"Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic & Paralympic Games" stamps on FDCs from Lithuania

Timbres "Jeux olympiques et paralympiques de Milano Cortina 2026" sur FDCs de Lituanie 

Comme de coutume, la poste lituanienne a mis en circulation, le 5 février 2026, un nouveau timbre consacré à des jeux olympiques, en l'occurrence la 25ème édition des jeux olympiques d'hiver, organisés du 6 au 22 février 2026 à Milan et Cortina d'Ampezzo en Italie.
Ce timbre (2€, tirage : 15000), conçu par Natalija Vaišnorienė et imprimé en feuillet de 10 timbres, figure sur le FDC officiel ci-dessous, avec TAD de Vilnius.
La Lituanie participe en tant qu'état indépendant aux jeux olympiques d'hiver depuis 1928 (Saint-Moritz) et la poste lituanienne avait émis des timbres consacrés à ces jeux d'hiver pour chaque édition depuis 1992 (Albertville), sauf en 2022. La Lituanie avait également participé à ces jeux d'hiver à partir de 1992, les athlètes lituaniens représentant l'URSS entre 1948 et 1988.
As is customary, the Lithuanian Post issued a new stamp on February 5, 2026, dedicated to the Olympic Games—specifically the 25th edition of the Winter Olympics, held from February 6 to 22, 2026, in Milan and Cortina d'Ampezzo, Italy.
This stamp (€2.00, print run: 15,000), designed by Natalija Vaišnorienė and printed in sheetlet of 10, appears on the official First Day Cover below, with cancellation from Vilnius.
Lithuania has participated in the Winter Olympics as an independent state since 1928 (St. Moritz), and the Lithuanian Post has issued stamps for every edition since 1992 (Albertville), with the exception of 2022.
Lithuania also participated in the Winter Games starting in 1992, whereas Lithuanian athletes had represented the USSR between 1948 and 1988.

A Milano Cortina, la Lituanie alignait une délégation record de 17 athlètes (8 hommes, 9 femmes) engagés dans 4 sports : ski alpin, biathlon, ski de fond et patinage artistique.
Comme pour les éditions précédentes, la Lituanie n'a remporté aucune médaille lors de ces jeux de Milano Cortina 2026, ce qui n'est pas le cas pour ses voisins baltes, Lettonie (2 médailles) et Estonie (1 médaille).

For Milano Cortina, Lithuania fielded a record delegation of 17 athletes (8 men, 9 women) competing in four sports: alpine skiing, biathlon, cross-country skiing, and figure skating.
As with previous editions, Lithuania did not win any medals at the Milano Cortina 2026 Games—unlike its Baltic neighbors, Latvia (2 medals) and Estonia (1 medal). 

La Lituanie n'avait plus participé à une édition des jeux paralympiques d'hiver depuis 1994 (Lillehammer). Elle a fait son retour lors de la 14ème édition des jeux paralympiques d'hiver, organisée à Milano Cortina du 6 au 15 mars 2026.
Sans doute pour célébrer ce retour, la poste lituanienne a mis en circulation, le 6 mars 2026, un timbre consacré à ces jeux paralympiques de Milano Cortina 2026, le tout premier timbre lituanien ayant pour thème des jeux paralympiques.
Ce timbre (2€, tirage : 15000), également conçu par Natalija Vaišnorienė et imprimé en feuillet de 10 timbres, figure sur le FDC officiel ci-dessus, avec TAD de Vilnius.
A Milano Cortina, la Lituanie n'était représentée que par un seul athlète, Rapolas Micevičius (né en 1990), engagé dans l'épreuve de snowboard cross (le sport stylisé sur le timbre). Cet athlète a eu la jambe amputée en octobre 2021 après un accident de kitesurf.
Lithuania had not participated in the Winter Paralympics since 1994 (Lillehammer). The country made its return at the 14th edition of the Winter Paralympics, held in Milano Cortina from March 6 to 15, 2026.
Likely to celebrate this return, the Lithuanian Post issued a stamp on March 6, 2026, dedicated to the Milano Cortina 2026 Paralympics—the very first Lithuanian stamp themed around the Paralympic Games.
This stamp (€2.00, print run: 15,000)—also designed by Natalija Vaišnorienė and printed in sheetlet of 10—appears on the official First Day Cover above, with postmark from Lithuania.
Lithuania was represented at Milano Cortina by a single athlete, Rapolas Micevičius (born in 1990), who competed in the snowboard cross event (the sport depicted on the stamp). He had undergone a leg amputation in October 2021 following a kitesurfing accident.  

