100 ans de football et histoire postale (Istrie - Littoral slovène) sur lettre de Slovénie
Après la 2ème guerre mondiale, lorsque les unités militaires yougoslaves et alliées qui avaient libéré le Littoral ont divisé le territoire en deux zones administratives, la partie yougoslave décida d'émettre ses propres timbres sur son territoire (zone B).
En juin et juillet 1945, des timbres de la République sociale italienne ("République de Salò") ont été réutilisés avec différentes mentions surimprimées. Les 4 premiers timbres avec mention "Istrie - Littoral slovène" (en italien et slovène) ont été émis le 15 août 1945, suivis par 6 autres timbres émis en décembre 1945, dont un représente une branche d'olivier.
C'est ce timbre (1,50 L) qui est reproduit sur le timbre à droite sur cette lettre, envoyée le 28 juillet 2020 depuis Ljubljana. Merci beaucoup Petra!
Immediately after the armistice that ended WWI, the Italian army occupied Istria and the Slovene Littoral. Under the Treaty of Rapallo signed in 1920, these areas were allocated to the Kingdom of Italy.
After the 2nd World War, when the Yugoslav and Allied military units which had liberated the Littoral divided the territory into two administrative zones, the Yugoslav side decided to issue its own stamps on its territory (zone B).
In June and July 1945, stamps of the Italian Social Republic ("Republic of Salò") were reused with various overprinted mentions. The first 4 stamps with the mention "Istria - Slovene Littoral" (in Italian and Slovene) were issued on August 15, 1945, followed by 6 other stamps issued in December 1945, one of which depicting an olive branch.
It is that stamp (1.50 L) which is reproduced on the stamp on the right on this letter below, sent on July 28, 2020 from Ljubljana. Thank you very much Petra!
Ce timbre (tarif domestique B pour un envoi jusqu'à 50g - 0,69€ actuellement, tirage : 40000), conçu par Marko Prah, émis le 13 juillet 2020, commémore le 75ème anniversaire de l'émission de ces premiers timbres avec mention "Istrie - Littoral slovène". Ce timbre est intéressant car il montre également le découpage en 2 zones de cette région à l'époque, la zone B étant aujourd'hui partagée entre la Croatie et la Slovénie.
Le bloc-feuillet rond ci-dessus à gauche (tarif international standard C - 1,22€ actuellement, tirage : 30000), conçu par l'agence Zadruga.traparij, est consacré au 100ème anniversaire du football en Slovénie.
La pratique du football existait bien avant 1920 mais cette émission marque les 100 ans de la création de la sous-association de football de Ljubljana, transformée plus tard en fédération slovène de football (Nogometna zveza Slovenije - NZS).
Malgré sa petite taille et faible population, la Slovénie s'est illustrée depuis l'indépendance en 1991, participant à 2 reprises à une coupe du monde de football et 1 fois au championnat d'Europe. Et le président actuel de l'UEFA, Aleksander Čeferin, est de nationalité slovène.

The practice of football existed long before 1920 but this issue marks the 100th anniversary of the creation of the Ljubljana Football Sub-Association, later transformed into the Slovene Football Federation (Nogometna zveza Slovenije - NZS).
Despite its small size and population, Slovenia has distinguished itself since independence in 1991, participating twice in a football world cup and once in the European championship. And the current UEFA president, Aleksander Čeferin, is of Slovene nationality.
