"New Year's Greetings - Year of the Metal Ox" stamp set on FDCs from Taiwan

Série "Vœux de Nouvel An - Année du buffle de métal" sur FDCs de Taïwan

Le 12 février 2021 (jusqu'au 31 janvier 2022), l'année du rat de métal laissera la place à l'année du buffle de métal d'après le calendrier lunaire chinois, et le début d'un nouveau cycle astrologique de 12 ans.
Comme de coutume, la Chunghwa Post de Taïwan a été une des premières administrations postales à émettre, le 1er décembre 2020 (année 109 sur l'île) une série (2 timbres + 1 bloc-feuillet) consacrée à cette nouvelle année du buffle (ou du bœuf).
C'est le bloc-feuillet (15 NT$) qui figure sur le pli spécial ci-dessous avec TAD illustré du Premier Jour d'émission. Merci beaucoup George !
On February 12, 2021 (until January 31, 2022), the Year of the Metal Rat will give way to the Year of the Metal Ox according to the Chinese lunar calendar, and the start of a new 12-year astrological cycle.
As usual, the Chunghwa Post of Taiwan was one of the first postal administrations to issue, on December 1, 2020 (year 109 on the island) a series (2 stamps + 1 souvenir sheet) dedicated to this new Year of the Ox.
This souvenir sheet (NT$ 15) is present on the special cover below with an illustrated postmark of the First Day of Issue. Thank you very much George! 

 

Cette série (conception : Lin Chun-liang), imprimée par Cardon Enterprise Co., Ltd, a été conçue à la manière de l'art traditionnel chinois de la découpe du papier.
Le bloc-feuillet ci-dessus (15 NT$, tirage : 1000000) représente un buffle qui tourne la tête, illustrant la notion "transformer sa chance pour le meilleur", connue dans la tradition populaire chinoise, anticipant une année du buffle à venir qui sera caractérisée par la paix et la bonne fortune. 

This series (design: Lin Chun-liang), printed by Cardon Enterprise Co., Ltd., was designed in the style of the traditional Chinese art of paper cutting.
The souvenir sheet above (NT $ 15, print run: 1,000,000) is featuring an ox turning its head, illustrating the notion "turning one's luck for the better", known in Chinese folk tradition, anticipating a Year of the Ox to come that will be characterized by peace and good fortune.

 

Les 2 timbres (6 NT$ et 13 NT$) de cette série, imprimés chacun en feuille de 20 timbres, figurent sur le 2ème FDC ci-dessus, avec un TAD différent.
Le 1er timbre (6 NT$, tirage : 2670000) illustre l'idiome local "changer les choses", exprimant l'espoir que tout se déroulera comme espéré en cette année du buffle, que les catastrophes seront évitées, que les obstacles seront surmontés et qu'un succès financier sera au rendez-vous.
L'autre timbre (13 NT$, tirage : 1570000) est une représentation visuelle d'une autre expression "Dans l'année du buffle, le buffle transformera sa chance pour le meilleur, l'argent coulant à flot, comme de l'eau"...
Cet idiome exprime l'idée de la bonne fortune en cette année du buffle, avec des finances en plein essor alors que nous saluons l'arrivée du printemps.

The 2 stamps (NT $ 6 and NT $ 13) of this series, each printed in sheet of 20 stamps, appear on the 2nd FDC above, with a different postmark.

The first stamp (NT $ 6, print run: 2,670,000) illustrates the local idiom "turning things around", expressing the hope that everything will go as hoped in this Year of the Ox, that disasters will be avoided, that obstacles will be overcome and that there will be financial success.

The other stamp (NT $ 13, print run: 1,570,000) is a visual representation of another expression "In the Year of the Ox, the ox will turn one's luck for the better, with money flowing like water" ...

This idiom expresses the idea of good fortune in this new Year of the Ox, with finances surging as we welcome the arrival of spring.
