EUROPA 2026 (70th anniversary of the EUROPA stamps) stamp set on FDC from Portugal

Série EUROPA 2026 (70ème anniversaire des timbres EUROPA) sur FDC du Portugal 

L'année 2026 marque le 70ème anniversaire des timbres EUROPA, une initiative philatélique lancée pour renforcer les relations entre les pays européens et promouvoir une paix et une unité durables.
Émis pour la première fois en 1956 par six nations – la Belgique, la France, l'Allemagne, l'Italie, le Luxembourg et les Pays-Bas, membres fondateurs de l'Union européenne – ce programme s'est étendu progressivement à 53 organisations postales participantes.
L'an dernier, le groupe de travail Timbres et Philatélie de PostEurop a organisé un concours interne pour choisir un motif commun sur le thème "70ème anniversaire du timbre EUROPA : Unis par...".
Guidés par des valeurs partagées telles que la communication, l'innovation, la coopération et des racines communes, les membres ont soumis 15 propositions créatives, chacune présentant une vision unique. 
Suite au vote de 50 organisations postales, ce concours a été remporté par la poste finlandaise (Posti), devant la poste de Bosnie-Herzégovine (Sarajevo) et la poste luxembourgeoise.
C'est donc le projet de l'artiste et graphiste Klaus Welp qui figure sur les timbres EUROPA émis en 2026.

Guided by shared values ​​such as communication, innovation, cooperation, and common roots, the members submitted 15 creative proposals, each presenting a unique vision.
Following a vote by 50 postal organizations, the Finnish Post (Posti) won the competition, ahead of the Post of Bosnia & Herzegovina (Sarajevo) and the Post of Luxembourg.
The design by artist and graphic designer Klaus Welp will therefore be featured on the EUROPA stamps issued in 2026.

Comme les années précédentes, 3 timbres EUROPA (1,30€, tirage : 40000 chacun) ainsi que 3 blocs-feuillets (1 timbre chacun, 3,75€, tirage : 18000 chacun, conception : Unidesign / Hélder Soares) ont été mis en circulation le 9 mai 2026 (Journée de l'Europe) par la poste portugaise (CTT) dont deux incluant les mentions "Açores" et "Madeira", comme de coutume. 
Le timbre et le bloc-feuillet de la version du Portugal continental figurent sur l'enveloppe ci-dessus avec TAD Premier Jour de Lisbonne. Merci beaucoup Pedro ! 
Le dessin conçu par Klaus Welp est reproduit sur le timbre isolé ainsi que dans la partie supérieure du timbre du bloc-feuillet.
Il allie éléments abstraits et symboliques. La ligne pointillée ascendante en diagonale représente à la fois la perforation du timbre et le travail progressif de PostEurop. Les sept points, reliés par une ligne droite, symbolisent soixante-dix ans d'efforts concertés des opérateurs postaux à travers le continent.
Les dégradés et les motifs pointillés en arrière-plan forment une surface harmonieuse et dynamique, reflétant le joyeux mélange de couleurs du drapeau européen et symbolisant l'unité de tous les États membres.
La partie inférieure du bloc-feuillet a été conçue à partir d'un des 2 timbres EUROPA émis par le Portugal en 1977 (thème : paysages), une œuvre de José Pedro Martins Barata illustrant les plaines du sud du pays. Cette série fut lauréate du Prix international d'art philatélique ASIAGO (les "oscars" de la philatélie décernés chaque année depuis 1970 à Asiago en Italie) en 1978.
A noter que la poste du Portugal a émis ses premiers timbres EUROPA en 1960, reproduisant un dessin commun (par le finlandais Pentti Rahikainen) : une roue de char romain à 19 rayons normalement (22 rayons figurent par erreur sur les timbres portugais...), un pour chacun des membres de la CEPT (créée en 1959), incluse dans la lettre O du mot "EUROPA".
As in previous years, three EUROPA stamps (€1.30, print run: 40,000 each) and three souvenir sheets (one stamp each, €3.75, print run: 18,000 each, design: Unidesign / Hélder Soares) were released on May 9, 2026 (Europe Day) by the Portuguese Post (CTT), two of which including the mentions "Azores" and "Madeira," as usual.
The stamp and souvenir sheet of the mainland Portugal version have been used on the envelope above with First Day cancellations from Lisbon. Thank you very much Pedro! 
The design by Klaus Welp is reproduced on the individual stamp as well as in the upper part of the stamp in the souvenir sheet.
It combines abstract and symbolic elements. The diagonally ascending dotted line represents both the perforation of a stamp and the progressive work of the PostEurop. The seven dots, connected by a straight line, symbolize seventy years of unified effort by postal operators across the continent.
The blending gradients and dotted patterns in the background form a cohesive and vibrant surface, reflecting the joyful mix of colours from the European flag and symbolizing the unity of all member nations. 
The lower part of the souvenir sheet was designed based on one of the two EUROPA stamps issued by Portugal in 1977 (theme: landscapes), a work by José Pedro Martins Barata depicting the country's southern plains. This series won the ASIAGO International Philatelic Art Prize (the "Oscars" of philately, awarded annually since 1970 in Asiago, Italy) in 1978.
It should be noted that the Portuguese Post issued its first EUROPA stamps in 1960, reproducing a common design (by the Finn Pentti Rahikainen): a Roman coach wheel with 19 spokes (22 spokes are mistakenly featured on the Portuguese stamps...), one for each member of the CEPT (created in 1959), included in the letter O of the word "EUROPA".

