Pour rappel, 51 pays ont fondé l'Organisation des Nations Unies en 1945 suite à la ratification de la Charte des Nations Unies à San Francisco le le 24 octobre 1945.
Le Pakistan est membre des Nations Unies depuis le 30 septembre 1947 et l'administration postale du pays a mis en circulation, le 24 octobre 2020, un timbre consacré à ce 75ème anniversaire des Nations Unies.

As a reminder, 51 countries founded the United Nations in 1945 following the ratification of the United Nations Charter in San Francisco on October 24, 1945. 
Pakistan has been a member of the United Nations since September 30, 1947 and the country's postal administration put into circulation, on October 24, 2020, a stamp dedicated to this 75th anniversary of the United Nations.

 

Ce timbre (20 Rs, tirage : 300000), conçu par Mughiz Khan, figure en 6 exemplaire sur cette jolie lettre envoyée le 25 novembre 2020 depuis Islamabad, la capitale du pays. Merci beaucoup Abu !
Ce timbre représente le siège des Nations Unies à New-York avec une série de drapeaux de pays membres au 1er plan, le drapeau du Pakistan y figurant ici à la place du drapeau de l'Inde !!
Le logo officiel de ce 75ème anniversaire des Nations Unies (emblème des Nations Unies, mention "UN75", avec le slogan associé "Façonnons notre avenir ensemble" en anglais) est présent également sur ce timbre de grand format (56 x 56 mm).
Le Pakistan a été membre non permanent du Conseil de Sécurité des Nations Unies à 7 reprises depuis 1947 et est un pays très actif concernant le maintien de la paix en participant en particulier à de nombreuses missions de maintien de la paix et d'observation des Nations Unies (200000 pakistanais y ont participé pour 46 missions, 157 ont été tués).
Le Pakistan est également l'un des pays qui a eu un diplomate, Muhammad Zafarullah Khan (1893-1985), qui fut président de l'Assemblée générale des Nations Unies (en 1961-1962) et président de la Cour internationale de justice (1970-1973). 
This stamp (Rs 20, print run: 300,000), designed by Mughiz Khan, was used in 6 copies on this pretty letter sent on November 25, 2020 from Islamabad, the capital of the country. Thank you very much Abu!
This stamp represents the headquarters of the United Nations in New York with a series of flags of member countries in the foreground, the flag of Pakistan appearing here instead of the flag of India !!
The official logo of this 75th anniversary of the United Nations (United Nations emblem, mention "UN75", with the associated slogan "Shaping our future together" in English) is also present on this large format stamp (56 x 56 mm).
Pakistan has been a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council 7 times since 1947 and is a very active country in peacekeeping, participating in particular in numerous United Nations peacekeeping and observer missions (200,000 Pakistanis participated in 46 missions, 157 were killed).
Pakistan is also one of the countries which has had a diplomat, Muhammad Zafarullah Khan (1893-1985), who was president of the United Nations General Assembly (in 1961-1962) and president of the International Court of Justice (1970-1973).

 

Abu a utilisé d'autres timbres sur l'autre côté de son enveloppe ci-dessus, en particulier les 2 timbres (8 Rs chacun) de l'émission commune Pakistan-Azerbaïdjan, émise le 9 juin 2018, consacrée à des mosquées des 2 pays : la mosquée Heydar à Bakou et la mosquée Wazir Khan à Lahore, avec la présence des drapeaux de chaque pays à gauche.
Les 2 blocs-feuillets identiques composés de 2 timbres (7 Rs chacun, prix de vente du bloc : 25 Rs), émis le 21 juillet 1999, sont consacrés au patrimoine archéologique du Pakistan et en particulier à l'une des œuvres les plus précieuses conservées dans le musée de Lahore : une sculpture de Bouddha jeûnant datant de la civilisation Gandhara (1er siècle après JC).
A noter dans la marges en haut à droite sur ce bloc-feuillet, la présence du logo de l'exposition philatélique internationale "China 1999". 

Abu used other stamps on the other side of his envelope above, in particular the 2 stamps (Rs 8 each) of the Pakistan-Azerbaijan joint set, issued on June 9, 2018, dedicated to mosques in the 2 country: the Heydar Mosque in Baku and the Wazir Khan Mosque in Lahore, with the presence of the flags of each country on the left.

The two identical souvenir sheets composed of 2 stamps (Rs 7 each, selling price of the sheet : Rs 25), issued on July 21, 1999, are devoted to the archaeological heritage of Pakistan and in particular to one of the most precious works preserved in the Lahore Museum: a sculpture of Fasting Buddha dating from the Gandhara civilization (1st century AD).

To note in the margins at the top right of this souvenir sheet, the presence of the logo of the international philatelic exhibition "China 1999".
