Les pays membres du Marché Commun du Sud (Mercosur en espagnol, Mercosul en portugais), une communauté économique et politique regroupant plusieurs pays sud-américains, ont pris l'habitude d'émettre chaque année depuis 1997 des timbres ayant un thème commun.
Après le thème des papillons en 2016, des transports publics en 2017, des musées nationaux en 2018, le thème choisi en 2019, la diversité des champignons, a été normalement décliné dans les 4 pays suivants : Brésil, Argentine, Paraguay et Uruguay.
Le Vénézuela, membre depuis 2012 puis suspendu depuis fin 2016 et la Bolivie, en cours d'adhésion, n'ont pas participé en 2019 a priori.
Le 5 juin 2019, la poste brésilienne Correios a mis en circulation 6 timbres pour illustrer cette thématique de la diversité des champignons ("Diversidade de Fungos").

Venezuela, member since 2012 and suspended since the end of 2016 and Bolivia, in the process of accession, did not participate in 2019 it seems.
On June 5, 2019, the Brazilian Post Correios put into circulation 6 stamps to illustrate this theme of the diversity of fungi ("Diversidade de Fungos").
Merci beaucoup Marcelo pour cette jolie lettre envoyée le 3 octobre 2019 depuis São Paulo (SPM = São Paulo Metropolitan), affranchie avec ces 6 timbres Mercosul 2019, avec TAD Premier Jour de São Paulo (le même TAD a également mis en circulation à Curitiba et Manaus).
Ces 6 timbres (1,60 R$, tirage : 40000 chacun) ont été conçus par Daniel Effi à partir de photographies de l'institut botanique et imprimés dans une même feuille de 24 timbres (4 de chaque).
Cette série illustre la diversité (forme, couleur) des types de champignons au Brésil avec 3 timbres de format vertical, Clathrus chrysomycelinus (découvert au 19ème siècle dans l'état de Santa Catarina), Hydnopolyporus fimbriatus (présent sur tout le territoire brésilien) et Clathrus columnatus et 3 timbres de format horizontal, Geastrum violaceum (découvert dans la région de São Leopoldo), Laetiporus gilbertsonii (forêt atlantique de l'état de São Paulo) et Oudemansiella cubensis (présent sur tout le territoire brésilien).
Le logo officiel du Mercosur (constellation de la Croix du Sud) est inclus très discrètement sur chacun de ces 6 timbres.
Thank you very much Marcelo for this nice letter sent on October 3, 2019 from São Paulo (SPM = São Paulo Metropolitan), franked with these 6 Mercosul 2019 stamps, with First Day cancellation from São Paulo (the same postmark was also put into circulation in Curitiba and Manaus).
These six stamps (R $ 1.60, print run: 40,000 each) were designed by Daniel Effi from photographs of the botanical institute and printed on a unique sheet of 24 stamps (four of each).
This series illustrates the diversity (shape, color) of the mushroom types in Brazil with 3 vertical format stamps, Clathrus chrysomycelinus (discovered in the 19th century in the state of Santa Catarina), Hydnopolyporus fimbriatus (present throughout the Brazilian territory) and Clathrus columnatus and 3 horizontal format stamps, Geastrum violaceum (discovered in the region of São Leopoldo), Laetiporus gilbertsonii (Atlantic forest of the state of São Paulo) and Oudemansiella cubensis (present throughout the Brazilian territory).
The official Mercosur logo (constellation of the Southern Cross) is included very discreetly on each of these 6 stamps.
