Le 12 novembre 2021, une nouvelle empreinte de machine à affranchir (EMA, appelée OVS en tchèque) bleue a été mise en circulation par le bureau postal de Prague 1, en collaboration avec l'association tchèque de philatélie thématique "Olympsport" (sport et olympisme), à l'occasion du 50ème anniversaire de la médaille d'or remportée par la Tchécoslovaquie dans l'épreuve du relais 4x100m lors des championnats d'Europe d'athlétisme 1971 à Helsinki.
Cette EMA (valeur 39 CZK ici pour un envoi en Europe jusqu'à 50g), constituée d'un code matriciel et d'une illustration représentant un passage de relais, a été appliquée sur la lettre ci-dessous. Merci beaucoup Slavek !
On November 12, 2021, a new blue meter cancellation (called OVS in Czech) was put into circulation by the Prague 1 main post office, in collaboration with the Czech association of thematic philately "Olympsport" (sport and Olympism), on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the gold medal won by Czechoslovakia in the 4x100m relay event at the 1971 European Athletics Championships in Helsinki.
This meter cancellation (value 39 CZK here for a shipment in Europe up to 50g), consisting of a matrix code and an illustration representing a handover, has been applied to the letter below. Thank you very much Slavek!

 

Lors de ces 10èmes championnats d'Europe d'athlétisme, Ladislav Kříž, Juraj Demeč, Jiří Kynos et Luděk Bohman ont en effet remporté l'épreuve du relais 4x100m masculin, devant la Pologne et l'Italie.
La Tchécoslovaquie a également remporté une médaille d'or en lancer du disque (Ludvík Daněk, également champion olympique en 1972) et 2 médailles de bronze, ce championnat étant largement dominé par la RDA, l'URSS et la RFA. 

During these 10th European Athletics Championships, Ladislav Kříž, Juraj Demeč, Jiří Kynos and Luděk Bohman indeed won the men's 4x100m relay event, ahead of Poland and Italy.

Czechoslovakia also won a gold medal in discus throwing (Ludvík Daněk, also Olympic champion in 1972) and 2 bronze medals, this championship being largely dominated by the GDR, the USSR and the FRG.

 

Le 1er novembre 2021, le bureau de Prague 8 a mis en circulation l'EMA ci-dessus (encore merci Slavek !), consacrée au nouveau format de la Fed Cup, renommée Coupe Billie Jean King depuis 2020, l'équivalent féminin de la Coupe Davis.
La phase finale de cette compétition, disputée entre 2020 et 2021 à cause de la pandémie de Covid-19, avait lieu du 1er au 6 juin 2021 à Prague (O2 Arena).
12 équipes étaient qualifiées, réparties dans 4 groupes de 3 équipes. Les 4 premières équipes de chaque groupe disputaient les demi-finales (Russie, USA, Suisse, Australie) et c'est la Russie qui a remporté cette Coupe Billie Jean King en battant (2-0) la Suisse en finale.

On November 1, 2021, the Prague 8 post office released the above meter cancellation (thank you again Slavek!), dedicated to the new format of the Fed Cup, renamed the Billie Jean King Cup since 2020, the women's equivalent of the Davis Cup.

The final phase of this competition, contested between 2020 and 2021 because of the Covid-19 pandemic, took place from June 1 to 6, 2021 in Prague (O2 Arena).

12 teams were qualified, divided into 4 groups of 3 teams. The first 4 teams in each group played in the semi-finals (Russia, USA, Switzerland, Australia) and it was Russia that won the Billie Jean King Cup by beating (2-0) Switzerland in the final.
