Retour de Gandhi en Inde (1915), Surya Namaskar et pèlerinage de Dargah Sharif sur lettre d'Inde

Merci beaucoup Mourad et Kishan pour cette intéressante lettre envoyée en recommandé le 3 mars 2021 depuis la ville de Bangalore, affranchie avec de nombreux timbres dont 2 timbres (5 Rp et 25 Rp), émis le 8 janvier 2015 pour commémorer le 100ème anniversaire du retour du Mahatma Gandhi (1869-1948) en Inde.
Entre 1893 et 1915, le jeune avocat Gandhi séjourna en Afrique du Sud où il pris conscience des actions pour la dignité humaine et la justice sociale, une méthode de désobéissance civile non-violente, en organisant la lutte de la communauté indienne pour ses droits civiques.
Cette période marqua et structura la pensée de Gandhi, futur "Père de la Nation" et figure du mouvement d'indépendance du pays. 
Thank you very much Mourad and Kishan for this interesting letter sent by registered mail on March 3, 2021 from the city of Bangalore, franked with many stamps including two stamps (5 Rp and 25 Rp), issued on January 8, 2015 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the return of Mahatma Gandhi (1869-1948) to India.
Between 1893 and 1915, the young lawyer Gandhi stayed in South Africa where he became aware of actions for human dignity and social justice, a method of non-violent civil disobedience, by organizing the struggle of the Indian community for their civil rights.
This period marked and structured the thought of Gandhi, future "Father of the Nation" and figure of the country's independence movement.

 

Gandhi est représenté sur l'un de ces 2 timbres, avec la 1ère page de l'ouvrage "Souvenir of the passive resistance movement in South Africa, 1906-1914" dans le fond, l'autre timbre montrant Gandhi et son épouse, Kasturba, lors de leur retour en Inde le 9 janvier 1915.
Un autre timbre à 5 Rp a été utilisé, faisant partie d'une série (12 timbres) émise le 20 juin 2016, consacrée aux différentes postures (āsana) de la Salutation au Soleil (Surya Namaskar), pratiquée dans le Haṭha Yoga lorsqu'une personne s'incline face au soleil levant.
Le bloc-feuillet (5 Rp et 20 Rp), émis le 27 mai 2012, est consacré au 800ème anniversaire du pèlerinage de l'Urs (Urs faisant référence au rituel qui correspond à la fête de la mort d'un maître Soufis) du sanctuaire de Dargah Sharif à Ajmer (Rajasthan, nord-ouest de l'Inde).
Ce site est le lieu du tombeau du philosophe et saint soufis Moinuddin chisti (1143-1236), vénéré pour sa sainteté et sa piété.
Gandhi is represented on one of these 2 stamps, with the first page of the book "Souvenir of the passive resistance movement in South Africa, 1906-1914" in the background, the other stamp showing Gandhi and his wife, Kasturba, when they returned to India on January 9, 1915.
Another 5 Rp stamp was used, part of a series (12 stamps) issued on June 20, 2016, devoted to the different postures (āsana) of the Sun Salutation (Surya Namaskar), practiced in Haṭha Yoga when a person bows to the rising sun.
The souvenir sheet (5 Rp and 20 Rp), issued on May 27, 2012, is dedicated to the 800th anniversary of the Urs pilgrimage (Urs referring to the ritual which corresponds to the feast of the death of a Sufi master) of Dargah Sharif shrine in Ajmer (Rajasthan, northwest India).
This site is the place of the tomb of the Sufi philosopher and saint Moinuddin chisti (1143-1236), venerated for his holiness and piety.
