Le 7 décembre 2018, la Kyrgyz Express Post (KEP) a mis en circulation une très jolie série (4 timbres) consacrée au Livre Rouge du Kirghizstan, en particulier 4 espèces animales menacées qui en font partie, le putois marbré (50 KGS, Vormela peregusna), le chat de Pallas (75 KGS, Otocolobus manul), le lynx du Tibet (100 KGS, Lynx lynx isabellinus) et l'ours Isabelle (150 KGS, Ursus arctos isabellinus).
Ce Livre Rouge indique que 15% des espèces de mammifères et 10% des espèces d'oiseaux recensées au Kirghizistan sont en voie d'extinction, soit environ 92 espèces d'animaux menacées (insectes, poissons, reptiles, oiseaux et mammifères) mais aussi 65 types de plantes.
On December 7, 2018, the Kyrgyz Express Post (KEP) put into circulation a very nice series (4 stamps) devoted to the Red Book of the Kyrgyz Republic, in particular 4 endangered animal species that are part of it, the marbled polecat (50 KGS, Vormela peregusna), the Pallas's cat (75 KGS, Otocolobus manul), the Turkestan lynx (100 KGS, Lynx lynx isabellinus) and the Himalayan brown bear (150 KGS, Ursus arctos isabellinus).
This Red Book indicates that 15% of mammal species and 10% of bird species in Kyrgyzstan are endangered, representing about 92 species of threatened animals (insects, fish, reptiles, birds and mammals) but also 65 types of plants.

Une 5ème espèce incluse dans ce Livre Rouge, le cerf élaphe d'Asie ou maral (Cervus elaphus asiaticus), est représentée à gauche sur cette enveloppe.
Ces 4 timbres (tirage : 8000 chacun) représentent chacun l'animal en entier dans son environnement avec un détail de la tête à gauche.
Le putois marbré est une espèce, considérée comme vulnérable par l'UICN à cause de la destruction de son habitat, qui fréquente les zones semi-désertiques à désertiques et les steppes du centre de l'Eurasie.
Le chat de Pallas ou manul vit dans les steppes froides et arides d'Asie centrale, jadis chassé pour sa fourrure et aujourd'hui protégé par la loi au Kirghizstan.

The marbled polecat is a species, considered vulnerable by IUCN because of the destruction of its habitat, which frequents the semi-desert to desert areas and the steppes of central Eurasia.
The Pallas's cat or manul lives in the cold and arid steppes of Central Asia, once hunted for its fur and now protected by law in Kyrgyzstan.
Le lynx du Tibet, sous-espèce du lynx boréal, est endémique de l'Asie centrale et considéré comme vulnérable par l'UICN.
L'ours Isabelle, vivant dans la région de l'Himalaya, est connu pour avoir probablement inspiré la légende du yéti.
La KEP a mis en circulation les 4 cartes maximum ci-dessus (tirage : 300 chacune) concernant les 4 timbres de cette série, reproduisant les dessins originaux de Vladimir Melnic ayant inspirés cette série.
The Turkestan lynx, a subspecies of the Eurasian lynx, is endemic to Central Asia and considered vulnerable by IUCN.
The Himalayan brown bear, living in the region of the Himalayas, is known to have probably inspired the legend of the Yeti.
KEP has put into circulation the 4 maxicards above (print run: 300 each) for the 4 stamps of this series, reproducing the original drawings by Vladimir Melnic that inspired this series.
Ces 4 timbres ont été imprimés (par Nova Imprim en Moldavie) chacun en feuillet (voir ci-dessus) composé de 5 timbres + 1 vignette (tirage : 1200 feuillets pour chaque timbre).
Les 4 vignettes comportent le nom de l'espèce animale en anglais et russe (nom en kirghize et latin sur les timbres).
Le joli bloc-feuillet ci-dessous (tirage : 2000) incluant les 4 timbres de cette série, a également été mis en circulation.
These 4 stamps were printed (by Nova Imprim in Moldova) each in sheet (see above) consisting of 5 stamps + 1 label (print run: 1200 sheets for each stamp).
The 4 labels contain the name of the animal species in English and Russian (name in Kyrgyz and Latin on the stamps).
The beautiful souvenir sheet below (print run: 2000) including the 4 stamps of this series, was also put into circulation.
