En 2020, de nombreuses administrations postales ont déjà émis ou vont émettre des timbres consacrés au 75ème anniversaire de la création des Nations Unies : Kirghizstan, Slovaquie, Russie, Moldavie, Belarus, Administration postale des Nations Unies, Belgique, Kazakhstan, Allemagne, Luxembourg, Autriche, Portugal, Turquie, Slovénie, Tunisie, Italie, Serbie, Myanmar, Pologne, Pakistan, Oman, Liban, Irak, Émirats Arabes Unis, Singapour, Inde, Azerbaïdjan, Monaco...
Pour rappel, 51 pays ont fondé l'Organisation des Nations Unies en 1945 suite à la ratification de la Charte des Nations Unies à San Francisco le le 24 octobre 1945.
Le Luxembourg est un de ces pays fondateurs et l'administration postale de ce pays a mis en circulation, le 15 septembre 2020, un timbre (1,40€) illustrant cette thématique.
Ce timbre, imprimé en Belgique par Bpost, a été utilisé sur la lettre ci-dessous, envoyée le 21 septembre 2020 depuis Luxembourg. Merci beaucoup Dimitri ! 
A noter cette flamme postale, mise en circulation du 25 août au 28 septembre 2020, consacré à l'ADAPTH, le centre de compétence national pour l'accessibilité des bâtiments, en particulier pour les personnes à mobilité réduite.

As a reminder, 51 countries founded the United Nations in 1945 following the ratification of the United Nations Charter in San Francisco on October 24, 1945.
Luxembourg is one of these founding countries and the postal administration of this country put into circulation, on September 15, 2020, a stamp (€ 1.40) illustrating this theme.
This stamp, printed in Belgium by Bpost, was used on the letter below, sent on September 21, 2020 from Luxembourg. Thank you very much Dimitri!
To note this slogan postmark, put into circulation from August 25 to September 28, 2020, dedicated to ADAPTH, the national competence center for building accessibility, in particular for people with reduced mobility. 

 

Le logo officiel de ce 75ème anniversaire des Nations Unies (emblème des Nations Unies, mention "UN75" et slogan associé "Façonnons notre avenir ensemble", en français ici...) est reproduit en bas sur ce timbre.
Ce timbre montre également la célèbre sculpture "Revolver au canon noué", une oeuvre en faveur de la paix et de la non-violence, créée en 1980 par l'artiste et écrivain suédois Carl Fredrik Reuterswärd (1934-2016) en hommage à John Lennon.
Il existe trois exemplaires originaux de cette sculpture, réalisés en bronze et mesurant 1,50 mètre de haut, situés à Malmö, à New York devant le siège de l'Organisation des Nations unies et à Luxembourg, devant la Cour de justice de l'Union européenne.
J'ignorais que c'était le gouvernement du Luxembourg qui avait offert cette oeuvre en 1988 aux Nation Unies.
Le Luxembourg n'a curieusement été membre non permanent du Conseil de Sécurité des Nations Unies qu'une seule fois, sur la période 2013-2014, et Gaston Thorn (1928-2007), qui fut premier ministre et président de la Commission européenne, a présidé l'Assemblée générale des Nations unies en 1975.
The official logo of this 75th anniversary of the United Nations (United Nations emblem, mention "UN75" and associated slogan "Shaping our future together", in French here ...) is reproduced at the bottom of this stamp.
This stamp also features the famous sculpture "The Knotted Gun", a work in favor of peace and non-violence, created in 1980 by the Swedish artist and writer Carl Fredrik Reuterswärd (1934-2016) in homage to John Lennon.
There are three original copies of this sculpture, made in bronze and measuring 1.50 meters high, located in Malmö, New York in front of the headquarters of the United Nations and in Luxembourg, in front of the Court of Justice of the European Union.
I did not know that it was the government of Luxembourg which offered this sculpture in 1988 to the United Nations.
Luxembourg has curiously been a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council only once, over the period 2013-2014, and Gaston Thorn (1928-2007), who was Prime Minister and President of the European Commission, chaired the United Nations General Assembly in 1975.
