EUROPA 2022 (Stories & Myths) stamp set on FDC from Bosnia & Herzegovina (Pošte Srpske)

Série EUROPA 2022 (Mythes et légendes) sur FDC de Bosnie-Herzégovine (Pošte Srpske)

Heureux de partager avec vous ce joli FDC officiel (tirage : 500) du 11 mai 2022 avec TAD de Banja Luka, concernant la série EUROPA (2 timbres) dédiée cette année aux mythes et légendes ("приче и митови" en serbe).
Ces 2 timbres ont été mis en circulation par la Pošte Srpske (Republika Srpska), l'un des 3 opérateurs postaux de la Bosnie-Herzégovine (BiH), avec la poste croate de Mostar (HP Mostar) et la poste de la Fédération de BiH de Sarajevo.
Cette série EUROPA (conception : Nebojša Đumić) a été déclinée, pour chaque timbre, en feuillet (8 timbres + 1 vignette) ainsi que dans un carnet de 4 timbres (2 de chaque, non dentelés sur certains côtés). Chacun de ces timbres a été imprimé à 20000 exemplaires (10000 pour le carnet). 
J'aime beaucoup le graphisme réaliste et audacieux de cette série ainsi que l'enveloppe Premier Jour, montrant cette jeune fille apeurée dans son lit...
Happy to share with you this nice official FDC (print run: 500) of May 11, 2022 with postmark from Banja Luka, concerning the EUROPA series (2 stamps) dedicated this year to the Stories and myths ("приче и митови" in Serbian).
These two stamps were put into circulation by the Pošte Srpske (Republika Srpska), one of the 3 postal operators of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), with the Croatian Post of Mostar (HP Mostar) and the Post of the BiH Federation in Sarajevo.
These EUROPA stamps (design: Nebojša Đumić) have been each issued in sheetlet (8 stamps + 1 label) as well as in a booklet of 4 stamps (2 stamps of each, imperforated on some sides). Each of these stamps has been printed in 20,000 copies (10,000 for the booklet).
I really love the realistic and audacious design of this series as well as the First Day Cover, showing this scared young girl in her bed ...  

 

Chaque nation a ses propres croyances et mythes qui se transmettent de génération en génération depuis des siècles. La mythologie des peuples slaves, y compris les serbes de Bosnie, est très vivante et colorée.
Le timbre à droite (2,70 BAM) est consacré à Drekavac ou le hurleur, une créature de la mythologie des Slaves du Sud, une manifestation matérielle d'un homme mort non baptisé (selon certaines histoires, un jeune garçon) qui ne peut pas trouver la paix.
Selon la légende, Drekavac est une petite créature poilue, avec de longues griffes acérées sur ses orteils et une grosse tête sur un cou fin. Il a été mentionné qu'il est l'objet de cris effrayants avec lesquels il peut assourdir une personne. Selon le mythe, les hurleurs attaquent les personnes qui se retrouvent tard dans la nuit près d'un cimetière, d'une rivière, d'un lac ou d'une forêt en leur sautant sur le dos et en les forçant à marcher toute la nuit. Si la victime n'obéit pas aux exigences du hurleur, elle sera griffée et déchirée par les énormes griffes de cette créature mythique...
L'autre timbre (1,95 BAM) est consacré à Baba Roga, également une créature de la mythologie des Slaves du Sud. Les petits enfants avaient peur d'elle. Baba Roga est souvent confondue avec une sorcière, bien qu'il s'agisse de créatures mythologiques différentes.
Dans le folklore, elle est décrite exclusivement comme un être féminin terrifiant sous la forme d'une vieille femme voûtée, laide et édentée avec un visage horrible et une corne sur la tête. Elle se cache dans les endroits sombres et ne sort que la nuit. Baba Roga effraie et kidnappe des enfants pas sages et les emmène dans sa tanière...

The stamp on the right (2.70 BAM) is dedicated to Drekavac or the Screamer, a creature of South Slavic mythology, a material manifestation of an unbaptized dead man (according to some stories, a young boy) who cannot find peace.

According to legend, Drekavac is a small, hairy creature, with long, sharp claws on its toes and a large head on a thin neck. It has been mentioned that he is the object of frightening cries with which he can deafen a person. According to the myth, screamers attack people who find themselves late at night near a cemetery, a river, a lake or a forest by jumping on their backs and forcing them to walk all the way. night. If the victim does not obey the screamer's demands, he will be scratched and torn by the enormous claws of this mythical creature ...

The other stamp (1.95 BAM) is dedicated to Baba Roga, also a creature from South Slavic mythology. The little children were afraid of her. Baba Roga is often confused with a witch, although they are different mythological creatures.

In folklore, she is depicted exclusively as a terrifying female being in the form of a hunched, ugly, toothless old woman with a horrifying face and a horn on her head. She hides in dark places and only goes out at night. Baba Roga scares and kidnaps naughty children and takes them to her lair ...
