EUROPA 2026 (70th anniversary of the EUROPA stamps) stamp set on FDC from Ireland

Série EUROPA 2026 (70ème anniversaire des timbres EUROPA) sur FDC d'Irlande 

L'année 2026 marque le 70ème anniversaire des timbres EUROPA, une initiative philatélique lancée pour renforcer les relations entre les pays européens et promouvoir une paix et une unité durables.
Émis pour la première fois en 1956 par six nations – la Belgique, la France, l'Allemagne, l'Italie, le Luxembourg et les Pays-Bas, membres fondateurs de l'Union européenne – ce programme s'est étendu progressivement à 53 organisations postales participantes.
L'an dernier, le groupe de travail Timbres et Philatélie de PostEurop a organisé un concours interne pour choisir un motif commun sur le thème "70ème anniversaire du timbre EUROPA : Unis par...".
Guidés par des valeurs partagées telles que la communication, l'innovation, la coopération et des racines communes, les membres ont soumis 15 propositions créatives, chacune présentant une vision unique. 
Suite au vote de 50 organisations postales, ce concours a été remporté par la poste finlandaise (Posti), devant la poste de Bosnie-Herzégovine (Sarajevo) et la poste luxembourgeoise.
C'est donc le projet de l'artiste et graphiste Klaus Welp qui figure sur les timbres EUROPA émis en 2026. 
The year 2026 marks the 70th anniversary of the EUROPA stamps, a philatelic initiative launched to strengthen relations between European countries and promote lasting peace and unity.
First issued in 1956 by six nations – Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, and the Netherlands, founding members of the European Union – this program has gradually expanded to include 53 participating postal organizations.
Last year, PostEurop's Stamps and Philately Working Group organized an internal competition to choose a common design on the theme "70th Anniversary of the EUROPA Stamp: United by...".
Guided by shared values ​​such as communication, innovation, cooperation, and common roots, the members submitted 15 creative proposals, each presenting a unique vision.
Following a vote by 50 postal organizations, the Finnish Post (Posti) won the competition, ahead of the Post of Bosnia & Herzegovina (Sarajevo) and the Post of Luxembourg.
The design by artist and graphic designer Klaus Welp will therefore be featured on the EUROPA stamps issued in 2026. 

Le 10 septembre 2026, la poste irlandaise "An Post" a mis en circulation une jolie série (2 timbres) consacrée à ce thème du 70ème anniversaire des timbres EUROPA, dont un incluant le logo EUROPA, celui reproduisant le projet de Klaus Welp (tarif permanent "E" pour un envoi en Europe jusqu'à 100g - 3,50€ actuellement, tirage : 43000). 
Ces 2 timbres autocollants, imprimés (par Royal Joh. Enschedé) chacun en feuillet de 4 timbres, ont été utilisés sur la lettre ci-dessus avec leurs TADs Premier Jour respectifs de Dublin ("Baile Átha Cliath"). Merci beaucoup Declan !
Le timbre EUROPA, à gauche, allie éléments abstraits et symboliques. La ligne pointillée ascendante en diagonale représente à la fois la perforation du timbre et le travail progressif de PostEurop. Les sept points, reliés par une ligne droite, symbolisent soixante-dix ans d'efforts concertés des opérateurs postaux à travers le continent.
Les dégradés et les motifs pointillés en arrière-plan forment une surface harmonieuse et dynamique, reflétant le joyeux mélange de couleurs du drapeau européen et symbolisant l'unité de tous les États membres.
On September 10, 2026, the Irish postal service, "An Post," issued a lovely two-stamp series dedicated to this 70th anniversary of EUROPA stamps. One of these features the EUROPA logo and reproduces the design by Klaus Welp (permanent "E" rate for mail to Europe weighing up to 100g—currently €3.50; print run: 43,000).
These two self-adhesive stamps—printed by Royal Joh. Enschedé in sheetlets of four—have been used on the cover above, with their respective First Day postmarks from Dublin ("Baile Átha Cliath"). Many thanks, Declan!
The EUROPA stamp, on the left, combines abstract and symbolic elements. The diagonally ascending dotted line represents both the perforation of a stamp and the progressive work of the PostEurop. The seven dots, connected by a straight line, symbolize seventy years of unified effort by postal operators across the continent.
The blending gradients and dotted patterns in the background form a cohesive and vibrant surface, reflecting the joyful mix of colours from the European flag and symbolizing the unity of all member nations.

