Sous l'apparence d'un conte pour enfants, "Le Petit Prince" se veut un conte poétique et philosophique avec une écriture simple et dépouillée mettant l'accent sur le comportement absurde des adultes.
Lorsque le Petit Prince quitte son astéroïde B 612, il découvre sur terre la solitude et l'absurdité de l'existence et raconte son histoire à un aviateur qui, à la suite d'une panne de moteur, a dû se poser en catastrophe dans le désert du Sahara...
The novella "The Little Prince", published in 1943 (in the United States) by the famous French writer and pioneering aviator Antoine de Saint-Exupéry (1900-1944), is sometimes considered as one of the most famous books in the world, with the Bible and "Capital" by Karl Marx ...
Under the semblance of a children's fairy tale, "The Little Prince" is intended as a poetic and philosophical tale with a simple writing emphasizing the absurd behavior of adults.
When the Little Prince leaves his asteroid B-612, he discovers on Earth the loneliness and absurdity of life and tells his story to an aviator who, following an engine failure, had to crash-land in the Sahara Desert...

"S'il vous plaît… dessine-moi un mouton !", "On ne voit bien qu'avec le cœur. L'essentiel est invisible pour les yeux" sont quelques-unes des phrases extraites de ce livre, faisant partie aujourd'hui de notre imaginaire collectif.
Curieusement, peu d'administrations postales ont déjà émis dans le passé des timbres consacrés à ce personnage du Petit Prince : Israël, Croatie, Nouvelle-Calédonie, Pologne, Guinée équatoriale, Allemagne, Thaïlande, Japon, Argentine, Bulgarie, Serbie ou France (1998, 2021).
Le 15 juin 2026 (vente générale), la poste française a mis en circulation un nouveau timbre ainsi qu'un carnet (12 timbres "Lettre Verte") à l'occasion du 80ème anniversaire de la parution de la première édition française du Petit Prince, le livre le plus traduit au monde avec plus de 650 traductions officielles !
Deux timbres autocollants du carnet (tirage : 2060500, conception : Studio Pekelo) ont été utilisés sur la carte ci-dessus avec TAD Premier Jour de Paris daté du 11 juin 2026. 
"If you please... draw me a sheep !", "It is only with the heart that one can see rightly. What is essential is invisible to the eye" are some of the sentences taken from this book, today being part of our collective imagination.
Surprisingly, few postal administrations have previously issued stamps featuring this character of The Little Prince: Israel, Croatia, New Caledonia, Poland, Equatorial Guinea, Germany, Thailand, Japan, Argentina, Bulgaria, Serbia, or France (1998, 2021).
On June 15, 2026 (general sale), the French Post issued a new stamp (€2.25; print run: 705,000)—printed in a sheetlet of 15 stamps with illustrated margins—to mark the 80th anniversary of the first French edition of *The Little Prince*, the most translated book in the world, boasting over 650 official translations!
Two self-adhesive stamps from the booklet (print run: 2,060,500; design: Studio Pekelo) were used on the postcard above, with First Day cancellation from Paris dated June 11, 2026.

Ces 2 timbres représentent respectivement le Petit Prince sur un lit d'étoiles et le Petit Prince et renard (un guide spirituel qui permet au Petit Prince de gagner en sagesse) dans un carton regardant le ciel.
Cette carte postale, mise en circulation le 19 mai 2026, fait partie d'un lot (4 cartes différentes, prix de vente : 7€) commercialisé par Philaposte et consacré également au Petit Prince.
Toutes ces cartes mettent en scène le Petit Prince avec la Tour Eiffel, avec également la rose sur la carte ci-dessus, une fleur qui joue un rôle essentiel dans l'histoire, car sans elle, le petit prince ne serait pas venu sur Terre et n'aurait jamais rencontré l'aviateur. Elle symbolise les difficultés de la relation amoureuse et fait l'objet de toutes les pensées du Petit Prince. 
Une citation emblématique de l'ouvrage est également imprimée (avec une encre dorée) sur chacune de ces cartes, "On ne voit bien qu'avec le cœur. L'essentiel est invisible pour les yeux" ici.  
These two stamps depict, respectively, the Little Prince resting on a bed of stars, and the Little Prince with the fox (a spiritual guide who helps him gain wisdom) sitting in a cardboard box and gazing at the sky.
This postcard, released on May 19, 2026, is part of a set of four different cards (priced at €7.00) sold by Philaposte and also dedicated to the Little Prince.
All these cards feature the Little Prince alongside the Eiffel Tower; the card above also includes the rose—a flower that plays a pivotal role in the story, because without it, the Little Prince would never have come to Earth or met the aviator. It symbolizes the complexities of romantic relationships and is the constant focus of the Little Prince's thoughts. 
An iconic quote from the book is also printed (in gold ink) on each of these cards: "It is only with the heart that one can see rightly. What is essential is invisible to the eye" here.