Carte pré-timbrée "Lac mince de l'Ouest" envoyée depuis Yangzhou (Chine) 

Le Grand Canal (site inscrit par l'UNESCO au Patrimoine mondial en 2014), vaste système de navigation intérieure au sein des plaines de la Chine du Nord-Est et du Centre-Est, s'étend de la capitale Beijing, au nord, à la province du Zhejiang, au sud, sur environ 1800 km.
Entrepris par secteurs dès le 5ème siècle avant J.-C., il fut conçu en tant que moyen de communication unifié de l'Empire à partir du 7ème siècle (dynastie Sui). Cela se traduisit par une série de chantiers gigantesques, formant l'ensemble de génie civil le plus important et le plus étendu de tous les temps préindustriels.
Axe vital des voies de communication intérieures de l'Empire, il assura notamment l'approvisionnement en riz des populations et les transports de matières premières stratégiques.
Au 13ème siècle, il offrait un réseau unifié de navigation intérieure de plus de 2000 km de voies d'eau artificielles reliant cinq des plus importants bassins fluviaux de l'espace chinois. Il a joué un rôle notable pour la prospérité économique et la stabilité de la Chine et reste encore aujourd'hui une importante voie d'échange intérieure.
The Grand Canal (site inscribed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site in 2014), vast waterway system in the north-eastern and central-eastern plains of China, is running from Beijing in the north to Zhejiang province in the south, over a length of approximately 1800 km.
Constructed in sections from the 5th century BC onwards, it was conceived as a unified means of communication for the Empire for the first time in the 7th century AD (Sui dynasty). This led to a series of gigantic construction sites, creating the world's largest and most extensive civil engineering project prior to the Industrial Revolution.
It formed the backbone of the Empire's inland communication system, transporting grain and strategic raw materials, and supplying rice to feed the population.
By the 13th century it consisted of more than 2,000 km of artificial waterways, linking five of China's main river basins. It has played an important role in ensuring the country's economic prosperity and stability and is still in use today as a major means of communication.

Le Lac mince de l'Ouest, le parc le plus connu de Yangzhou (ville du centre de la province du Jiangsu), se trouve dans la banlieue ouest de la ville et est un tronçon de rivière lié au Grand Canal creusé à l'époque Sui (581-618). Plusieurs siècles avant, c'était déjà là un lieu d'agrément.
Le Lac mince de l'Ouest, qui s'étire en méandres sur cinq kilomètres, s'apparente à une longue suite de sites prestigieux : la longue digue, le jardin Xu, le Monticule d'Or, la Terrasse des Flûtistes, le pavillon de la Lune, le Pont aux Cinq Kiosques et la Pagode Blanche.
Un grand merci Wenbo pour l'envoi de cette carte pré-timbrée (2017 - 0,80 yuan) le 25 février 2026 depuis la ville de Yangzhou, consacrée à ce Lac mince de l'Ouest. 
Wenbo a utilisé 2 autres timbres faisant respectivement partie de 2 séries "Timbres spéciaux pour cartes de vœux" émises le 8 août 2013 (célébration, 1,20 yuan, conception : Yue Xin) et le 19 mai 2015 (routards, 3 yuan, conception : Song Jian, Liu Jing).
Slender West Lake, the most famous park in Yangzhou (a city in central Jiangsu Province), is located in the western suburbs of the city and is a stretch of river connected to the Grand Canal, which was dug during the Sui Dynasty (581-618). Centuries before that, it was already a place of leisure.
Slender West Lake, which meanders for five kilometers, resembles a long series of prestigious sites: the Long Dam, Xu Garden, the Golden Mound, the Terrace of the Flutes, the Moon Pavilion, the Lotus Bridge, and the White Pagoda.
Many thanks to Wenbo for sending this prepaid postcard (2017 - 0.80 yuan) on February 25, 2026, from Yangzhou, dedicated to this Slender West Lake.
Wenbo used two other stamps, from series entitled  "Special-use stamps for greeting cards", issued respectively on August 8, 2013 (Brilliant, 1.20 yuan, design: Yue Xin) and May 19, 2015 (Backpackers, 3 yuan, design: Song Jian, Liu Jing).

