En 2024, l'Union Postale Universelle (UPU) célébrait son 150ème anniversaire. Le 9 octobre 1874, 22 pays se sont réunis pour signer le Traité de Berne, créant ainsi l'Union générale des postes, qui deviendra ensuite l'Union Postale Universelle (à partir de 1878).
150 ans plus tard, l'UPU unit à présent les réseaux postaux de 192 pays membres. Elle a ainsi concrétisé la vision de ses fondateurs, qui consistait à établir un territoire postal unique pour servir toutes les populations, où qu'elles se trouvent.
Avec le thème de ce 150ème anniversaire, "150 ans d'engagement pour la communication et le développement des peuples à travers le monde", l'UPU célèbre cette réalisation et renforce son engagement à servir les populations pour les années et siècles à venir.
Tout au long de cette année 2024, l'UPU a organisé une série d'événements et des campagnes visant à rendre hommage à la richesse de son passé, à la pertinence de son présent et aux promesses de son avenir, en utilisant en particulier le hashtag #UPU150 sur les réseaux sociaux.
In 2024, the Universal Postal Union (UPU) celebrated its 150th anniversary. On October 9, 1874, 22 countries gathered to sign the Treaty of Bern, creating the General Postal Union, which would later become known as the Universal Postal Union (from 1878).
150 years later, the UPU now unites the postal networks of 192 member countries, having realized its founders' vision of establishing a single postal territory to serve people everywhere.
The UPU's theme for its 150th year, "150 years of enabling communication and empowering peoples across nations", recognizes this accomplishment, and reinforces its commitment to serve peoples for the decades and centuries to come.
Throughout 2024, the UPU organized a series of events and campaigns in celebration of its rich past, dedicated present and promising future, in particular using the hashtag #UPU150 on social media.

L'UPU, institution spécialisée de l'ONU (depuis 1947) dont le siège se trouve à Berne (Suisse), est la seconde plus ancienne organisation internationale après l'Union Internationale des Télécommunications, et constitue le principal forum de coopération entre les acteurs mondiaux du secteur postal.
Le 4 octobre 2024, la poste lituanienne a mis en circulation un timbre consacré au 150ème anniversaire de l'UPU ("Pasaulinei pašto sąjungai - 150 metų").
Ce timbre (1,70€, tirage : 15000) figure sur le FDC officiel ci-dessus, avec TAD de Vilnius.
Le logo officiel conçu par l'UPU (Sonja Denovski) pour ce 150ème anniversaire est simplement reproduit sur ce timbre.
La Lituanie est membre de l'UPU depuis le 10 janvier 1992.
The UPU, a specialized agency of the United Nations (since 1947) headquartered in Bern, Switzerland, is the second oldest international organization after the International Telecommunications Union, and constitutes the main forum for cooperation between global postal sector players. 
On October 4, 2024, the Lithuanian Post issued a stamp commemorating the 150th anniversary of the UPU ("Pasaulinei pašto sąjungai - 150 metų").
This stamp (€1.70, print run: 15,000) appears on the official First Day Cover above, with cancellation from Vilnius.
The official logo designed by the UPU (Sonja Denovski) for this 150th anniversary is simply reproduced on the stamp.
Lithuania has been a member of the UPU since January 10, 1992.  

"100 Years of the FIP - Fédération Internationale de Philatélie" stamps on FDC from Greece

Timbres "100 ans de la FIP - Fédération Internationale de Philatélie" sur FDC de Grèce 