"50 Years of the Circus-Theatre Roncalli" special postmark and stamps on FDC from Germany

TAD et timbres "50 ans du Cirque-Théâtre Roncalli" sur FDC d'Allemagne 

Le Cirque Roncalli, renommé en 2018 Cirque-Théâtre Roncalli, est une célèbre compagnie de cirque fondée à Vienne en 1975 par les Autrichiens Bernhard Paul et André Heller.
Caractérisé par une fusion unique d'éléments circassiens traditionnels et théâtraux, le cirque a établi son siège et ses quartiers d'hiver à Cologne, se distinguant par ses spectacles qui mêlent acrobaties, art et poésie.
Le concept de Roncalli se démarque des cirques traditionnels en cherchant à revitaliser l'art circassien, avec un accent sur la beauté esthétique et l'authenticité plutôt que sur l'aspect commercial. Avec l'introduction de technologies telles que les projections holographiques, qui ont remplacé les animaux vivants dans les spectacles, le cirque est également reconnu pour son engagement à promouvoir un divertissement éthique et durable. 
Le 20 avril 2026, la Deutsche Post a mis en circulation une impressionnante série de timbres - 2 feuillets de 10 timbres, 2 blocs-feuillets de 4 timbres - consacrée au 50ème anniversaire de la création de ce Cirque-Théâtre Roncalli.
A noter qu'il ne s'agit pas de timbres officiels mais de timbres pré-personnalisés autocollants - avec mention "Deutsche Post" en bas à droite, au lieu de "Deutschland" sur les timbres du programme philatélique.
Circus Roncalli—renamed Circus-Theater Roncalli in 2018—is a renowned circus company founded in Vienna in 1975 by Austrians Bernhard Paul and André Heller.
Characterized by a unique blend of traditional circus and theatrical elements, the circus is based in Cologne (where it also maintains its winter quarters) and is distinguished by performances that combine acrobatics, art, and poetry.
Roncalli's concept sets it apart from traditional circuses by seeking to revitalize the circus arts, placing the emphasis on aesthetic beauty and authenticity rather than commercialism. With the introduction of technologies such as holographic projections—which have replaced live animals in its shows—the circus is also recognized for its commitment to promoting ethical and sustainable entertainment.
On April 20, 2026, Deutsche Post released an impressive set of stamps—comprising two sheets of 10 stamps and two souvenir sheets of 4 stamps—dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the founding of Circus-Theater Roncalli.
It should be noted that these are not official stamps but rather pre-personalized self-adhesive stamps, bearing the inscription "Deutsche Post" at the bottom right instead of "Deutschland," as found on stamps from the standard philatelic program. 

Deux timbres (0,95€) extraits d'un des 2 feuillets (10 timbres - "Un amour de la nostalgie – L'affiche Casaro 1993", tirage inconnu, prix de vente : 10,45€) ont été utilisés sur la lettre ci-dessus, avec TAD Premier Jour de Cologne. Merci beaucoup Jens !
A noter que Cologne était la seule ville, en dehors de Bonn (avec 5 TADs différents), où cette série a été mise en vente Premier Jour.
Les timbres ci-dessus ont en effet été créés à partir de l'affiche, conçue par l'artiste Renato Casaro dans les années 1990. L'illustration met en scène des extraits du spectacle légendaire "Voyage vers l'Arc-en-ciel", qui a propulsé le Cirque Roncalli sur la scène internationale en 1980. Ce créateur d'affiches de cinéma de renommée mondiale a immortalisé l'atmosphère unique de Roncalli et la troupe d'artistes, mis en scène comme de véritables héros de cinéma.
Le timbre en haut à droite reproduit le logo Roncalli, encadré d'arabesques dorées, avec un ciel étoilé en arrière-plan. Ce logo symbolise l'univers romantique et magique du cirque. Au premier plan, le clown autrichien Fredi Codrelli (1919-2004), partenaire et ami de longue date de Bernhard Paul, alias Zippo. 
Ce même clown Fredi Codrelli est représenté sur l'autre timbre. Renato Casaro a su capturer avec une grande précision ses gestes distinctifs et ses expressions faciales classiques. Pour Bernhard Paul, Codrelli était bien plus qu'un partenaire et un ami : il était un mentor qui l'initia à l'art du clown à ses débuts chez Roncalli.

It is worth noting that Cologne was the only city—aside from Bonn (which had five different First Day postmarks)—where this series was released in First Day of Issue.
The stamps above were created based on a poster designed by artist Renato Casaro in the 1990s. The illustration features scenes from the legendary show "Journey to the Rainbow", which propelled Circus Roncalli onto the international stage in 1980. This world-renowned film poster artist captured the unique atmosphere of Roncalli and its troupe of performers, portraying them as true cinematic heroes.
The stamp at the top right reproduces the Roncalli logo, framed by golden arabesques with a starry sky in the background. This logo symbolizes the circus's romantic and magical world. In the foreground is the Austrian clown Fredi Codrelli (1919-2004), a longtime partner and friend of Bernhard Paul, alias Zippo.
This same clown, Fredi Codrelli, appears on the other stamp. Renato Casaro skillfully captured his distinctive gestures and classic facial expressions with great precision. For Bernhard Paul, Codrelli was far more than just a partner and friend; he was a mentor who introduced him to the art of clowning during his early days at Roncalli.  

