"Traditional Musical Instruments" stamp set on FDC from Kyrgyzstan (KEP)

La musique a toujours occupé une place de choix dans la culture kirghize. Elle a accompagné le peuple kirghize à chaque étape de sa vie, des campagnes militaires à l'accueil des invités, en passant par les fêtes et les commémorations.
Les instruments de musique ont transmis la mémoire de génération en génération, contribuant à préserver l'histoire, les légendes et l'épopée nationale "Manas".
Aujourd'hui, les mélodies traditionnelles résonnent non seulement dans les ensembles folkloriques, mais aussi sur les scènes contemporaines, et certains instruments connaissent un regain de popularité dans l'ethno-jazz et la musique expérimentale.
La culture musicale kirghize puise ses racines dans l'Antiquité et est richement représentée par ses instruments folkloriques, chacun reflétant le caractère et l'âme de la nation.
Le 29 décembre 2025, la Kyrgyz Express Post (KEP) a mis en circulation une jolie série (2 timbres) illustrant certains de ces instruments emblématiques, en particulier le temir komuz et le komuz.
Ces 2 timbres (150 KGS et 300 KGS) figurent sur le FDC officiel ci-dessous (tirage : 300) envoyé depuis Bichkek, la capitale. 
Music has always held a special place in the culture of Kyrgyzstan. It accompanied the Kyrgyz people through all stages of life – from military campaigns and welcoming guests to festive celebrations and memorial rituals.
Musical instruments carried the memory of generations, helping to preserve history, legends and the national epic "Manas".
Today, traditional melodies are heard not only in folklore ensembles but also on modern stages, and some instruments are gaining new popularity in ethno-jazz and experimental music.
Kyrgyz musical culture has ancient roots and is richly represented by folk instruments, each of which reflects the character and soul of the nation. 
On December 29, 2025, the Kyrgyz Express Post (KEP) issued a charming series (two stamps) depicting some of these iconic instruments, particularly the temir komuz and the komuz.
These two stamps (150 KGS and 300 KGS) are featured on the official FDC below (print run: 300) sent from Bishkek, the capital. 

Ces 2 timbres (tirage : 5000 chacun, conception : Daria Maier à partir d'illustrations de Maxim Mardari) sont respectivement consacrés au temir komuz (150 KGS) et au komuz (300 KGS), un 3ème instrument, la vièle kyl kyiak figurant sur l'enveloppe Premier Jour.
Le temir komuz est l'un des plus anciens lamellophones kirghizes, une sorte de guimbarde. Fabriqué en métal, le temir komuz produit des sons vibratoires uniques, créés par l'oscillation de la langue dans la bouche du musicien. De petite taille, il accompagnait traditionnellement les épopées, les chants folkloriques et les improvisations, transmettant ambiance et rythme par le souffle et le mouvement. Aujourd'hui, il est également utilisé dans des projets musicaux contemporains, reliant ainsi les traditions ancestrales aux nouvelles formes d'art.
Le komuz est un symbole de la tradition musicale et du patrimoine spirituel kirghizes. Cet instrument à trois cordes pincées est sculpté dans une seule pièce de bois, le plus souvent d'abricotier ou de noyer. Il produit un son mélodique et expressif, utilisé pour interpréter des mélodies folkloriques, des danses et pour accompagner l'épopée "Manas". Les musiciens modernes continuent d'expérimenter avec le komuz, l'intégrant à des compositions de genres variés – de la musique classique à l'ethno-rock – tout en préservant son essence culturelle. 
These two stamps (print run: 5,000 each, design: Daria Maier based on illustrations by Maxim Mardari) are respectively dedicated to the temir komuz (150 KGS) and the komuz (300 KGS), a third instrument, the kyl kyiak, being featured on the First Day Cover.
The Temir komuz is one of the most ancient Kyrgyz plucked lamellophones, a type of jaw harp. It is made of metal and produces unique, vibrating sounds created by the oscillation of the tongue within the performer’s mouth. Small in size, the temir komuz traditionally accompanied epic tales, folk songs, and improvisations, conveying mood and rhythm through breath and movement. Today, it is also used in contemporary music projects, connecting ancient traditions with new forms of art.
The Komuz is a symbol of Kyrgyz musical tradition and spiritual heritage. This three-stringed plucked instrument is carved from a single piece of wood, most often apricot or walnut. The komuz produces a melodic and expressive sound, used to perform folk melodies, dances and to accompany the "Manas" epic. Modern musicians continue to experiment with the komuz, incorporating it into compositions of various genres – from classical music to ethno-rock – while preserving its cultural essence. 

