A short post to share with you today this interesting official FDC of the Spanish Correos issued on June 17, 2011 dedicated to the Corps of Architects of the Treasury, created after a royal decree of June 24, 1906.
The stamp (€ 0.80), issued to 300,000 copies, is curiously mentionning the centenary of this Corps of Architects when we celebrate in fact its 105th anniversary in 2011 ??

Like other postal administrations, the Spanish Post allows the sending of FDC even after the first day of issue. This is the case here with this letter mailed on October 14, 2011 from Madrid. Thank you very much Luis :-)
The Architect of the Spanish Treasury is today a technician who also attends the Central Administration in all fields of architecture, specializing in real estate valuation for tax purposes and the control of tax evasion.
This Corps, composed of 400 architects today, depends on the Ministry of Economy and Finance now occupying the Sabatini building in Madrid, depicted on this stamp.