Bloc-feuillet EUROPA 2026 (70ème anniversaire des timbres EUROPA) sur lettre de Bosnie-Herzégovine (BH Pošta) 

L'année 2026 marque le 70ème anniversaire des timbres EUROPA, une initiative philatélique lancée pour renforcer les relations entre les pays européens et promouvoir une paix et une unité durables.
Émis pour la première fois en 1956 par six nations – la Belgique, la France, l'Allemagne, l'Italie, le Luxembourg et les Pays-Bas, membres fondateurs de l'Union européenne – ce programme s'est étendu progressivement à 53 organisations postales participantes.
L'an dernier, le groupe de travail Timbres et Philatélie de PostEurop a organisé un concours interne pour choisir un motif commun sur le thème "70ème anniversaire du timbre EUROPA : Unis par...".
Guidés par des valeurs partagées telles que la communication, l'innovation, la coopération et des racines communes, les membres ont soumis 15 propositions créatives, chacune présentant une vision unique. 
Suite au vote de 50 organisations postales, ce concours a été remporté par la poste finlandaise (Posti), devant la poste de Bosnie-Herzégovine (BH Pošta) et la poste luxembourgeoise.
C'est donc le projet de l'artiste et graphiste Klaus Welp qui figure sur les timbres EUROPA émis en 2026. 
The year 2026 marks the 70th anniversary of the EUROPA stamps, a philatelic initiative launched to strengthen relations between European countries and promote lasting peace and unity.
First issued in 1956 by six nations – Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, and the Netherlands, founding members of the European Union – this program has gradually expanded to include 53 participating postal organizations.
Last year, PostEurop's Stamps and Philately Working Group organized an internal competition to choose a common design on the theme "70th Anniversary of the EUROPA Stamp: United by...".
Guided by shared values ​​such as communication, innovation, cooperation, and common roots, the members submitted 15 creative proposals, each presenting a unique vision.
Following a vote by 50 postal organizations, the Finnish Post (Posti) won the competition, ahead of the Post of Bosnia & Herzegovina (BH Pošta) and the Post of Luxembourg.
The design by artist and graphic designer Klaus Welp will therefore be featured on the EUROPA stamps issued in 2026. 

Le 26 avril 2026, la poste de la Fédération de Bosnie-Herzégovine (BiH) de Sarajevo (BH Pošta), l'un des 3 opérateurs postaux du pays, avec la poste croate de Mostar (HP Mostar) et la poste de la Republika Srpska (Pošte Srpske), a mis en circulation une série (2 timbres) consacrée à ce thème du 70ème anniversaire des timbres EUROPA, incluant tous les deux le logo EUROPA, celui reproduisant le projet de Klaus Welp et celui reproduisant le projet de la BH Pošta pour ce concours. 
Ces 2 timbres (4 BAM) ont également été imprimés dans un joli bloc-feuillet (tirage : 20000) utilisé sur la lettre ci-dessus envoyée le 1er juillet 2026 depuis Zenica. Merci beaucoup Miro ! 
Le timbre EUROPA commun (à gauche) allie éléments abstraits et symboliques. La ligne pointillée ascendante en diagonale représente à la fois la perforation du timbre et le travail progressif de PostEurop. Les sept points, reliés par une ligne droite, symbolisent soixante-dix ans d'efforts concertés des opérateurs postaux à travers le continent.
Les dégradés et les motifs pointillés en arrière-plan forment une surface harmonieuse et dynamique, reflétant le joyeux mélange de couleurs du drapeau européen et symbolisant l'unité de tous les États membres.
L'autre timbre, conçu par Tamer Lučarević et Brankica Sumenić-Bajić, représente un arbre stylisé composé de plusieurs branches entremêlées formant son tronc, symbole de solidarité entre les membres de PostEurop ainsi que de préservation de l'environnement.
A noter que la BH Pošta a émis son premier timbre EUROPA en 1995, illustrant le thème "Paix et liberté" dans le cadre du 50ème anniversaire de la fin de la Seconde Guerre mondiale. 
On April 26, 2026, the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) Post in Sarajevo (BH Pošta)—one of the country's three postal operators, alongside the Croatian Post Mostar (HP Mostar) and the Republika Srpska Post (Pošte Srpske)—issued a two-stamp series marking the 70th anniversary of EUROPA stamps.
Both stamps feature the EUROPA logo: one reproduces Klaus Welp's design, while the other displays BH Pošta's own entry for the competition.