L'autre timbre (tarif domestique "N" pour un envoi jusqu'à 100g, 1,85€ actuellement, tirage : 55000), conçu par l'agence "The Stone Twins", figure également sur l'enveloppe spéciale ci-dessus avec TAD Premier Jour évoquant "STAMPA 2026", l'exposition nationale de philatélie, organisée du 10 au 12 septembre 2026 au Griffith College à Dublin.
Cette série EUROPA a en effet été mise en vente lors de cette exposition STAMPA 2026.
"The Stone Twins" est une agence de création spécialisée dans l'image de marque, basée à Amsterdam, fondée par les frères jumeaux Declan et Garech Stone (nés en 1970 à Dublin). Je suppose que la signature sur cette enveloppe est celle d'un des 2 frères...
Ce timbre (sans le logo EUROPA) reprend (en gris) les 7 points en diagonale du timbre commun. Il représente par ailleurs des points lumineux, qui se chevauchent parfois, arborant les couleurs des drapeaux des pays européens. Leur contraste ludique traduit la joie de voir des personnes aux profils variés œuvrer ensemble pour rendre le monde meilleur.
A noter que l'Irlande a émis ses premiers timbres EUROPA en 1960, reproduisant un dessin commun (par le finlandais Pentti Rahikainen) représentant une roue de char romain à 19 rayons, un pour chacun des membres de la CEPT (créée en 1959), incluse dans la lettre O du mot "EUROPA". 
The other stamp (domestic "N" rate for items up to 100g, currently €1.85, print run: 55,000)—designed by the agency "The Stone Twins"—also appears on the special envelope above, featuring a "First Day of Issue" postmark with the mention "STAMPA 2026", the national philatelic exhibition held from September 10 to 12, 2026, at Griffith College in Dublin.
This EUROPA series was indeed released for sale during this STAMPA 2026 exhibition.
"The Stone Twins" is an Amsterdam-based creative agency specializing in branding, founded by twin brothers Declan and Garech Stone (born in Dublin in 1970). I assume the signature on this envelope belongs to one of the two brothers...
This stamp (which omits the EUROPA logo) incorporates the seven diagonal dots from the common-design stamp (rendered in gray). It also depicts bright, sometimes overlapping dots showing the colours of the flags of the European countries. Their playful contrast captures the joy of different bodies working together to help to make the world a better place.
It is worth noting that Ireland issued its first EUROPA stamps in 1960, reproducing a common design (by the Finnish artist Pentti Rahikainen) depicting a 19-spoke Roman chariot wheel, one spoke for each member of the CEPT (established in 1959), incorporated into the letter O of the word "EUROPA".     

"2026 FIFA World Cup – Come on Norway" souvenir sheet on cover from Norway

Bloc-feuillet "Coupe du monde de la FIFA 2026 - Allez la Norvège" sur lettre de Norvège 

Lors de la Coupe du monde de la FIFA (23ème édition), organisée du 11 juin au 19 juillet 2026 au Canada, Mexique et États-Unis, l'équipe masculine de Norvège a réalisé un parcours historique en atteignant les quarts de finale (défaite 2-1 contre l'Angleterre).
Menée par le sélectionneur Ståle Solbakken, le capitaine Martin Ødegaard et la star Erling Haaland, la sélection scandinave a signé son grand retour sur la scène mondiale après 28 ans d'absence (leur dernière participation remontait à 1998 en France).
Lors de la phase de qualification en Europe, la Norvège avait au préalable survolé le groupe I avec un bilan parfait de 8 victoires en 8 matchs (dont 2 victoires contre l'Italie), marquant 37 buts pour seulement 5 encaissés. L'attaquant star Erling Haaland a terminé meilleur buteur de ces qualifications avec un total impressionnant de 16 buts.

Ce bloc-feuillet (conception : Fredrik William Blekstad, tirage : 50000), conçu en collaboration avec la Fédération norvégienne de football (NFF) reproduit l'emblème de l'équipe nationale sur lequel sont représentés le sélectionneur Ståle Solbakken (en bas) ainsi que l'ensemble des joueurs (34 au total !) ayant participé aux qualifications pour la Coupe du Monde de la FIFA 2026. 
Les 2 stars de l'équipe nationale (19ème au classement FIFA à date), Martin Ødegaard et Erling Haaland, figurent au centre, de façon plus importante que les autres joueurs.
A noter que le tarif de cette lettre est incorrect, un envoi "Lite" vers l'Europe coûtant normalement 37 NOK actuellement...
To wish the team good luck for this FIFA World Cup, Norway Post issued a souvenir sheet on June 11, 2026 (domestic "small letter" or "Lite" rate—currently 28 NOK) titled "Come on Norway" ("Heia Norge").

This souvenir sheet (designed by Fredrik William Blekstad; print run: 50,000), created in collaboration with the Norwegian Football Federation (NFF), features the national team's emblem. It depicts head coach Ståle Solbakken (at the bottom) along with all the players (34 in total!) who participated in the qualifiers for this 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The two stars of the national team (ranked 19th in the FIFA rankings at the time)—Martin Ødegaard and Erling Haaland—appear in the center, depicted more prominently than the other players.
It is worth noting that the postage paid on this letter is incorrect; a "Lite" shipment to Europe currently costs 37 NOK...  

