La poste luxembourgeoise avait mis en circulation, le 15 mai 2018, une très jolie série (3 timbres) consacrée à différentes espèces d'oiseaux rares du pays.
Cette série, qui va se poursuivre jusqu'en 2020, a été conçue en collaboration avec "natur&ëmwelt" (12000 membres), une association qui œuvre pour la sauvegarde de la biodiversité dans un paysage naturel et culturel varié à travers le Luxembourg.
La série EUROPA (2 timbres), émise le 7 mai 2019, s'inscrit dans cette série, le thème des "oiseaux nationaux" choisi par PostEurop ayant été remplacé par "oiseaux rares", avec un focus sur le bruant jaune (0,80€) et la linotte mélodieuse (1,05€).
Je ne sais pas si c'est officiel mais le roitelet huppé (Regulus regulus) est considéré comme l'oiseau national du Luxembourg.
Ces 2 timbres EUROPA figurent sur le FDC officiel ci-dessous, avec TAD de Luxembourg (L-1000). Merci beaucoup Dimitri !
On May 15, 2018, the Luxembourg Post had put into circulation a very nice series (3 stamps) devoted to different species of rare birds of the country.
This series, which will continue until 2020, was conceived in collaboration with "natur&ëmwelt" (12,000 members), an association that works to safeguard biodiversity in a varied natural and cultural landscape throughout Luxembourg.
The EUROPA set (2 stamps), issued on May 7, 2019, is part of this series, the theme of "national birds" chosen by PostEurop having been replaced by "rare birds", with a focus on the yellowhammer (€ 0.80) and the common linnet (€ 1.05).
I do not know if it's official but goldcrest (Regulus regulus) is considered as the national bird of Luxembourg.

Comme pour les 3 timbres émis en 2018, ces 2 timbres, imprimés chacun en feuillet de 10 timbres, ont été conçus par l'artiste Johan de Crem (né en 1962 en Belgique) et imprimés en France par Cartor Security Printing, en trame 800 (une première mondiale en 2018) et aléatoire.
Parmi les 300 espèces d'oiseaux répertoriées dans le Grand-Duché de Luxembourg, le bruant jaune (Emberiza citrinella) et la linotte mélodieuse (Linaria cannabina) sont 2 espèces de passereaux en déclin (comme dans toute l'Europe), en particulier à cause de la pollution et la destruction de leur habitat.
As for the three stamps issued in 2018, these two stamps, each printed in a sheet of 10 stamps, were designed by the artist Johan de Crem (born in 1962 in Belgium) and printed in France by Cartor Security Printing, with a 800 frame (a world first in 2018) and random printing technique.
Among the 300 species of birds listed in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, the yellowhammer (Emberiza citrinella) and the common linnet (Linaria cannabina) are two species of passerines in decline (as in all of Europe), especially in cause of pollution and destruction of their habitat.

A noter également sur cette enveloppe, en bas à gauche, le cachet spécial mis en circulation par la poste luxembourgeoise pendant les 3 jours (du 9 au 11 mai 2019) de l'exposition philatélique internationale ("Internationale Briefmarken-Messe") organisée à Essen en Allemagne.

To note the mention "CEE App" in the margins on the left, reminding that the Luxembourg Post is participating, like 20 other European postal administrations, in the "Europa Bird Stamps 2019" project consisting in scanning the stamps (via a free CEE-Application) to listen to the birds singing.

Merci enfin à Tristan pour cette 3ème lettre ci-dessus, envoyée depuis le bureau postal de Luxembourg-Belair le 28 mai 2019, incluant également ces 2 timbres EUROPA à gauche ainsi qu'un des 3 timbres (0,70€ - hirondelle rustique) de la série de 2018 à droite, avec logo de l'exposition philatélique internationale "Birdpex 2018" dans les marges.
Le bruant jaune a également été choisi sur le timbre EUROPA 2019 émis en Allemagne alors qu'une linotte mélodieuse figure sur un des 2 timbres EUROPA 2019 émis par la poste de Guernesey.
Thanks finally to Tristan for this 3rd letter above, sent from the Luxembourg-Belair post office on May 28, 2019, including also these two EUROPA stamps on the left as well as one of the 3 stamps (€ 0.70 - barn swallow) from the 2018 series on the right, with the logo of the international philatelic exhibition "Birdpex 2018" in the margins.
The yellowhammer has also been chosen to be featured on the EUROPA 2019 stamp issued in Germany while a common linnet is depicted on one of the two EUROPA 2019 stamps issued by the Guernsey Post.
