en 2013 et, à la surprise générale, a été émis lors de l'exposition philatélique mondiale de la jeunesse organisée du 1er au 6 décembre 2014 à Kuala Lumpur.
Autre surprise, deux versions de ce bloc-feuillet ont en fait été émises le 5 décembre 2014, une version perforée et une version non perforée !
J'ai eu la chance de recevoir les 2 jolis plis ci-dessous, envoyés le 22 décembre 2014 d'Ipoh (état de Perak), affranchis respectivement avec les 2 versions de ce bloc. Merci beaucoup Khor :-)
The Post of Malaysia had planned to issue in 2013 a souvenir sheet entitled "Persembahan Filateli Diraja" ("Royal Philatelic Tribute") devoted to the Sultan of the state of Terengganu, located on the eastern coast of the Malay Peninsula.
For technical reasons, this sheet has not been put into circulation in 2013 and, to everyone's surprise, was issued during the World Youth Stamp Exhibition organized from 1 to 6 December 2014 in Kuala Lumpur.
Another surprise, two versions of this souvenir sheet were actually issued on December 5, 2014, a perforated version and an imperforate version !
I was lucky enough to receive the two nice covers below, sent on December 22, 2014 from Ipoh (state of Perak), franked respectively with the two versions of this sheet. Thank you very much Khor :-)
La version perforée de ce bloc, composé de 3 timbres (30 sen, 50 sen, 1 RM), figure sur le pli ci-dessus ainsi qu'une paire de timbres faisant partie d'une série (10 timbres) émis le 31 juillet 1999, consacrée à des plantes et poissons d'eau douce, un gourami grogneur (Trichopsis vittatus) et Monochoria hastata ici.
Les 3 timbres de ce bloc-feuillet rendent donc hommage à Mizan Zainal Abidin (né en 1962), sultan de l'état de Terengganu depuis 1998, en incluant chacun son portrait.
Je suppose que ce bloc était initialement prévu en 2013 pour célébrer les 15 ans de son couronnement ?
Cette année 2013 a d'ailleurs été conservée dans la marge en haut à droite alors que les armoiries du sultan figurent en haut à gauche.
A noter que ces 3 timbres sont quasiment identiques à ceux qui avaient déjà été émis en 1999, vive le recyclage ph
The perforated version of that sheet, consisting of 3 stamps (30 sen, 50 sen, 1 RM), was used on the envelope above as well as a pair of stamps being part of a series (10 stamps) issued on July 31, 1999, devoted to freshwater fish and plants, a croaking gourami (Trichopsis vittatus) and Monochoria hastata here.
The 3 stamps of this souvenir sheet so pay tribute to Mizan Zainal Abidin (born 1962), Sultan of the state of Terengganu since 1998, including each his portrait.
I guess that sheet was originally planned in 2013 to celebrate the 15th anniversary of his coronation ?
This year 2013 has also been retained in the top right margin while the arms of the Sultan appear in the upper left.
To note that these 3 stamps are almost identical to those that had already been issued in 1999, a kind of philatelic recycling !
Mizan Zainal Abidin a également été élu en 2006 (pour un mandat de 5 ans) 13ème roi de Malaisie (Yang di-Pertuan Agong). Il fut alors le 2ème plus jeune monarque (44 ans) à monter sur le trône dans l'histoire du pays.
Sur la version non perforée de ce bloc ci-dessus (je ne connais pas le tirage exact de ce bloc ?), les 2 timbres à gauche montrent le sultan à côté de l'Istana Maziah (vus actuelle et vue en 1903, l'année de son inauguration), le palais officiel du sultan situé à Kuala Terengganu, la capitale de cet état.
Le 3ème timbre à droite montre une vue de nuit de la mosquée Tengku Tengah Zaharah, surnommée la "mosquée flottante" car construite en 1995 sur l'estuaire de la rivière Kuala Ibai, à 4 km de Kuala Terengganu.
Mizan Zainal Abidin was also elected in 2006 (for a term of 5 years) 13th King of Malaysia (Yang di-Pertuan Agong). He was then the second youngest monarch (44) acceding to the throne in the history of the country.
On the imperforate version of that souvenir sheet above (I do not know the exact print run of this version ?), the 2 stamps on the left show the Sultan next to Istana Maziah (a current view and a view dating from 1903, its inaugural year), the official palace of the Sultan, located in Kuala Terengganu, the capital of this state.
The third stamp on the right features a night view of the Tengku Tengah Zaharah Mosque, nicknamed the "Floating Mosque" as built in 1995 on the estuary of Kuala Ibai river, 4 km from Kuala Terengganu.