La Fédération Internationale de Philatélie (FIP) a été créée le 18 juin 1926 à Paris par les représentants de 6 pays : Allemagne, Autriche, Belgique, France, Pays-Bas et Suisse.
Dès le début, la FIP a œuvré pour promouvoir la collection de timbres et la philatélie, favoriser l'amitié entre les peuples, entretenir des liens avec le secteur philatélique et les administrations postales, et soutenir les expositions philatéliques par son patronage et sa reconnaissance.
Aujourd’hui, la FIP regroupe 90 fédérations nationales avec lesquelles elle organise des conférences, des séminaires pour les futurs jurés lors de ses expositions et structure l'évolution de la façon de collectionner et d'exposer en introduisant de nouvelles classes de compétition.
Enfin, elle parraine et co-organise avec les fédérations nationales les expositions mondiales (générales et spécialisées) qui sont de véritable "jeux olympiques" de la philatélie.  
The Fédération Internationale de Philatélie (FIP - International Federation of Philately) was founded on June 18, 1926, in Paris by representatives from six countries: Germany, Austria, Belgium, France, the Netherlands, and Switzerland. 
From the outset, the FIP has worked to promote stamp collecting and philately, foster friendship among nations, maintain ties with the philatelic sector and postal administrations, and support philatelic exhibitions through its patronage and recognition.
Today, the FIP brings together 90 national federations; with them, it organizes conferences and seminars for aspiring jurors during its exhibitions and shapes the evolution of collecting and exhibiting practices by introducing new competitive classes.
Finally, it sponsors and co-organizes—alongside national federations—world exhibitions (both general and specialized) that serve as the true "Olympic Games" of philately. 

La FIP célèbre donc le 100ème anniversaire de sa création en 2026 et un certain nombre d'administrations postales ont émis ou vont émettre des timbres sur ce thème, la plupart en reproduisant le logo officiel de ces 100 ans : Belarus, Monaco, République dominicaine, Serbie, Thaïlande, Bulgarie, Russie, Slovénie, Roumanie, Brésil, Uruguay, Israël, Chypre, Jordanie, Pakistan, Espagne, Bosnie-Herzégovine (Sarajevo), Émirats Arabes Unis, Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon, Grèce...
Le 22 avril 2026, la poste grecque a mis en circulation une série (3 timbres) illustrant différents évènements et anniversaires, dont un (2€, tirage : 35000) consacré au 100ème anniversaire de la FIP.
Ce timbre (conception : Theano Venieri) a été utilisé en 2 exemplaires sur la lettre ci-dessus avec TAD Premier Jour, envoyée le 27 mai 2026 depuis Athènes. Merci beaucoup Alqi !
L'emblème de la FIP associé au logo de ce 100ème anniversaire sont simplement reproduits sur ce timbre (imprimés avec une encre dorée).

On April 22, 2026, the Greek Post issued a set of three stamps depicting various events and anniversaries, including one (€2.00, print run: 35,000) dedicated to the FIP's 100th anniversary.

"FIFA World Cup 2026" stamp on FDC from Monaco

Timbre "Coupe du monde de la FIFA 2026" sur FDC de Monaco 

L'office des timbres de Monaco émet depuis 1978 (Argentine) un timbre ou une série de timbres à l'occasion de chaque Coupe du monde de football.
Le 30 avril 2026, un timbre unique a été mis en circulation (comme en 2014, 2018 et 2022) concernant la Coupe du monde de la FIFA (23ème édition), organisée du 11 juin au 19 juillet 2026 au Canada, Mexique et États-Unis.
Ce timbre (2,25€, tirage : 40000, conception : Clara Mazgaj) sobrement intitulé "Football 2026", ne comporte aucune mention ni logo de cette compétition, uniquement les dates de début et de fin...
C'est ce timbre, imprimé en feuillet de 10 timbres, qui figure sur le FDC officiel ci-dessous, avec illustration à gauche représentant le palais princier.
Since the 1978 tournament (Argentina), the Monaco Stamp Office has issued a stamp or a series of stamps for every football World Cup.
On April 30, 2026, a single stamp was released (as was the case in 2014, 2018, and 2022) for the 23rd edition of the FIFA World Cup, hosted by Canada, Mexico, and the United States from June 11 to July 19, 2026.
This stamp (€2.25; print run: 40,000; design: Clara Mazgaj)—simply titled "Football 2026"—bears no mention or logo of the competition itself, displaying only the start and end dates...
This stamp, printed in sheetlet of ten, appears on the official First Day Cover below, which features an illustration of the Prince's Palace on the left.  

