Comme cela est le cas depuis l'année du coq en 2005, la poste française a à nouveau émis, en vente générale le 3 février 2014, un bloc-feuillet de 5 timbres identiques (tirage : 1300000) consacré à la nouvelle année lunaire chinoise, l'Année du cheval (associé cette année à l'élément "bois").
Je ne suis toujours pas fan de cette thématique et j'espère vraiment que cette série s'achèvera avec l'année du singe en 2017 après un cycle complet de 12 ans...
As it is the case since the year of the Rooster in 2005, the French Post has once again issued, in general sale on February 3, 2014, a souvenir sheet of five identical stamps (print run : 1,300,000) dedicated to the Chinese Lunar New Year, the Year of the Horse (associated with the "wood" element).
I'm still not a fan at all of this topic and I really hope that this stamp series will end with the Year of the Monkey in 2017 after a complete cycle of 12 years...
C'est un des timbres (0,66€) de ce bloc-feuillet qui figure sur les 3 plis Premier Jour ci-dessus et ci-dessous, avec TAD du 31 janvier 2014 à Paris. Merci beaucoup Roland, Joël et Joël :-)
A noter que la prévente de ce timbre avait lieu cette année à Paris au Carré d'Encre (le 31 janvier) mais aussi au musée national des arts asiatiques Guimet (le 2 février).
Ce nouveau timbre a été conçu par Zhongyao Li, peintre-calligraphe français d'origine chinoise, qui a également conçu le timbre à date Premier Jour.
Zhongyao Li avait déjà créé le timbre du nouvel an chinois en 2006 (année du chien) ainsi que ceux émis entre 2009 et 2013.

To note that the preview sale of this stamp took place this year in Paris at the "Carré d'Encre" (on January 31) but also at the National Museum of Asian Art Guimet (on February 2).
This new stamp was designed by Zhongyao Li, a French painter and calligrapher of Chinese origin, who has also designed the FDC postmark.
Zhongyao Li had already created the Chinese New Year's stamp in 2006 (Year of the Dog) and those issued between 2009 and 2013.
Pour rappel, cette nouvelle année du cheval a débuté le 31 janvier 2014 marquant alors, en Asie, une période de congés et le début de la fête du printemps.
Le cheval, 7ème animal du zodiaque chinois, est considéré comme fougueux et indépendant mais également travailleur, brillant par sa créativité et son besoin d'aller toujours de l'avant...
A noter sur la lettre ci-dessus ce timbre ainsi qu'une partie de la marge du bloc-feuillet avec la mention "Nouvel an chinois".

The Horse, 7th animal in the Chinese zodiac, is often regarded as spirited and independent but also hard-working, brilliant by his creativity and need to always move forward...