Sepac 2024 (Main tourist attractions) stamp on FDC from Gibraltar

Pour rappel, la Small European Postal Administration Cooperation (SEPAC) est une association de petites administrations postales européennes (15 actuellement), créée en 1999, afin de discuter de diverses questions philatéliques et postales spécifiques à ces petites structures.
Depuis 2007 (thème des paysages), des timbres sur un thème commun sont émis par certains membres (9 en 2024, tous sauf Guernesey, le Vatican et l'île de Man) et une élection du plus beau timbre Sepac est organisée depuis 2010. 
L'administration postales de Gibraltar participe à ces émissions Sepac depuis 2007 (sauf en 2019, 2020, 2022 et 2023) et a émis, le 25 juin 2024, son 11ème timbre Sepac, dont le thème était cette année consacré aux principales attractions touristiques. 
Ce timbre (1£), le seul à inclure le logo Sepac, fait partie d'une série (6 timbres, conception : Stephen Perera à partir d'illustrations de Jonathan Pointer) imprimée (en France par Cartor Security Printers) également sous forme de bloc-feuillet. 
As a reminder, the Small European Postal Administration Cooperation (SEPAC) is an association of small European postal administrations (15 currently), created in 1999, in order to discuss various philatelic and postal issues specific to these small structures.
Since 2007 (theme : landscapes), stamps having a common theme are issued by some members (9 in 2024, all except Guernsey, Vatican City and Isle of Man) and an election for the most beautiful Sepac stamp has been organized for the first time in 2010. 
Gibraltar's postal administration has participated in these SEPAC issues since 2007 (except in 2019, 2020, 2022, and 2023) and, on June 25, 2024, released its 11th SEPAC stamp, featuring the theme of main tourist attractions.
This £1.00 stamp—the only one to include the SEPAC logo—is part of a six-stamp series (designed by Stephen Perera based on illustrations by Jonathan Pointer) that was also printed (by Cartor Security Printers in France) as a miniature sheet.  

C'est ce bloc-feuillet qui figure sur le FDC officiel ci-dessus avec TAD représentant un dauphin, en lien avec le thème illustré sur le timbre Sepac, au milieu à droite.
Ce timbre Sepac est en effet consacré à l'observation des dauphins à Gibraltar. Les eaux entourant Gibraltar abritent depuis longtemps une faune marine variée, incluant plusieurs espèces de dauphins.
Le détroit de Gibraltar constitue une voie migratoire essentielle pour ces créatures majestueuses, attirées par l'abondance de poissons et des courants favorables. Si les excursions modernes d'observation des dauphins permettent aux visiteurs d'admirer de près ces merveilles marines, elles reflètent également la relation historique de Gibraltar avec la mer ainsi que son engagement en faveur d'un tourisme durable. 
L'illustration sur l'enveloppe est inspirée du 1er timbre de cette série (0,30£), consacré au Commonwealth Park. Inauguré en 2014, ce parc constitue une oasis de tranquillité au cœur du paysage urbain de Gibraltar.
Les 4 autres timbres de cette série illustrent d'autres sites touristiques majeurs de Gibraltar : les macaques de Barbarie (0,60£), le château Maure (0,90£), la plage de Catalan Bay (1,15£) et le Skywalk (4£). 
This is the miniature sheet featured on the official First Day Cover above, bearing a special postmark depicting a dolphin—a design that ties in with the theme of the Sepac stamp located in the middle right.
This Sepac stamp is indeed dedicated to dolphin watching in Gibraltar. The waters surrounding Gibraltar have long been home to diverse marine life, including various species of dolphins.
The Strait of Gibraltar serves as a crucial migratory route for these majestic creatures, drawn by the rich abundance of fish and favourable currents. While modern dolphin-watching tours offer visitors the chance to witness these marine marvels up close, they also reflect Gibraltar's longstanding relationship with the sea and its commitment to sustainable tourism practices.
The illustration on the envelope is inspired by the first stamp in the series (£0.30), which features Commonwealth Park. Opened in 2014, this park offers an oasis of tranquility amidst Gibraltar's urban landscape.
The other four stamps in the series depict major Gibraltar landmarks: the Barbary macaques (£0.60), the Moorish Castle (£0.90), Catalan Bay Beach (£1.15), and the Skywalk (£4.00).  

"100 Years of the FIP - Fédération Internationale de Philatélie" s/s on cover from Slovenia

La Fédération Internationale de Philatélie (FIP) a été créée le 18 juin 1926 à Paris par les représentants de 6 pays : Allemagne, Autriche, Belgique, France, Pays-Bas et Suisse.
Dès le début, la FIP a œuvré pour promouvoir la collection de timbres et la philatélie, favoriser l'amitié entre les peuples, entretenir des liens avec le secteur philatélique et les administrations postales, et soutenir les expositions philatéliques par son patronage et sa reconnaissance.
Aujourd’hui, la FIP regroupe 90 fédérations nationales avec lesquelles elle organise des conférences, des séminaires pour les futurs jurés lors de ses expositions et structure l'évolution de la façon de collectionner et d'exposer en introduisant de nouvelles classes de compétition.
Enfin, elle parraine et co-organise avec les fédérations nationales les expositions mondiales (générales et spécialisées) qui sont de véritable "jeux olympiques" de la philatélie.