The common EUROPA stamp (on the left) combines abstract and symbolic elements. The diagonally ascending dotted line represents both the perforation of a stamp and the progressive work of the PostEurop. The seven dots, connected by a straight line, symbolize seventy years of unified effort by postal operators across the continent.
The blending gradients and dotted patterns in the background form a cohesive and vibrant surface, reflecting the joyful mix of colours from the European flag and symbolizing the unity of all member nations.
The other stamp, designed by Tamer Lučarević and Brankica Sumenić-Bajić, depicts a stylized tree formed by several intertwined branches that make up its trunk—a symbol of solidarity among PostEurop members and of environmental preservation.
It is worth noting that BH Pošta issued its first EUROPA stamp in 1995, illustrating the theme "Peace and Freedom" to mark the 50th anniversary of the end of World War II.

De nombreuses administrations postales (Wallis-et-Futuna, Tunisie, Slovénie, Saint-Marin, Kazakhstan, Moldavie, Nations Unies, Philippines, Namibie, Inde, Émirats Arabes Unis, Belarus, Maroc, Serbie, Monaco, Pérou, Slovaquie, Pakistan, Espagne, Algérie...) ont émis des timbres en 2025 consacrés au 80ème anniversaire de la création des Nations Unies, reproduisant le logo officiel de cet anniversaire (pour certaines) et parfois son slogan associé, "Construisons notre avenir ensemble". 
Pour rappel, 51 pays ont fondé l'Organisation des Nations Unies en 1945 suite à la ratification de la Charte des Nations Unies à San Francisco le le 24 octobre 1945. 
Le 17 mars 2026 (pourquoi pas en 2025 ?), la poste espagnole Correos a mis en circulation un timbre consacré à ce 80ème anniversaire des Nations Unies ("80 años de la Organización de Naciones Unidas"). 
Several postal administrations (Wallis & Futuna, Tunisia, Slovenia, San Marino, Kazakhstan, Moldova, the United Nations, the Philippines, Namibia, India, the United Arab Emirates, Belarus, Morocco, Serbia, Monaco, Peru, Slovakia, Pakistan, Spain, Algeria, etc.) issued stamps in 2025 commemorating the 80th anniversary of the founding of the United Nations.
These stamps reproduced the official anniversary logo (for some) and sometimes its associated slogan, "Building our future together."
As a reminder, 51 countries founded the United Nations in 1945 following the ratification of the UN Charter in San Francisco on October 24, 1945.
On March 17, 2026 (why not in 2025?), the Spanish Post Correos put into circulation a stamp dedicated to this 80th anniversary of the United Nations ("80 años de la Organización de Naciones Unidas").

Il reproduit simplement ce logo des 80 ans des Nations Unies, sans mentionner son slogan associé. 
L'Organisation des Nations Unies (ONU) a été créée le 24 octobre 1945, au lendemain de la Seconde Guerre mondiale, afin d'assurer la paix et la sécurité internationales, de favoriser les relations amicales entre les États et de promouvoir le progrès social et les droits de l'homme. 
L'ONU avait refusé initialement d'admettre l'Espagne dès 1945 car le régime de Franco était de nature fasciste et avait été instauré avec l'aide du régime nazi en Allemagne et du régime fasciste en Italie. 
L'Espagne a déposé sa demande d'adhésion le 23 septembre 1955 et a rejoint l'ONU le 14 décembre suivant. Elle a siégé au Conseil de sécurité en tant que membre non permanent à cinq reprises.
Tout au long de cette période, et plus particulièrement depuis le retour de la démocratie après la mort de Franco en novembre 1975, l'Espagne s'est activement impliquée au sein de l'organisation, réaffirmant la nécessité pour la communauté internationale de reposer sur les piliers que sont la sécurité, le développement et le respect des droits de l'homme.

