Timbre "75 ans du Vespa Club Italia", commun avec l'Italie, sur lettre de Saint-Marin
Saint-Marin et l'Italie célèbrent cette année le 75ème anniversaire du Vespa Club Italia, la plus grande association italienne promouvant toutes les activités Vespa dans ses diverses manifestations : sportives, touristiques, culturelles et récréatives.
Quand on parle de Vespa, on fait référence à un extraordinaire ambassadeur mondial du talent italien pour créer de la beauté. Une entité élégante qui a su fédérer les générations de l'après-guerre à nos jours grâce à sa capacité à se présenter et à évoluer au rythme de son temps.
Le nom de Vespa, qui signifie "guêpe" en italien, a été choisi par Enrico Piaggio en 1946 en découvrant le prototype du modèle. Ce scooter est par la suite devenu à la fois un symbole de la créativité italienne et un succès commercial, qui se poursuit jusqu'au 21ème siècle.
Le 20 avril 2024, les administrations postales de Saint-Marin et de l'Italie ont mis en circulation un timbre commun (avec cependant un graphisme différent...) consacré au 75ème anniversaire de ce Vespa Club Italia.
San Marino and Italy celebrate this year the 75th anniversary of the Vespa Club Italia, the largest Italian association promoting all Vespa activities in its various events: sportive, touristic, cultural, and recreational.
When we talk about Vespa, we are referring to an extraordinary global ambassador of Italian talent for creating beauty. An elegant entity which has united generations from the post-war period to the present day thanks to its ability to present itself and evolve to the rhythm of its times.
The name Vespa, which means "wasp" in Italian, was chosen by Enrico Piaggio in 1946 upon discovering the prototype of the model. This scooter subsequently became both a symbol of Italian creativity and a commercial success, which continues into the 21st century.
On April 20, 2024, the postal administrations of San Marino and Italy put into circulation a joint stamp (although with different design...) dedicated to the 75th anniversary of this Vespa Club Italia.
Le timbre (1,25€, tirage : 35000) émis par Saint-Marin a été utilisé à droite sur la lettre ci-dessus, envoyée le 20 avril 2024 depuis Dogana, la ville la plus peuplée du pays, située à la frontière nord-est avec l'Italie. Merci beaucoup Salvatore !
Conçu par Paola Momentè et imprimé (en France par Cartor Security Printing) en feuillet de 4 timbres, ce timbre illustre un couple fusionnel roulant chacun sur une vespa, les 2 plaques d'immatriculation faisant référence à la date d'émission du timbre (20.04 2024) !
Salvatore a utilisé un 2ème timbre (0,50€, tirage : 30000) faisant partie d'une série (3 timbres) émise le 30 mars 2021, consacrée au sport de façon originale.
Conçus par Franco Matticchio, ces timbres montrent avec ironie et humour des facteurs sous les traits d'animaux engagés dans les nouvelles disciplines olympiques : un chat livre une enveloppe sur un skateboard (timbre ci-dessus), un lapin avec un sac messager traverse la mer sur un surf et une chèvre grimpe au sommet d'une paroi rocheuse pour atteindre une boîte aux lettres.
The stamp (€1.25, print run: 35,000) issued by San Marino was used on the right on the cover above, sent on April 20, 2024 from Dogana, the most populous city in the country, located on the northeast border with Italy. Thank you very much Salvatore!
Designed by Paola Momentè and printed (in France by Cartor Security Printing) in a sheetlet of 4 stamps, this stamp illustrates a couple riding a Vespa, the two license plates referring to the date of issue of the stamp (20.04 2024)!
Salvatore used a 2nd stamp (€0.50, print run: 30,000) part of a series (3 stamps) issued on March 30, 2021, dedicated to sport in an original way.
Designed by Franco Matticchio, these stamps show with irony and humor postmen in the guise of animals engaged in the new Olympic disciplines: a cat delivers an envelope on a skateboard (stamp above), a rabbit with a messenger bag crosses the sea on a surf and a goat climbs on top of a rocky wall to reach a letterbox.