Ces 2 timbres ont été imprimés (en Moldavie par Nova Imprim) chacun en feuillet (ci-dessus, tirage : 1000 feuillets par timbre) constitué de 5 timbres + 1 vignette (illustrant des musiciens). 
Dans le cadre de l'émission de cette série de timbres, la Kyrgyz Express Post a également mis en circulation les 2 cartes maximum ci-dessous (tirage : 300 chacune), numérotées de MC-165 à MC-166.
These two stamps have been printed (in Moldova by Nova Imprim), each in a sheetlet (see above, print run: 1,000 sheetlets per stamp) consisting of five stamps plus one label (depicting musicians).
As part of the issue of this stamp set, the Kyrgyz Express Post also released the two maxicards below (print run: 300 each), numbered MC-165 to MC-166. 

EUROPA 2026 (70th anniversary of the EUROPA stamps) stamp set on FDC from Portugal (Azores)

L'année 2026 marque le 70ème anniversaire des timbres EUROPA, une initiative philatélique lancée pour renforcer les relations entre les pays européens et promouvoir une paix et une unité durables.
Émis pour la première fois en 1956 par six nations – la Belgique, la France, l'Allemagne, l'Italie, le Luxembourg et les Pays-Bas, membres fondateurs de l'Union européenne – ce programme s'est étendu progressivement à 53 organisations postales participantes.
L'an dernier, le groupe de travail Timbres et Philatélie de PostEurop a organisé un concours interne pour choisir un motif commun sur le thème "70ème anniversaire du timbre EUROPA : Unis par...".
Guidés par des valeurs partagées telles que la communication, l'innovation, la coopération et des racines communes, les membres ont soumis 15 propositions créatives, chacune présentant une vision unique. 
Suite au vote de 50 organisations postales, ce concours a été remporté par la poste finlandaise (Posti), devant la poste de Bosnie-Herzégovine (Sarajevo) et la poste luxembourgeoise.
C'est donc le projet de l'artiste et graphiste Klaus Welp qui figure sur les timbres EUROPA émis en 2026.

Last year, PostEurop's Stamps and Philately Working Group organized an internal competition to choose a common design on the theme "70th Anniversary of the EUROPA Stamp: United by...".
Guided by shared values ​​such as communication, innovation, cooperation, and common roots, the members submitted 15 creative proposals, each presenting a unique vision.
Following a vote by 50 postal organizations, the Finnish Post (Posti) won the competition, ahead of the Post of Bosnia & Herzegovina (Sarajevo) and the Post of Luxembourg.
The design by artist and graphic designer Klaus Welp will therefore be featured on the EUROPA stamps issued in 2026.