The United Nations (UN) was established on October 24, 1945—in the wake of World War II—to ensure international peace and security, foster friendly relations among states, and promote social progress and human rights.
The UN initially refused to admit Spain in 1945 because the Franco regime was fascist in nature and had been established with the help of the Nazi regime in Germany and the fascist regime in Italy.
Spain submitted its application for membership on September 23, 1955, and joined the UN on December 14 of that same year. It has served as a non-permanent member of the Security Council on five occasions.
Throughout this period—and particularly since the return of democracy following Franco's death in November 1975—Spain has been actively involved in the organization, reaffirming the need for the international community to be based on the pillars of security, development and respect for human rights.  

"Wildflowers" definitive stamps on cover from Sark

Timbres courants "Fleurs sauvages" sur lettre de Sercq (Sark) 

L'île de Sercq (Sark en anglais) est l'une des seigneuries normandes du bailliage de Guernesey, État dépendant de la Couronne britannique. En plus de l'île principale de Guernesey, le bailliage inclut en effet également Aurigny (Alderney), Sercq, Herm, Jéthou, Brecqhou, Burhou et d'autres petites îles.
Le 27 août 2025, Sercq, sous administration postale de Guernesey, était la première île à émettre des timbres britanniques depuis plus de 40 ans, après le lancement des timbres d'Aurigny en 1983.
Ce jour-là, une série (8 timbres) a été mise en circulation pour commémorer le 80ème anniversaire de la libération de cette petite île.
Le 3 septembre 2026, une série courante (15 timbres, conception : Bridget Yabsley) a été émise, illustrant certaines des fleurs sauvages poussant sur Sercq.
Trois de ces timbres (0,04£ : Romulée à petite fleurs - Romulea columnae, 0,50£ : Marguerite commune - Leucanthemum vulgare, 1£ : Chèvrefeuille des bois - Lonicera periclymenum) ont été utilisés sur la lettre ci-dessous envoyée depuis Sercq le 6 mai 2026. Merci beaucoup Roland ! 
The island of Sark is one of the Norman lordships within the Bailiwick of Guernsey, a British Crown Dependency. In addition to the main island of Guernsey, the Bailiwick also includes Alderney, Sark, Herm, Jethou, Brecqhou, Burhou, and other smaller islands.
On August 27, 2025, Sark, under the postal administration of Guernsey, became the first island to issue British stamps in over 40 years, following the launch of Alderney's stamps in 1983.
On that day, a set of eight stamps was released to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the liberation of this small island.
On September 3, 2026, a definitive series (15 stamps, designed by Bridget Yabsley) was issued, featuring some of the wildflowers that grow on Sark.
Three of these stamps (£0.04: Sand Crocus – *Romulea columnae*; £0.50: Oxeye Daisy – *Leucanthemum vulgare*; £1.00: Honeysuckle – *Lonicera periclymenum*) have been used on the cover below, sent from Sark on May 6, 2026. Many thanks, Roland!

Les îles Anglo-Normandes se situent à un carrefour naturel où la faune et la flore du nord rencontrent celles venues du sud. Il en résulte une biodiversité fascinante, tout particulièrement sur cette île de Sercq.
Longue d'à peine 4,8 km et large d'environ 2,4 km, Sercq présente des falaises préservées de toute urbanisation ; l'île est exempte d'agriculture intensive, compte peu de zones bâties et abrite une population de moins de 600 habitants.
De vieux talus plantés de haies délimitent de petites parcelles, tandis que des landes balayées par les embruns, des vallons boisés et des pâturages abrités forment une mosaïque d'habitats naturels propices à l'épanouissement de la faune et de la flore.
L'association "La Société Sercquaise" a été fondée en 1975 dans le but d'étudier, de préserver et de valoriser l'environnement ainsi que le patrimoine culturel de Sercq. Aujourd'hui, elle mène des projets de suivi et de protection de la faune ainsi que des actions de gestion des terres visant à sauvegarder des fleurs sauvages rares.
Certains de ces trésors naturels figurent sur cette jolie série courante comme la Romulée à petite fleurs, qui ne fleurit que lors des journées printanières ensoleillées.