Ci-dessus l'autre côté de cette carte postale avec une vue de ce Lac mince de l'ouest, avec en particulier, dans le fond à droite, le pont Wuting, également appelé Pont du Lotus, l'un des édifices emblématiques de la ville de Yangzhou.
Il figure parmi les Dix Grands Ponts Anciens de Chine et est surnommé le "Plus Beau Pont de Chine". Sa construction a débuté sous l'ère Qianlong de la dynastie Qing (1757), s'inspirant des Cinq Pavillons du Dragon du Beihai à Beijing.
Au fond à gauche, on voit également le temple Lianxing (ou pagode blanche), temple bouddhiste blanc de style tibétain. Fondé au 13ème ou 14ème siècle sous la dynastie Yuan, il fut rebaptisé temple Lianxing au 17ème ou 18ème siècle sous l'empereur Kangxi de la dynastie Qing. 
Ce lac a été popularisé par le poème "Sur le ruisseau Baozhang", écrit en 1736 par Wang Hang (1704-1784), originaire de Hangzhou, lors d'une visite à Yangzhou.
Above is the other side of this postcard, showing a view of this Slender West Lake. In the background on the right is the Wuting Bridge, also known as the Lotus Bridge, one of Yangzhou's iconic landmarks.
It is one of China's Ten Great Ancient Bridges and is nicknamed "China's Most Beautiful Bridge." Its construction began during the Qianlong era of the Qing Dynasty (1757), inspired by the Five Dragon Pavilions of Beihai in Beijing.
In the background on the left is the Lianxing Temple (or White Pagoda), a white Buddhist temple in the Tibetan style. Founded in the 13th or 14th century during the Yuan Dynasty, it was renamed Lianxing Temple in the 17th or 18th century under the Kangxi Emperor of the Qing Dynasty.
This lake was popularized in the poem "On Baozhang Creek", written in 1736 by the Hangzhou native Wang Hang (1704-1784) during a visit to Yangzhou.  

"Thracian Gold" definitive stamp set on FDC from Bulgaria

Pour rappel, le 1er janvier 2026, la Bulgarie est devenue le 21ème pays de l'Union européenne à adopter l'euro. À la suite de l'introduction des billets et des pièces en euro, une période transitoire du 1er janvier 2026 au 31 janvier 2026 a été instaurée en Bulgarie, durant laquelle le lev bulgare et l'euro ont circulé simultanément.
Cette phase de double circulation a pris fin le 1er février 2026, date à laquelle l'euro est devenu la seule monnaie ayant cours légal dans le pays.
Le 24 mars 2026, la poste bulgare a mis en circulation sa première série courante (4 timbres) libellée en euro, consacrée en particulier à différents objets archéologiques en or datant de la période thrace.
Les Thraces sont un peuple vivant durant l'Antiquité dans les Balkans, principalement dans les actuelles, Roumanie, Bulgarie, Grèce du Nord et Turquie européenne. Leur culture s'est épanouie entre le milieu du IIe millénaire avant J.-C. et le Ier siècle avant J.-C.
Les connaissances dont nous disposons à leur sujet proviennent des auteurs grecs et romains ainsi que de découvertes archéologiques récentes, notamment des tombeaux et des trésors.
Les 4 objets en or à l'honneur sur cette série font partie des collections de l'Institut archéologique national et musée de l'Académie bulgare des sciences (NAIM-BAS) à Sofia.  
As a reminder, on January 1, 2026, Bulgaria became the 21st country in the European Union to adopt the euro. Following the introduction of euro banknotes and coins, a transitional period was established in Bulgaria from January 1 to January 31, 2026, during which the Bulgarian lev and the euro circulated simultaneously.
This dual circulation phase ended on February 1, 2026, when the euro became the sole legal tender in the country.
On March 24, 2026, the Bulgarian Post put into circulation its first definitive series (four stamps) denominated in euros, featuring various gold archaeological artifacts dating from the Thracian period.
Thracians were an ancient people who lived in the Balkans, primarily in what are now Romania, Bulgaria, Northern Greece, and European Turkey. Their culture flourished between the mid-2nd millennium BC and the 1st century BC.
Our knowledge of them comes from Greek and Roman authors, as well as from recent archaeological discoveries, particularly tombs and hoards.
The four gold objects featured in this series are part of the collections of the National Archaeological Institute and Museum of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (NAIM-BAS) in Sofia.  

