Dans le cadre de sa série consacrée à la tradition tchèque de la conception des timbres-poste ("Tradice české známkové tvorby"), la poste tchèque a mis en circulation le 20 janvier 2019, un nouveau timbre (tarif domestique "A" - 19 CZK) rendant hommage cette année à l'illustrateur et graphiste Adolf Born (1930-2016).
Un grand merci Bret pour ce FDC officiel ci-dessous (tirage : 3300) concernant ce timbre, imprimé en feuille de 50 timbres ainsi que dans un joli carnet (8 timbres + 4 coupons) !
A noter cet intéressant TAD Premier Jour de České Velenice, sa ville natale (sud du pays, près de la frontière autrichienne), incluant les initiales AB de sa signature, ainsi que que la gravure à gauche (par Miloš Ondráček), reproduisant une de ses illustrations, un bon messager tenant une enveloppe.
As part of its series devoted to the Czech tradition of the design of postage stamps ("Tradice české známkové tvorby"), the Czech Post put into circulation on January 20, 2019, a new stamp (domestic tariff "A" - 19 CZK ) paying tribute this year to the illustrator and graphic artist Adolf Born (1930-2016).

To note this interesting First Day cancellation from České Velenice, his hometown (south of the country, near the Austrian border), including the initials AB of his signature, as well as the engraving on the left (by Miloš Ondráček), reproducing one of his illustrations, a good news messenger holding an envelope.

Il suit les enseignements de l'illustrateur Antonín Pelc et se tourne, à la fin de ses études, vers la caricature.
Il a illustré au total plus de 250 ouvrages et en particulier de nombreuses fables (Ivan Krylov, Ésope ou La Fontaine).
Il a collaboré pendant plus de 30 ans avec le scénariste Miloš Macourek pour créer en particulier la série populaire pour la télévision "Macha a Šebestovou" ("Max et Sally", deux enfants qui découvrent un téléphone magique), ainsi qu'une adaptation de Robinson Crusoé.
Czech painter, illustrator, caricaturist and film director who died on May 22, 2016 at the age of 85, Adolf Born, a graduate of the Prague School of Decorative Arts, started in 1960 a graphic and cinematographic work that marked the Czechoslovakian then Czech spirits.
He followed the teachings of the illustrator Antonín Pelc and turns, at the end of his studies, towards the caricature.
He has illustrated more than 250 books and in particular many fables (Ivan Krylov, Aesop or La Fontaine).
He collaborated for more than 30 years with screenwriter Miloš Macourek to create in particular the popular television series "Macha a Šebestovou" ("Max and Sally", two children who discover a magic phone), as well as an adaptation of Robinson Crusoe.

Adol Born a créé une quinzaine de timbres pour la poste tchèque entre 1993 et 2014.
Bret a eu la gentillesse de m'envoyer le carnet (intérieur ci-dessus, couverture ci-dessous) mis en circulation le même jour (tirage : 14000), composé de 8 timbres + 4 coupons.
Les 2 coupons différents reproduisent des dessins d'Adolf Born, avec son style caractéristique.
On that stamp designed by Vladimír Suchánek, a portrait of Adolf Born is featured on the left, as well as the two characters of Mach and Šebestová on the right, and the dog Jonatán under the letter "A".
Adol Born created around 15 stamps for the Czech Post between 1993 and 2014.
Bret was kind enough to send me the booklet (inside above, cover below) put into circulation the same day (print run: 14,000), consisting of 8 stamps + 4 coupons.
The two different coupons reproduce drawings by Adolf Born, with his characteristic style.
