Bloc-feuillet "Lions de Sofia" sur lettre de Bulgarie

Le lion est un des symboles de la Bulgarie, représenté sur les armoiries nationales et ayant donné le nom de la monnaie bulgare.
Depuis les temps anciens, il a été un symbole de pouvoir suprême et divin, de noblesse, de prudence et de justice. Il est aussi un symbole de l'autorité de l'état et du courage et de l'invincibilité des guerriers bulgares, qui se sont battus "comme des lions" pendant les guerres des deux derniers siècles.
Ce qui explique sans doute le grand nombre de statues de lions à travers le pays et dans la capitale Sofia en particulier.
Le 20 mai 2020, la poste bulgare a mis en circulation 3 nouveaux timbres courants (conception : Stoyan Dechev) ayant pour thème des têtes de lions de sculptures situées à Sofia. 
Lion is one of the symbols of Bulgaria, represented on the national coat of arms and having given the name of the Bulgarian currency.
From ancient times it has been a symbol of supreme and divine power, nobility, prudence and justice. It is also a symbol of the authority of the state and of the courage and invincibility of the Bulgarian warriors, who fought "like lions" during the wars of the last two centuries.
This probably explains the large number of lion statues across the country and in the capital Sofia in particular.
On May 20, 2020, the Bulgarian Post issued 3 new definitive stamps (design: Stoyan Dechev) having for theme lion's heads from sculptures located in Sofia.

 

Ces 3 timbres (sans encoche au niveau des dentelures verticales) ont également été imprimés dans le joli bloc-feuillet (tirage : 5000) utilisé sur cette lettre, avec présence du TAD Premier Jour, envoyée en recommandé le 11 janvier 2021 depuis Sofia. Merci beaucoup Borislav !
A noter sur cette enveloppe l'empreinte "Таxe perçue" et la valeur associée (2,60 leva) afin d'atteindre le tarif en vigueur (7,70 leva) pour un envoi prioritaire jusqu'à 20g en recommandé vers la France.
Le 1er timbre (1,10 leva) est consacré à la statue d'un lion (par le sculpteur Andrey Nikolov) faisant partie du monument du soldat inconnu, inauguré en 1981 à l'occasion du 1300ème anniversaire de l'établissement d'un état bulgare. Cette statue de lion couché a été considérée comme certains comme une métaphore de l'abandon aux idées nationales...
Le timbre du milieu (1,70 leva) représente une statue de lion située devant le bâtiment du ministère de l'intérieur, le dernier timbre (2,30 leva) montrant une tête d'une des 4 statues de lions (en bronze) situées sur le pont aux lions (architecte : Václav Prošek), construit entre 1889 et 1891 sur la rivière Vladaya.

These 3 stamps (without notch on vertical perforations) were also printed in the pretty souvenir sheet (print run: 5,000) used on this cover, with the presence of the First Day cancellation, sent by registered mail on January 11, 2021 from Sofia. Thank you very much Borislav!

To note on this envelope the mark "Таx collected" and the associated value (2.60 leva) in order to reach the tariff in force (7.70 leva) for a priority registered shipment up to 20g to France.

The 1st stamp (1.10 leva) is dedicated to the statue of a lion (by sculptor Andrey Nikolov) forming part of the monument of the unknown soldier, inaugurated in 1981 on the occasion of the 1300th anniversary of the establishment of a Bulgarian state. This statue of a lying lion was considered by some to be a metaphor of surrender to the national ideas ...

The middle stamp (1.70 leva) represents a lion statue located in front of the building of the Ministry of Interior, the last stamp (2.30 leva) depicting a head of one of the 4 statues of lions (in bronze) located on the Lions' Bridge (architect: Václav Prošek), built between 1889 and 1891 on the Vladaya River.
