"Tokyo 2020 - Olympic gold medals" stamp set on cover from Slovenia

Série "Tokyo 2020 - médailles d'or olympiques" sur lettre de Slovénie

Comme elle l'avait fait en 2008 pour la médaille d'or olympique de Primož Kozmus (lancer du marteau), en 2012 pour la médaille d'or d'Urška Žolnir (judo) et en 2016 pour la médaille d'or de Tina Trstenjak (judo), la poste slovène a mis en circulation, le 15 octobre 2021, une série de 3 timbres spéciaux pour célébrer les 3 médailles d'or remportées par des athlètes slovènes lors des jeux olympiques de Tokyo 2020, organisés du 23 juillet au 8 août 2021 (à cause de la pandémie mondiale).
Avec ces 3 médailles d'or, la Slovénie a connu son meilleur résultat olympique de son histoire depuis sa 1ère participation en 1992 à Barcelone. Avec 5 médailles au total (3 or, 1 argent, 1 bronze), le pays égalise son meilleur total (5 médailles également lors des jeux de Beijing en 2008).
Ces 3 nouveaux timbres (1,33€, tirage : 35000 chacun) ont été utilisés pour affranchir cette jolie lettre envoyée le 24 novembre 2021 depuis la capitale, Ljubljana. Merci beaucoup Petra !
As it was done in 2008 for the Olympic gold medal of Primož Kozmus (hammer throw), in 2012 for the gold medal of Urška Žolnir (judo) and in 2016 for the gold medal of Tina Trstenjak (judo), the Slovenian Post put into circulation, on October 15, 2021, a series of 3 special stamps to celebrate the 3 gold medals won by Slovenian athletes during the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, organized from July 23 to August 8, 2021 (due to the global pandemic).
With these 3 gold medals, Slovenia had its best Olympic result in its history since its first participation in 1992 in Barcelona. With 5 medals in total (3 gold, 1 silver, 1 bronze), the country equals its best total (5 medals too at the Beijing Games in 2008).
These 3 new stamps (€1.33, print run: 35,000 each) were used to stamp this pretty cover sent on November 24, 2021 from the capital, Ljubljana. Thank you very much Petra!

 

Conçus par Villa Creativa à partir de photographies de Aleš Fevžer, ces 3 timbres ont été imprimés (en Croatie) chacun en feuillet de 10 timbres avec mention "Médaille d'or olympique pour la Slovénie" (comme ci-dessus) dans les marges supérieures et inférieures (en slovène, anglais, français et allemand).
L'emblème du comité olympique slovène est également présent dans les marges ainsi que sur les 3 timbres.
Janja Garnbret (née en 1999), multi-médaillée d'or lors de championnats du monde et d'Europe, a inscrit son nom dans l'histoire en devenant la toute première championne olympique en escalade, dans l'épreuve de combiné (vitesse, bloc et difficulté).
Après une 8ème place lors des jeux de Londres en 2012 et une 6ème place à Rio en 2016, Benjamin Savšek (né en 1987) a aussi marqué l'histoire de son pays en devenant le 1er athlète slovène a remporté une médaille olympique (or) en canoë, dans l'épreuve de C1 slalom.
Le 3ème médaillé d'or, Primož Roglič (né en 1989), est plus connu, ayant remporté 3 fois le Tour d'Espagne et fini 2ème du Tour de France 2020, derrière son compatriote Tadej Pogačar (médaillé de bronze à Tokyo dans la course en ligne).
Ancien sauteur à ski, Primož Roglič a remporté à Tokyo l'épreuve du contre-la-montre, avec plus d'une minute d'avance sur les suivants.
A noter qu'un bloc-feuillet avait déjà été émis en 2020 en son honneur (et Tadej Pogačar) pour saluer leur exploit lors du Tour de France 2020.

Designed by Villa Creativa from photographs by Aleš Fevžer, these 3 stamps were printed (in Croatia) each in a sheetlet of 10 stamps with the words "Olympic Gold Medal for Slovenia" (as above) in the upper and lower margins (in Slovenian, English, French and German).

The emblem of the Slovenian Olympic Committee is also present in the margins as well as on the 3 stamps.

Janja Garnbret (born in 1999), multi-gold medalist at the world and European championships, wrote her name in history by becoming the very first Olympic champion in climbing, in the combined event (speed, bouldering, lead).

After an 8th place at the London Games in 2012 and a 6th place in Rio in 2016, Benjamin Savšek (born in 1987) also marked the history of his country by becoming the first Slovenian athlete to win an Olympic medal (gold) in canoeing, in the C1 slalom event.

Former ski jumper, Primož Roglič won the road time trial event in Tokyo, with more than a minute ahead of the next riders.

To note that a souvenir sheet had already been issued in 2020 in his honor (and Tadej Pogačar) to salute their achievement during the Tour de France 2020.