Ce timbre représente un ballon de football avec un ciel étoilé dans le fond et 3 monuments emblématiques des pays organisateurs : la Statue de la Liberté à New-York où la finale aura lieu ce soir entre l'Espagne et l'Argentine, la Tour CN à Toronto (1976, 553 mètres de haut) et la pyramide de Kukulcán, un monument précolombien situé dans l'État de Yucatán au Mexique à Chichén Itzá, un site archéologique classé au patrimoine mondial de l'UNESCO.
Cette Coupe du monde de la FIFA 2026 était organisée pour la première fois par 3 pays et est la première à réunir 48 équipes au lieu de 32 précédemment.
A noter que l'équipe nationale de football de Monaco (à ne pas confondre avec le club de l'AS Monaco qui évolue en championnat de France de football) n'est ni membre de la FIFA ni de l'UEFA et n'a donc jamais disputé de phases éliminatoires pour se qualifier à une coupe du monde de football... 
This stamp depicts a soccer ball with a starry sky in the background, along with three iconic landmarks from the host countries: the Statue of Liberty in New York—where the final match between Spain and Argentina is taking place tonight—the CN Tower in Toronto (built in 1976, standing 553 meters tall), and the Pyramid of Kukulcán. The latter is a pre-Columbian monument located at Chichén Itzá in the Mexican state of Yucatán, an archaeological site designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The 2026 FIFA World Cup was the first to be hosted by three countries and the first to feature 48 teams, up from the previous 32.
It is worth noting that the national football team of Monaco (not to be confused with the club "AS Monaco" playing in the French football championship) is not a member of FIFA or UEFA and has thus never played to qualify for a FIFA World Cup... 

EUROPA 2026 (70th anniversary of the EUROPA stamps) stamp set on cover from Croatia

Série EUROPA 2026 (70ème anniversaire des timbres EUROPA) sur lettre de Croatie 

L'année 2026 marque le 70ème anniversaire des timbres EUROPA, une initiative philatélique lancée pour renforcer les relations entre les pays européens et promouvoir une paix et une unité durables.
Émis pour la première fois en 1956 par six nations – la Belgique, la France, l'Allemagne, l'Italie, le Luxembourg et les Pays-Bas, membres fondateurs de l'Union européenne – ce programme s'est étendu progressivement à 53 organisations postales participantes.
L'an dernier, le groupe de travail Timbres et Philatélie de PostEurop a organisé un concours interne pour choisir un motif commun sur le thème "70ème anniversaire du timbre EUROPA : Unis par...".
Guidés par des valeurs partagées telles que la communication, l'innovation, la coopération et des racines communes, les membres ont soumis 15 propositions créatives, chacune présentant une vision unique. 
Suite au vote de 50 organisations postales, ce concours a été remporté par la poste finlandaise (Posti), devant la poste de Bosnie-Herzégovine (Sarajevo) et la poste luxembourgeoise.
C'est donc le projet de l'artiste et graphiste Klaus Welp qui figure sur les timbres EUROPA émis en 2026. 
The year 2026 marks the 70th anniversary of the EUROPA stamps, a philatelic initiative launched to strengthen relations between European countries and promote lasting peace and unity.
First issued in 1956 by six nations – Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, and the Netherlands, founding members of the European Union – this program has gradually expanded to include 53 participating postal organizations.
Last year, PostEurop's Stamps and Philately Working Group organized an internal competition to choose a common design on the theme "70th Anniversary of the EUROPA Stamp: United by...".
Guided by shared values ​​such as communication, innovation, cooperation, and common roots, the members submitted 15 creative proposals, each presenting a unique vision.
Following a vote by 50 postal organizations, the Finnish Post (Posti) won the competition, ahead of the Post of Bosnia & Herzegovina (Sarajevo) and the Post of Luxembourg.
The design by artist and graphic designer Klaus Welp will therefore be featured on the EUROPA stamps issued in 2026. 

