Le 6 septembre 2019, la poste moldave a mis en circulation un nouveau timbre (5,75 L, tirage : 150000, conception : Vitaliu Pogolșa) dans le cadre d'une série intitulée "Découvrez la Moldavie", avec un focus cette fois sur les festivals, en particulier le festival international d'opéra et de ballet "Maria Bieşu".
La 27ème édition de ce festival avait lieu à Chișinău du 6 au 15 septembre 2019 dans le Théâtre National d'Opéra et de Ballet (inauguré en 1957 et reconstruit en 1980), l'un des plus importants lieux culturels en Europe de l'Est qui porte (depuis 2012) le nom de la célèbre chanteuse d'opéra moldave Maria Bieșu (1935-2012), l'une des plus brillantes artistes moldaves contemporaines.
Maria Bieşu, professeur universitaire, académicienne, prima donna de l'Opéra National de Moldavie et lauréate d'un grand nombre de prix internationaux, fut décorée de l'Ordre de la République en 1992, la plus haute distinction de la République de Moldavie.
On September 6, 2019, the Post of Moldova issued a new stamp (5.75 L, print run: 150,000, design: Vitaliu Pogolşa) as part of a series entitled "Discover Moldova", with a focus this time on festivals, in particular the International Opera and Ballet Festival "Maria Bieşu".
The 27th edition of this festival took place in Chişinău from 6 to 15 September 2019 in the National Opera and Ballet Theatre (inaugurated in 1957 and rebuilt in 1980), one of the most important cultural venues in Eastern Europe, bearing (since 2012) the name of the famous Moldovan opera singer Maria Bieşu (1935-2012), one of the most brilliant contemporary Moldovan artists.
Maria Bieşu, university professor, academician, prima donna of the National Opera of Moldova and winner of many international contests, was awarded the Order of the Republic in 1992, the highest honor of the Republic of Moldova.
Maria Bieşu débuta sa carrière artistique en 1960 en Moldavie mais son talent de chanteuse d'opéra éclate à partir de 1965 lorsqu'elle effectue un stage à la Scala de Milan et joue ses premiers grands rôles en italien, dans les opéras "Aïda" et "Il Trovatore" de Verdi ou "Madame Butterfly" de Puccini.
Elle participe alors à de nombreux festivals et concours internationaux et remporte en particulier le titre de meilleure "Cio-Cio-San" (le 1er rôle de soprano dans l'opéra "Madame Butterfly") du monde en 1967, lors du concours international de canto "Miura Tamaki".
Maria Bieșu est représentée dans ce rôle sur l'illustration à gauche sur ce splendide FDC officiel ci-dessus (tirage : 300) concernant ce nouveau timbre, avec TAD de Chișinău (MD-2012). Merci beaucoup Nicolae !
Ce timbre reproduit le logo de ce festival international d'opéra et de ballet "Maria Bieşu", composé à partir des lettres MB, également présent sur le 2ème TAD en haut à gauche sur cette enveloppe, proposé par la poste moldave pendant toute la durée de cette manifestation culturelle.
Maria Bieşu began her artistic career in 1960 in Moldova but her opera singing's talent burst from 1965 when she worked at the La Scala theatre in Milan and played her first major roles in Italian, in the operas "Aida" and "Il Trovatore" by Verdi or "Madama Butterfly" by Puccini.
She then participated in many festivals and international competitions, winning in particular the title of best "Cio-Cio-San" (the first soprano role in the opera "Madama Butterfly") in the world in 1967 at the International "Miura Tamaki" canto contest.
Maria Bieşu is featured in this role on the illustration on the left of this splendid official FDC above (print run: 300) regarding this new stamp, with postmark from Chişinău (MD-2012). Thank you very much Nicolae!

Ce festival 2019 a commencé par le célèbre opéra "Norma" de Vincenzo Bellini, dirigé par le chef d'orchestre Nicolae Dohotaru, directeur artistique du Théâtre National d'Opéra et de Ballet et artiste du peuple ("Artist al Poporului").
La programmation comprenait huit représentations de haut niveau artistique: quatre œuvres d'opéra ("Norma" de Bellini, "Un bal masqué" et "Rigoletto" de Verdi, "Turandot" de Puccini), trois ballets (Lac des Cygnes, La Belle au bois dormant, Don Quichotte) et un concert de gala.
Ce nouveau timbre a été imprimé dans un élégant feuillet composé de 6 timbres avec une marge à droite représentant également Maria Bieşu dans son célèbre rôle de "Cio-Cio-San" (ci-dessus à gauche sur l'autre côté de cette enveloppe).
This 2019 Festival began with Vincenzo Bellini's famous opera "Norma", directed by conductor Nicolae Dohotaru, artistic director of the National Opera and Ballet Theatre.
The program included eight high-level performances: four operatic works (Bellini's "Norma", Verdi's "Masked Ball" and "Rigoletto", Puccini's "Turandot"), three ballets (Swan Lake, The Sleeping Beauty, Don Quixote) and a gala concert.
This new stamp was printed in an elegant minisheet consisting of 6 stamps with a margin to the right also depicting Maria Bieşu in her famous role of "Cio-Cio-San" (above to the left on the other side of this envelope).
