"Carol Schmidt, mayor of Chișinău - 175th birth anniversary" postmark on card from Moldova

Chișinău est devenue l'une des plus belles villes européennes à la fin du 19ème siècle grâce à l'action de son maire de l'époque (entre 1877 et 1903), Carol Schmidt (1846-1928), faisant partie de la communauté allemande venue s'installer en Bessarabie à partir de 1814.
Avec l'architecte Alexandru Bernardazzi, Carol Schmidt a radicalement changé le visage et l'identité de la ville pendant les 26 ans de son mandat. Sous sa direction, les rues principales ont été pavées, le premier réseau d'aqueduc et d'égouts est apparu, les premières lignes de tramway ont été tracées, l'éclairage public a été introduit et de nombreux bâtiments ont été construits.
Le 25 juin 2021, la poste moldave a mis en circulation un TAD spécial consacré au 175ème anniversaire (jour pour jour) de la naissance de Carol Schmidt.  
Chișinău became one of the most beautiful European cities at the end of the 19th century thanks to the action of its mayor at the time (between 1877 and 1903), Carol Schmidt (1846-1928), belonging to the German community who came to settle in Bessarabia from 1814.
With architect Alexandru Bernardazzi, Carol Schmidt radically changed the face and identity of the city during the 26 years of his tenure. Under his leadership, the main streets were paved, the first water and sewage system appeared, the first tram lines were laid out, street lighting was introduced, and many buildings were constructed.
On June 25, 2021, the Post of Moldova put into circulation a special postmark dedicated to the 175th anniversary (to the day) of the birth of Carol Schmidt.

 

Ce TAD, conçu par Eugeniu Verebceanu, a été appliqué par le bureau principal de Chișinău (MD-2012) sur cette carte postale (conception : Lilian Iațco, tirage : 1000). Merci beaucoup Nicolae !
Cette carte a été éditée spécialement en 2016 à l'occasion de l'émission du timbre (1,20 L, tirage : 300000, conception : Oleg Cojocari) consacré également à Carol Schmidt, utilisé en haut à droite, faisant partie d'une série (4 timbres) émise le 29 juin 2016 illustrant différentes personnalités ("Personalităţi ilustre") originaires de Moldavie.
Ce timbre montre son portrait avec son buste (inauguré en 2014 à côté de la Philharmonie Nationale "Serghei Lunchevici") et le bâtiment abritant la mairie de Chișinău au début du 20ème siècle (l'édifice, presque détruit pendant la 2ème guerre mondiale, a un aspect différent aujourd'hui). 
This postmark, designed by Eugeniu Verebceanu, was applied by the main post office in Chișinău (MD-2012) on this postcard (design: Lilian Iațco, print run: 1,000). Thank you very much Nicolae!
This card was specially edited in 2016 on the occasion of the issue of the stamp (1.20 L, print run: 300,000, design: Oleg Cojocari) also dedicated to Carol Schmidt, used top right, part of a series (4 stamps) issued on June 29, 2016 featuring different personalities ("Personalităţi ilustre") from Moldova.
This stamp depicts his portrait with his bust (inaugurated in 2014 next to the National Philharmonic "Serghei Lunchevici") and the building housing the town hall of Chișinău at the beginning of the 20th century (the building, almost destroyed during the 2nd World War, is slightly different today). 

 

 

Nicolae a complété son affranchissement, pour atteindre le tarif en vigueur pour un envoi prioritaire de moins de 20g vers la France (11 L actuellement) avec 2 autres timbres identiques (5 L) faisant partie de la série courante consacrée à des blasons de villes moldaves (émise le 7 mars 2015), Chişinău ici.
Le buste de Carol Schmidt est également représenté sur l'autre côté de cette carte ci-dessus. 

Nicolae completed his postage, to reach the rate in force for a priority shipment up to 20g to France (11 L currently) with two other identical stamps (5 L) being part of the definitive series devoted to coats of arms of Moldovan cities (issued on March 7, 2015), Chişinău here.