"Human Space Programme" souvenir sheet on cover from India

Bloc-feuillet "Programme de vols spatiaux habités" sur lettre d'Inde 

La Journée internationale du vol spatial habité est célébrée chaque année le 12 avril, commémorant le premier vol spatial habité de Youri Gagarine.
Elle a été proclamée lors de la 65ème session de l'Assemblée générale des Nations Unies en 2011, quelques jours avant le 50ème anniversaire de ce vol historique.
Le 12 avril 2026, la poste indienne a mis en circulation 2 blocs-feuillets sur ce thème, en particulier consacré au programme indien de vols spatiaux habités, célébrant la transition de l'Inde, passée du statut de simple participante à celui de chef de file dans le domaine des technologies et de l'exploration spatiales.
Une partie d'un de ces 2 blocs-feuillets (20 INR, tirage : 110000, conception : Sh. Suresh Kumar) a été utilisée sur la lettre ci-dessous envoyée le 29 juillet 2026 depuis Margao (Goa), avec transit par erreur par l'aéroport de Mumbai (empreinte à gauche sur l'enveloppe). Merci beaucoup Elton !

International Day of Human Space Flight is celebrated annually on April 12, commemorating Yuri Gagarin's first human space flight.
It was proclaimed during the 65th session of the United Nations General Assembly in 2011, just days before the 50th anniversary of that historic flight.
On April 12, 2026, India Post issued two souvenir sheets on this theme—specifically dedicated to India's human space program—celebrating the country's transition from a mere participant to a leader in space technology and exploration.

The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), a major component of the Indian government's Department of Space (DoS), has been working for over 50 years to advance space technologies for national development and international cooperation.
ISRO has developed reliable launch vehicles such as the PSLV, GSLV, LVM-3, and SSLV, while also designing—in partnership with academia and industry—satellites for telecommunications, broadcasting, meteorology, navigation, disaster management, and resource monitoring.  

L'Inde a également franchi une étape historique lorsque Shubhanshu Shukla est devenu le premier astronaute indien à rejoindre la Station spatiale internationale dans le cadre de la mission Axiom-04 (du 25 juin au 15 juillet 2025). 
Le timbre de ce bloc-feuillet évoque cette mission Axiom-04, la marge à droite illustrant Aryabhata, le premier satellite artificiel indien, développé avec l'assistance de l'URSS et placé sur une orbite basse en 1975.
Elton a utilisé 2 autres timbres dont un (5 INR, tirage : 202800, conception : Nenu Gupta), émis le 13 février 2026, consacré à Seva Teerth, le nouveau bureau du Premier ministre à New Delhi, incarnant une vision de la gouvernance centrée sur le citoyen et fondée sur le service, le devoir et l'esprit de "Nagrik Devo Bhava" ("Que le citoyen soit traité comme Dieu")... 
L'autre timbre (5 INR, tirage : 306250, conception : Gulistaan Siddiqui), émis le 6 décembre 2024, évoque "Ashtalakshmi Mahotsav", un grand festival culturel et économique de trois jours (1ère édition en 2024), organisé par le gouvernement indien pour célébrer et mettre en valeur le riche patrimoine, l'artisanat et la diversité des huit états du nord-est de l'Inde (Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Manipur, Nagaland, Mizoram, Tripura, Sikkim).
Chacun de ces 8 états est représenté par un symbole sur ce timbre (bambou, sangai, ananas, danse Cheraw, calao bicorne, gayal, Xorai (ustensile), nœud sans fin).
India also reached a historic milestone when Shubhanshu Shukla became the first Indian astronaut to visit the International Space Station as part of the Axiom-04 mission (June 25 to July 15, 2025).
The stamp in this souvenir sheet commemorates this Axiom-04 mission, while the right-hand margin depicts Aryabhata—India's first artificial satellite, developed with USSR assistance and launched into low Earth orbit in 1975.
Elton used two other stamps: one (5 INR; print run: 202,800; design: Nenu Gupta), issued on February 13, 2026, features Seva Teerth, the Prime Minister's new office in New Delhi, embodying a vision of citizen-centric governance rooted in service, duty, and the spirit of "Nagrik Devo Bhava" ("May the citizen be treated as God")...
The other stamp (5 INR; print run: 306,250; design: Gulistaan ​​Siddiqui), issued on December 6, 2024, highlights "Ashtalakshmi Mahotsav", a major three-day cultural and economic festival (first edition held in 2024) organized by the Indian government to celebrate and showcase the rich heritage, craftsmanship, and diversity of India's eight Northeastern states (Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Manipur, Nagaland, Mizoram, Tripura, and Sikkim).
Each of these eight states is represented by a symbol on the stamp (bamboo, Sangai deer, pineapple, Cheraw dance, great hornbill, gayal, Xorai (ustensile), endless knot).  