Le 8 mai 2026, la poste croate a mis en circulation une série (2 timbres) consacrée à ce thème du 70ème anniversaire des timbres EUROPA, incluant tous les deux le logo EUROPA, celui reproduisant le projet de Klaus Welp et celui reproduisant le projet de la Croatie pour ce concours.
Ces 2 timbres (tarif permanent "B" - 1,70€ actuellement, tirage : 35000 chacun), imprimés chacun en feuille de 20 timbres, ont été utilisés sur la lettre ci-dessus envoyée récemment depuis Rijeka. Merci beaucoup Dragan !
Le timbre EUROPA commun (à droite) allie éléments abstraits et symboliques. La ligne pointillée ascendante en diagonale représente à la fois la perforation du timbre et le travail progressif de PostEurop. Les sept points, reliés par une ligne droite, symbolisent soixante-dix ans d'efforts concertés des opérateurs postaux à travers le continent.
Les dégradés et les motifs pointillés en arrière-plan forment une surface harmonieuse et dynamique, reflétant le joyeux mélange de couleurs du drapeau européen et symbolisant l'unité de tous les États membres.
L'autre timbre, conçu par Dean Roksandić, illustre certaines innovations (éoliennes, voitures électriques...) qui symbolisent le progrès technologique et la quête de la protection de l'environnement, avec les couleurs (jaune et bleu) du drapeau de l'Union européenne.
A noter que la Croatie a émis ses premiers timbres EUROPA en 1992 (500 ans de la découverte de l'Amérique), le premier pays de l'ancienne Yougoslavie à le faire. 
On May 8, 2026, the Croatian Post issued a two-stamp series dedicated to this 70th anniversary of the EUROPA stamps; both feature the EUROPA logo—one reproducing Klaus Welp's design and the other Croatia's entry for thi competition.
These two stamps (permanent "B" rate - currently €1.70; print run: 35,000 each), printed in sheets of 20, have been used on the cover above, recently sent from Rijeka. Many thanks, Dragan!
The common EUROPA stamp (on the right) combines abstract and symbolic elements. The diagonally ascending dotted line represents both the perforation of a stamp and the progressive work of the PostEurop. The seven dots, connected by a straight line, symbolize seventy years of unified effort by postal operators across the continent.
The blending gradients and dotted patterns in the background form a cohesive and vibrant surface, reflecting the joyful mix of colours from the European flag and symbolizing the unity of all member nations.
The other stamp, designed by Dean Roksandić, illustrates innovations (wind turbines, electric cars...) that symbolize technological progress and the pursuit of environmental protection, featuring the yellow and blue colors of the European Union flag.
It is worth noting that Croatia issued its first EUROPA stamps in 1992 (marking 500 years since the discovery of the Americas), becoming the first country from the former Yugoslavia to do so.  

"Uruguay-Peru Friendship Day" stamp on FDC from Uruguay

Timbre "Journée de l'amitié Uruguay-Pérou" sur FDC d'Uruguay 

Au siège du ministère des affaires étrangères à Montevideo, les services postaux uruguayens ont procédé, le 30 mai 2025, au lancement officiel d'un timbre célébrant la toute première Journée de l'amitié Uruguay-Pérou, les 2 pays ayant établi des relations diplomatiques le 16 mai 1862.
Lors de cette cérémonie, il a été rappelé que les liens d'amitié qui unissent le Pérou et l'Uruguay étaient fondés sur un passé commun et "dans un cadre de coopération bilatérale, d'intégration régionale et de respect mutuel". Il a été également annoncé qu'une exposition documentaire sur les relations bilatérales, fruit d'un travail conjoint des archives historiques des deux ministères des affaires étrangères, était organisée.
Le Pérou et l'Uruguay partagent des valeurs fondamentales telles que la défense de la démocratie, le respect des droits de l'homme, le droit international et l'engagement en faveur de l'intégration régionale.
Concernant les questions postales, il a été rappelé la participation du Pérou au premier Congrès postal continental sud-américain, tenu à Montevideo en 1911, qui a donné naissance à l'actuelle Union postale des Amériques, de l'Espagne et du Portugal (UPAEP).
On May 30, 2025, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs headquarters in Montevideo, the Uruguayan postal service officially launched a stamp celebrating the inaugural Uruguay-Peru Friendship Day, the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries having occured on May 16, 1862.
During the ceremony, it was noted that the bonds of friendship uniting Peru and Uruguay are rooted in a shared past and a framework of bilateral cooperation, regional integration, and mutual respect. It was also announced that a documentary exhibition on bilateral relations - the result of a joint effort by the historical archives of both foreign ministries - was being organized.
Peru and Uruguay share fundamental values ​​such as the defense of democracy, respect for human rights and international law, and a commitment to regional integration.
Regarding postal matters, the event recalled Peru's participation in the first South American Continental Postal Congress, held in Montevideo in 1911, which led to the creation of the current Postal Union of the Americas, Spain and Portugal (UPAEP).  