Today, the FIP brings together 90 national federations; with them, it organizes conferences and seminars for aspiring jurors during its exhibitions and shapes the evolution of collecting and exhibiting practices by introducing new competitive classes.
Finally, it sponsors and co-organizes—alongside national federations—world exhibitions (both general and specialized) that serve as the true "Olympic Games" of philately.

La FIP célèbre donc le 100ème anniversaire de sa création en 2026 et un certain nombre d'administrations postales ont émis ou vont émettre des timbres sur ce thème, la plupart en reproduisant le logo officiel de ces 100 ans : Belarus, Monaco, République dominicaine, Serbie, Thaïlande, Bulgarie, Russie, Slovénie, Roumanie, Brésil, Uruguay, Israël, Chypre, Jordanie, Pakistan, Espagne, Bosnie-Herzégovine (Sarajevo), Émirats Arabes Unis, Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon, Grèce...
Le 8 mai 2026, la poste slovène a mis en circulation un bloc-feuillet (tarif "D" pour un envoi ordinaire international 1ère classe - 2,21€ actuellement, tirage : 13000, conception : Gorazd Učakar) consacré au 100ème anniversaire de la FIP ("100-letnica Mednarodne filatelistične zveze"), utilisé sur la lettre ci-dessus envoyée le 20 mai 2026 depuis la ville de Kranj. L'emblème de la FIP associé au logo de ce 100ème anniversaire sont reproduits dans la marge supérieure, le timbre illustrant un globe terrestre avec les différents continents et océans constitués de timbres stylisés multicolores.
L'association philatélique slovène (Filatelistična zveza Slovenije - FZS) est membre de la FIP depuis 1993.

On May 8, 2026, the Slovenian Post issued a souvenir sheet (rate "D" for ordinary international first-class mail - currently €2.21, print run: 13,000, design: Gorazd Učakar) commemorating the FIP's 100th anniversary ("100-letnica Mednarodne filatelistične zveze"); it was used on the cover above, sent on May 20, 2026, from the city of Kranj. The FIP emblem, combined with the 100th-anniversary logo, appears in the upper margin, while the stamp itself depicts a globe with continents and oceans formed by multicolored stylized stamps.
The Slovenian Philatelic Association (Filatelistična zveza Slovenije – FZS) has been a member of the FIP since 1993.  

"Belfort - Tour de France 2026's stage city" postmark on cover from France

TAD "Belfort - Ville arrivée du Tour de France 2026" sur lettre de France 

Le Tour de France cycliste est déjà passé plus de 30 fois par la ville de Belfort (11 fois ville de départ, 4 fois ville d'arrivée) depuis 1907.
Pour la 113ème édition du Tour de France, du 4 au 26 juillet 2026, Belfort a été la ville d'arrivée de la 13ème et plus longue étape, le 17 juillet (206 km entre Dole et Belfort).
La très active et dynamique Amicale Philatélique de l'Est-Belfort (Aphiest-Belfort) ne pouvait pas rater cette occasion et a mis en circulation le 17 juillet 2026, un TAD spécial consacré à cette arrivée de la 13ème étape du Tour de France.
The Tour de France already passed more than 30 times by the city of Belfort (11 times as a departure city, 4 time as an arrival city) since 1907.
For the 113th edition of the Tour de France, from July 4 to 26, 2026, Belfort was the arrival city of the 13th and longest stage, on July 17 (206 km between Dole and Belfort).
The very active and dynamic local stamp association Amicale Philatélique de l'Est-Belfort (Aphiest-Belfort) could not miss this opportunity and put into circulation on July 17, 2026, a special postmark dedicated to this  arrival of the 13th stage of the Tour de France.

Ce TAD, représentant un cycliste et le célèbre Lion de Belfort, cette statue monumentale commémorant la résistance de la ville assiégée par les Prussiens durant la guerre de 1870, a été appliqué sur la lettre ci-dessus.
En partenariat avec La Poste, un bureau postal temporaire était mis en place ce 17 juillet 2026 à Belfort, avec en particulier la mise en circulation d'un timbre personnalisé.
Ce timbre (tarif "Lettre Verte 20g", tirage inconnu) évoquant cette arrivée 2026 a été utilisé sur l'enveloppe ci-dessus. Il représente aussi un cycliste et le Lion de Belfort à gauche, ainsi que le kiosque à musique (situé sur la Place d'Armes) et la tour du Fort de la Miotte à droite.
This special postmark—depicting a cyclist and the famous Lion of Belfort, a monumental statue commemorating the city's resistance against the Prussian siege during the War of 1870—was applied to the cover above.
In partnership with La Poste, a temporary post office was set up in Belfort on July 17, 2026, with notably the release of a personalized stamp.
This stamp ("Green Letter 20g" rate, unknown print run), which commemorates this 2026 stage finish, was used on the envelope above. It depicts a cyclist and the Lion of Belfort on the left, as well as the bandstand (located in the Place d'Armes) and the tower of Fort de la Miotte on the right.