"50 Years of AINA Summer Camps" stamp on FDC from Andorra (French Post)

Timbre "50 ans des colonies AINA" sur FDC d'Andorre (poste française) 

AINA est une association bien établie, basée à Canillo. Animée par des bénévoles, elle propose un large éventail d'activités éducatives et de loisirs, principalement en été, mais aussi tout au long de l'année.
Ces activités sont destinées en priorité aux jeunes d'Andorre, mais sont également ouvertes à ceux du diocèse d'Urgell, de Catalogne et d'autres pays.
Le principal instigateur de cette initiative est le prêtre catholique Ramon Rossell Serra (né en 1939), recteur de la paroisse de Canillo. C'est lui qui, en 1976, après une première expérience dans le monde des camps de vacances au sein du diocèse d'Urgell et en Andorre, avec l'aide de Mère Maria, de Teresina et de quelques jeunes animateurs courageux, a lancé cette aventure qui se poursuit encore aujourd'hui.
Il convient également de souligner que cette action a reçu le précieux soutien du peuple andorran, à travers ses mécènes et ses institutions, tant politiques que privées et religieuses.  
AINA is a well-established association based in Canillo. Driven by volunteers, it offers a wide range of educational and recreational activities—primarily in the summer, but also throughout the year.
These activities are aimed primarily at young people from Andorra, but are also open to those from the Diocese of Urgell, Catalonia, and other countries.
The driving force behind this initiative is the Catholic priest Ramon Rossell Serra (born in 1939), rector of the Canillo parish. It was he who, in 1976—following initial experience with holiday camps in the Diocese of Urgell and Andorra, and with the help of Mother Maria, Teresina, and a few courageous young leaders—launched this project, which continues to this day.
It is also worth noting that this initiative has received valuable support from the people of Andorra, through its patrons and institutions—whether political, private, or religious.

Le 11 juin 2026, la poste française en Andorre a mis en circulation un timbre (2,25€, tirage : 50010) consacré au 50ème anniversaire de ces colonies AINA, utilisé sur la lettre ci-dessus avec TAD Premier Jour.
Ce timbre, conçu par Cecilia Santañes Molina, montre une jeune fille participant aux activités des camps d'été AINA, tenant dans ses mains la statue de la Vierge de Meritxell dont le sanctuaire situé dans la paroisse de Canillo, est le cœur spirituel d'Andorre.
A noter que AINA est l'acronyme de "Any Internacional del Nen d'Andorra" ("Année internationale de l'enfant en Andorre"). En 1979, l'ONU proclame en effet l'Année internationale de l'enfant et cette année-là, la première pierre du grand bâtiment actuel a été posée à Canillo.
En catalan, Aina est également un prénom féminin traditionnel (équivalent d'Anna), ce qui renforce la dimension humaine et chaleureuse de ce projet.

On June 11, 2026, the French Post in Andorra issued a stamp (€2.25; print run: 50,010) commemorating the 50th anniversary of the AINA summer camps, used on the cover above with First Day postmarks.
Designed by Cecilia Santañes Molina, the stamp depicts a young girl participating in AINA summer camp activities and holding a statue of the Virgin of Meritxell; the sanctuary dedicated to her, located in the parish of Canillo, serves as the spiritual heart of Andorra.
It is worth noting that AINA is an acronym for "Any Internacional del Nen d'Andorra" ("International Year of the Child in Andorra"). The UN indeed proclaimed the International Year of the Child in 1979, the same year the foundation stone for the current large AINA facility was laid in Canillo.
In Catalan, Aina is also a traditional female first name (equivalent to Anna), a fact that reinforces the project's warm, human dimension.  

"61st Anniversary of Independence" miniature sheet on FDC from Singapore

Bloc-feuillet "61ème anniversaire de l'indépendance" sur FDC de Singapour 

Singapour célèbre en 2026 le 61ème anniversaire de son indépendance (le 9 août 1965 exactement) et la SingPost a mis en circulation, le 7 août 2026, une intéressante série (3 timbres) illustrant ce thème.
Ces 3 timbres (1st Local, 1,55$, 2$, conception : Lim Wenbin) ont également été imprimé dans un bloc-feuillet (avec titre imprimé avec une encre avec effet métallique argenté), présent sur le FDC officiel ci-dessous envoyé depuis le bureau postal de Tampines. Merci beaucoup Terence !
A noter la signature du concepteur de cette série à gauche sur l'enveloppe.
Cette série rend hommage aux tout premiers timbres émis pour célébrer le premier anniversaire de l'indépendance du pays, le 9 août 1966.
Ces 3 timbres émis en 1966 occupent une place unique dans l'histoire philatélique de Singapour car ils demeurent les seuls timbres singapouriens à porter la dénomination officielle complète "Republic of Singapore".
Cette série de 1966 comprenait trois valeurs faciales (15c, 20c, 30c) arborant un graphisme uniforme décliné en différentes couleurs ; elle illustrait le thème "Survivre dans un avenir exigeant au sein d'une société multiraciale", reflétant ainsi les priorités de la nation à l'époque. 
In 2026, Singapore celebrates the 61st anniversary of its independence (specifically on August 9, 1965), and SingPost released an interesting three-stamp series on August 7, 2026, illustrating this theme. 
These three stamps ("1st Local" rate, $1.55, and $2; designed by Lim Wenbin) were also issued as a miniature sheet (featuring a title printed in silver metallic ink), which appears on the official First Day Cover below, sent from the Tampines central post office. Many thanks, Terence!

Those three 1966 stamps hold a unique place in Singapore's philatelic history, as they remain the only Singaporean stamps to bear the full official designation "Republic of Singapore."
This 1966 series comprised three denominations (15c, 20c, and 30c) featuring a uniform design in varying colors; it illustrated the theme "Surviving in a Challenging Future in a Multi-Racial Society", thereby reflecting the nation's priorities at the time.  

