"Beijing 2022 Olympic and Paralympic Games" stamps on cover from Poland

Timbres "Jeux olympiques et paralympiques Beijing 2022" sur lettre de Pologne

Le 24 janvier 2022, la poste polonaise a mis en circulation 2 timbres consacrés respectivement aux jeux olympiques et aux jeux paralympiques d'hiver de Beijing, organisés du 4 au 20 février 2022 et du 4 au 13 mars 2022.
La poste polonaise est ainsi l'une des rares administrations postales dans le monde à émettre des timbres consacrés aux jeux paralympiques d'été et d'hiver, ce qui est le cas depuis les jeux de Rio 2016.
Ces 2 timbres (4 PLN, tirage : 144000), conçus par Jan Konarzewski, ont été utilisés sur cette jolie lettre envoyée le 7 octobre 2022 depuis la ville de Mirków (sud-ouest du pays). Merci beaucoup Bartek!
A noter ce TAD illustré spécial évoquant, pour la 5ème fois depuis 2017, le transport de courrier à vélo depuis la ville d'Oleśnica, jusqu'à la ville de Mirków cette année (trajet de 19 km).
77 lettres (dont 11 à destination de l'étranger comme ma lettre!) ont ainsi été transportées le 7 octobre 2022 par 2 cyclistes, Adam Szuler et son fils, Tomasz.
On January 24, 2022, the Polish Post put into circulation two stamps dedicated respectively to the Olympic and the Paralympic Winter Games in Beijing, organized from February 4 to 20, 2022 and from March 4 to 13, 2022.
The Polish Post is thus one of the few postal administrations in the world to issue stamps dedicated to Summer and Winter Paralympic Games, which has been the case since the Rio 2016 Games.
These two stamps (4 PLN, print run: 144000), designed by Jan Konarzewski, were used on this pretty cover sent on October 7, 2022 from the city of Mirków (south-west of the country). Thank you very much Bartek!
To note this special illustrated postmark evoking, for the 5th time since 2017, the transport of mail by bicycle from the city of Oleśnica, to the city of Mirków this year (19 km journey).

A noter en bas à gauche cette empreinte appliquée avec une encre bleue, certifiant que cette lettre a été transporté en vélo entre ces 2 villes ("Przewieziono pocztą rowerową na trasie OLEŚNICA – MIRKÓW"). 
L'inventeur britannique John Kemp Starley a conçu le premier vélo "de sécurité" à succès en 1885, c'est ce vélo qui est représenté sur le cachet illustré ci-dessus.
Le timbre ci-dessus à droite (traces de ski de fond et logo du comité olympique polonais) est consacré aux jeux olympiques de Beijing 2022 où la délégation polonaise était composée de 57 athlètes (30 femmes, 27 hommes) engagés dans 10 sports différents.
La Pologne n'a remporté qu'une médaille de bronze (Dawid Kubacki en saut à ski, tremplin normal), son pire résultat depuis les jeux de Nagano en 1998.
Deux athlètes engagés en para ski de fond et para biathlon, Iweta Faron et Witold Skupień, sont représentés sur l'autre timbre ci-dessus, consacré aux jeux paralympiques de Beijing (le logo du comité paralympique polonais est présent sur ce timbre ainsi que dans la marge attenante).
Lors de ces jeux paralympiques, la délégation polonaise (8 hommes et 3 femmes, engagés dans 4 sports) n'a remporté aucune médaille. 

To note at the bottom left this imprint applied with blue ink, certifying that this letter was transported by bicycle between these 2 cities ("Przewieziono pocztą rowerową na trasie OLEŚNICA – MIRKÓW").

British inventor John Kemp Starley designed the first successful "safety" bicycle in 1885, it is this bicycle that is pictured in the pictured postmark above.

The stamp above on the right (cross-country skiing's track and logo of the Polish Olympic Committee) is dedicated to the Beijing 2022 Olympic Games where the Polish delegation was made up of 57 athletes (30 women, 27 men) engaged in 10 different sports.

Poland won only one bronze medal (Dawid Kubacki in ski jumping, normal hill), their worst result since the Nagano Games in 1998.

Two athletes engaged in para cross-country skiing and para biathlon, Iweta Faron and Witold Skupień, are featured on the other stamp above, dedicated to the Beijing Paralympic Games (the logo of the Polish Paralympic Committee is present on this stamp as well as in adjoining margin).

At these Paralympic Games, the Polish delegation (8 men and 3 women, involved in 4 sports) did not win any medals.
