Bloc-feuillet "50 ans de relations diplomatiques avec la Thaïlande" sur lettre du Bangladesh

Le 5 octobre 2022, la poste du Bangladesh a mis en circulation un intéressant bloc-feuillet (2 timbres à 10 BDT) consacré au 50ème anniversaire (Jubilé d'Or), jour pour jour, de l'établissement de relations diplomatiques avec la Thaïlande.
Ce bloc-feuillet (prix de vente : 30 BDT) figure sur cette jolie lettre envoyée le 7 décembre 2022 depuis la 2ème ville du pays, Chattogram (Chittagong). Merci beaucoup Tofail !
Le timbre à gauche représente le Mémorial national des martyrs, le monument national du Bangladesh, érigé en particulier à la mémoire de ceux qui sont morts pendant la guerre d'indépendance en 1971, l'autre timbre étant consacré au temple de marbre (Wat Benchama Bophit), le plus récent des grands temples bouddhiques de Bangkok, construit en 1899 à l'initiative du roi Rama V.
Des animaux emblématiques des 2 pays, le tigre et l'éléphant, ainsi que les oiseaux nationaux, le shama dayal (Copsychus saularis) et le faisan prélat (Lophura diardi), figurent dans la marge supérieure. 
Le nénuphar blanc, fleur nationale du Bangladesh et les fleurs de Cassia fistula ou canéficier, dont l'arbre et la fleur jaune sont des symboles nationaux en Thaïlande, figurent également sur ce bloc-feuillet. 
On October 5, 2022, the Bangladesh Post put into circulation an interesting souvenir sheet (2 stamps at 10 BDT) dedicated to the 50th anniversary (Golden Jubilee), to the day, of the establishment of diplomatic relations with Thailand.
This souvenir sheet (selling price: 30 BDT) was used on this pretty cover sent on December 7, 2022 from the 2nd city of the country, Chattogram (Chittagong). Thank you very much Tofail!
The stamp on the left depicts the National Martyrs' Memorial, the national monument of Bangladesh, erected especially in memory of those who died during the Independence War in 1971, the other stamp being dedicated to the Marble Temple (Wat Benchama Bophit), the most recent of the great Buddhist temples in Bangkok, built in 1899 on the initiative of King Rama V.
Emblematic animals of the two countries, the tiger and the elephant, as well as the national birds, the Oriental Magpie-Robin (Copsychus saularis) and the Siamese fireback (Lophura diardi), appear in the upper margin.
The white water lily, the national flower of Bangladesh, and the flowers of Cassia fistula or golden rain tree, whose tree and yellow flower are national symbols in Thailand, are also featured on this souvenir sheet.

 

Tofail a utilisé d'autres timbres, en particulier un timbre (10 BDT), émis le 1er août 2021 pour commémorer le 50ème anniversaire du Concert pour le Bangladesh, considéré comme le premier concert de charité de l'histoire, organisé le 1er août 1971 au Madison Square Garden de New York par George Harrison et Ravi Shankar (représentés sur le timbre). Ce concert était organisé pour venir en aide aux sinistrés suite au passage du cyclone Bhola ayant causé la mort d'environ 400000 personnes.
Le timbre en haut à gauche (10 BDT) a été émis le 25 juin 2022 à l'occasion de l'inauguration du pont de Padma par la Première Ministre Sheikh Hasina. Ce pont en treillis, routier et ferroviaire (6,15 km de long), a été construit entre 2014 et 2022 sur le fleuve Padma majoritairement alimenté par le Gange, dans le sud-ouest de Dhaka.
Ce pont est considéré comme le projet de construction le plus important de l'histoire du Bangladesh.
Un autre timbre ci-dessus (10 BDT), émis le 30 juin 2022, est consacré au 50ème anniversaire de la présentation du premier budget du pays, juste après l'indépendance. Ce timbre montre en particulier Tajuddin Ahmad (1925-1975) qui a dirigé le gouvernement provisoire du Bangladesh en tant que premier ministre pendant la guerre de libération du Bangladesh en 1971 et est considéré comme l'une des figures les plus importantes du pays, avec Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, à ses côtés sur la photographie d'époque reproduite sur le timbre. 

Tofail used other stamps, in particular a stamp (10 BDT), issued on August 1, 2021 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Concert for Bangladesh, considered the first charity concert in history, orgnized on August 1, 1971 at Madison Square Garden in New York by George Harrison and Ravi Shankar (featured on the stamp). This concert was organized to help the disaster victims following the passage of cyclone Bhola which caused the death of approximately 400,000 people.

The top left stamp (10 BDT) was issued on June 25, 2022 on the occasion of the inauguration of the Padma Bridge by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. This truss road and rail bridge (6.15 km long) was built between 2014 and 2022 on the Padma river mainly fed by the Ganges, in the south-west of Dhaka.

This bridge is considered the most important construction project in the history of Bangladesh.

Another stamp above (10 BDT), issued on June 30, 2022, is dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the presentation of the country's first budget, just after independence. This stamp specifically shows Tajuddin Ahmad (1925-1975) who led the Provisional Government of Bangladesh as Prime Minister during the Bangladesh Liberation War in 1971 and is considered one of the most important figures in the country, along with Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, at his side in the vintage photograph reproduced on the stamp.