Ce timbre (90 UYU, conception : Alejandro Muntz, tirage : 5010) consacré à cette Journée de l'amitié Uruguay-Pérou, a été utilisé sur le FDC ci-dessus envoyé le 24 avril 2026 depuis Montevideo. Merci beaucoup Jorge ! 
Ce timbre comporte les drapeaux des 2 pays au centre ainsi que des timbres faisant partie des premières émissions locales.
A gauche en particulier le "Diligencia bleu" (60 centavos) faisant partie de la toute première série (3 timbres) émise le 1er octobre 1856 en Uruguay. Cette série privée (lithographie par Lucian Mége à partir du soleil des armoiries nationales) a été imprimée afin d'affranchir la correspondance postale transportée par malle-poste. 
L'autre timbre à droite illustre un des 2 premiers timbres utilisés au Pérou à partir de 1857. La République du Pérou, nouvellement créée, commença en effet à utiliser en 1857 des timbres lithographiés fournis initialement par la "Pacific Steam Navigation Company" (PSNC), une compagnie maritime britannique assurant le transport du courrier et les échanges commerciaux dans l'ouest de l'Amérique du Sud.
Le gouvernement péruvien autorisa, à titre d'essai, l'utilisation de deux timbres de la PSNC seulement (le 1 réal bleu et le 2 reales rouge) pour le courrier du service postal péruvien, à partir du 1er décembre 1857.

The stamp features the flags of both countries in the center, alongside stamps from their respective first local issues.
On the left, notably, is the "Diligencia blue" (60 centavos), part of the very first series (three stamps) issued in Uruguay on October 1, 1856. This private series (lithograph by Lucian Mége from the sun of the national coat of arms) was printed in order to postage the postal correspondence transported by mail coach.
The stamp on the right depicts one of the first two stamps used in Peru, starting in 1857. The newly established Republic of Peru indeed began using lithographed stamps in 1857; these were initially supplied by the Pacific Steam Navigation Company (PSNC), a British shipping service serving mail and trade at Western South America. a British shipping service serving mail and trade in western South America.
The Peruvian government authorized, as essay, using only two PSNC stamps (1 real blue and 2 reales red) for mail in the Peruvian postal service, from December 1, 1857. 

Gastronomy, symbols of love, pets, World Post Day stamps on cover from Thailand

Gastronomie, symboles de l'amour, animaux de compagnie et Journée mondiale de la poste sur lettre de Thaïlande 

L'année 2025 a marqué un tournant pour la Thaïlande, qui occupe désormais une place de choix sur l'échiquier gastronomique international. Les inspecteurs du Guide Michelin ont en effet attribué trois Étoiles au restaurant "Sorn" à Bangkok, avec à sa tête le talentueux chef-propriétaire autodidacte Supaksorn "Ice" Jongsiri.
Par ailleurs, le pays compte 7 restaurants deux Étoiles, 28 établissements une Étoile, 156 Bib Gourmand et 270 tables recommandées par le Guide Michelin.
Le 16 octobre 2025, la poste thaïlandaise a mis en circulation une jolie série (4 timbres - 5 THB, conception : Euamporn Supharoekchai) consacrée à la cuisine thaïlandaise, en particulier des plats de la carte de ce restaurant "Sorn". 
Trois de ces timbres ont été utilisés sur la lettre ci-dessous envoyée le 18 juin 2026 depuis Bangkok. Merci beaucoup Thein !
Ces 3 timbres illustrent (de gauche à droite) un curry jaune aigre, un curry vert au bœuf et une salade de riz. 
The year 2025 marked a turning point for Thailand, which now holds a prominent place on the international culinary stage. Michelin Guide inspectors indeed awarded three stars to the Bangkok restaurant "Sorn", led by the talented, self-taught chef-owner Supaksorn "Ice" Jongsiri.
In addition, the country boasts seven two-star restaurants, 28 one-star establishments, 156 Bib Gourmand venues, and 270 restaurants recommended by the Michelin Guide.
On October 16, 2025, Thailand Post issued a lovely series of four stamps (5 THB; designed by Euamporn Supharoekchai) dedicated to Thai food—specifically featuring dishes from the menu at this "Sorn" restaurant.