EUROPA 2026 (70th anniversary of the EUROPA stamps) stamp on cover from the Netherlands

Timbre EUROPA 2026 (70ème anniversaire des timbres EUROPA) sur lettre des Pays-Bas 

L'année 2026 marque le 70ème anniversaire des timbres EUROPA, une initiative philatélique lancée pour renforcer les relations entre les pays européens et promouvoir une paix et une unité durables.
Émis pour la première fois en 1956 par six nations – la Belgique, la France, l'Allemagne, l'Italie, le Luxembourg et les Pays-Bas, membres fondateurs de l'Union européenne – ce programme s'est étendu progressivement à 53 organisations postales participantes.
L'an dernier, le groupe de travail Timbres et Philatélie de PostEurop a organisé un concours interne pour choisir un motif commun sur le thème "70ème anniversaire du timbre EUROPA : Unis par...".
Guidés par des valeurs partagées telles que la communication, l'innovation, la coopération et des racines communes, les membres ont soumis 15 propositions créatives, chacune présentant une vision unique. 
Suite au vote de 50 organisations postales, ce concours a été remporté par la poste finlandaise (Posti), devant la poste de Bosnie-Herzégovine (BH Pošta) et la poste luxembourgeoise.
C'est donc le projet de l'artiste et graphiste Klaus Welp qui figure sur les timbres EUROPA émis en 2026. 
The year 2026 marks the 70th anniversary of the EUROPA stamps, a philatelic initiative launched to strengthen relations between European countries and promote lasting peace and unity.
First issued in 1956 by six nations – Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, and the Netherlands, founding members of the European Union – this program has gradually expanded to include 53 participating postal organizations.
Last year, PostEurop's Stamps and Philately Working Group organized an internal competition to choose a common design on the theme "70th Anniversary of the EUROPA Stamp: United by...".
Guided by shared values ​​such as communication, innovation, cooperation, and common roots, the members submitted 15 creative proposals, each presenting a unique vision.
Following a vote by 50 postal organizations, the Finnish Post (Posti) won the competition, ahead of the Post of Bosnia & Herzegovina (BH Pošta) and the Post of Luxembourg.
The design by artist and graphic designer Klaus Welp will therefore be featured on the EUROPA stamps issued in 2026. 

Le 8 mai 2026, l'administration postale des Pays-Bas (PostNL) a mis en circulation un timbre EUROPA unique reproduisant le dessin conçu par Klaus Welp.
Ce timbre (tarif permanent "International 1", soit 2,11€ actuellement pour une lettre jusqu'à 20g), imprimé par Joh. Enschedé B.V. dans un feuillet composé de 6 timbres (tirage : 75000 feuillets), a été utilisé sur la lettre ci-dessus envoyée le 13 juillet 2026 depuis Julianadorp, un village faisant partie de la commune du Helder, situé dans la pointe nord de la province de Hollande-Septentrionale. Merci beaucoup Tolga! 
Ce timbre EUROPA allie éléments abstraits et symboliques. La ligne pointillée ascendante en diagonale représente à la fois la perforation du timbre et le travail progressif de PostEurop. Les sept points, reliés par une ligne droite, symbolisent soixante-dix ans d'efforts concertés des opérateurs postaux à travers le continent.

On May 8, 2026, the Dutch postal administration (PostNL) issued a unique EUROPA stamp featuring the design by Klaus Welp.
This stamp (permanent "International 1" rate, currently €2.11 for a letter up to 20g), printed by Joh. Enschedé B.V. in a sheetlet composed of 6 stamps (print run: 75,000 sheetlets), was used on the cover above sent on July 13, 2026 from Julianadorp, a village part of the municipality of Helder, located in the northern tip of the province of North Holland. Thank you very much Tolga!
This EUROPA stamp combines abstract and symbolic elements. The diagonally ascending dotted line represents both the perforation of a stamp and the progressive work of the PostEurop. The seven dots, connected by a straight line, symbolize seventy years of unified effort by postal operators across the continent.
The blending gradients and dotted patterns in the background form a cohesive and vibrant surface, reflecting the joyful mix of colours from the European flag and symbolizing the unity of all member nations.
Also of note are the stylized fireworks on the right side of the stamp (and in the sheetlet margins)—printed in a special silver Pantone ink with a gradient—marking PostEurop's platinum jubilee.  

Euromed Postal 2026 (Traditional Mosaics in the Mediterranean) stamp set on FDC from Greece

Série Euromed Postal 2026 (Mosaïques traditionnelles en Méditerranée) sur FDC de Grèce 