Comme les années précédentes, 3 timbres EUROPA (1,30€, tirage : 40000 chacun) ainsi que 3 blocs-feuillets (1 timbre chacun, 3,75€, tirage : 18000 chacun, conception : Unidesign / Hélder Soares) ont été mis en circulation le 9 mai 2026 (Journée de l'Europe) par la poste portugaise (CTT) dont deux incluant les mentions "Açores" et "Madeira", comme de coutume. 
Le timbre et le bloc-feuillet de la version des Açores figurent sur l'enveloppe ci-dessus avec TAD Premier Jour de Ponta Delgada. Merci beaucoup Pedro ! 
Le dessin conçu par Klaus Welp est reproduit sur le timbre isolé ainsi que dans la partie supérieure du timbre du bloc-feuillet.
Il allie éléments abstraits et symboliques. La ligne pointillée ascendante en diagonale représente à la fois la perforation du timbre et le travail progressif de PostEurop. Les sept points, reliés par une ligne droite, symbolisent soixante-dix ans d'efforts concertés des opérateurs postaux à travers le continent.
Les dégradés et les motifs pointillés en arrière-plan forment une surface harmonieuse et dynamique, reflétant le joyeux mélange de couleurs du drapeau européen et symbolisant l'unité de tous les États membres.
La partie inférieure du bloc-feuillet a été conçue à partir du bloc-feuillet EUROPA (2 timbres) émis par les Açores en 2010 (thème : livres pour enfants), une œuvre de Teresa Lima. Cette série fut lauréate du Prix international d'art philatélique ASIAGO (les "oscars" de la philatélie décernés chaque année depuis 1970 à Asiago en Italie) en 2011. 
Les premiers timbres EUROPA avec mention "Portugal - Açores" ont été émis en 1981 (Folklore et fêtes) puis chaque année suivante (sauf en 1995). 
As in previous years, three EUROPA stamps (€1.30, print run: 40,000 each) and three souvenir sheets (one stamp each, €3.75, print run: 18,000 each, design: Unidesign / Hélder Soares) were released on May 9, 2026 (Europe Day) by the Portuguese Post (CTT), two of which including the mentions "Azores" and "Madeira," as usual.

The design by Klaus Welp is reproduced on the individual stamp as well as in the upper part of the stamp in the souvenir sheet.
It combines abstract and symbolic elements. The diagonally ascending dotted line represents both the perforation of a stamp and the progressive work of the PostEurop. The seven dots, connected by a straight line, symbolize seventy years of unified effort by postal operators across the continent.
The blending gradients and dotted patterns in the background form a cohesive and vibrant surface, reflecting the joyful mix of colours from the European flag and symbolizing the unity of all member nations.
The lower part of the souvenir sheet was designed based on the EUROPA souvenir sheet (2 stamps) issued by the Azores in 2010 (theme: children's books), a work by Teresa Lima. This series won the ASIAGO International Philatelic Art Prize (the "Oscars" of philately, awarded annually since 1970 in Asiago, Italy) in 2011.
The first EUROPA stamps bearing the inscription "Portugal - Azores" were issued in 1981 (Folklore and Feasts) and every year thereafter (except 1995). 

Euromed Postal 2025 (Resources of the Mediterranean) stamp on FDC from Cyprus

Timbre Euromed Postal 2025 (Ressources de la Méditerranée) sur FDC de Chypre 

Pour rappel, depuis 2014, certains pays membres (23 au total actuellement) de l'Union Postale pour la Méditerranée (PUMed), une union restreinte de l'UPU, émettent chaque année des timbres "Euromed Postal" ayant un thème commun lié à la région méditerranéenne.
Après les sports de la Méditerranée en 2024, les 14 administrations postales participantes ont émis en 2025 des timbres "Euromed Postal" différents consacrés au thème des ressources de la Méditerranée.
La version chypriote de ce timbre (0,75€, tirage : 55000, imprimé en feuillet de 8 timbres), conçu par Marios Kouroufexis, émis le 9 juillet 2025, figure sur le FDC officiel (tirage : 3500) ci-dessous.
A noter qu'aucune mention de lieu précis ne figure sur le TAD Premier Jour mais uniquement "Chypre" en grec, turc et anglais (comme sur le timbre). 
As a reminder, since 2014, some member countries (currently 23 in total) of the Postal Union for the Mediterranean (PUMed), a restricted union of the UPU, are issuing each year  "Euromed Postal" stamps devoted to a common theme related to the Mediterranean region.   
Following Sports in the Mediterranean in 2024, the 14 participating postal administrations issued different "Euromed Postal" stamps in 2025 dedicated to the theme of Resources of the Mediterranean.
The Cypriot version of this stamp (€0.75, print run: 55,000, printed in a sheetlet of 8 stamps), designed by Marios Kouroufexis, issued on July 9, 2025, is present on the official FDC (print run: 3,500) below.
To note that no specific location is mentioned on the First Day postmark but only "Cyprus" in Greek, Turkish and English (as on the stamp). 