The Channel Islands lie at a natural crossroads where northern flora and fauna meet those from the south. This results in fascinating biodiversity, particularly on this island of Sark.
Measuring barely 4.8 km long and about 2.4 km wide, Sark features cliffs untouched by urban development; the island is free from intensive agriculture, has few built-up areas, and is home to a population of fewer than 600 people.
Old hedge-topped banks mark out small plots of land, while spray-swept heathlands, wooded valleys, and sheltered pastures form a mosaic of natural habitats where flora and fauna can thrive.
The association "La Société Sercquaise" was founded in 1975 with the aim of studying, preserving, and promoting Sark's environment and cultural heritage. Today, it conducts wildlife monitoring and protection projects, as well as land management initiatives designed to safeguard rare wildflowers.
Some of these natural treasures are featured in this lovely definitive stamp series, such as Sand Crocus, which blooms only on sunny spring days.  

"Ron Agam - I love France from the depth of my heart" stamp on FDC from France

Timbre "Ron Agam - J'aime la France du plus profond de mon cœur" sur FDC de France 

Ron Agam est un artiste plasticien, peintre et photographe franco-israélien né en 1958. Élevé entre Paris et Rehovot (Israël), il a vécu de nombreuses années à New York et réside aujourd'hui à Miami. Chevalier de la Légion d'honneur, il est le fils du célèbre pionnier de l'art cinétique Yaacov Agam. 
Il commence sa carrière dans la photographie d'art et publie plusieurs ouvrages. Ron Agam ne commence à peindre et à dessiner qu'à l'âge de 50 ans (en 2011), connaissant un succès immédiat.
Son œuvre picturale s'inspire alors fortement du constructivisme russe (Malévitch, El Lissitzky).
Il explore la perception visuelle en créant des œuvres holographiques et lenticulaires tridimensionnelles (3-DK). Ses créations incitent le public à se déplacer pour observer l'évolution des formes sous différents angles. Il travaille sur des structures géométriques abstraites saturées et vibrantes.  
Ron Agam is a French-Israeli visual artist, painter, and photographer born in 1958. Raised between Paris and Rehovot (Israel), he lived for many years in New York and currently resides in Miami.
A Chevalier of the Legion of Honour, he is the son of the renowned kinetic art pioneer Yaacov Agam.
He began his career in fine art photography and published several books. Ron Agam did not start painting and drawing until the age of 50 (in 2011), achieving immediate success.
His paintings draw strong inspiration from Russian Constructivism (Malevich, El Lissitzky).
He explores visual perception by creating three-dimensional (3-DK) holographic and lenticular works. His creations encourage viewers to move around in order to observe how the forms shift when viewed from different angles. He works with vibrant, saturated abstract geometric structures.

À travers sa lumière, sa culture et son esprit créatif durable, la France a nourri son regard et façonné sa sensibilité, laissant une empreinte qui ne s'est jamais effacée...
Cette relation se manifeste visuellement dans le timbre lui-même. Le cœur n'y est pas un simple symbole, mais une forme vivante composée de couches successives aux couleurs du drapeau français.

This relationship is visually expressed in the stamp itself. The heart is not merely a symbol but a living form composed of successive layers in the colors of the French flag.
These repeated contours create a sense of depth that draws the eye inward, like a continuous emotional movement. Each layer evokes time, memory, and the intensity of a love built slowly over the course of many experiences.
Notably, a transparent iridescent film has been applied to the stamp to diffract the image and approximate the lenticular effect of the original artwork.

En 2024, l'Union Postale Universelle (UPU) célébrait son 150ème anniversaire. Le 9 octobre 1874, 22 pays se sont réunis pour signer le Traité de Berne, créant ainsi l'Union générale des postes, qui deviendra ensuite l'Union Postale Universelle (à partir de 1878).
150 ans plus tard, l'UPU unit à présent les réseaux postaux de 192 pays membres. Elle a ainsi concrétisé la vision de ses fondateurs, qui consistait à établir un territoire postal unique pour servir toutes les populations, où qu'elles se trouvent.
Avec le thème de ce 150ème anniversaire, "150 ans d'engagement pour la communication et le développement des peuples à travers le monde", l'UPU célèbre cette réalisation et renforce son engagement à servir les populations pour les années et siècles à venir.
Tout au long de cette année 2024, l'UPU a organisé une série d'événements et des campagnes visant à rendre hommage à la richesse de son passé, à la pertinence de son présent et aux promesses de son avenir, en utilisant en particulier le hashtag #UPU150 sur les réseaux sociaux.