Les visuels représentaient des travailleurs issus des diverses communautés de Singapour, des ensembles de logements sociaux et des infrastructures industrielles, symbolisant la ténacité, la volonté de survie et les aspirations économiques d'une nation nouvellement indépendante.
En superposant des détails contemporains complexes à l'esthétique pop-art emblématique des années 1960, cette nouvelle version 2026 offre une représentation visuelle de la transformation spectaculaire de Singapour au cours de ces 60 dernières années. The stamps depicted workers from Singapore's diverse communities, public housing estates, and industrial infrastructure, symbolizing the tenacity, will to survive, and economic aspirations of a newly independent nation.
By layering intricate contemporary details over the iconic 1960s Pop Art aesthetic, this new 2026 version offers a visual representation of Singapore's dramatic transformation over the past 60 years. Placing the 1966 and 2026 series side by side beautifully illustrates the progress Singapore has achieved.
While the 1966 stamps illustrated the young nation's economic vision, the 2026 issue reflects a country that has evolved from nation-building to global connectivity and sustainable development.
The top margin of the miniature sheet and the stamp on the right ($2) particularly highlight the country's incredible economic development—spanning transport, housing, trade (port operations), drone deliveries, and more. 

Pour célébrer la fête nationale (National Day) de Singapour, SingPost a mis en circulation une oblitération mécanique spéciale "Happy Birthday Singapore", appliquée sur le courrier entre le 3 et le 31 août 2026, uniquement valable pour les enveloppes de taille standard DL et les cartes postales, pesant moins de 20g.
C'est le cas sur l'enveloppe ci-dessus (encore merci Terence!) avec l'application de cette oblitération mécanique le 11 août 2026. Terence a utilisé un des 3 timbres (1,55$) de cette même série.

To celebrate Singapore's National Day, SingPost issued a special "Happy Birthday Singapore" machine slogan cancellation, applied to mail between August 3 and August 31, 2026; it was valid only for standard DL-sized envelopes and postcards weighing less than 20g.
This is the case with the envelope above (thanks again, Terence!), which bears this slogan cancellation dated August 11, 2026. Terence used one of the three stamps ($1.55) from this same series.
The Singapore flag appears in this cancellation (with also fireworks) as well as in the impressive blue cachet applied to the left side of the envelope, which depicts the iconic Marina Bay Sands—a hotel and commercial complex facing Marina Bay that opened in 2010.  

"590th anniversary of the founding of Chișinău" postmark on prepaid card from Moldova

La poste moldave a déjà émis dans le passé plusieurs oblitérations, cartes pré-timbrées ou séries de timbres consacrées à la fondation de la capitale du pays, Chișinău : 560ème anniversaire en 1996 (3 timbres), 570ème anniversaire en 2006 (cartes pré-timbrées), 575ème anniversaire en 2011 (cartes pré-timbrées, série de 5 timbres, oblitération), 580ème anniversaire (oblitération et enveloppe), 585ème anniversaire (carte pré-timbrée).
Une oblitération spéciale avait également été mise en circulation en 1991 mentionnant le 525ème anniversaire de Chișinău, ce qui est contradictoire avec les anniversaires évoqués ci-dessus. Cela s'explique car la fondation de Chișinău est souvent mentionnée en 1436 alors que certaines chroniques attestent pour la 1ère fois du nom du village de Chișinău en 1466.
Le 17 juillet 2026, un nouveau TAD (conception : Mihail Riga) a été mis en circulation, évoquant cette fois le 590ème anniversaire de la capitale moldave. 
Moldova's postal service has previously issued various special postmarks, prepaid cards, and stamp series commemorating the founding of the country's capital, Chișinău: the 560th anniversary in 1996 (3 stamps), the 570th anniversary in 2006 (prepaid cards), the 575th anniversary in 2011 (prepaid cards, set of 5 stamps, and a special postmark), the 580th anniversary (special postmark and envelope), and the 585th anniversary (prepaid card).
A special postmark was also released in 1991 marking the 525th anniversary of Chișinău—a date that conflicts with the anniversaries mentioned above. This discrepancy arises because the founding of Chișinău is often cited as 1436, whereas the name of the village of Chișinău appears in historical chronicles for the first time in 1466.
On July 17, 2026, a new special postmark (designed by Mihail Riga) was released, this time commemorating the 590th anniversary of the Moldovan capital.

Cette carte pré-timbrée (1,30 MDL, tirage : 2000, conception : Eugeniu Verebceanu) a été émise le 14 octobre 2021 pour commémorer le 585ème anniversaire de la première attestation écrite de la ville de Chișinău.
Le 13 octobre 2011, la poste moldave avait émis un bloc-feuillet (conception : Alexandru Kornienko, tirage : 75000) composé de 5 timbres + 1 vignette, consacré au 575ème anniversaire de Chișinău.
Un de ces timbres (1,20 MDL) ainsi que la vignette de ce bloc-feuillet ont été utilisés à gauche sur cette carte. 
La vignette reproduit une photographie, datant des années 1900, de l'hôtel de ville de Chișinău ainsi que le blason de la ville. Le timbre représente la façade du théâtre national de ballet et d'opéra, inauguré en 1980.

