"Anniversary of the foundation of the Postal Museum" postmark on cover from Czech Republic

J'ai déjà très souvent évoqué ce musée postal de Prague sur ce blog, à travers les très nombreuses expositions qui y sont organisées chaque année, consacrées à l'histoire postale ou aux artistes et graveurs de timbres tchèques ou tchécoslovaques.
Mais j'ignorais que cette institution culturelle de 1er plan avait été fondée le 18 décembre 1918, il y a plus de 103 ans, ce qu'un TAD spécial ("cor postal" conçu par Beáta Šafková) mis en circulation le 18 décembre 2021 dans ce musée de Prague nous rappelle.
Merci beaucoup Slavek pour cette jolie lettre sur laquelle ce TAD, avec mention "Výročí založení Poštovního muzea" ("Anniversaire de la fondation du musée postal"), a été appliqué !
Ce musée postal a été créé en 1918 afin d'exposer des collections sur l'histoire postale, témoignant du statut indépendant et autonome de la nation tchèque et slovaque.
Ce 18 décembre 1918, le 1er timbre tchécoslovaque, le célèbre "Château de Prague" conçu par Alfons Mucha, a été également émis (un timbre émis le 21 février 2018 l'a reproduit).
I have already mentioned this Postal Museum in Prague very often on this blog, through the many exhibitions that are held there every year, devoted to postal history or to stamp artists and engravers of Czech and Czechoslovak stamps.
But I did not know that this leading cultural institution was founded on December 18, 1918, more than 103 years ago, what a special postmark ("postal horn" designed by Beáta Šafková) put into circulation on December 18, 2021 in this Prague museum is reminding us.

This postal museum was established in 1918 in order to display collections about postal history, testifying to the independent and autonomous status of the Czech and Slovak nation.
On December 18, 1918, the first Czechoslovak stamp, the famous "Prague Castle" designed by Alfons Mucha, was also issued (a stamp issued on February 21, 2018 reproduced it). 

 

Au début des années 1930, le musée a emménagé dans l'ancien monastère St Gabriel dans le quartier de Smíchov à Prague, avec en particulier des expositions de voitures, traîneaux, avions dans la collection de véhicules de transport.
L'occupation de la Tchécoslovaquie a interrompu le développement du musée, qui a rouvert en mai 1945 avant d'être fermé par les autorités communistes.
Le musée occupe l'édifice baroque actuel à Prague depuis 1988.
Slavek a utilisé 2 exemplaires du timbre (tarif permanent "B" pour un envoi domestique standard jusqu'à 50g en mode économique - 19 CZK), émis le 1er février 2020, représentant un employé en uniforme postal (18ème siècle), à cheval, jouant du cor. Ce timbre, conçu par Karel Zeman, a été imprimé dans un carnet composé de 10 timbres autocollants (tirage : 200000 carnets).
Slavek a complété son affranchissement avec un des timbres (1 CZK) de la série courante "Fleurs" illustrée par Anna Khunová, émis le 9 mai 2007, représentant une fleur de cyclamen ici, afin d'atteindre le tarif en vigueur (39 CZK) pour un envoi prioritaire jusqu'à 50g vers les pays européens. 
In the early 1930s, the museum moved into the former St. Gabriel monastery in the Smíchov district of Prague, with in particular exhibitions of cars, sledges, planes in the collection of transport vehicles.
The occupation of Czechoslovakia interrupted the development of the museum, which reopened in May 1945 before being closed by the communist authorities.
The museum occupies its current baroque building in Prague since 1988.
Slavek used 2 copies of the stamp (permanent rate "B" for a standard domestic shipment up to 50g in economy mode - 19 CZK), issued on February 1, 2020, depicting an employee in postal uniform (18th century), on horseback, playing the horn. This stamp, designed by Karel Zeman, was printed in a booklet composed of 10 self-adhesive stamps (print run: 200,000 booklets).
Slavek completed his postage with one of the stamps (1 CZK) from the "Flowers" definitive series illustrated by Anna Khunová, issued on May 9, 2007, depicting a cyclamen flower here, to reach the current tariff (39 CZK) for a priority shipment up to 50g to European countries.
