Le 7 septembre 2018, la Kyrgyz Express Post (KEP), le 2ème opérateur postal désigné du Kirghizstan, a mis en circulation une très jolie série de 3 timbres (conception : Daria Maier, à partir de photographies d'Ivan Turkovskii) consacrée à différentes espèces de papillons vivant dans cette région d'Asie centrale et au Kirghizstan en particulier.
Les papillons sont des insectes appartenant à l'ordre des lépidoptères, jouant un rôle important dans les écosystèmes naturels en tant que pollinisateurs de nombreuses espèces de plantes à fleurs.
Avec cette série, la KEP rappelle que ces insectes très colorés, sont souvent considérés comme des symboles de liberté, d'amour et d'espoir dans de nombreuses traditions populaires à travers le monde.
J'ai eu la chance de recevoir ce splendide FDC officiel (tirage : 400) concernant cette série, avec TAD de Bichkek, la capitale.
On September 7, 2018, the Kyrgyz Express Post (KEP), the 2nd designated postal operator of Kyrgyzstan, put into circulation a very nice series of 3 stamps (design: Daria Maier, from photographs by Ivan Turkovskii) devoted to different butterfly species living in this region of Central Asia and in Kyrgyzstan in particular.
Butterflies are insects belonging to the order Lepidoptera, playing an important role in natural ecosystems as pollinators of many species of flowering plants.
With this series, the KEP is reminding us that these colorful insects are often seen as symbols of freedom, love and hope in many popular traditions around the world.
I was lucky enough to receive this splendid official FDC (print run: 400) regarding this series, with cancellation from Bishkek, the capital.
Il semble que les 3 papillons à l'honneur sur cette série soient représentés pour la toute première fois sur des timbres-poste, en particulier l'espèce Parnassius loxias tashkorensis (50 KGS), un papillon vivant en haute altitude au Kirghizstan et dans l'ouest de la Chine, inscrit dans le Livre Rouge des espèces protégées de la République kirghize.
Le timbre à 100 KGS est consacré à l'espèce Colias regia, un papillon rare vivant principalement dans le massif de Tian Shan, le dernier timbre de cette série (150 KGS) représentant l'espèce Colias christophi, également inscrite dans le Livre Rouge de la République kirghize, tirant son nom de l'entomologiste allemand Hugo Christoph (1831-1894), qui a grandement contribué à l'étude des insectes d'Asie centrale, lorsqu'il travaillait au service de l'Empire russe.
It seems that the 3 butterflies in the spotlight on this series are depicted for the very first time on postage stamps, in particular the species Parnassius loxias tashkorensis (50 KGS), a butterfly living in high altitude in Kyrgyzstan and Western China, listed in the Red Book of Protected Species of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The 100 KGS stamp is dedicated to the species Colias regia, a rare butterfly living mainly in the Tian Shan mountain range, the last stamp of this series (150 KGS) representing the species Colias christophi, also listed in the Red Book of the Kyrgyz Republic, named after the German entomologist Hugo Christoph (1831-1894), who greatly contributed to the study of Central Asian insects while working for the Russian Empire.
Ces 3 timbres, imprimés en Moldavie par Nova Imprim, ont été mis en circulation chacun en feuillet composé de 5 timbres + 1 vignette (tirage : 1200 pour chaque feuillet) ainsi que dans un même bloc-feuillet (tirage : 2000) avec découpe originale de la marge à gauche pour contourner les ailes d'une 4ème espèce de papillon, Parnassius jacquemontii variabilis.

These 3 stamps, printed in Moldova by Nova Imprim, were put into circulation each in a sheetlet composed of 5 stamps + 1 vignette (print run: 1,200 for each sheetlet) as well as in the same souvenir sheet (print run: 2,000) with an original cut of the margin to the left to circumvent the wings of a 4th butterfly species, Parnassius jacquemontii variabilis.
