Qui dit Pâques dit chocolat donc heureux de partager cette lettre envoyée le 14 août 2019 depuis Bruges (je n'ai pas réussi à déchiffrer précisément le nom de la commune sur l'oblitération mécanique...), affranchie avec un timbre évoquant une tablette de chocolat. Merci beaucoup François !
Comme en France, Suisse ou Allemagne, le chocolat est très apprécié en Belgique (plus de 500 chocolatiers y sont répertoriés), le 2ème pays exportateur dans le monde, derrière l'Allemagne.
L'Allemagne, la Belgique et la Suisse sont également les 3 pays où les habitants consomment le plus de chocolat (entre 10 et 11 kilos par an), la France n'étant que 5ème (7 à 8 kilos par an).

Ce timbre au tarif permanent "1 Monde" (1,77€ actuellement, à partir de 5 timbres achetés, pour un envoi normalisé entre 0 et 50g) ne fait pas partie du programme officiel de la poste belge bpost.
Il s'agit d'un type de timbre appelé "timbre-poste thématique", mis en circulation à partir de 2015 en Belgique, imprimé en version autocollante, en carnet de 10 ou 5 timbres.
Le timbre ci-dessus a été émis en juin 2015 dans un carnet "This is Belgium" composé de 5 timbres évoquant différents symboles du pays : le chocolat, le Manneken-Pis, la bière, l'Atomium de Bruxelles et les frites.
Ce type de carnet est sans aucun doute destinés aux touristes pour les envois de cartes postales en particulier.
La poste belge a déjà émis de nombreux timbres officiels dans le passé sur cette thématique du chocolat : 1999, 2006 ou 2013 (bloc-feuillet composé de 5 timbres avec gomme aromatisée au chocolat).

This type of booklet is undoubtedly intended for tourists for sending postcards in particular.
