Timbre EUROPA 2024 (Faune et flore subaquatiques) sur lettre de France

Pour rappel, le thème choisi par l'association PostEurop pour les timbres EUROPA émis en 2024, la faune et flore subaquatiques met en lumière la biodiversité des eaux européennes qui souffrent de la surpêche, de la pollution et du changement climatique et qui doivent être protégées pour les générations futures. 
Le 13 mai 2024 (vente générale), la poste française a mis en circulation un timbre EUROPA unique (comme de coutume) illustrant ce thème, décliné simplement en "faune sous-marine".
Ce timbre (1,96€, tirage : 720000), conçu par l'artiste Faunesque (Phil Constantinesco de son vrai nom, né en 1982), l'auteur du premier timbre NFT français émis en 2023, imprimé en feuillet de 15 timbres avec marges illustrées, a été utilisé que la lettre ci-dessous envoyée le 30 mai 2024 depuis Paris et le Salon ParisPhilex organisé du 30 mai au 1er juin 2024.  
As a reminder, the theme chosen by the PostEurop association for the EUROPA stamps issued in 2024, underwater fauna and flora highlights the biodiversity of European waters which suffer from overfishing, pollution and climate change and which have to be protected for future generations.
On May 13, 2024 (general sale), the French Post put into circulation a unique EUROPA stamp (as usual) illustrating this theme, simply expressed as "underwater fauna".
This stamp (€1.96, print run: 720,000), designed by the artist Faunesque (real name Phil Constantinesco, born in 1982), the author of the first French NFT stamp issued in 2023, printed in a sheetlet of 15 stamps with illustrated margins, was used as the cover below sent on May 30, 2024 from Paris and the ParisPhilex stamp exhibition organized from May 30 to June 1, 2024.

 

Ce timbre rappelle que la France est présente dans 4 des 5 océans de la planète et dispose du 2ème espace maritime mondial. La France veille au bon état du milieu marin en engageant à l'échelon international, européen et national, des politiques de préservation et de restauration de la biodiversité.
Ce timbre illustre plusieurs espèces marines, avec différents coraux et algues au premier plan : murène commune (Muraena helena), diable de Méditerranée (Mobula mobular, la 2ème plus grande raie au monde), corb (Sciaena umbra), sar à museau pointu (Diplodus puntazzo), pieuvre commune (Octopus vulgaris), crénilabre paon (Symphodus tinca), crabe vert (Carcinus maenas), bernard-l'ermite, protule lisse (Protula tubularia), étoile de mer rouge (Echinaster sepositus)...
La splendeur des forêts de gorgone ou de corail ne doit pas nous faire oublier qu'en 30 ans, 50 % des récifs coralliens ont disparu. Face à une faune souvent en danger, il s'agit plus que jamais de se mobiliser.

This stamp illustrates several marine species, with different corals and algae in the foreground: Mediterranean moray (Muraena helena), devil fish (Mobula mobular, the 2nd largest ray in the world), brown meagre (Sciaena umbra), sharpsnout seabream ( Diplodus puntazzo), common octopus (Octopus vulgaris), East Atlantic peacock wrasse (Symphodus tinca), European green crab (Carcinus maenas), hermit crab, Protula tubularia, Mediterranean red sea star (Echinaster sepositus)...
The splendor of the gorgonian or coral forests should not make us forget that in 30 years, 50% of coral reefs have disappeared. Faced with wildlife that is often in danger, it is more important than ever to mobilize.
