Timbre "25ème Jamboree Scout Mondial" sur FDC de Corée du Sud
Le 17ème Jamboree Scout Mondial, un rassemblement de scouts à l'échelle mondiale, organisé tous les quatre ans (depuis 1920) par l'Organisation Mondiale du Mouvement Scout, avait déjà été organisé en Corée du Sud en 1991.
Lors du 41ème Congrès Mondial du Scoutisme à Bakou (Azerbaïdjan) en 2017, la Corée du Sud a été choisie comme pays hôte du 25ème Jamboree Scout Mondial, organisé à Saemangeum (une vaste bande côtière située dans le centre-ouest du pays) du 1er au 12 août 2023.
A cette occasion, la poste coréenne a mis en circulation, le 30 juin 2023, un timbre (430 won, tirage : 624000, conception : Park, Eun-kyung), imprimé (par Cartor) en feuille de 16 timbres, utilisé sur le FDC ci-dessous avec TAD de Nambusan. Merci beaucoup Ji-Ho !
Ce timbre représente Saebeomi, la mascotte officielle de ce 25ème Jamboree Scout Mondial. En tant qu'animal mystique qui habite la montagne spirituelle Baekdusan en Corée, Saebeomi représente le courage des jeunes scouts qui se joignent au Jamboree en 2023.
The 17th World Scout Jamboree, a worldwide gathering of scouts, organized every four years (since 1920) by the World Organization of the Scout Movement, was previously organized in South Korea in 1991.
During the 41st World Scout Congress in Baku, Azerbaijan in 2017, South Korea was chosen as the host country for the 25th World Scout Jamboree, organized in Saemangeum (a vast coastal strip located in the center-west of the country) from 1-12 August 2023.
On this occasion, the Korean Post put into circulation, on June 30, 2023, a stamp (430 won, print run: 624,000, design: Park, Eun-kyung), printed (by Cartor) in a sheet of 16 stamps, used on the FDC below with cancellation from Nambusan. Thank you very much Ji-Ho!
This stamp represents Saebeomi, the official mascot of this 25th World Scout Jamboree. As a mystical animal that inhabits Korea's spiritual Baekdusan Mountain, Saebeomi represents the bravery of the young Scouts joining this Jamboree in 2023.
Sur ce timbre, Saebeomi fait le salut scout et brandit un drapeau représentant l'emblème de l'Organisation Mondiale du Mouvement Scout, la fleur de lys, un symbole ancien utilisé par Baden-Powell pour les scouts enrôlés dans l'armée britannique et qui est par la suite adopté et modifié par le mouvement scout.
Le slogan de ce 25ème Jamboree, "Dessine ton rêve" est mentionné dans la marge supérieure de la feuille ("Draw your dream"). Ce slogan représente le cœur des scouts qui seront l'avenir du Mouvement Scout, montrant que ce sont eux qui créent le Jamboree Scout Mondial comme ils le souhaitent, en fonction de leurs propres rêves.
Rassemblant plus de 43000 scouts âgés de 13 à 18 ans, venant de 153 pays, ce Jamboree Scout Mondial a été marqué par de nombreux problèmes d'organisation : températures ressenties frôlant les 40° (l'hôpital de campagne sur le site était sous-dimensionné), manque d'eau, des problèmes de nourriture, des nuées de moustiques...
Le 26ème Jamboree Scout Mondial aura lieu à Gdansk (Pologne) en 2027.
On this stamp, Saebeomi gives the scout salute and brandishes a flag representing the emblem of the World Organization of the Scout Movement, the fleur-de-lys, an ancient symbol used by Baden-Powell for scouts enlisted in the British army and which was subsequently adopted and modified by the scout movement.
The slogan of this 25th Jamboree, "Draw your dream" is mentioned in the upper margin of the sheet. This slogan represents the heart of the scouts who will be the future of the Scout Movement, showing that they are the ones who create the World Scout Jamboree as they wish, based on their own dreams.
Bringing together more than 43,000 scouts aged 13 to 18, coming from 153 countries, this World Scout Jamboree was marked by numerous organizational problems: temperatures felt close to 40° (the field hospital on the site was under dimensioned), lack of water, food problems, swarms of mosquitoes ...
The 26th World Scout Jamboree will take place in Gdansk, Poland in 2027.