These three stamps depict (from left to right) a sour yellow curry, a beef green curry, and a rice salad.

This cover originated as the First Day Cover for the "Symbol of Love" stamp (10 THB, designed by Patipol Sorging), issued on February 6, 2026.
Featuring a depiction of Cupid, this stamp is part of a series launched in 2011 (unless I am mistaken) aimed at encouraging philatelic activities. 

Sur l'autre côté de l'enveloppe ci-dessus, Thein a utilisé à droite le 4ème timbre de cette série "cuisine thaïlandaise", un plat à base de crabe et sauce pimentée.
Le timbre "Symbole de l'amour" en haut (10 THB, conception : Euamporn Supharoekchai), émis le 7 février 2023. Il représente une rose arc-en-ciel, colorée et éclatante, symbolisant les différentes formes d'amour.
Le timbre en bas (3 THB) est le timbre commun "Journée mondiale de la poste - La poste pour la planète" émis le 9 octobre 2022, illustrant un message visuel simplifié sur la contribution de la poste à un avenir écologiquement durable.
Le bloc-feuillet à gauche (25 THB) a été émis le 20 février 2024 pour marquer la Journée mondiale pour aimer votre animal de compagnie.
Ce bloc-feuillet numéroté (tirage : 300000), conçu par Uamporn Suparerkchai, est spécial car il a été imprimé (en France par Cartor Security Printing) sur papier floqué avec aspect velours !
On the other side of the envelope above, Thein has used the fourth stamp from this "Thai Food" set on the right, featuring a crab dish with chili sauce.
The "Symbol of Love" stamp at the top (10 THB, designed by Euamporn Supharoekchai) was issued on February 7, 2023. It depicts a vibrant, colorful rainbow rose, symbolizing the various forms of love.
The stamp at the bottom (3 THB) is the joint issue for "World Post Day – Post for Plane", released on October 9, 2022; it conveys a simplified visual message about the postal service's contribution to an environmentally sustainable future.
The souvenir sheet on the left (25 THB) was issued on February 20, 2024, to mark "Love Your Pet Day".
This numbered souvenir sheet (print run: 300,000), designed by Uamporn Suparerkchai, is special because it was printed (in France by Cartor Security Printing) on ​​flocked paper with a velvety texture!

Après la Conférence de paix de Trianon en 1920, la Roumanie créa, le 21 avril 1920, la première compagnie aérienne transcontinentale au monde pour le transport régulier de passagers, de fret et de courrier, la Compagnie franco-roumaine de navigation aérienne (CFRNA).
Le programme de vols de la CFRNA comprenait la liaison Paris - Constantinople, avec des escales prévues à Strasbourg, Prague, Vienne, Budapest, Arad, Belgrade et Bucarest.
En 1925, la ville de Galați fut désignée comme première destination intérieure de Roumanie. Une expérience fut menée pendant 62 jours afin d'évaluer la rentabilité des vols entre Bucarest et Galați, à bord d'avions Potez XV de fabrication française.
Le 15 septembre 1925, un avion Potez XV transporta, avec à son bord plusieurs officiers en provenance de Bucarest, du courrier remis à Chișinău au guichet postal installé dans l'enceinte de l'Exposition générale de Bessarabie (15 août - 30 septembre 1925). 
Following the 1920 Peace Treaty of Trianon, Romania established the world's first transcontinental airline for the regular transport of passengers, freight, and mail on April 21, 1920: the "Compagnie franco-roumaine de navigation aérienne" (CFRNA).
CFRNA's flight schedule included the Paris - Constantinople route, with planned stops in Strasbourg, Prague, Vienna, Budapest, Arad, Belgrade, and Bucharest.
In 1925, the city of Galați was designated as Romania's first domestic destination. A 62-day experiment was conducted to assess the profitability of flights between Bucharest and Galați using French-made Potez XV aircraft.
On September 15, 1925, a Potez XV aircraft, carrying several officers from Bucharest, transported mail that had been handed over in Chișinău at a postal counter set up within the grounds of the General Exhibition of Bessarabia (August 15 - September 30, 1925).  