On October 13, 2011, the Post of Moldova issued a souvenir sheet (design: Alexandru Kornienko, print run: 75,000) consisting of five stamps and one label, dedicated to Chișinău's 575th anniversary.
One of these stamps (1.20 MDL) and the label from that souvenir sheet have been used on the left side of this card.
The label reproduces a photograph of the Chișinău City Hall dating from the 1900s, along with the city's coat of arms. The stamp depicts the façade of the National Opera and Ballet Theatre, which opened in 1980.

Construit dans un style gothique italien à l'origine pour abriter la Douma de la ville en 1901, le bâtiment (architectes : Mitrofan Elladi, Alexandru Bernardazzi) a été presque détruit pendant la Seconde Guerre mondiale. Il a été reconstruit dans la période d'après-guerre sur la base d'images et de plans de construction survivants.
A current view of the Chișinău City Hall appears on the other side of the card above. This view reveals how the building's architecture has changed compared to the photograph of the structure reproduced on the label.
Originally built in an Italian Gothic style to house the City Duma in 1901, the building (designed by architects Mitrofan Elladi and Alexandru Bernardazzi) was nearly destroyed during World War II. It was rebuilt in the postwar period based on surviving images and construction plans. 

Euromed Postal 2026 (Traditional Mosaics in the Mediterranean) stamps on FDC from Morocco

Timbres Euromed Postal 2026 (Mosaïques traditionnelles en Méditerranée) sur FDC du Maroc 

La poste marocaine Barid Al-Maghrib participe depuis 2014 à ces émissions de timbres Euromed Postal et a mis en circulation, le 13 juillet 2026, un nouveau timbre Euromed Postal incluant le logo Euromed Postal (un faucon stylisé), consacré au thème des mosaïques traditionnelles en Méditerranée cette année.
J'ai eu la chance de recevoir le joli FDC officiel numéroté ci-dessous concernant ce timbre (4,10 MAD), en 3 exemplaires, envoyé le 14 septembre 2026 depuis Meknès. Merci beaucoup Pierre !
Pour rappel, le 9 juillet 2007 a eu lieu la première convention internationale de la poste méditerranéenne signée à Marseille. Depuis cette date, l'Union Postale pour la Méditerranée (PUMed), une union restreinte de l'UPU, a été créée le 11 mars 2011 et comprend actuellement les opérateurs postaux de 23 pays du bassin méditerranéen (incluant aussi le Portugal et la Mauritanie).
Depuis 2014, certains de ces pays émettent chaque année des timbres "Euromed Postal" illustrant un thème commun.
Sauf erreur, 14 pays ont émis à ce jour des timbres "Euromed Postal" en 2026. 
The Moroccan Post Barid Al-Maghrib has been participating in these Euromed Postal stamp issues since 2014 and put into circulation, on July 13, 2026, a new Euromed Postal stamp including the Euromed Postal logo (a stylized falcon), dedicated to the theme of Traditional Mosaics in the Mediterranean this year. 
I was lucky enough to receive the nice official numbered FDC below concerning this stamp (4.10 MAD), in 3 copies, sent on September 14, 2026 from Meknes. Thank you very much Pierre!  
As a reminder, the first international Mediterranean postal convention was signed in Marseille on July 9, 2007. Subsequently, the Postal Union for the Mediterranean (PUMed)—a restricted union of the UPU—was established on March 11, 2011; it currently comprises postal operators from 23 countries in the Mediterranean basin (including Portugal and Mauritania).
Since 2014, some of these countries have annually issued "Euromed Postal" stamps featuring a common theme.
As far as I know, 14 countries have issued "Euromed Postal" stamps in 2026 to date. 

