"Fête du Timbre 2021" stamp and souvenir sheet on FDCs from France

Timbre et bloc-feuillet "Fête du Timbre 2021" sur FDCs de France

Après les voitures de rallye en 2018, les voitures de style en 2019 et les voitures anciennes et les vacances en 2020, "Le timbre fait son cinéma" était le thème retenu pour la Fête du Timbre, qui devait initialement se dérouler les 13 et 14 mars 2021.
Mais cette manifestation a dû être reportée à cause de l'épidémie de Covid-19 et la crise sanitaire liée, organisée finalement dans 79 villes, les 25 et 26 septembre 2021...
Pour rappel, cette manifestation philatélique, qui a lieu chaque année depuis 1938 à l'initiative de la FFAP ("Fédération Française des Associations Philatéliques"), était appelée "Journée du Timbre" jusqu'en 1999. L'émission d'un timbre spécifique concernant cette Journée n'aura lieu qu'en 1944.  
After rally cars in 2018, style cars in 2019 and vintage cars and vacations in 2020, "Le timbre fait son cinéma" ("Stamp makes its cinema") was the theme chosen for the Fête du Timbre, which was initially to take place on the 13 and 14 March 2021.
But this event had to be postponed because of the Covid-19 epidemic and the related health crisis, finally organized in 79 cities, on September 25 and 26, 2021 ...
As a reminder, this philatelic event, which takes place every year since 1938 at the initiative of the FFAP ("French Federation of Philatelic Associations"), was called "Journée du Timbre" ("Stamp Day") until 1999. The issue of a specific stamp devoted to this Stamp Day only took place in 1944. 

Comme les années précédentes, un timbre (1,08€, tirage : 720000) et un bloc-feuillet (2,16€, tirage : 350000) ont été mis en circulation le 26 septembre 2021, conçus par l'artiste, musicien et dessinateur Albin de la Simone (né en 1970), avec la mise à l'honneur de deux voitures de la marque Citroën, célèbres au cinéma : la 2 CV et la Méhari.
Le bloc-feuillet et le timbre figurent sur le pli Premier Jour ci-dessus, avec TAD (chaise de cinéma) conçu par Valérie Besser, de la ville du Puy-en-Velay. Merci beaucoup Jean-Claude ! 
As in previous years, a stamp (€ 1.08, print run: 720,000) and a souvenir sheet (€ 2.16, print run: 350,000) were put into circulation on September 26, 2021, designed by the artist, musician and designer Albin de la Simone (born in 1970), paying tribute to two cars of the Citroën brand, famous in the cinema: the 2 CV and the Méhari.
The souvenir sheet and the stamp are present on the First Day cover above, with postmarks (cinema chair) designed by Valérie Besser, from the city of Le-Puy-en-Velay. Thank you very much Jean-Claude!

Le bloc-feuillet figure également sur l'enveloppe spéciale éditée par la FFAP ci-dessus (illustration : Alain Bouldouyre), avec TAD de Lyon.
L'illustration évoque une des scènes emblématiques du film "Le corniaud" (1965) de Gérard Oury, une dislocation de la 2 CV du brave Bourvil qui part en vacances, après une collision avec la Rolls Royce de l'arrogant Louis de Funès...
La 2 CV est une voiture populaire française produite par Citroën entre 1948 et 1990. Avec un peu plus de 5 millions d'exemplaires, elle fait partie des dix voitures françaises les plus vendues de l'histoire et l'une des plus connues dans le monde.

The illustration evokes one of the emblematic scenes of the film "Le corniaud" (1965) by Gérard Oury, a dislocation of the 2 CV of the brave Bourvil who goes on vacation, after a collision with the Rolls Royce of the arrogant Louis de Funès ...
The 2 CV is a popular French car produced by Citroën between 1948 and 1990. With just over 5 million copies, it is one of the ten best-selling French cars in history and one of the best-known in the world.

 

Le timbre "Citroën Méhari" (gravure : Pierre Bara) figure sur l'enveloppe ci-dessus et la carte ci-dessous également éditées par la FFAP (illustration : Alain Bouldouyre) avec TAD de Lyon.
Ces illustrations ainsi que le timbre évoquent le bâtiment de la Gendarmerie nationale à Saint-Tropez, clin d'œil à la série de films "Le gendarme..." tournés dans les années 1960 et 1970, dans lesquels la Méhari est parfois à l'honneur.
Cet édifice abrite depuis 2016 un musée de la gendarmerie et du cinéma.
La Citroën Méhari est une voiture de plein air à deux places produite par Citroën entre 1968 et 1987 (près de 150000 exemplaires). Sa carrosserie est en plastique ABS et ce modèle a été largement utilisé par l'armée française.

The "Citroën Méhari" stamp (engraved by Pierre Bara) is present on the envelope above and the card below also published by the FFAP (illustration: Alain Bouldouyre) with cancellations from Lyon.

These illustrations as well as the stamp evoke the building of the National Gendarmerie in Saint-Tropez, a nod to the series of films "The gendarme ..." shot in the 1960s and 1970s, in which the Méhari is sometimes the star. Since 2016, this building has housed a Gendarmerie and cinema museum.

The Citroën Méhari is a two-seater open-air car produced by Citroën between 1968 and 1987 (nearly 150,000 units). Its body is made of ABS plastic and this model was widely used by the French army. 

 

Comme les années précédentes, à partir de 12€ d'achat lors de cette manifestation auprès des associations philatéliques locales (Philapostel Rhône-Alpes à Lyon), l'entier postal (tarif "Lettre Verte", tirage limité) ci-dessous était offert, avec le timbre "Citroën Méhari" pré-imprimé, et TAD de Lyon ici.
As in previous years, for a minimum of €12.00 purchased during this event from local philatelic associations ("Philapostel Rhône-Alpes" in Lyon), the postal stationery ("Green Letter" rate, limited edition) below was offered for free, with the pre-printed "Citroën Méhari" stamp, and the same cancellation from Lyon here.