Pour rappel, le 9 juillet 2007 a eu lieu la première convention internationale de la poste méditerranéenne signée à Marseille. Depuis cette date, l'Union Postale pour la Méditerranée (PUMed), une union restreinte de l'UPU, a été créée le 11 mars 2011 et comprend actuellement les opérateurs postaux de 23 pays du bassin méditerranéen (incluant aussi le Portugal et la Mauritanie).
Depuis 2014, certains de ces pays émettent chaque année des timbres "Euromed Postal" illustrant un thème commun, les mosaïques traditionnelles en Méditerranée ("Παραδοσιακά Ψηφιδωτά στη Μεσόγειο" en grec) en 2026.
Sauf erreur, 14 pays ont émis à ce jour des timbres "Euromed Postal" en 2026, dont la Grèce avec une jolie série (4 timbres, conception : Theano Venieri) mise en circulation le 13 juillet 2026, illustrant des mosaïques antiques découvertes dans différentes régions du pays. 
Ces 4 timbres ont été imprimés sous plusieurs formes : feuille de 16 timbres (tirage : 25000 pour chaque timbre), bloc-feuillet composé des 4 timbres (tirage : 5000) et carnet composé des 4 timbres (avec uniquement des dentelures verticales, tirage : 3000 carnets).  
As a reminder, the first international Mediterranean postal convention was signed in Marseille on July 9, 2007. Subsequently, the Postal Union for the Mediterranean (PUMed)—a restricted union of the UPU—was established on March 11, 2011; it currently comprises postal operators from 23 countries in the Mediterranean basin (including Portugal and Mauritania).
Since 2014, some of these countries have annually issued "Euromed Postal" stamps featuring a common theme; the theme for 2026 is Traditional Mosaics in the Mediterranean (*Παραδοσιακά Ψηφιδωτά στη Μεσόγειο* in Greek).
To date, 14 countries have issued "Euromed Postal" stamps for 2026, including Greece, which released a lovely series (4 stamps, designed by Theano Venieri) on July 13, 2026, depicting ancient mosaics discovered in various regions of the country.
These four stamps were produced in several formats: a sheet of 16 stamps (print run: 25,000 per stamp), a souvenir sheet containing all four stamps (print run: 5,000), and a booklet containing all four stamps (featuring only vertical perforations; print run: 3,000 booklets).

Comme de coutume, le logo Euromed Postal (un faucon stylisé) est présent sur ces 4 timbres.
Les 4 timbres illustrent respectivement :

• une mosaïque représentant Dionysos chevauchant une panthère (0,50€, fin du IVème siècle avant J.-C.), provenant de la salle de banquet de la Maison de Dionysos (Musée archéologique de Pella, nord du pays)
• une mosaïque représentant Orphée jouant de la lyre et charmant les animaux - mammifères, oiseaux et reptiles - (1,20€, début du IVème siècle après J.-C.), exposée dans la Maison des mosaïques du Musée de Sparte
• une mosaïque représentant une Néréide chevauchant un hippocampe, encadrée par des bandes décoratives à double méandre et rinceaux de lierre (2€, seconde moitié du IIIème siècle après J.-C.), provenant de l'île de Kos et exposée aujourd'hui dans le Palais des Grands Maîtres de Rhodes
• le détail d'un sol en mosaïque représentant la déesse Aphrodite se regardant dans un miroir (3€, IIème–IIIème siècle après J.-C.), provenant d'une villa romaine et exposée dans le Musée archéologique de Patras.

As is customary, the Euromed Postal logo (a stylized falcon) appears on all four stamps.
The four stamps depict the following:

• a mosaic showing Dionysus riding a panther (€0.50, late 4th century BC), from the banquet hall of the House of Dionysus (Archaeological Museum of Pella, in the north of the country)
• a mosaic depicting Orpheus playing the lyre and charming animals—mammals, birds, and reptiles—(€1.20, early 4th century AD), on display in the House of Mosaics at the Archaeological Museum of Sparta
• a mosaic depicting a Nereid riding a sea-horse, framed by decorative bands featuring a double meander pattern and ivy scrolls (€2.00, second half of the 3rd century AD); it originated on the island of Kos and is now displayed in the Palace of the Grand Master of the Knights of Rhodes
• a detail of a mosaic floor depicting the goddess Aphrodite looking at herself in a mirror (€3.00, 2nd–3rd century AD), from a Roman villa and on display in the Archaeological Museum of Patras.  

EUROPA 2026 (70th anniversary of the EUROPA stamps) s/s on FDC from Jersey

L'année 2026 marque le 70ème anniversaire des timbres EUROPA, une initiative philatélique lancée pour renforcer les relations entre les pays européens et promouvoir une paix et une unité durables.
Émis pour la première fois en 1956 par six nations – la Belgique, la France, l'Allemagne, l'Italie, le Luxembourg et les Pays-Bas, membres fondateurs de l'Union européenne – ce programme s'est étendu progressivement à 53 organisations postales participantes.
L'an dernier, le groupe de travail Timbres et Philatélie de PostEurop a organisé un concours interne pour choisir un motif commun sur le thème "70ème anniversaire du timbre EUROPA : Unis par...".
Guidés par des valeurs partagées telles que la communication, l'innovation, la coopération et des racines communes, les membres ont soumis 15 propositions créatives, chacune présentant une vision unique. 
Suite au vote de 50 organisations postales, ce concours a été remporté par la poste finlandaise (Posti), devant la poste de Bosnie-Herzégovine (BH Pošta) et la poste luxembourgeoise.
C'est donc le projet de l'artiste et graphiste Klaus Welp qui figure sur les timbres EUROPA émis en 2026. 
The year 2026 marks the 70th anniversary of the EUROPA stamps, a philatelic initiative launched to strengthen relations between European countries and promote lasting peace and unity.
First issued in 1956 by six nations – Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, and the Netherlands, founding members of the European Union – this program has gradually expanded to include 53 participating postal organizations.
Last year, PostEurop's Stamps and Philately Working Group organized an internal competition to choose a common design on the theme "70th Anniversary of the EUROPA Stamp: United by...".
Guided by shared values ​​such as communication, innovation, cooperation, and common roots, the members submitted 15 creative proposals, each presenting a unique vision.
Following a vote by 50 postal organizations, the Finnish Post (Posti) won the competition, ahead of the Post of Bosnia & Herzegovina (BH Pošta) and the Post of Luxembourg.
The design by artist and graphic designer Klaus Welp will therefore be featured on the EUROPA stamps issued in 2026. 