L'objectif de ce thème 2025 est de souligner les ressources qui déterminent la qualité de vie et l'histoire de la région méditerranéenne.
Chypre, avec sa riche tradition, ses ressources naturelles importantes et son orientation moderne vers la viabilité, présente des turbines éoliennes à travers le timbre de cette année, soulignant l'importance des sources d'énergie renouvelables en tant que ressource précieuse pour le présent et l'avenir de la Méditerranée.
Ces éoliennes symbolisent également la croissance verte et la nécessité de protéger l'environnement, dans le cadre d'un effort méditerranéen commun de transition énergétique. 
Orites est le plus grand parc éolien de Chypre (capacité de 82 MW). Il représente plus de 20% de la capacité de production d'électricité renouvelable de Chypre. Ce parc éolien est en service depuis 2011 et comprend 41 éoliennes. 
Chypre vise à atteindre une part de 31% d'énergies renouvelables dans la production d'électricité d'ici 2030, conformément aux objectifs plus larges de l'Union européenne et à l'Accord de Paris.
The aim of this 2025 theme is to highlight the resources that shape the quality of life and history of the Mediterranean region.
Cyprus, with its rich tradition, significant natural resources, and modern focus on sustainability, features wind turbines on this year's stamp, emphasizing the importance of renewable energy sources as a valuable resource for the present and future of the Mediterranean.
These wind turbines also symbolize green growth and the need to protect the environment, as part of a shared Mediterranean effort toward energy transition.
Orites is Cyprus's largest wind farm (82 MW capacity). It accounts for more than 20% of Cyprus's renewable electricity generation capacity. This wind farm has been operational since 2011 and comprises 41 wind turbines.
Cyprus aims to achieve a 31% share of renewable energy in electricity production by 2030, in line with the broader objectives of the European Union and the Paris Agreement.

Le 8 mai 2026, la poste grecque Elta a mis en circulation un timbre EUROPA unique (3€, tirage : 100000, mise en page : Anthoula Lygka) reproduisant le dessin conçu par Klaus Welp.  
Ce timbre a été imprimé dans un feuillet de 8 timbres ainsi que dans un carnet numéroté (tirage : 4000) composé de 2 timbres (sans dentelures horizontales).
Les 2 versions de ce timbre EUROPA ont été utilisées sur la lettre ci-dessus avec TAD Premier Jour d'Athènes. Merci beaucoup Alqi !

On May 8, 2026, the Greek Post Elta put into circulation a unique EUROPA stamp (€3.00, print run: 100,000, layout by Anthoula Lygka) reproducing the design by Klaus Welp.
This stamp was printed in a sheetlet of 8 stamps as well as in a numbered booklet (print run: 4,000) containing 2 stamps (without horizontal perforations).

It is worth noting that Greece issued its first EUROPA stamp in 1960, reproducing a common design (by the Finnish artist Pentti Rahikainen) depicting a 19-spoke Roman chariot wheel, one spoke for each member of the CEPT (established in 1959), incorporated into the letter O of the word "EUROPA".  

"Peregrine Falcon Migration" joint stamp set with Liechtenstein, on FDC from Gibraltar

Série "Migration des faucons pèlerins", commune avec le Liechtenstein, sur FDC de Gibraltar 

