A noter l'élégant TAD Premier Jour avec cette silhouette de cochon souriant, ainsi que le cachet spécial en bas à gauche, également daté du 4 janvier 2019, annonçant les prémices de cette nouvelle année du cochon.
Ce cachet évoque une tirelire en forme de cochon, une nouvelle année lunaire étant symbole de renouveau, de chance et de bonne fortune.

To note the elegant First Day cancellation with this silhouette of a smiling pig, as well as the special cachet at the bottom left, also dated January 4, 2019, announcing the ushering of this New Year of the Pig.
This cachet evokes a piggy bank, a lunar new year being a symbol of renewal, luck and good fortune.
La SingPost a à nouveau fait appel à Leo Teck Chong (qui a signé sur cette enveloppe en bas à gauche) pour concevoir cette série de 3 timbres (ci-dessus) ainsi qu'un bloc-feuillet (2 timbres), ce dernier (imprimé en France par Cartor Security Printing) incluant un vernis spécial et encre iridescente.
L'année 2019 (à partir du 5 février) est donc sous le signe du cochon (le 12ème animal du cycle) associé à l'élément "terre".
D'après l'astrologie chinoise, les caractéristiques de chaque signe révèlent la personnalité des personnes mais aussi leurs vies ou les évènements se produisant dans l'année. Ainsi, les individus nés sous le signe du cochon de terre sont respectés pour leur intégrité et fiabilité, de nature gentille, sensibles et réalistes.

The SingPost again appealed to Leo Teck Chong (who signed on the envelope on the bottom left) to design this series of 3 stamps (above) as well as a souvenir sheet (2 stamps) printed in France by Cartor Security Printing, including a special varnish and iridescent ink.
The year 2019 (from February 5th) is thus under the sign of the Pig (the 12th animal of the cycle) associated with the element "Earth".
According to Chinese astrology, the traits of each sign shape the personality of people but also their lives or the events occurring in the year. Thus, people born under the sign of the Earth Pig are respected for their integrity and reliability, have a kind nature, are sensitive and realistic.