Ces 4 timbres (conception : Tahsin Ahmed, tirage : 56000 chacun) ont été utilisés sur la lettre ci-dessus envoyée en recommandé, avec TAD Premier Jour ("L'or thrace" - "Тракийско злато") de Sofia. Merci beaucoup Borislav!
Le premier timbre (0,35€) représente un masque funéraire découvert dans le tumulus de Svetitsa, un important site funéraire thrace situé près du village de Kran, dans la vallée de Kazanlak, en Bulgarie centrale. Datant de la fin du Ve siècle avant notre ère, il a été fouillé en 2004. Le site a révélé une tombe voûtée en pierre contenant la dépouille d'un aristocrate thrace de haut rang, peut-être Thérès Ier, fondateur du puissant royaume odrysien.
Le timbre suivant (0,85€) montre une bague avec une inscription provenant d'un tumulus près du village d'Ezerovo. Découverte en 1912, cette bague comporte une inscription en grec : "Rolisten, moi, ta femme, je vole de joie vers toi et tu t'allonges près de moi en ce jour ensoleillé".
Le timbre suivant (1,15€) est consacré à une tête de cheval (un ornement provenant d'une extrémité d'un mors de cheval en fer aujourd'hui disparu) faisant partie du trésor (objets en or daté de la fin du IVe ou du début du IIIe siècle avant J.-C) découvert en 2012 dans le tombeau thrace de Svechtari (nord-est de la Bulgarie).
Le dernier timbre (1,35€) montre un collier pectoral découvert dans le tombeau de "Mal Tepe", près du village de Mezek (sud de la Bulgarie). Il est en fer recouvert d'une fine feuille d'argent dorée et date de 350 à 300 avant J.-C.

The first stamp (€0.35) depicts a funerary mask discovered in the Svetitsa burial mound, an important Thracian burial site located near the village of Kran in the Kazanlak Valley, central Bulgaria. Dating from the late 5th century BC, it was excavated in 2004. The site revealed a vaulted stone tomb containing the remains of a high-ranking Thracian aristocrat, possibly Theresius I, founder of the powerful Odrysian Kingdom.
The next stamp (€0.85) depicts a ring with an inscription from a burial mound near the village of Ezerovo. Discovered in 1912, this ring bears an inscription in Greek: "Rolisten, I your wife am flying from joy towards you and you lay down next to me in that sunny day".
The following stamp (€1.15) features a horse's head (an ornament from the end of a now-lost iron horse bit) that was part of the hoard (gold objects dating from the late 4th or early 3rd century BC) discovered in 2012 in the Thracian tomb of Sveshtari (northeast Bulgaria).
The last stamp (€1.35) shows a pectoral necklace discovered in the tomb of Mal Tepe, near the village of Mezek (southern Bulgaria). It is made of iron covered with a thin sheet of gilded silver and dates from 350 to 300 BC.

Le 11 mai 2026 (vente générale), la poste française a mis en circulation un timbre EUROPA unique (2,25€, tirage : 720000) reproduisant le dessin conçu par Klaus Welp.
Ce timbre, imprimé en feuillet de 12 timbres avec marges illustrées, a été utilisé sur la lettre ci-dessus, avec TAD Premier Jour (conception : Valérie Besser) de Strasbourg (67) du 9 mai 2026 (Journée de l'Europe). Merci beaucoup Olivier!