Le 10 novembre 2025, les administrations postale de Gibraltar et du Liechtenstein ont mis en circulation 2 blocs-feuillets mixtes communs intitulés "Jeunes faucons pèlerins - migration d'hier et d'aujourd'hui".
Chaque bloc-feuillet est constitué de 2 timbres, un émis par Gibraltar et un par le Liechtenstein, illustrant les routes de migration du faucon pèlerin (Falco peregrinus) entre les Alpes et la Méditerranée.
Les 2 timbres (1,70£) de cette série commune émis par Gibraltar, conçus par Stephen Perera à partir d'illustrations de Jonathan Pointer, figurent sur le FDC officiel ci-dessous.
Le faucon pèlerin est un oiseau réputé pour sa puissance, sa vitesse et son élégance. Considéré comme l'animal le plus rapide de la planète, il peut atteindre des vitesses de piqué supérieures à 320 km/h lorsqu'il fond sur sa proie.
Doté d'une vue perçante, estimée huit fois plus performante que celle de l'homme, il chasse avec une précision remarquable. Présent sur tous les continents à l'exception de l'Antarctique, le faucon pèlerin incarne l'adaptabilité et l'endurance. 
On November 10, 2025, the postal administrations of Gibraltar and Liechtenstein released two joint souvenir sheets entitled "The young Peregrine falcon - Migration yesterday and today".
Each souvenir sheet consists of two stamps, one issued by Gibraltar and one by Liechtenstein, illustrating the migration routes of the peregrine falcon (Falco peregrinus) between the Alps and the Mediterranean.
The two stamps (£1.70) in this joint series issued by Gibraltar, designed by Stephen Perera based on illustrations by Jonathan Pointer, are present on the official first day cover below.
The peregrine falcon is a bird renowned for its power, speed, and grace. Regarded as the fastest animal on Earth, it can reach diving speeds of over 320 km/h when stooping after its prey.
With keen eyesight, estimated to be eight times sharper than that of humans, it hunts prey with remarkable precision. Found on every continent except Antarctica, the peregrine falcon embodies adaptability and endurance. 

À Gibraltar, l'espèce niche le long des falaises calcaires abruptes du Rocher, où l'on peut souvent observer les adultes planant au-dessus du détroit ou perchés sur les corniches côtières scrutant la mer en contrebas. Sa présence imposante au-dessus de ce passage entre l'Europe et l'Afrique en a fait un emblème de vigilance et de force.
Au Liechtenstein, le faucon pèlerin évolue dans un territoire alpin où se mêlent sommets et vallées. Il plane avec aisance sur les courants ascendants et niche sur les crêtes rocheuses surplombant la vallée du Rhin.
Ces habitats contrastés, mer et montagne, illustrent à merveille l'étendue de sa répartition géographique et sa capacité à prospérer des falaises côtières aux hautes altitudes.
Sur cette série, chaque pays a représenté le faucon pèlerin dans son milieu naturel : les timbres de Gibraltar le montrent en vol et perché au sommet du Rocher, ceux du Liechtenstein le présentent planant avec élégance au-dessus des cimes alpines et perché sur fond de vallée.
Ensemble, ces quatre timbres forment une collection qui unit la mer et le ciel, le nord et le sud - deux petites nations liées par une même admiration pour la nature.
Au-delà de leur attrait esthétique, ces timbres véhiculent un message de résilience. Autrefois menacé d'extinction dans certaines régions d'Europe à cause des pesticides, le faucon pèlerin a connu l'un des plus grands succès de conservation grâce aux efforts de protection internationaux.
In Gibraltar, the species nests along the Rock's sheer limestone cliffs, where adults can often be seen soaring above the Strait or perched on coastal ledges scanning the sea below. Its commanding presence above the gateway between Europe and Africa has made it an emblem of vigilance and strength.
In Liechtenstein, the peregrine falcon's domain lies among alpine peaks and valleys, where it glides effortlessly on mountain thermals and nests on rocky crags high above the Rhine Valley.
These contrasting habitats, sea and mountain, beautifully illustrate the bird's global range and its ability to thrive from coastal cliffs to high altitudes.
In this series, each country has depicted the peregrine falcon in its natural habitat: Gibraltar's stamps show it in flight, perched atop the Rock, whilst Liechtenstein's stamps present it soaring with elegance over alpine summits and perched with a mountain valley backdrop.
Together, these four stamps form a collection that unites sea and sky, north and south - two small nations bound by a shared admiration for nature.
Beyond their aesthetic appeal, these stamps carry a deeper message of resilience. Once brought to the brink of extinction in parts of Europe due to pesticide use, the peregrine falcon has made one of conservation's greatest comebacks thanks to international protection efforts.

