Le 10 juin 2017, le célèbre réalisateur de film, photographe et défenseur de l'environnement taïwanais Chi Po-lin (1964-2017) décédait dans un accident d'hélicoptère alors qu'il enregistrait des images pour la suite de son film documentaire "Beyond Beauty: Taiwan from Above" (2013).
Ce film, constitué de photographies aériennes, a pour but de rappeler la nécessité d'engager des réformes pour la préservation de l'environnement à Taïwan.
Le 8 juin 2018, la Chunghwa Post de Taïwan a mis en circulation un splendide bloc-feuillet (4 timbres) intitulé "Taïwan vu d'en haut", reproduisant des photographies aériennes prises par Chi Po-lin dans différentes parties de l'île.
On June 10, 2017, the famous Taiwanese filmmaker, photographer and environmentalist Chi Po-lin (1964-2017) died in a helicopter crash while shooting footage for the sequel to his documentary film "Beyond Beauty: Taiwan from Above" (2013).
This film, made up of aerial photographs, aims to highlight the need to initiate reforms for the preservation of the environment in Taiwan.
On June 8, 2018, Taiwan's Chunghwa Post put into circulation a splendid souvenir sheet (4 stamps) entitled "Taiwan from the Air", reproducing aerial photographs taken by Chi Po-lin in different parts of the island.

A noter ce cachet violet (traces de pas) évoquant une exposition organisée du 8 juin au 2 septembre 2018 dans ce même musée, consacrée à la beauté du pays à travers des photographies de Chi Po-lin.
Les 4 timbres de ce bloc-feuillet représentent respectivement un troupeau de bétail sur le Mont Dajian, Hengchun (sud de l'île), dans le comté de Pingtung (8 NT$), une chorale d'enfants aborigènes sur le mont Jade (centre du pays, point culminant de l'île à 3952 mètres d'altitude) dans le comté de Nantou (9 NT$), soleil couchant sur les fermes piscicoles à Yongan (côte sud-ouest de l'île), Kaohsiung (13 NT$) et des empreintes géantes dans des rizières à Yuli (centre-est de l'île), dans le comté de Hualien (15 NT$).

The 4 stamps of this souvenir sheet represent respectively a cattle on Mount Dajian, Hengchun (south of the island), in Pingtung County (NT $ 8), an aboriginal children's choir on Mount Jade (center of the country, highest point of the island at 3,952 meters above sea level) in Nantou County (NT $ 9), a setting sun over fish farms in Yongan (south-west coast of the island), Kaohsiung (NT $ 13) and giant footprints in paddy fields at Yuli (central eastern part of the island), in Hualien County (NT $ 15).
