80 years of the Zunyi Conference in China

In January 1935 (the exact date is unclear), 3 months after the start of the Long March, the Red Army, chased and harassed by Chiang Kai-shek, fled to the west and made stops in the city of Zunyi in the Guizhou Province.
As a reminder, this Long March is a journey of more than a year, led by the Chinese Red Army and a part of the leaders of the Chinese Communist Party to escape the Kuomintang National Revolutionary Army of Chiang Kai-shek during the Chinese civil war.
This Long March cost the lives of between 90,000 to 100,000 men within the Communist troops...

On January 15, 2015, China Post has issued a set of 2 stamps (design : Shen Yaoyi) dedicated to the 80th anniversary of this Zunyi meeting, showing respectively the building where the meeting was held and the various protagonists, including Mao Zedong.
A big thank you Jia Yi for this interesting FDC above regarding this series, with a postmark from Shanghai :-)
To note that China Post has already issued many series of stamps dedicated to this event (1960, 1965 or 1985).
When the Red Army arrived in Zunyi in January 1935, it had lost 60% of its workforce (around 60,000 men) and Mao Zedong then emerged as the leader of the Communist Party, facing a line supported by Bo Gu, Zhou Enlai or Otto Braun...
Mao Zedong did not leave power until his death in 1976, first as head of the Chinese Communist Party and after as head of state.
This city of Zunyi later became one of the five "holy places" of Maoism, the third in chronological order, after Shaoshan, his native village, and Jinggangshan, the first "soviet"...
