L'histoire contemporaine des relations entre la République de Serbie et la République d'Azerbaïdjan remonte au 21 août 1997, lorsque les relations diplomatiques entre les deux états ont été établies.
2010 et 2011 ont été des années très importantes pour le partenariat serbo-azerbaïdjanais, au cours de ces années, les missions diplomatiques de l'Azerbaïdjan à Belgrade et de la Serbie à Bakou ont été élevées au rang d'ambassades, confirmant l'intérêt pour une coopération mutuelle efficace et dynamique. 
Cette année marquant le 25ème anniversaire de l'établissement de ces relations, les présidents de Serbie et d'Azerbaïdjan ont signé à Belgrade 7 accords bilatéraux, dont un protocole d'accord pour établir un Conseil de partenariat stratégique. Une coopération renforcée entre les 2 pays est envisagée en particulier dans le domaine de l'énergie et du gaz naturel.
Le 16 septembre 2022, la poste serbe a mis en circulation un intéressant bloc-feuillet consacré au 25ème anniversaire de l'établissement de relations diplomatiques entre la Serbie et l'Azerbaïdjan.
The contemporary history of relations between the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Azerbaijan dates back to August 21, 1997, when diplomatic relations between the two states were established.
2010 and 2011 were very important years for the Serbian-Azerbaijani partnership, during these years the diplomatic missions of Azerbaijan in Belgrade and Serbia in Baku were raised to the rank of embassies, confirming the interest for effective and dynamic mutual cooperation.
This year marking the 25th anniversary of the establishment of these relations, the presidents of Serbia and Azerbaijan signed in Belgrade 7 bilateral agreements, including a memorandum of understanding to establish a Strategic Partnership Council. Enhanced cooperation between the two countries is envisaged, particularly in the field of energy and natural gas.
On September 16, 2022, the Serbian Post released an interesting souvenir sheet dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Serbia and Azerbaijan.

 

Ce bloc-feuillet numéroté (106 dinars, tirage : 10000), conçu par Miroslav Nikolić, a été utilisé sur cette lettre envoyée le 22 septembre 2022 depuis Novi Sad. Merci beaucoup Dusan !
Ce bloc-feuillet illustre différents édifices civils et religieux situés à Belgrade (à gauche) et à Bakou (à droite).
Les 3 "Flame Towers" (190 mètres de haut), inaugurées en 2012 à Bakou, sont représentées à droite sur ce bloc-feuillet. Ces tours sont célèbres car leurs façades constituent un support à des splendides illuminations.
Au 1er plan à droite figure la mosquée Heydar, construite entre 2012 et 2014 en l'honneur de l'ancien président de l'Azerbaïdjan, Heydar Aliyev. Cet édifice est composé de 4 minarets de 95m de hauteur et de dômes principaux de 55 m et 35 m de haut.
L'église Saint-Marc de Belgrade est représentée au 1er plan à gauche, une église orthodoxe située dans le parc de Tašmajdan, non loin de l'Assemblée nationale. Cet édifice, caractéristique de l'architecture serbo-byzantine, a été construit de 1931 à 1940 par les architectes Petar et Branko Krstić. 
Dans le fond à gauche, les immeubles du Belgrade Waterfront avec en particulier la Belgrade Tower (168 mètres de haut), construite entre 2016 et 2022, le nouveau symbole de la capitale serbe.

This souvenir sheet illustrates various civic and religious buildings located in Belgrade (left) and Baku (right).

The three "Flame Towers" (190 meters high), inaugurated in 2012 in Baku, are represented on the right on this souvenir sheet. These towers are famous because their facades are a support for splendid illuminations.

In the foreground on the right is the Heydar Mosque, built between 2012 and 2014 in honor of the former president of Azerbaijan, Heydar Aliyev. This building is made up of 4 minarets 95m high and main domes 55m and 35m high.

St. Mark's Church in Belgrade is pictured in the left foreground, an Orthodox church located in Tašmajdan Park, not far from the National Assembly. This building, characteristic of Serbo-Byzantine architecture, was built from 1931 to 1940 by architects Petar and Branko Krstić.

In the background on the left, the buildings of the Belgrade Waterfront with in particular the Belgrade Tower (168 meters high), built between 2016 and 2022, the new symbol of the Serbian capital.