150 years later, the UPU now unites the postal networks of 192 member countries, having realized its founders' vision of establishing a single postal territory to serve people everywhere.
The UPU's theme for its 150th year, "150 years of enabling communication and empowering peoples across nations", recognizes this accomplishment, and reinforces its commitment to serve peoples for the decades and centuries to come.
Throughout 2024, the UPU organized a series of events and campaigns in celebration of its rich past, dedicated present and promising future, in particular using the hashtag #UPU150 on social media.

L'UPU, institution spécialisée de l'ONU (depuis 1947) dont le siège se trouve à Berne (Suisse), est la seconde plus ancienne organisation internationale après l'Union Internationale des Télécommunications, et constitue le principal forum de coopération entre les acteurs mondiaux du secteur postal. 
Le 9 octobre 2024 (Journée mondiale de la poste), la poste de Saint-Marin a mis en circulation un timbre consacré au 150ème anniversaire de l'UPU ("150° anniversario dell’Unione Postale Universale"). 
Ce timbre (1,30€, tirage : 20000, conception : Elisa Quadri) a été utilisé sur la lettre ci-dessus envoyée le 2 avril 2026 depuis la ville de Saint-Marin. Merci beaucoup Salvatore ! 
Ce timbre représente, à gauche, un pigeon voyageur tenant une lettre dans son bec ; à droite, un globe blanc symbolisant le monde et l'universalité du service postal et, en bas au centre, un cor postal, le tout sur un fond coloré rappelant les couleurs du logo officiel de cet anniversaire. 
Le logo officiel conçu par l'UPU (Sonja Denovski) est reproduit dans la marge du feuillet (4 timbres), présente à gauche sur cette enveloppe, dans lequel ce timbre a été imprimé (par Cartor Security Printing).

The UPU, a specialized agency of the United Nations (since 1947) headquartered in Bern, Switzerland, is the second oldest international organization after the International Telecommunications Union, and constitutes the main forum for cooperation between global postal sector players.
On October 9, 2024 (World Post Day), the Post of San Marino issued a stamp commemorating the UPU's 150th anniversary ("150° anniversario dell’Unione Postale Universale").

The stamp depicts a carrier pigeon holding a letter in its beak on the left; a white globe symbolizing the world and the universality of the postal service on the right; and a post horn at the bottom center—all set against a colorful background echoing the colors of the official anniversary logo.
The official logo designed by the UPU (Sonja Denovski) is reproduced in the margin of the sheetlet (containing four stamps)—visible on the left side of this envelope—in which this stamp was printed (by Cartor Security Printing).
The Republic of San Marino has been a member of the UPU since July 1, 1915.  

"50th Anniversary of the Georg Forster Antarctic Base" – Stamp, special postmark, and prepaid envelope from Germany

La station Georg Forster a été la première base de recherche allemande à fonctionner toute l'année en Antarctique.
Elle a été mise en service le 21 avril 1976 par la République démocratique allemande (RDA) dans l'oasis de Schirmacher (Terre de la Reine Maud), située à environ deux kilomètres de la station soviétique Novolasarevskaya.
Jusqu'en 1987, elle était simplement appelée "laboratoire de base" avant d'être officiellement baptisée du nom du naturaliste Georg Forster. La station était principalement composée de conteneurs préfabriqués servant de logements et de laboratoires, qui avaient été modifiés pour résister aux conditions extrêmes. 
L'un des principaux objectifs de recherche était l'étude de la haute atmosphère et de la magnétosphère aux latitudes polaires. La station a acquis une renommée mondiale grâce aux mesures de l'ozone effectuées à l'aide de ballons, qui ont débuté en mai 1985.
The Georg Forster Station was the first German research base to operate year-round in Antarctica.
It was commissioned on April 21, 1976, by the German Democratic Republic (GDR) in the Schirmacher Oasis (Queen Maud Land), located approximately two kilometers from the Soviet station Novolazarevskaya.
Until 1987, it was simply known as the "base laboratory" before being officially named after the naturalist Georg Forster. The station consisted primarily of prefabricated containers serving as living quarters and laboratories, which had been modified to withstand extreme conditions.
One of the primary research objectives was the study of the upper atmosphere and the magnetosphere at polar latitudes. The station gained worldwide renown for its balloon-based ozone measurements, which began in May 1985. 