The year 2026 marks the 70th anniversary of the EUROPA stamps, a philatelic initiative launched to strengthen relations between European countries and promote lasting peace and unity.
First issued in 1956 by six nations – Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, and the Netherlands, founding members of the European Union – this program has gradually expanded to include 53 participating postal organizations.
Last year, PostEurop's Stamps and Philately Working Group organized an internal competition to choose a common design on the theme "70th Anniversary of the EUROPA Stamp: United by...".
Guided by shared values ​​such as communication, innovation, cooperation, and common roots, the members submitted 15 creative proposals, each presenting a unique vision.
Following a vote by 50 postal organizations, the Finnish Post (Posti) won the competition, ahead of the Post of Bosnia & Herzegovina (Sarajevo) and the Post of Luxembourg.
The design by artist and graphic designer Klaus Welp will therefore be featured on the EUROPA stamps issued in 2026. 

Le 5 mai 2026, la poste de Macédoine du Nord a mis en circulation un timbre EUROPA unique (184 MKD, tirage : 6000) reproduisant le dessin conçu par Klaus Welp.  
Ce timbre, imprimé en feuillet de 9 timbres, a été utilisé sur la lettre ci-dessus, envoyée en recommandé le 7 mai 2026 depuis Ǵorče Petrov, une des 10 communes spéciales qui constituent la ville de Skopje, la capitale. Merci beaucoup Sinisha ! 
Ce timbre EUROPA allie éléments abstraits et symboliques. La ligne pointillée ascendante en diagonale représente à la fois la perforation du timbre et le travail progressif de PostEurop. Les sept points, reliés par une ligne droite, symbolisent soixante-dix ans d'efforts concertés des opérateurs postaux à travers le continent.
Les dégradés et les motifs pointillés en arrière-plan forment une surface harmonieuse et dynamique, reflétant le joyeux mélange de couleurs du drapeau européen et symbolisant l'unité de tous les États membres.
A noter que la Macédoine du Nord (Macédoine à l'époque) a émis ses premiers timbres EUROPA en 1996 (Mère Teresa et Vera Ciriviri-Trena), illustrant alors le thème des femmes européennes célèbres.
On May 5, 2026, the North Macedonian postal administration issued a unique EUROPA stamp (184 MKD, print run: 6,000) reproducing the design by Klaus Welp.
This stamp, printed in a sheetlet of nine, was used on the cover above, sent by registered mail on May 7, 2026, from Ǵorče Petrov, one of the ten special municipalities that compose the city of Skopje, the capital. Thank you very much, Sinisha!
This EUROPA stamp combines abstract and symbolic elements. The diagonally ascending dotted line represents both the perforation of a stamp and the progressive work of the PostEurop. The seven dots, connected by a straight line, symbolize seventy years of unified effort by postal operators across the continent.
The blending gradients and dotted patterns in the background form a cohesive and vibrant surface, reflecting the joyful mix of colours from the European flag and symbolizing the unity of all member nations.
 It is worth noting that North Macedonia (then Macedonia) issued its first EUROPA stamps in 1996 (featuring Mother Teresa and Vera Ciriviri-Trena), illustrating that year the theme of famous European women.

TAD "80 ans de la naissance de l'illustratrice Eva Hašková" sur lettre de République tchèque 

Depuis 1996, l'artiste graphique et illustratrice Eva Hašková a conçu 32 timbres (sauf omission) pour la poste tchèque (en particulier le timbre EUROPA 2012), révélant ainsi son énorme talent au plus grand nombre.
Mais Eva Hašková, née le 4 janvier 1946 à Kladno, diplômée de l'Académie des Arts, de l'Architecture et du Design de Prague, est aussi une grande illustratrice, une grande partie de son travail étant réalisée en utilisant un procédé en taille-douce combinant gravure et aquatinte.
Membre de l'association des graphistes tchèques Hollar (SČUG Hollar), elle a reçu de nombreux prix pour son travail au cours de sa carrière et a beaucoup exposé ses œuvres tant en République tchèque qu'à l'étranger. 
Le 4 janvier 2026, la poste tchèque a mis en circulation un TAD spécial (conception : Jan Maget) consacré au 80ème anniversaire (jour pour jour) de la naissance d'Eva Hašková. 
Since 1996, the graphic artist and illustrator Eva Hašková has designed a total of 32 stamps for the Czech Post (in particular the EUROPA 2012 stamp), revealing her talent to the greatest number.
But Eva Hašková, born on January 4, 1946 in Kladno, a graduate of the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague, is also a great illustrator, much of her work being done using an intaglio process combining etching and aquatint.