Le 8 mai 2026, la poste de Jersey a mis en circulation une série (2 timbres) consacrée à ce thème du 70ème anniversaire des timbres EUROPA, le logo EUROPA ne figurant que sur le timbre reproduisant le projet de Klaus Welp.  
Ces 2 timbres (2,35£ chacun) ont également été imprimés (en Belgique par bpost) dans le bloc-feuillet présent sur le FDC officiel ci-dessus (avec logo EUROPA dans la marge supérieure).
Le timbre EUROPA commun (à gauche) allie éléments abstraits et symboliques. La ligne pointillée ascendante en diagonale représente à la fois la perforation du timbre et le travail progressif de PostEurop. Les sept points, reliés par une ligne droite, symbolisent soixante-dix ans d'efforts concertés des opérateurs postaux à travers le continent.
Les dégradés et les motifs pointillés en arrière-plan forment une surface harmonieuse et dynamique, reflétant le joyeux mélange de couleurs du drapeau européen et symbolisant l'unité de tous les États membres.
L'autre timbre, conçu par Jersey Stamps, arbore une croix rouge évoquant le drapeau de Jersey ; les points bleus représentent la mer entourant l'île, tandis que les points verts symbolisent ses terres. Clin d'œil à la palette de couleurs du timbre EUROPA, le graphisme intègre le jaune et le noir pour rappeler les plages et le granit de Jersey, tout en illustrant de manière subtile la collaboration entre Jersey Post et PostEurop.
Au final, ce timbre semble avoir été conçu à partir des 5 couleurs des anneaux olympiques... 
A noter que Jersey a émis ses premiers timbres EUROPA (3 timbres) en 1978, illustrant le thème des monuments, des châteaux et forteresses en particulier.
On May 8, 2026, Jersey Post released a two-stamp series dedicated to the 70th anniversary of EUROPA stamps; the EUROPA logo appears only on the stamp featuring Klaus Welp’s design.
These two stamps (£2.35 each) were also printed (in Belgium by bpost) as part of the souvenir sheet featured on the official First Day Cover above (which includes the EUROPA logo in the top margin).

The other stamp, designed by Jersey Stamps, depicts a red cross to represent Jersey's flag, the blue dots represent Jersey's sea, and the green dots represent the island's land. As a nod to the selection of colours featured within the EUROPA stamp the design includes the yellow and black to represent Jersey's beaches and granite, while also providing a discreet way of showing collaboration between Jersey Post and PostEurop.
Ultimately, this stamp appears to have been designed using the five colors of the Olympic rings...
It is worth noting that Jersey issued its first EUROPA stamps (a set of three) in 1978, illustrating the theme of monuments—specifically castles and fortresses.  

"100 Years of the FIP - Fédération Internationale de Philatélie" s/s on FDC from Uruguay

La Fédération Internationale de Philatélie (FIP) a été créée le 18 juin 1926 à Paris par les représentants de 6 pays : Allemagne, Autriche, Belgique, France, Pays-Bas et Suisse.
Dès le début, la FIP a œuvré pour promouvoir la collection de timbres et la philatélie, favoriser l'amitié entre les peuples, entretenir des liens avec le secteur philatélique et les administrations postales, et soutenir les expositions philatéliques par son patronage et sa reconnaissance.
Aujourd’hui, la FIP regroupe 90 fédérations nationales avec lesquelles elle organise des conférences, des séminaires pour les futurs jurés lors de ses expositions et structure l'évolution de la façon de collectionner et d'exposer en introduisant de nouvelles classes de compétition.
Enfin, elle parraine et co-organise avec les fédérations nationales les expositions mondiales (générales et spécialisées) qui sont de véritable "jeux olympiques" de la philatélie.  
The Fédération Internationale de Philatélie (FIP - International Federation of Philately) was founded on June 18, 1926, in Paris by representatives from six countries: Germany, Austria, Belgium, France, the Netherlands, and Switzerland. 
From the outset, the FIP has worked to promote stamp collecting and philately, foster friendship among nations, maintain ties with the philatelic sector and postal administrations, and support philatelic exhibitions through its patronage and recognition.
Today, the FIP brings together 90 national federations; with them, it organizes conferences and seminars for aspiring jurors during its exhibitions and shapes the evolution of collecting and exhibiting practices by introducing new competitive classes.
Finally, it sponsors and co-organizes—alongside national federations—world exhibitions (both general and specialized) that serve as the true "Olympic Games" of philately.

