"Tokyo 2020 Olympics" stamp set on cover from Kosovo

Série "Jeux olympiques Tokyo 2020" sur lettre du Kosovo

Suite à la reconnaissance du comité national olympique du Kosovo par le Comité International Olympique (CIO) le 9 décembre 2014, ce pays a participé pour la première fois de son histoire aux jeux olympiques de Rio de Janeiro en 2016.
Le Kosovo participait donc pour la 2ème fois à des jeux olympiques en 2021, à Tokyo, après un report d'un an à cause de la pandémie mondiale de Covid-19.
11 athlètes (5 hommes, 6 femmes) étaient engagés à Tokyo, dans 6 sports : judo, boxe, athlétisme, lutte libre, tir et natation.
Le 20 juillet 2021, la poste du Kosovo a mis en circulation une série (2 timbres + 1 bloc-feuillet) consacrée à cette 2ème participation du pays aux jeux olympiques de Tokyo 2020 ("Lojërat Olimpike Tokyo 2020"). 
Cette série complète a été utilisée pour affranchir la jolie lettre ci-dessous envoyée en recommandé le 9 août 2022 depuis la ville de Prizren, située dans le sud du pays. Merci beaucoup Sabri ! 
Following the recognition of the National Olympic Committee of Kosovo by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) on December 9, 2014, this country participated for the first time in its history in the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro in 2016.
Kosovo was therefore taking part in the Olympic Games for the second time in 2021, in Tokyo, after a one-year postponement due to the global Covid-19 pandemic.
11 athletes (5 men, 6 women) were engaged in Tokyo, in 6 sports: judo, boxing, athletics, freestyle wrestling, shooting and swimming.
On July 20, 2021, the Kosovo Post put into circulation a series (2 stamps + 1 souvenir sheet) dedicated to this 2nd participation of the country in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games ("Lojërat Olimpike Tokyo 2020").
This complete series was used to stamp the pretty letter below sent by registered mail on August 9, 2022 from the city of Prizren, located in the south of the country. Thank you very much Sabri!

 

Les 2 timbres de cette série (1€ et 2,10€ - tirage : 7000), conçus par H. Ademi en collaboration avec le comité olympique du Kosovo, imprimés dans un même feuillet composé de 6 timbres (3 de chaque) représentent des athlètes du Kosovo dans des épreuves de judo (on reconnait Majlinda Kelmendi, championne olympique à Rio) et d'athlétisme (on reconnait Musa Hajdari, spécialiste du 800 mètres).
Le bloc-feuillet numéroté (2€) est consacré à la lutte, avec présence d'un disque rouge symbolisant le Japon et, sauf erreur, la silhouette du pont Arc-en-ciel (achevé en 1993 au-dessus de la baie de Tolyo) dans la marge à gauche.
A Tokyo, le Kosovo a remporté la 2ème et 3ème médaille d'or olympique de son histoire, à nouveau en judo féminin, grâce à Distria Krasniqi et Nora Gjakova.
A noter que l'emblème du comité olympique du Kosovo est curieusement absent sur ces timbres (il figurait sur les timbres émis en 2016 pour les jeux de Rio...).

The two stamps of this series (€1.00 and €2.10 - print run: 7,000), designed by H. Ademi in collaboration with the Olympic Committee of Kosovo, printed in the same sheetlet composed of 6 stamps (3 of each) represent Kosovo athletes in judo (we recognize Majlinda Kelmendi, Olympic champion in Rio) and athletics (we recognize Musa Hajdari, 800 meters specialist).

The numbered souvenir sheet (€2.00) is devoted to wrestling, with the presence of a red disc symbolizing Japan and, unless I am mistaken, the silhouette of the Rainbow Bridge (completed in 1993 above the bay of Tolyo) in the left margin.

In Tokyo, Kosovo won the 2nd and 3rd Olympic gold medal in its history, again in women's judo, thanks to Distria Krasniqi and Nora Gjakova.

To note that the emblem of the Olympic Committee of Kosovo is curiously missing on these stamps (it appeared on the stamps issued in 2016 for the Rio Games...).