Slavek a utilisé le timbre EUROPA (20 CZK) émis le 2 mai 2012 et conçu par Eva Hašková (gravé par Bohumil Šneider), en 2 exemplaires, illustrant cette année-là le thème "Visitez...", évoquant deux monuments emblématiques de la capitale tchèque : la tour du pont de la vieille ville à gauche et la Maison dansante ("Tančící dům") à droite. 
La tour du pont de la vieille ville, considérée comme un des édifices gothiques les plus beaux d'Europe, a été construite à la fin du 14ème siècle sur la rive droite de la rivière Vltava, servant de porte d'entrée au célèbre Pont Charles.
La Maison dansante a été la première construction à Prague, après la révolution de velours, conçue par de grands architectes internationaux (Vlado Milunić et Frank O. Gehry). Achevée en 1996, ce symbole de l'architecture déconstructiviste a été surnommé "Ginger et Fred" car ses 2 tours évoque une célèbre danse de Fred Astair et Ginger Rogers...
Abritant des bureaux, un café et un restaurant, cet édifice audacieux a suscité de nombreuses polémiques lors de sa construction.

Slavek used two copies of the EUROPA stamp (20 CZK) issued on May 2, 2012, designed by Eva Hašková (engraved by Bohumil Šneider). That year's stamp illustrated the theme "Visit..." and featured two iconic landmarks of the Czech capital: the Old Town Bridge Tower on the left and the Dancing House ("Tančící dům") on the right. 
The Old Town Bridge Tower, considered as one of the most beautiful Gothic buildings in Europe, was built in the late 14th century on the right bank of the Vltava River, serving as a gateway to the famous Charles Bridge. 
The Dancing House was the first one built in Prague after the Velvet Revolution, designed by leading international architects (Vlado Milunić et Frank O. Gehry). Completed in 1996, this symbol of deconstructivist architecture has been nicknamed "Ginger and Fred" because its two corner towers evoke a famous dance of Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers...
Housing offices, a cafe and a restaurant, this bold building sparked much controversy during its construction...

L'année 2026 marque le 70ème anniversaire des timbres EUROPA, une initiative philatélique lancée pour renforcer les relations entre les pays européens et promouvoir une paix et une unité durables.
Émis pour la première fois en 1956 par six nations – la Belgique, la France, l'Allemagne, l'Italie, le Luxembourg et les Pays-Bas, membres fondateurs de l'Union européenne – ce programme s'est étendu progressivement à 53 organisations postales participantes.
L'an dernier, le groupe de travail Timbres et Philatélie de PostEurop a organisé un concours interne pour choisir un motif commun sur le thème "70ème anniversaire du timbre EUROPA : Unis par...".
Guidés par des valeurs partagées telles que la communication, l'innovation, la coopération et des racines communes, les membres ont soumis 15 propositions créatives, chacune présentant une vision unique. 
Suite au vote de 50 organisations postales, ce concours a été remporté par la poste finlandaise (Posti), devant la poste de Bosnie-Herzégovine (Sarajevo) et la poste luxembourgeoise.

Le 9 mai 2026 (Journée de l'Europe), la poste estonienne a mis en circulation un timbre EUROPA unique (3,90€, tirage : 100000, mise en page : Birgit Pajust) reproduisant le dessin conçu par Klaus Welp. 
Ce timbre autocollant, imprimé en carnet de 10 timbres, figure sur le FDC officiel ci-dessus avec TAD de Tallinn. L'enveloppe a été conçue dans le style d'un panneau d'information de métro, affichant le mot Europe dans de nombreuses langues européennes et mondiales. 
A noter la mention EUROPA en estonien (EUROOPA) et dans une des langues sud-estoniennes (ÕURUUPA) sur le TAD.