Le 8 mai 2026, la poste uruguayenne a mis en circulation un bloc-feuillet (95 UYU, tirage : 2500, conception : E.S.C Eduardo Salgado) consacré au 100ème anniversaire de la FIP, utilisé sur le FDC ci-dessus envoyé le 25 juin 2026 depuis Montevideo. Merci beaucoup Jorge ! 
L'emblème de la FIP associé au logo de ce 100ème anniversaire sont reproduits sur le timbre, le fond du bloc-feuillet étant conçu à partir d'une photographie du collectionneur américain Walter E. The stamp features the FIP emblem alongside the 100th-anniversary logo, while the background of the souvenir sheet is based on a photograph by American collector Walter E. Reinholdt, showing a mail carrier at the corner of Camacuá and Juan Carlos Gómez streets in Montevideo, sometime between 1921 and 1926.

"90 Years as an Olympic Venue: Garmisch-Partenkirchen" postmark on cover from Germany

TAD "90 ans de Garmisch-Partenkirchen comme site olympique" sur lettre d'Allemagne 

Pour marquer le début d'une exposition intitulée "90 ans de Garmisch-Partenkirchen comme site olympique - Se souvenir. Pour l'avenir" organisée du 24 mars au 12 avril 2026 par l'association locale "Briefmarken- und Münzensammlerclub 'Philatelia' e. V." dans le Musée Aschenbrenner, un TAD spécial a été mis en circulation le 24 mars 2026 à Garmisch-Partenkirchen à cette occasion.
Ce TAD a été appliqué sur la lettre ci-dessous, affranchie avec un timbre (1,44€ + 0,56€) faisant partie d'une série de bienfaisance "Pour la jeunesse" (5 timbres, conception : Klein & Neumann) émise le 2 juin 2005, consacrée à différents grands voiliers.
Ce timbre illustre en particulier le navire-école "Deutschland", un trois-mâts construit en 1927 dans l'ancien chantier naval Tecklenborg de Geestemünde (Bremerhaven aujourd'hui). Ancien navire-école de la marine allemande, il a été inscrit dès 1994 au registre des monuments historiques du Land de Brême. Désormais il se trouve au mouillage de la ville de Brême.  
To mark the opening of an exhibition titled "90 Years of Garmisch-Partenkirchen as an Olympic Venue – Remembering. For the Future"—organized from March 24 to April 12, 2026, by the local association "Briefmarken- und Münzensammlerclub 'Philatelia' e.V." at the Aschenbrenner Museum—a special commemorative postmark was issued in Garmisch-Partenkirchen for the occasion, on March 24, 2026.
This postmark was applied to the cover below, with a stamp (€1.44 + €0.56) from the "For Youth" charity series (5 stamps, designed by Klein & Neumann) issued on June 2, 2005, and dedicated to various tall ships.
Specifically, the stamp depicts the training ship *Deutschland*, a three-masted vessel built in 1927 at the former Tecklenborg shipyard in Geestemünde (now part of Bremerhaven). Formerly a training ship for the German Navy, it was listed as a historical monument by the State of Bremen in 1994. It is now permanently moored in the city of Bremen.  

Sur ce TAD figure un athlète lors d'une épreuve de saut à ski, inspiré d'un des 3 timbres (reproduits sur l'illustration à gauche sur l'enveloppe) émis par le Reich allemand le 25 novembre 1935 pour annoncer ces 4èmes jeux olympiques d'hiver à Garmisch-Partenkirchen.
Curieusement, ces jeux olympiques d'hiver furent, à ce jour, les premiers et derniers jeux organisés par l'Allemagne.
Après leur accession au pouvoir en 1933, le chancelier Adolf Hitler et le Parti nazi décident d'utiliser les jeux olympiques comme outil de propagande à la gloire du Troisième Reich et pour montrer la grandeur de la nation allemande. Ces jeux d'hiver étaient alors considérés comme une "répétition générale" avant les jeux olympiques d'été organisés à Berlin en août 1936.
646 athlètes (dont 566 hommes) de 28 pays participent à ces jeux de Garmisch-Partenkirchen. 17 épreuves officielles réparties en 4 sports sont disputées et la Norvège arrive largement en tête au classement des médailles (15 dont 7 en or) devant l'Allemagne et la Suède.
This special postmark features a ski jumper, an image inspired by one of the three stamps (reproduced in the illustration on the left side of the envelope) issued by the German Reich on November 25, 1935, to announce these 4th Winter Olympic Games in Garmisch-Partenkirchen.
Curiously, these Winter Olympics were—to date—the first and last Games hosted by Germany.
After coming to power in 1933, Chancellor Adolf Hitler and the Nazi Party decided to use the Olympic Games as a propaganda tool to glorify the Third Reich and showcase the greatness of the German nation. These Winter Games were viewed as a "rehearsal" for the Summer Olympics held in Berlin in August 1936.
A total of 646 athletes (including 566 men) from 28 countries participated in the Garmisch-Partenkirchen Games. Seventeen official events across four sports were contested, with Norway finishing well ahead in the medal standings (15 medals, including 7 gold), followed by Germany and Sweden.