Ce timbre (tirage : 30000, conception : Said Azarkan), imprimé (au Maroc par Dar As-Sikkah) en feuillet de 10 timbres, illustre en particulier une magnifique fontaine traditionnelle de la médina de Tétouan, en zellige, un art de la mosaïque de terre cuite émaillée typique du Maroc.
L'artisanat du zellige de villes comme Tétouan et Fès fait partie intégrante du riche patrimoine architectural arabo-andalou. On retrouve fréquemment ces ornements géométriques complexes au cœur des médinas pour décorer les fontaines publiques, les patios des riads ainsi que les mosquées.
Si le zellige est né à Fès aux alentours du 10ème siècle, l'école de Tétouan émerge véritablement au 16ème siècle. La ville de Tétouan a été reconstruite et redynamisée à cette époque par des réfugiés andalous (musulmans et juifs) fuyant la Reconquista en Espagne. Ces derniers ont apporté avec eux des techniques architecturales et décoratives raffinées. En s'installant, ils ont fusionné l'héritage d'Al-Andalus avec le savoir-faire local marocain, donnant naissance à une identité visuelle propre à la région du Nord.
L'école de Tétouan a historiquement privilégié des compositions douces aux tons dominants de vert turquoise, bleu pâle, jaune, brun et blanc émaillé. 
Aujourd'hui, l'importance historique et culturelle de cet artisanat est pleinement reconnue. Le Maroc a d'ailleurs officiellement engagé des démarches pour inscrire l'art du zellige de Fès et de Tétouan sur la liste représentative du patrimoine culturel immatériel de l'UNESCO, garantissant ainsi la protection de ce savoir-faire ancestral transmis de maître (maâlem) à apprenti depuis des siècles.
This stamp (print run: 30,000; design: Said Azarkan)—printed in Morocco by Dar As-Sikkah in sheetlet of ten—features a magnificent traditional fountain from the Tetouan medina. It is adorned with *zellige*, a form of glazed terracotta mosaic art characteristic of Morocco.
The *zellige* craftsmanship found in cities like Tetouan and Fez is an integral part of the region's rich Arab-Andalusian architectural heritage. These intricate geometric patterns are frequently found in the heart of medinas, adorning public fountains, *riad* courtyards, and mosques.
While *zellige* originated in Fez around the 10th century, the Tetouan school truly emerged in the 16th century. During that period, the city of Tetouan was rebuilt and revitalized by Andalusian refugees—both Muslim and Jewish—fleeing the *Reconquista* in Spain. They brought with them refined architectural and decorative techniques. Upon settling, they blended the heritage of Al-Andalus with local Moroccan craftsmanship, giving rise to a visual identity unique to the northern region.
Historically, the Tetouan school has favored gentle compositions dominated by shades of turquoise green, pale blue, yellow, brown, and glazed white.
Today, the historical and cultural significance of this craft is fully recognized. Morocco has officially initiated steps to have the *zellige* art of Fez and Tetouan inscribed on UNESCO's Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, thereby ensuring the protection of this ancestral know-how passed down from master (*maâlem*) to apprentice for centuries.  

"Volcanoes of Jeju Island - Part II" stamps on FDCs from Republic of Korea

Timbres "Volcans de l'île de Jeju (2ème partie)" sur FDCs de Corée du Sud 

L'île de Jeju, formée par l'activité volcanique, abrite plus de 360 ​​petits cônes volcaniques disséminés sur les pentes du mont Hallasan. À Jeju, ces cônes volcaniques sont appelés "Oreum", un terme dérivé du dialecte insulaire signifiant "montagne". Les Oreum peuvent être classés en différents types selon leur forme : en fer à cheval, conique, circulaire et complexe. 
Située à 85 kilomètres au sud des côtes continentales de Corée du Sud, Jeju est à la fois la plus grande île et la plus petite province du pays. 
Le 27 février 2026, la poste coréenne a mis en circulation la 2ème partie d'une jolie série (2 timbres, tirage : 480000), conçue par Jung Eunyoung (à partir de photographies aériennes de Kim Changhwan), imprimée par Brebner Print (Nouvelle-Zélande) en feuille de 16 timbres (8 de chaque), illustrant deux de ces "Oreum" de Jeju.
Ces 2 timbres (tarif permanent pour un envoi domestique jusqu'à 25g, 500 won actuellement) ont été utilisés sur les 2 enveloppes illustrées ci-dessous, avec TAD Premier Jour (du 4 mars 2026) de Nambusan. Merci beaucoup Ji-Ho !
Jeju Island, formed by volcanic activity, is home to more than 360 small volcanic cones scattered across the slopes of Mount Hallasan. In Jeju, these volcanic cones are called "Oreum", a term derived from the island dialect meaning "mountain". Oreums can be classified into different types based on their shape: horseshoe, conical, circular, and complex.
Located 85 kilometers south of the South Korean mainland, Jeju is both the largest island and the smallest province in the country.
On February 27, 2026, the Korean Post released the second part of a lovely series (2 stamps, print run: 480,000)—designed by Jung Eunyoung (based on aerial photographs by Kim Changhwan) and printed by Brebner Print (New Zealand) in sheets of 16 stamps (8 of each)—depicting two of Jeju’s "Oreum" volcanic cones.
These two stamps (valid for the standard domestic rate for mail up to 25g, currently 500 won) have been used on the two illustrated envelopes below, with First Day postmarks (dated March 4, 2026) from Nambusan. Many thanks, Ji-Ho!  

Jimibong (timbre ci-dessus) est un oreum situé à Jongdal-ri (Gujwa-eup, Jeju-si), qui se distingue par son cratère en forme de fer à cheval.
Culminant à environ 166 mètres au-dessus du niveau de la mer, son sommet offre une vue panoramique sur le cône de tuf de Seongsan Ilchulbong, l'île d'Udo, le port de Jongdalhang et les eaux au large de Jongdal-ri.
Intégré au parcours n° 21 du sentier "Jeju Olle", il attire un flux constant de visiteurs. On trouve au sommet les vestiges d'un ancien poste de signalisation par feu (balise) ; le poste de Jimi aurait communiqué par signaux avec celui de Wangga, au nord-ouest, et celui de Seongsan, au sud-est.
Jimibong (stamp above) is an oreum located in Jongdal-ri, Gujwa-eup, Jeju-si, characterized by its horseshoe-shaped crater.
Standing at approximately 166 meters above sea level, the summit offers a panoramic view of Seongsan Ilchulbong Tuff Cone, Udo Island, Jongdalhang Port, and the waters off the coast of Jongdal-ri.
As part of Jeju Olle Trail Route 21, it draws a steady flow of visitors. Remains of a beacon mound can be found at the summit, and Jimi Beacon Mound is said to have exchanged signals with Wangga Beacon Mound to the northwest and Seongsan Beacon Mound to the southeast. 

