Suite à la signature des accords d'Oslo entre l'état d'Israël et l'Organisation de Libération de la Palestine (OLP), l'Autorité nationale palestinienne a été autorisée à émettre ses propres timbres à partir de 1994.
A short post to evoke this interesting letter sent on February 6, 2017 from the city of Rafah, located in the southern Gaza Strip, on the border with Egypt. Thank you very much Muhammad!
Following the signing of the Oslo Accords between the State of Israel and the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), the Palestinian National Authority was authorized to issue its own stamps from 1994.
Le 1er septembre 1994 (des enveloppes circulent avec un TAD Premier Jour du 15 août 1994), 5 timbres ont été mis en circulation, incluant la mention "Autorité Palestinienne" en anglais et arabe, représentant le drapeau national.
Ces 5 timbres (3 formats différents), émis chacun en feuillet de 10 timbres, ont été imprimés en Allemagne par Bundesdruckerei Berlin et conçus par Bernd Görs (qui a créé de nombreux timbres pour Berlin-Ouest ou la poste allemande dans les années 1980).
Deux timbres de cette 1ère série (150 et 250 mils) ont été utilisés sur la lettre ci-dessus.
On September 1, 1994 (envelopes are circulating with a FDC cancellation of August 15, 1994), 5 stamps were issued, including the mention "The Palestinian Authority" in English and Arabic, featuring the national flag.
These 5 stamps (3 different sizes), each issued in sheet of 10 stamps, were printed in Germany by Bundesdruckerei Berlin and designed by Bernd Görs (who created many stamps for West Berlin or the German Post in the 1980s).
Two stamps of this first series (150 and 250 Mils) were used on the letter above.