It should be noted that the French Post seems to be the only European postal administration to have altered Klaus Welp's design, adding this ugly inscription "70th anniversary of the EUROPA stamp" on a blue background, thus distorting the work in my opinion...  

"A World of Letters" definitive stamps on cover from Germany

Timbres de la série courante "Un monde de lettres" sur lettre d'Allemagne 

Le 2 décembre 2021, la Deutsche Post avait mis en circulation les 4 premiers timbres d'une nouvelle série courante intitulée "Welt der Briefe" ("Un monde de lettres").
Il s'agissait de la première série courante allemande intégrant des QR-codes (ou codes matriciels).
Pour rappel, avec ces timbres, les clients peuvent savoir quand une lettre est arrivée dans le centre de traitement local et quand elle a atteint sa région de destination, rendant ce service postal universel encore plus fiable.
Pour les philatélistes et les clients intéressés, il y a un avantage supplémentaire: des informations de base détaillées sur les frais de port en particulier peuvent être consultées en utilisant l'application "Post & DHL" de la Deutsche Post via le code matriciel. 
Conçus par Bettina Walter, ces timbres associent le thème de l'écriture et de la transmission des messages à une imagerie positive, en utilisant un style imaginatif et surréaliste.
On December 2, 2021, the Deutsche Post had put into circulation the first 4 stamps of a new definitive series entitled "Welt der Briefe" ("A World of Letters").
This was the first German definitive series incorporating QR-codes (or matrix codes).
As a reminder, with these stamps, customers are able to track when a letter has arrived at the local mail processing center and when it has reached its destination region, making this universal postal service even more reliable.
For philatelists and interested customers, there is an additional benefit: detailed basic information on shipping costs in particular can be viewed using the "Post & DHL" application of the Deutsche Post via the matrix code.
Designed by Bettina Walter, these stamps combine the theme of writing and the transmission of messages with positive imagery, using an imaginative and surreal style.  

D'autres timbres de cette série courante ont été émis en 2022, 2023, 2024 et 2025, soit un total (sauf erreur) de 31 timbres, avec des valeurs faciales entre 0,05€ et 3,70€.
12 de ces timbres, émis en 2022, 2023, 2024 et 2025, ont été utilisés sur cette impressionnante lettre ci-dessus envoyée le 8 mai 2025 depuis Berlin. Merci beaucoup Jens ! 
A noter que les timbres de cette série courante peuvent être assemblés comme un puzzle pour former une grande image. 
Les différents timbres ci-dessus : nénuphar dont les pétales sont constitués d'enveloppes (0,05€), hippocampe devant une bouteille à message (0,10€), paon dont la roue est constituée de lettres (0,15€), poisson avec des nageoires en forme de timbres (0,20€), montagnes russes dont les chariots sont faits de lettres et les passagers de crayons (0,30€), timbres utilisés comme des parapentes (0,61€), montgolfière avec une enveloppe comme nacelle (0,95€), avion avec une banderole constituée d'enveloppes (1,10€), château avec des tours en forme de stylos (1,25€), fusée en forme de crayon (1,80€), phare en forme de stylo (2,75€) et planche à voile avec enveloppe comme voile (2,90€). 
Other stamps of this definitive series have been issued in 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025, for a total (unless I'm mistaken) of 31 stamps, with nominal values ​​ranging from €0.05 to €3.70.