Après la réunification allemande en 1990, la station a été reprise par l'Institut Alfred Wegener (AWI). Comme l'AWI exploitait déjà la station Neumayer, il a été décidé, pour des raisons d'efficacité, de fermer la station Georg Forster.
Les activités scientifiques ont officiellement pris fin en février 1993, marquant ainsi la fin d'une époque de l'histoire polaire allemande.
Après la fermeture, la précieuse série de mesures de l'ozone a été poursuivie à la station Neumayer, où elle est encore aujourd'hui considérée comme l'une des plus longues au monde.
Le démantèlement de la station a eu lieu entre 1993 et 1996, conformément au protocole sur la protection de l'environnement annexé au Traité sur l'Antarctique.
Aujourd'hui, la station est considérée comme le symbole du transfert réussi de la recherche de pointe de la RDA vers l'Allemagne réunifiée.

Following German reunification in 1990, the station was taken over by the Alfred Wegener Institute (AWI). Since the AWI was already operating the Neumayer Station, it was decided—for the sake of efficiency—to close the Georg Forster Station.
Scientific activities officially ceased in February 1993, marking the end of an era in German polar history.
After the closure, the valuable series of ozone measurements was continued at the Neumayer Station, where it remains one of the longest-running records of its kind in the world today.
The station was dismantled between 1993 and 1996, in accordance with the Protocol on Environmental Protection to the Antarctic Treaty.
Today, the station is regarded as a symbol of the successful transfer of cutting-edge research from the GDR to the reunified Germany.
To mark the 50th anniversary of its founding, the Deutsche Post issued a stamp on April 2, 2026 (€1.80; design: Laucke Siebein) dedicated to the Georg Forster Station; this stamp was used at the bottom right of the envelope above. Many thanks, Jens!

This prepaid envelope (€0.95) was created using Deutsche Post's "Plusbrief Individuell" service, which allows for the creation of custom-designed envelopes.
The special blue pictorial postmark (featuring the Antarctic continent and penguins; design by Wittmann Medien)—which also commemorates the 50th anniversary of the Georg Forster Station—was issued in Bonn on April 21, 2026, to mark the exact day the station entered service.
Also of note is the cachet applied to the other side of the envelope above, commemorating the 50th anniversary of this first German base in Antarctica (with longitude and latitude indicated on the left).

L'année 2025 marquait le 50ème anniversaire d'un événement majeur de l'histoire de l'exploration spatiale : le premier vol habité conjoint expérimental réunissant des astronautes américains et des cosmonautes soviétiques, réalisé dans le cadre du programme d'essai Apollo-Soyouz (ASTP).
Le 17 juillet 1975, le vaisseau soviétique "Soyouz-19" et le vaisseau américain "Apollo" se sont amarrés avec succès en orbite terrestre (à 225 km d'altitude), donnant lieu à la célèbre "poignée de main dans l'espace" entre les représentants des deux superpuissances spatiales.
Les États-Unis étaient représentés par les astronautes Thomas Stafford, Vance Brand et Donald Slayton, tandis que l'URSS l'était par les cosmonautes Alexeï Leonov et Valeri Koubassov.
Durant la phase d'amarrage, les membres des équipages ont effectué quatre transferts entre les deux vaisseaux. Outre la poignée de main symbolique, les équipages ont mené plusieurs expériences scientifiques et techniques importantes en orbite.
Une fois la mission accomplie avec succès, les deux équipages sont revenus sains et saufs sur Terre. La réussite du programme Apollo-Soyouz a constitué une étape importante dans l'apaisement des tensions internationales et un symbole de coopération fructueuse entre États pour l'exploration et l'utilisation pacifiques de l'espace extra-atmosphérique. 
The year 2025 marked the 50th anniversary of a major event in the history of space exploration: the first joint experimental crewed flight bringing together American astronauts and Soviet cosmonauts, carried out as part of the Apollo-Soyuz Test Project (ASTP).
On July 17, 1975, the Soviet spacecraft "Soyuz-19" and the American spacecraft "Apollo" successfully docked in Earth orbit (at an altitude of 225 km), leading to the famous "handshake in space" between representatives of the two space superpowers.
The United States was represented by astronauts Thomas Stafford, Vance Brand, and Donald Slayton, while the USSR was represented by cosmonauts Alexei Leonov and Valery Kubasov.
During the docking phase, crew members carried out four transfers between the two spacecraft. In addition to the symbolic handshake, the crews conducted several important scientific and technical experiments in orbit.
Once the mission was successfully completed, both crews returned safely to Earth. The success of the Apollo-Soyuz program marked a significant step in easing international tensions and served as a symbol of fruitful cooperation between nations for the peaceful exploration and use of outer space.

