Le charmant parc central "Ștefan cel Mare și Sfânt", portant le nom du voïvode Étienne le Grand et le Saint (1457-1504), héros national, fête cette année le 200ème anniversaire de sa fondation, au coeur de Chișinău, la capitale moldave.
Appelé anciennement parc Pouchkine (un monument avec le buste du poète et romancier russe est situé dans ce parc), ce parc (7 hectares), surnommé "le parc des amoureux", est considéré comme le plus vieux parc de Chișinău, avec près de 50 essences d'arbres différentes.
Pour célébrer ce 200ème anniversaire, la poste moldave a mis en circulation, le 2 juillet 2018, sa 1ère carte pré-timbrée de l'année (n° 01/2018, tirage : 1500, conception : Lilian Iațco), avec valeur faciale de 1,30 L (tarif domestique pour un envoi "simple" d'une carte postale).
The charming "Ştefan cel Mare şi Sfânt" central park, named after the voivode Stephen the Great and Holy (1457-1504), national hero, celebrates this year the 200th anniversary of its foundation, in the heart of Chişinău, the Moldovan capital.
Called formerly Pushkin Park (a monument with the Russian novelist and poet's bust is located in this park), this park (7 hectares), nicknamed "the Park of the Lovers", is considered the oldest park in Chişinău, with around 50 different tree species.
To commemorate this 200th anniversary, the Post of Moldova has put into circulation, on July 2, 2018, its first prepaid postcard of the year (No. 01/2018, print run: 1,500, design: Lilian Iaţco), with a nominal value of L 1.30 (domestic rate for a "simple" postcard).

Le timbre pré-imprimé ci-dessus représente la statue d'Étienne le Grand située devant l'entrée principale de ce parc. Cette statue en bronze, œuvre du sculpteur Alexandru Plamădeală, a été inaugurée en 1928. Elle fut ensuite plusieurs fois démontée et déplacée avant d'être réinstallée à sa place initiale à la fin des années 1990. Pour concevoir ce monument, Plamădeală se serait inspiré d'une miniature représentant le voïvode datant de 1475, située dans le monastère de Humor (Roumanie).
Nicolae a complété son affranchissement, pour atteindre le tarif en vigueur pour un envoi non prioritaire de moins de 20g vers la France (9,50 L actuellement) avec 2 autres timbres ci-dessus.
Le timbre à 7,50 L fait partie d'une série courante (6 timbres), émise le 8 août 1992, représentant différentes espèces d'oiseaux, dont la Huppe fasciée (Upupa epops) ici.
L'autre timbre (0,70 L) fait partie d'une série (4 timbres) émise le 20 mai 2011, consacrée à des fleurs des jardins, une jacinthe ici.

The pre-printed stamp above represents the statue of Stephen the Great located in front of the main entrance of this park. This bronze statue by the sculptor Alexandru Plămădeală was inaugurated in 1928. It was then dismantled and moved several times before being reinstalled in its original place in the late 1990s. To design this monument, Plămădeală would have been inspired by a miniature featuring the voivode dating from 1475, located in the Humor Monastery (now in Romania).
Nicolae has completed its postage, to reach the current rate for a non priority shipment up to 20g to France (L 9.50) with 2 other stamps above.
The L 7.50 stamp is part of a definitive series (6 stamps), issued on August 8, 1992, depicting different bird species, including the Hoopoe (Upupa epops) here.
The other stamp (L 0.70) is part of a series (4 stamps) issued ON May 20, 2011, devoted to garden's flowers, a hyacinth here.

Cette "Allée des Classiques de la littérature roumaine", inaugurée en 1957 (avec 12 bustes) dans ce parc, est constituée aujourd'hui de 27 bustes consacrés à des personnalités politiques ou de la littérature (Vasile Alecsandri, Dimitrie Cantemir, Ion Creangă, Mihai Eminescu, Alexei Mateevici, Grigore Vieru...) et constitue une des principales attractions touristiques du centre de la capitale moldave.

This "Alley of the Classics of Romanian Literature", inaugurated in 1957 (with 12 busts) in this park, today consists of 27 busts dedicated to political or literature personalities (Vasile Alecsandri, Dimitrie Cantemir, Ion Creangă, Mihai Eminescu, Alexei Mateevici, Grigore Vieru ...) and is one of the main tourist attractions in the center of the Moldovan capital.