L'année 2026 marque le 70ème anniversaire des timbres EUROPA, une initiative philatélique lancée pour renforcer les relations entre les pays européens et promouvoir une paix et une unité durables.
Émis pour la première fois en 1956 par six nations – la Belgique, la France, l'Allemagne, l'Italie, le Luxembourg et les Pays-Bas, membres fondateurs de l'Union européenne – ce programme s'est étendu progressivement à 53 organisations postales participantes.
L'an dernier, le groupe de travail Timbres et Philatélie de PostEurop a organisé un concours interne pour choisir un motif commun sur le thème "70ème anniversaire du timbre EUROPA : Unis par...".
Guidés par des valeurs partagées telles que la communication, l'innovation, la coopération et des racines communes, les membres ont soumis 15 propositions créatives, chacune présentant une vision unique. 
Suite au vote de 50 organisations postales, ce concours a été remporté par la poste finlandaise (Posti), devant la poste de Bosnie-Herzégovine (Sarajevo) et la poste luxembourgeoise.
C'est donc le projet de l'artiste et graphiste Klaus Welp qui figure sur les timbres EUROPA émis en 2026. 
The year 2026 marks the 70th anniversary of the EUROPA stamps, a philatelic initiative launched to strengthen relations between European countries and promote lasting peace and unity.
First issued in 1956 by six nations – Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, and the Netherlands, founding members of the European Union – this program has gradually expanded to include 53 participating postal organizations.
Last year, PostEurop's Stamps and Philately Working Group organized an internal competition to choose a common design on the theme "70th Anniversary of the EUROPA Stamp: United by...".
Guided by shared values ​​such as communication, innovation, cooperation, and common roots, the members submitted 15 creative proposals, each presenting a unique vision.
Following a vote by 50 postal organizations, the Finnish Post (Posti) won the competition, ahead of the Post of Bosnia & Herzegovina (Sarajevo) and the Post of Luxembourg.
The design by artist and graphic designer Klaus Welp will therefore be featured on the EUROPA stamps issued in 2026.

Le 9 avril 2026, la poste roumaine a mis en circulation une série (2 timbres, tirage total : 17800) consacrée à ce thème du 70ème anniversaire des timbres EUROPA, dont un incluant le logo EUROPA, celui reproduisant le projet de Klaus Welp (16 RON).
Ces 2 timbres, imprimés chacun en feuille de 28 timbres et en feuillet de 5 timbres + 1 vignette (colombe de la paix), ont été utilisés sur la lettre ci-dessus envoyée le 7 mai 2026 depuis la ville de Voluntari (nord-est de Bucarest). Merci beaucoup Mihnea !
Le timbre EUROPA à droite allie éléments abstraits et symboliques. La ligne pointillée ascendante en diagonale représente à la fois la perforation du timbre et le travail progressif de PostEurop. Les sept points, reliés par une ligne droite, symbolisent soixante-dix ans d'efforts concertés des opérateurs postaux à travers le continent.
Les dégradés et les motifs pointillés en arrière-plan forment une surface harmonieuse et dynamique, reflétant le joyeux mélange de couleurs du drapeau européen et symbolisant l'unité de tous les États membres. 
L'autre timbre (9 RON, conception : Mihai Criste) illustre le lien entre la Roumanie et l'Europe, reflétant ainsi l'unité, la paix et la coopération entre les États membres. Afin de préserver une cohérence stylistique, ce timbre reprend le style graphique du timbre EUROPA à droite, symbolisant ainsi le jumelage, l'intégration et l'amitié entre les pays.
A noter que la poste roumaine a émis ses premiers timbres EUROPA en 1991, illustrant alors le thème de l'Europe et l'espace.  
On April 9, 2026, the Romanian Post issued a series (2 stamps, total print run: 17,800) dedicated to this 70th anniversary of the EUROPA stamps, one of which includes the EUROPA logo, reproducing Klaus Welp's design (16 RON).

The EUROPA stamp on the right combines abstract and symbolic elements. The diagonally ascending dotted line represents both the perforation of a stamp and the progressive work of the PostEurop. The seven dots, connected by a straight line, symbolize seventy years of unified effort by postal operators across the continent.
The blending gradients and dotted patterns in the background form a cohesive and vibrant surface, reflecting the joyful mix of colours from the European flag and symbolizing the unity of all member nations.
The other stamp (9 RON, design: Mihai Criste) illustrates the connection between Romania and Europe, reflecting unity, peace, and cooperation among member states. To maintain stylistic unity, this stamp adopts the graphic style of the EUROPA stamp on the right, thus symbolizing twinning, integration and friendship between countries.
It should be noted that the Romanian Post issued its first EUROPA stamps in 1991, illustrating the theme of European aerospace.

Le 21 octobre 2025, la poste péruvienne a mis en circulation une série (3 timbres se-tenant) consacrée à différents anniversaires de l'établissement de relations diplomatiques avec certains pays africains : Angola (40ème anniversaire), Sénégal et Tanzanie (50ème anniversaire).
Ces 3 timbres (4 PEN, tirage : 5000, conception : Marco Antonio Quispe Yalli), avec marge supérieure, ont été utilisés sur la lettre ci-dessous envoyée le 25 avril 2026 depuis la ville de Chimbote. Merci beaucoup César !
Cette émission célèbre non seulement des années de dialogue et de coopération, mais symbolise également la reconnaissance mutuelle du patrimoine culturel, historique et naturel partagé par le Pérou et ses partenaires africains, soulignant la fraternité, la diversité et l'engagement à préserver les trésors naturels qui unissent ces peuples.