On May 9, 2026 (Europe Day), the Estonian Post issued a unique EUROPA stamp (€3.90, print run: 100,000, layout: Birgit Pajust) reproducing the design by Klaus Welp.
This self-adhesive stamp, printed in a booklet of 10, is present on the official FDC above with postmark from Tallinn. The envelope was designed in the style of a subway information board, displaying the word "Europe" in numerous European and international languages.
To note the word "EUROPA" in Estonian (EUROOPA) and in one of the southern Estonian languages ​​(ÕURUUPA) on the cancellation.

"Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic Games" sheetlet on cover from Azerbaijan

Feuillet "Jeux olympiques de Milano Cortina 2026" sur lettre d'Azerbaïdjan 

Sauf erreur, l'administration postale de l'Azerbaïdjan n'avait pas émis de timbre dédié à des jeux olympiques d'hiver depuis les jeux de Nagano en 1998.
Des timbres émis en 1995 pour honorer des médaillés lors des jeux de Lillehammer en 1994 avaient toutefois été surchargés et remis en circulation en 2020.
Après un bloc-feuillet (1 timbre) émis en 2022 à l'occasion des jeux olympiques d'hiver de Beijing, un impressionnant feuillet (9 timbres à 0,5 AZN) a été mis en circulation le 16 mars 2026 (presque 1 mois après la fin de la compétition !), consacré aux 25èmes jeux olympiques d'hiver, organisés du 6 au 22 février 2026 à Milan et Cortina d'Ampezzo en Italie. 
Ce feuillet (tirage : 50000, conception : Orkhan Garayev), imprimé en Belgique par Bpost Stamps Production, a été utilisé sur la lettre ci-dessous envoyée le 24 avril 2026 depuis Bakou. Merci beaucoup Mahir !
Unless I'm mistaken, the Azerbaijani postal administration hadn't issued any stamp dedicated to the Winter Olympics since the Nagano Games in 1998.
However, stamps issued in 1995 to honor medalists at the 1994 Lillehammer Games were overprinted and reissued in 2020.
Following a souvenir sheet (one stamp) issued in 2022 for the Beijing Winter Olympics, an impressive sheetlet (nine stamps at 0.5 AZN each) was put into circulation on March 16, 2026 (almost a month after the end of the competition!), dedicated to the 25th Olympic Winter Games, held from February 6 to 22, 2026, in Milan and Cortina d'Ampezzo, Italy.
This sheetlet (print run: 50,000, design: Orkhan Garayev), printed in Belgium by Bpost Stamps Production, was used on the cover below, sent on April 24, 2026, from Baku. Thank you very much, Mahir!  

L'Azerbaïdjan participe aux jeux olympiques d'hiver depuis Nagano en 1998 en tant qu nation indépendante, sans jamais avoir remporté la moindre médaille.
A Milano Cortina, la délégation azerbaïdjanaise était composée de 2 athlètes, Vladimir Litvintsev et Anastasia Papathoma, engagés respectivement en patinage artistique et ski alpin. 
Les timbres de ce feuillet illustre certaines des 16 disciplines au programme de ces jeux : luge, ski de fond, snowboard, biathlon, patinage artistique, short-track, saut à ski, hockey sur glace et skeleton (pas de ski alpin, bobsleigh ou curling...).
Le fond de ces timbres est inspiré de l'identité visuelle de ces jeux de Milano Cortina, conçue à partir du geste humain, incarnant le talent du nouvel "esprit italien", en particulier la passion (tons roses) et l'énergie (tons verts) ici. 
Azerbaijan has participated in the Winter Olympics since Nagano in 1998 as an independent nation, without ever winning a medal.
At the Milano Cortina Games, the Azerbaijani delegation consisted of two athletes, Vladimir Litvintsev and Anastasia Papathoma, competing in figure skating and alpine skiing, respectively.
The stamps in this sheetlet illustrate some of the 16 disciplines featured in these games: luge, cross-country skiing, snowboarding, biathlon, figure skating, short track speed skating, ski jumping, ice hockey, and skeleton (alpine skiing, bobsleigh, or curling are missing...).
The background of these stamps is inspired by the visual identity of these Milano Cortina Games, designed around human movement, embodying the talent of the new "Italian spirit," particularly passion (pink tones) and energy (green tones) here.