Le 29 décembre 2025, la Kyrgyz Express Post (KEP), le 2ème opérateur postal désigné (l'autre étant la poste kirghize) du Kirghizstan, a mis en circulation un timbre consacré au 50ème anniversaire de cet amarrage des vaisseaux spatiaux Apollo et Soyouz. 
Ce timbre (200 KGS, tirage : 7500), conçu par Daria Maier à partir d'une illustration de Nadezhda Kornitsel, figure sur le FDC officiel ci-dessus (tirage : 400) envoyé depuis Bichkek, la capitale.
This first joint flight involving American astronauts and Soviet cosmonauts laid the foundation for a partnership in peaceful space exploration. It paved the way for subsequent joint projects and programs, such as "Shuttle-Mir" and the International Space Station (ISS).
On December 29, 2025, the Kyrgyz Express Post (KEP)—Kyrgyzstan's second designated postal operator (alongside Kyrgyz Post)—issued a stamp commemorating the 50th anniversary of the docking of the Apollo and Soyuz spacecraft.
This stamp (200 KGS, print run: 7,500), designed by Daria Maier based on an illustration by Nadezhda Kornitsel, appears on the official First Day Cover above (print run: 400), mailed from the capital, Bishkek. 

Ce timbre a été imprimé (en Moldavie par Nova Imprim) dans le joli bloc-feuillet ci-dessus composé de 5 timbres + 1 vignette, avec présence des drapeaux des États-Unis et de l'URSS dans la marge supérieure. 
La vignette a été conçue à partir de la célèbre photo montrant la poignée de mains entre Stafford et Leonov.
This stamp was printed (in Moldova by Nova Imprim) as part of the attractive souvenir sheet above, which consists of five stamps and one label, with the flags of the United States and the USSR in the upper margin.
The label was designed based on the famous photograph showing the handshake between Stafford and Leonov.

"Nikos Aliagas – Millennial Dance" stamp on FDC from France

Timbre "Nikos Aliagas - Danse millénaire" sur FDC de France 

Né à Paris de parents grecs en 1969, le journaliste et animateur Nikos Aliagas partage depuis toujours sa vie entre deux rives: la France où il a grandi et vit encore aujourd'hui et la Grèce dont il porte aussi la langue et la mémoire.
Il est aussi depuis plus de vingt ans photographe, une activité qu'il ne considère pas comme un prolongement de son métier mais comme une nécessité intérieure. 
À travers ses portraits, ses paysages et ses reportages, Nikos Aliagas cherche moins à documenter le monde qu'à en saisir la part invisible. Ses photographies s'intéressent aux visages marqués par le temps, aux gestes simples, aux métiers qui disparaissent, aux territoires de mémoire et aux traces laissées par les générations successives. Son regard s'attarde sur ce qui demeure lorsque le bruit du monde s'efface.
Cette démarche a donné lieu à plusieurs expositions et publications, parmi lesquelles "L'Épreuve du temps", véritable manifeste photographique autour de la mémoire, de la transmission et de la dignité humaine. 
Born in Paris to Greek parents in 1969, journalist and entertainer Nikos Aliagas has always divided his life between two worlds: France, where he grew up and still lives, and Greece, whose language and heritage remain an integral part of him.

Ce timbre a été utilisé sur la lettre ci-dessus avec TAD Premier Jour de Paris daté du 11 juin 2026.
Le TAD illustre la chouette d'Athéna, symbole de la Grèce, de la connaissance et de la sagesse.
Cette photographie, représentant deux oliviers centenaires enlacés, rend hommage à l'olivier comme symbole universel de paix, de transmission et de résistance. Il célèbre également une certaine idée de la Méditerranée: celle d'un monde où les racines profondes n'empêchent jamais l'ouverture à l'autre...

This photograph, showing two intertwined ancient olive trees, pays tribute to the olive tree as a universal symbol of peace, the passing on of heritage, and resilience. It also celebrates a particular vision of the Mediterranean: a world where deep roots never hinder openness to others.
Notably, this stamp incorporates augmented reality via a QR code; scanning it with Philaposte's dedicated app (Phil'appli) brings the image to life and allows the viewer to hear the artist's voice.