Le timbre à gauche évoque les relations avec le Sénégal. Au cours de ces cinquante années, les deux pays ont collaboré au sein des instances internationales et promu des initiatives en faveur de l'environnement.
Deux sites naturels classés au patrimoine mondial de l'UNESCO ont été choisis : le parc national de Manú au Pérou et le parc national de Niokolo-Koba au Sénégal. Le premier, l'un des territoires les plus riches en biodiversité de la planète, et le second, sanctuaire essentiel pour les espèces menacées d'Afrique de l'Ouest, témoignent de l'engagement commun à protéger les richesses naturelles.
Le timbre au centre illustre les relations avec l'Angola, en particulier deux espèces emblématiques de chaque pays : le taruca (Hippocamelus antisensis), cerf andin du Pérou, et l'hippotrague noir géant (Hippotragus niger variani), symbole menacé de la faune angolaise.
Ces 2 espèces représentent la majesté de la biodiversité et l'engagement commun à protéger les espèces vulnérables.
Le dernier timbre à droite est consacré aux relations avec la Tanzanie, nourries par l'extraordinaire biodiversité partagée par les deux pays. De l'Amazonie péruvienne aux plaines africaines, le Pérou et la Tanzanie ont le privilège commun de préserver des écosystèmes uniques.
Ce timbre illustre deux des montagnes les plus emblématiques du monde : le volcan Misti (5825 m. d'altitude), symbole des Andes péruviennes, et le Kilimandjaro (5892 m. d'altitude), plus haut sommet d'Afrique. Toutes deux évoquent la majesté des paysages et le respect de la préservation des merveilles naturelles qui définissent l'identité de chaque nation.
The stamp on the left evokes relations with Senegal. Over the past fifty years, the two countries have collaborated within international bodies and promoted environmental initiatives.
Two natural sites listed as UNESCO World Heritage Sites were chosen: Manú National Park in Peru and Niokolo-Koba National Park in Senegal. The former, one of the most biodiverse territories on the planet, and the latter, a vital sanctuary for endangered species in West Africa, bear witness to the shared commitment to protecting natural resources.
The stamp in the center illustrates relations with Angola, in particular two emblematic species of each country: the taruca (Hippocamelus antisensis), the Andean deer of Peru, and the giant sable antelope (Hippotragus niger variani), an endangered symbol of Angolan wildlife.
These two species represent the majesty of biodiversity and the shared commitment to protecting vulnerable species.
The last stamp on the right is dedicated to relations with Tanzania, fostered by the extraordinary biodiversity shared by both countries. From the Peruvian Amazon to the African plains, Peru and Tanzania have the shared privilege of preserving unique ecosystems.
This stamp illustrates two of the world's most iconic mountains: the Misti volcano (5,825 m), a symbol of the Peruvian Andes, and Kilimanjaro (5,892 m), the highest peak in Africa. Both evoke the majesty of the landscapes and the respect for preserving the natural wonders that define the identity of each nation.  

"Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic Games" stamps on cover from Armenia

Le 18 avril 2026, 2 mois après la fin des jeux (!), la poste arménienne a mis en circulation un timbre consacré aux 25èmes jeux olympiques d'hiver, organisés du 6 au 22 février 2026 à Milan et Cortina d'Ampezzo en Italie.
Ce timbre (380 AMD, tirage : 10000) conçu par Vahagn Mkrtchyan et imprimé en feuillet de 10 timbres (en Belgique par bpost Philately & Stamps Printing), a été utilisé en 2 exemplaires sur la lettre ci-dessous envoyée en recommandé le 20 avril 2026 depuis Erevan. Merci beaucoup Sedrak ! 
Ce timbre est plutôt réussi, représentant les anneaux olympiques et des montagnes enneigées se reflétant dans des lunettes de ski, sans toutefois mentionner "Milano Cortina 2026" (mention présente dans les marges du feuillet). 
On April 18, 2026, two months after the Games ended (!), the Armenian Post put into circulation a stamp commemorating the 25th Winter Olympic Games, held from February 6 to 22, 2026, in Milan and Cortina d'Ampezzo, Italy.
This stamp (380 AMD, print run: 10,000), designed by Vahagn Mkrtchyan and printed in a sheetlet of 10 (in Belgium by bpost Philately & Stamps Printing), was used twice on the cover below, sent by registered mail on April 20, 2026, from Yerevan. Many thanks, Sedrak!
This stamp is quite well done, depicting the Olympic rings and snow-covered mountains reflected in ski goggles, but without mentioning "Milano Cortina 2026" (a mention present in the margins of the sheetlet).