Le 24 juin 1926 , le trafic aérien intérieur sur la liaison Bucarest - Galați - Chișinău a été officiellement inauguré en présence du roi Ferdinand, de la famille royale et du corps diplomatique.
Des avions Havilland DH 9, fabriqués au Royaume-Uni, ont été utilisés. La Monnaie de Paris a commémoré l'événement en frappant une médaille en bronze argenté.
L'organisation et l'exploitation du transport du courrier postal dans des conditions modernisées ont été encore développées le 1er septembre 1928 avec l'introduction de la ligne Bucarest - Galați - Chișinău - Cernăuți, à l'occasion de laquelle la Direction générale des postes, télégraphes et téléphones (PTT) a émis les premiers timbres portant l'inscription "Poșta Aeriana" ("Poste aérienne"), connus parmi les philatélistes sous le nom d'émission "C. Raiu", qui est considérée comme le début de l'aérophilatélie roumaine. 
Le 24 juin 2026, les administrations postales de Roumanie et Moldavie ont mis en circulation une intéressante série commune (2 timbres + 1 bloc-feuillet, conception : George Ursachi) consacrée au 100ème anniversaire de l'inauguration de ce premier service de courrier aérien Bucarest - Galați - Chișinău.

On June 24, 1926, domestic air service on the Bucharest - Galați - Chișinău route was officially inaugurated in the presence of King Ferdinand, the royal family, and the diplomatic corps.
Havilland DH 9 aircraft manufactured in the United Kingdom were used. The Paris Mint celebrated the event by striking a silver-plated bronze medal.
The organization and operation of modernized airmail transport were further expanded on September 1, 1928, with the introduction of the Bucharest - Galați - Chișinău - Cernăuți route. To mark the occasion, the General Directorate of Posts, Telegraphs, and Telephones (PTT) issued the first stamps bearing the inscription "Poșta Aeriană" ("Air Mail"); known among philatelists as the "C. Raiu" issue, this is considered the beginning of Romanian aerophilately.
On June 24, 2026, the postal administrations of Romania and Moldova released an interesting joint issue (2 stamps + 1 souvenir sheet; design by George Ursachi) dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the inauguration of this first Bucharest - Galați - Chișinău airmail service.

Le bloc-feuillet (32 RON, tirage : 3250) représente un avion Havilland DH 9 survolant un viaduc au-dessus d'un paysage de Moldavie, en route vers Galați, les marges incluant une photographie de l'époque montrant des passagers à l'aéroport de Galați ainsi que la reproduction d'une enveloppe recommandée ayant été transportée lors de ce vol inaugural, le 24 juin 1926, entre Bucarest et de Chișinău.
Les 2 timbres ci-dessus ont été imprimés en feuille de 32 timbres (tirage : 10048) ainsi que dans 2 feuillets composés de 3 timbres + 1 vignette (tirage : 2450 feuillets).
Mihnea a utilisé les timbres extraits des feuillets, avec présence des armoiries de la Roumanie et de la Moldavie dans les marges. Le timbre à gauche (5,50 RON) représente des images de l'avion de transport du courrier, d'une enveloppe de correspondance et de l'itinéraire de vol illustré, l'autre timbre (16 RON) illustrant le même motif que sur le bloc-feuillet.
The souvenir sheet (32 RON, print run: 3,250) depicts a Havilland DH 9 aircraft flying over above a viaduct over a landscape of Moldova, en route to Galați; the margins feature a period photograph of passengers at Galați airport and a reproduction of a registered envelope carried on the inaugural flight between Bucharest and Chișinău on June 24, 1926.
The two stamps above have been printed in sheets of 32 (print run: 10,048) and in two types of mini-sheets consisting of three stamps + a label (print run: 2,450 mini-sheets).
Mihnea used stamps taken from these mini-sheets, which feature the coats of arms of Romania and Moldova in the margins. The stamp on the left (5.50 RON) depicts the mail transport plane, a correspondence envelope, and an illustrated flight route, while the other stamp (16 RON) features the same design as the souvenir sheet.