Situé à Seongeup-ri (Pyoseon-myeon, Seogwipo-si), le cône volcanique Baekyaki (timbre ci-dessus) présente en son centre un cratère circulaire large et profond.
S'il est possible de se promener le long du bord du cratère, l'accès à certaines sections de la crête sommitale est restreint depuis août 2020. Bien qu'il atteigne une altitude relativement élevée de 357 mètres, ses pentes douces en font une destination prisée des familles.
Depuis l'Antiquité, la zone est réputée pour l'abondance de ses plantes médicinales, ce qui lui a valu le nom de "Baekyaki Oreum". Diverses plantes médicinales, telles que le *bokbunja* (framboisier noir de Corée), la calaminthe à petites fleurs et la menthe luisante, poussent aux abords de l'oreum, reflétant ainsi clairement l'origine de son nom et ses caractéristiques naturelles.
En parcourant la crête, on peut embrasser du regard le paysage singulier de Jeju : le cône de tuf de Seongsan Ilchulbong et l'île d'Udo à l'est, ainsi que le mont Hallasan et les groupes d'oreums à l'ouest.

While visitors can walk along the rim of the crater, access to certain sections of the summit ridge has been restricted since August 2020. Though its elevation is relatively high at 357 meters, its gentle slopes make it a popular destination for families.
Since ancient times, the area has been known for the abundant growth of medicinal herbs, which is why it is called Baekyaki Oreum. Various medicinal plants, such as bokbunja (Korean black raspberry), small-flower Asian calamint, and shiny mint, grow around the oreum, clearly reflecting the origin of its name and its natural characteristics.
Walking along the ridge, one can take in Jeju's distinctive landscape at a glance, with Seongsan Ilchulbong Tuff Cone and Udo Island to the east, and Mount Hallasan and clusters of oreum to the west.  

"Grand-Duke Guillaume" definitive set on FDC from Luxembourg

Après 25 ans de règne, le Grand-Duc Henri a abdiqué le 3 octobre 2025, transmettant le flambeau à son fils ainé, Guillaume (né en 1981), devenant le 10ème Grand-Duc de Luxembourg (depuis 1815), sous le nom de Guillaume V.
À l'aube de ses 44 ans, le Grand-Duc Guillaume a prêté serment devant la Chambre des députés, devenant ainsi le nouveau chef d'État du Luxembourg.

Conçus par l'agence Créa POST Luxembourg à partir d'une photographie de la Maison du Grand-Duc par Kary Barthelmey, ces 5 timbres concernent les principaux tarifs actuels : tarif domestique 50g (1,20€, tirage : 100000), tarif Europe 50g (1,70€, tirage : 100000), tarif Monde 50g (2,40€, tirage : 100000), tarif Accusé de Réception (2,10€, tirage : 50000) et tarif Recommandé (5,50€, tirage : 50000).
Ces timbres de différentes couleurs comportent la mention "Luxembourg" en plusieurs langues dans le fond.
Kary Barthelmey (née en 1990) est une photographe indépendante luxembourgeoise. Son style artistique se caractérise par une forte imbrication entre le portrait et l'univers de la mode, privilégiant des mises en scène romantiques et des jeux de lumière naturelle. Sa carrière a pris une dimension institutionnelle majeure lorsqu'elle a été choisie pour réaliser le portrait officiel du Grand-Duc Guillaume, publié à la fin du mois d'août 2025 en amont de son intronisation officielle le 3 octobre 2025.
On February 10, 2026, Luxembourg Post issued a new definitive stamp series dedicated to Grand Duke Guillaume.
Comprising five stamps, this set appears on the official First Day Cover above, featuring the Luxembourg "crown" postmark.
Designed by the agency Créa POST Luxembourg based on a photograph of the Grand Duke House taken by Kary Barthelmey, these five stamps cover the main current postal rates: domestic 50g (€1.20, print run: 100,000), Europe 50g (€1.70, print run: 100,000), Rest of World 50g (€2.40, print run: 100,000), Return Receipt (€2.10, print run: 50,000), and Registered Mail (€5.50, print run: 50,000).
These multicolored stamps feature the word "Luxembourg" in several languages ​​within the background design.
Kary Barthelmey (born in 1990) is an independent Luxembourgish photographer. Her artistic style is characterized by a strong interplay between portraiture and the world of fashion, favoring romantic settings and the use of natural light. Her career reached a major institutional milestone when she was selected to take the official portrait of Grand Duke Guillaume, released in late August 2025 ahead of his official enthronement on October 3, 2025.