América-UPAEP 2025 (Health) stamps on FDC from Uruguay

Timbres América-UPAEP 2025 (Santé) sur FDC d'Uruguay 

Après l'environnement en 2024 et avant les lacs et lagunes en 2026, le thème choisi en 2025 pour les émissions de timbres América-UPAEP était consacré à la santé ("Salud" en espagnol).
Pour rappel, l'UPAEP (Union Postale des Amériques, de l'Espagne et du Portugal) est une union restreinte de l'UPU, créée en 1911, regroupant une trentaine de pays et territoires.
L'UPAEP, basée à Montevideo (Uruguay), vise à développer et moderniser les services postaux, en facilitant l'échange d'expériences et la mise en œuvre de projets de coopération entre les pays membres.
A l'image des timbres EUROPA, des timbres UPAEP sont émis chaque année depuis 1989, par une quinzaine de pays environ, sur un thème commun.
La poste uruguayenne a émis des timbres UPAEP chaque année depuis 1989 et a mis en circulation, le 29 décembre 2025, un timbre (37 UYU, conception : Álvaro Rodríguez, tirage : 5000) imprimé en feuille de 25 timbres.
After environment in 2024 and before lakes and lagoons in 2026, the theme chosen in 2025 for the América-UPAEP stamp issues was dedicated to health ("Salud" in Spanish). 
As a reminder, UPAEP (Postal Union of the Americas, Spain and Portugal) is a restricted union of the UPU, established in 1911, bringing together about thirty countries and territories.
UPAEP, headquartered in Montevideo, Uruguay, aims to develop and modernize postal services, facilitating the exchange of experiences and the implementation of cooperation projects between member countries. 
Like EUROPA stamps, UPAEP stamps are issued each year since 1989 by around fifteen countries, on a common theme.
The Uruguayan Post has issued UPAEP stamps every year since 1989 and put into circulation, on December 29, 2025, a stamp (37 UYU, design: Álvaro Rodríguez, print run: 5,000) printed in a sheet of 25 stamps.

Le thème de ce timbre est plus précisément consacré à la stratégie nationale pour la santé mentale et le bien-être 2025-2030, largement soutenue en particulier par la poste uruguayenne, en collaboration avec la Banque de sécurité sociale (BPS).
Ce timbre reproduit une œuvre intitulée "La dame bleue" produite par un membre du projet "Taller Sala 12" de l'hôpital Vilardebó, un établissement psychiatrique de Montevideo.
Créé en 2008 par l'infirmière Selva Tabeira, ce projet est un espace de réadaptation psychosociale pour les patients hospitalisés, les patients externes et le personnel. L'atelier est spécialisé dans la restauration de meubles, la réparation d'appareils orthopédiques et d'aides techniques, la création artistique et d'autres activités manuelles à partir de matériaux recyclés.
Ce projet permet aussi de démontrer que les personnes handicapées ou souffrant de troubles psychiatriques peuvent travailler, utiliser des outils et se réinsérer. Il met en lumière la valeur de l'art comme outil d'expression, d'intégration et de construction de la citoyenneté.

The theme of this stamp is specifically dedicated to the National Strategy for Mental Health and Well-being 2025-2030, which is widely supported, particularly by the Uruguayan Post, in collaboration with the Social Security Bank (BPS).
This stamp reproduces a work entitled "The Blue Lady", produced by a member of the "Taller Sala 12" project at Vilardebó Hospital, a psychiatric facility in Montevideo.
Created in 2008 by nurse Selva Tabeira, this project is a space for psychosocial rehabilitation for inpatients, outpatients, and staff. The workshop specializes in furniture restoration, the repair of orthopedic devices and assistive devices, artistic creation, and other craft activities using recycled materials.
This project also demonstrates that people with disabilities or mental health conditions can work, use tools, and reintegrate into society. It highlights the value of art as a tool for expression, integration, and building citizenship.
